Although she can’t keep the lid on the happy news any longer, the Oscar-winning actress sure knows how to keep a wrap on her growing belly… for now… in a slim-fit LBD.

She’s clearly not letting her pregnancy get in the way of her fashion forward ways — or her sexy streak — as she stepped out in a Michael Kors sleeveless black sheath dress with a thigh-high slit.

The stunning star, who posed alongside the designer and former Project Runway judge, was honored on Saturday in New York City for her work with the United Nations World Food Programme to help fight world hunger.

As blizzard Nemo blasts across the East Coast, Hollywood is bracing for what could be a record-breaking whiteout.

Whether its sending well-wishes to those in its path, bemoaning thwarted travel plans, or quipping about the name Nemo — he’s finally be found! — celebrities are turning to Twitter as they wrap their head around the snowstorm that threatening to wreak havoc in wake of Superstorm Sandy.

While many New Yorkers brave the snowflakes for the sake of Fashion Week — from Heidi Klum, to Michael Kors, to Peter Facinelli — others in the Tri-state area are hunkering down in the warmth of their homes, from Ashley Greene in Manhattan to Nicole “Snooki” Polizziin New Jersey.

But NYFW isn’t the only show that must go on. Justin Bieber, who is slated for double-duty as host and musical guest on Saturday Night Live this weekend, rose bright-and-early Friday for rehearsals in NBC’s Big Apple studio. “up real early today…and now a blizzard is coming,” he tweeted. “no issue. Im Canadian.”

A new season of Project Runway premieres tonight, and there’s a whole lot to be excited about. With Michael Kors signing off and Zac Posen in, we can expect a fresh new feel to the show.

Season 11 is sure to bring more fabulous guest appearances by fashion A-listers after last season upped the ante with Katie Holmes’ cameo — plus, more of the drama, style and Heidi-isms that have made the show a hit.

“Ten years has produced ten talented casts and racks of fashion eye candy!” says David Zyla, Emmy Award-winning stylist and author of Color Your Style.

With ten seasons and a successful spinoff, Project Runway All Stars, under its belt, it’s hard to remember what life was like pre-Project Runway. The fashion reality series has come a long way since its first season, when the designers, limited to items that they bought in a grocery store, fashioned looks made out of everything from crawfish and candy to aluminum foil and flat bread. Amazing.

Michelle Obama’s stylish race to the White House has finally come to end, culminating with her winning Election Night look.

Mrs. Obama donned an oxblood Michael Kors dress with a black shrug and pumps to join her family on stage to celebrate President Obama’s win on Tuesday night. A brooch — the First Lady’s go-to accessory — by House of Lavande added a touch of sparkle to her look.

While the chic burgundy frock and cropped cardi are all the rage right now, the First Lady’s Election Night ensemble is creating a buzz for another reason — she’s worn it before!

That’s right, for one of the most momentous — and photographed — occasions ever, Mrs. O repeated a dress she’s worn, not once — but twice — before.

If you’re thinking what we’re thinking — that Mrs. Obama’s Election Night dress is the perfect holiday party dress — well, you’re right. Michelle first wore the frock to a White House holiday party in 2009.

A year later, the down-to-earth First Lady dug the ladylike look out of her closet again for a military event.

While we applaud her practical approach to fashion — and who could blame Mrs. O for wanting to wear the stylish dress again, especially now that oxblood is so hot? — her choice to bring back the look for a third time on Election Night caught us by surprise.

After creating quite a commotion for the fiery red-and-black Narciso Rodriguez sheath she wore on Election Night in 2008, we expected the First Lady to rock a carefully chosen, never-seen-before style.

Was the First Lady sending a political message with her fashion repeat? Apparently the mom-in-chief was just facing the same fashion dilemma as any other busy mother: The First Lady was just too busy to think about what she would wear if her husband won, and fell back on the trusted Kors party dress at the last minute, an Obama source told People.

Project Runway judge and fashion designer Michael Kors presented his Spring 2013 collection to a star-studded audience on Wednesday.

On hand to view the ’60s-inspired sporty collection were fellow designer Rachel Zoe, Michael Douglas and wife Catherine Zeta Jones, Marisa Tomei, Katherine McPhee, Camilla Belle and more.

After the runway show, the beloved designer’s celebrity fans — many sporting his designs — stopped backstage to congratulate him, giving us a chance to get a closer look at their fab outfits. Our pics for best-dressed backstage include Tomei, looking glam in gold brocade pants and a black tuxedo jacket; McPhee, in a breezy tangerine tunic with gold detailing; and Olivia Munn in a simple yet sexy green shift.

And what about the fashion on the runway?

Known for his classic all-American style, Kors’ spring collection was all about primary colors and preppy patterns and prints.

Bright pops of red, green and blue freshened up go-with-everything neutrals black, white and khaki, while gold accents upped the elegance of the sporty looks.

Patterns played a role, with Kors bringing back a fresh take on watercolor designs and color blocking along with classic houndstooth and striped patterns. Like many other designers this season, Kors played with patterns, mixing vertical and horizontal stripes and wide and thin stripes. Our favorite idea was the black and white pleated skirt with solid black strips breaking up thin and thick striped panels.

And while we can never get enough stripes and color for spring, we loved the edgier twists that Kors sprinkled throughout the collection, from leather shifts and sexy cut-outs to exposed zippers and grommet detailing.

Kors also played with texture to great effect, adding sequins to spice up stripes and monochromatic looks and pleats to add swing to A-line skirts.

Our final verdict: From Palm Beach and Beverly Hills to Connecticut, Kors offered the preppy set plenty of fun options for spring. Expect to see celeb fans like Gwyneth Paltrow, McPhee and Zeta Jones appearing in some of the styles Kors showed on the runway.

In honor of Jennifer Hudson’s 30th birthday, we’re taking a look back at the singer and actress’ most fashionable moments.

Adding fashion designer to her resume, Hudson recently designed a 14-piece collection for QVC that she’s been promoting while in the Big Apple for New York Fashion Week.

The line’s versatile pieces — earth tone dresses, maxi skirts and leggings — is designed for women of all shapes and sizes. Hudson told WWD that she “wanted the clothes to be where any girl could wear it – no matter what size you are – and you could feel comfortable in it.”

But the truth is, the Weight Watchers’ spokesperson no longer has to worry about finding clothes that will fit her slimmed-down figure.

And it’s obvious the singer is having tons of fun dressing her new bod…

Even with her hair pulled back and wearing a casual off-the-shoulder top with jeans, 35-year-old Heidi Klum looks the very definition of sexy!

The supermodel mom and wife of pop singer Seal took her kids Helene “Leni”, 4, Henry, 3, and Johan, 2, to the Color Me Mine ceramic painting store in Beverly Hills yesterday for some creative time.

Seal and Heidi both know that three children can be a handful. But while proud poppa wasn’t in attendance, Heidi’s mother Erna was.

The German-born Klum matrons smiled as they helped the little tykes paint a green dinosaur, a coffee mug…and even little Johan’s hand!

Heidi’s show Project Runway, in the meantime, is still in legal limbo. Runway‘s original cable network Bravo successfully sued in September to keep the series from moving to a new home on Lifetime.

However, by late November, Lifetime had counter-sued in a bid to keep Bravo from moving forward with their re-acquired program.

In an interview that ran last week in the Washington Blade, Project Runway mentor Tim Gunn stated, “We have this horrible, nasty court case. We have an angry Bravo/NBC. We have an angry Lifetime. We have, I’m sure, an angry [producer] Weinstein Company. We have Heidi and I despondent about the whole thing. We worry that season six will never be seen by anyone.”

Here’s hoping for an early resolution, for the sake of the show’s legion of fans!

For five seasons Project Runway aired on NBC Universal-owned Bravo.

After producers the Weinstein Co.’s contract was up at the cable channel this year, the company signed a deal with Lifetime to air the program.

But Bravo successfully sued in September to keep the Heidi Klum-hosted reality series from being moved to Lifetime.

The latest, E! Online notes, is that Lifetime went to Manhattan federal court on Tuesday to put the brakes on Bravo’s plan to move ahead with their re-gained assett.

“Lifetime asserts that the network holds the copyrights to the show and that any attempt by Bravo Media to hang onto it would be a violation of those rights,” says the site.

The Weinstein Co. is named in the suit, as well. They seem to have sold Runway to Lifetime for $20 million, despite the series not being “free and clear of any third-party obligations.”

The sixth season of Runway was set to air on Lifetime in January 2009; it will likely be pushed back till at least next summer while the legal battle is hashed out.

So where does this all leave 35-year-old Heidi Klum? Probably wishing she could sprout wings and fly away.

Well, okay, it’s probably unfair to insinuate the good friend of John Mayer would be up to anything shady. She was actually just attending a Los Angeles Victoria’s Secret party celebrating The Heidi Klum Collection for Very Sexy Makeup.

Anyway, hang in there, Heidi; even though showbiz is a delicate song and dance, this whole Runway mess will surely get straightened out.

Forget the more disastrous mishaps that occurred during New York’s Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week; the Project Runway gang have stitched the industry event up and restored it to its classy glory.

Heidi Klum, Michael Kors, Nina Garcia and Tim Gunn swung into Bryant Park yesterday, along with contestants new and old, for the Project Runway Finalists Fashion Show Spring 2009 at The Promenade.

Something happy must be going on behind the scenes with Garcia, because this marks the second time in a month that the cranky Elle editor-at-large has actually smiled.

Maybe Tim Gunn was whispering scathing insults about the other celebs in attendance to make her giggle.

As for Joe Faris, he sure didn’t waste any time taking advantage of the fact that he’s the only straight male contestant left from Season 5.

Jennifer Lopez will be a no-show for Project Runway‘s season finale.

Us reports that J.Lo was supposed to serve on the judging panel but dropped out due to a “foot injury.” What kind of foot injury prevents someone from judging a fashion show?

Surely the actress/dancer/triathlon aspirant can work through the pain of wise-cracking about hemlines from a fully-reclined position with the Runway gang of Nina Garcia, Heidi Klum and Michael Kors. 

Tearing further holes in her moth-eaten excuse, the J-Diva’s been seen all over Fashion Week, sans foot problems.

If the former Fly Girl was craftier, she would have come up with a better excuse like “exhaustion” from running after her newborn twins with husband Marc Anthony. Then again, the foot injury could be real; she has been kicking a lot of nannies out the door lately.

Luckily, Tim Gunn will step in for Jennie on the judging panel. Tim will make it work, people, even if he sometimes makes it hurt.

Rejoice, all you closet designers (and closeted designers)… Project Runway‘s fifth season finally trotted down the runway last night.

Unfortunately, it looks like newly-tatted host Heidi Klum got a little confused on the promotional circuit and put on her ABBA drag by mistake. No, Heidi, you’re not in Mamma Mia! Sorry, but you’re out.

Anyway, this season promises the crème de la crème of A-list celeb judges: RuPaul! Diane Von Furstenberg! Brooke Shields!

Christie Brinkley was probably just too swamped to shoot an episode.

And before you ask, yes, by the end of the episode, Tim Gunn told the contestants to “make it work.” After five seasons, that oft-used phrase still has all the zip and charm it did on day one, no? Anyone?
