TMZ reports that associates of troubled actress Lohan—who’s recently been receiving harassing phone calls and text messages while undergoing rehab treatment at the Betty Ford Center—believe that the person behind the calls is none other than Osama “Sam” Lutfi, the self-styled former manager of Britney Spears who glommed onto the singer while she was experiencing her own troubles.

Lutfi—who was slapped with a permanent restraining order last year after Spears’ father/conservator, Jamie, characterized him as “dangerous” and a “predator” during court proceedings—has reportedly been in close contact with LiLo’s father, Michael Lohan. In at least one of the messages in question, Lindsay is warned to stay away from her mother, Dina Lohan—who shares a less-than-ideal relationship with her ex-husband Michael.

For his part, Lutfi denies the new allegations, claiming that Lohan’s reps also used to rep Spears, and it’s all a big plot against him.

Meanwhile, the texts and phone calls have become so problematic that Lindsay—who’s scheduled to remain at Betty Ford until January 3—has been moved to a more secure location of the facility.

TMZ reports that the troubled actress received a day pass from the Betty Ford Center—where she’s currently undergoing rehab treatment—in order to spend Turkey Day with her father Michael Lohan, with whom she recently reconnected after a prolonged period of estrangement.

The mother and father were reportedly joined for the Los Angeles feast by a number of Lindsay’s friends. The actress was picked up from Betty Ford by her assistant, Eleonore Lieven, to make the two-hour drive from Palm Springs, California, to Los Angeles.

Celebuzz talked to Michael at the event to set the record straight, and he tells us “Lindsay left Inferno. Wilder can go shove it up his butt. She didn’t want to do that movie. He’s full of it. He was trying to ride our coattails.”

Lohan’s highly-anticipated starring role in Inferno had been in limbo after failing two drug tests and stints in jail and rehab, which caused shooting to be delayed. Last week, Wilder finally announced Malin Akerman would replace her, and claimed Lindsay was fired.

“She doesn’t need to do a movie like that,” Michael Lohan told Celebuzz. “Give me a break. Great thing to do for a girl that’s going through recovery. Put her in a position to act in a position where she’s a drug addict. Real genius, and he cares, right? Come on. Biggest hypocrite on the planet.”

Then Michael threatened, “If he wants to say he fired my daughter or let her go, let him say it to my face.”

In a major “look who’s talking” moment, Lindsay Lohan‘s father, Michael Lohan, tells PopEater that he thinks Demi Lovato‘s birth father, Patrick Lovato, needs to pipe down about his daughter’s recent admission to a rehab facility.

Yes, the same Michael Lohan who couldn’t even stop publicly commenting on his daughter without issuing a statement announcing his intention to do so.

The elder Lovato, who’s been largely estranged from his Disney princess daughter since divorcing her mother Dianna in 1994, raised eyebrows last week when he crawled out of the woodwork to tell the media that his daughter’s troubles stem from  the pressures of fame. The outcry included a statement from Disney’s legal team that emphatically noted,

“No one speaks for Demi except for her designated representatives. Unfortunately, several people have taken it upon themselves to speak out — both on and off the record — about a situation they know nothing about.”

Now Lohan has joined the chorus of naysayers, telling PopEater’s Rob Shuter,

“There are two reasons why I have no respect for people who talk or comment about others. First, it’s because, in most cases, those individuals are looking from the outside in, and they are passing judgment or commenting on people they know nothing about. The second reason is because they are too cowardly to say it to the person themselves.”

Oh, and Papa Lohan doesn’t want the elder Lovato talking about Lindsay, either, lest he decide to make any comparisons between the two troubled starlets:

“I ask Demi Lovato’s father to refrain from making asinine statements about my daughter, or say it to my face himself. And if so, I will pay for the transportation and his hospital bills.”

Those sound like fighting words.

According to a source, the recently troubled Mean Girls actress reunited with her father, Michael Lohan, on Sunday, going on a shopping excursion after meeting up at the rehab facility.

The pair have had a less than ideal relationship over the past several years, with the 24-year-old actress going so far as to seek a cease and desist order against the elder Lohan in September after he reportedly attempted to sell portions of her diary from an earlier rehab stint. The source says of the get-together, which occurred shortly after 1 p.m. on Sunday,

“It was an emotional reunion… there were hugs, kisses and even a few tears when Michael and Lindsay first saw each other…it was not a fleeting encounter, this appeared well-planned in advance.”

The insider notes that, after the teary-eyed greeting, the father-and-daughter duo visited a shopping mall in nearby Palm Desert, where “they were seen walking around together and at one point, were in a jewelry store.”

According to reports, Lohan cried while read a hand-written letter to Judge Elden Fox, and later said “thank you” when the judge ordered her to rehab instead of jail. TMZ reports that the probation department requested jail for Lohan, but Fox believed rehab would be a better fit.

Lindsay was due in court for violating her probation after she failed two drug tests just a few weeks after being released from court-ordered inpatient rehab. She arrived to court bearing a glowing smile.

In a Twitter message to fans, Lindsay confirmed that she had failed the drug test. “Substance abuse is a disease, which unfortunately doesn’t go away overnight,” Lindsay tweeted, “I am taking responsibility for my actions and I’m prepared to face the consequences.”

Linday reportedly tested positive for both cocaine and amphetamines. It wasn’t immediately clear if the amphetamines were from Adderall, which Lindsay is legally prescribed by a physician. If the amphetamines were from Adderall, the starlet may not face charges for that failed drug test.

On September 20 a warrant was issued for Lindsay’s arrest after Judge Elden Fox was notified of her failed drug test. Lindsay appeared before the court on September 24 and was hauled off to jail. However, less than 24 hours later, the starlet posted bail and was released from custody. Lindsay immediately checked into the Betty Ford Clinic after being released from jail.

Lindsay was sentenced to 90 days in jail and 90 days in inpatient rehab on July 6. The jail sentence came after Lindsay was convicted of violating the terms of her probation stemming from a 2007 DUI conviction.

The trouble starlet went to jail on July 20 but was released on August 2 after serving on 12 days of her 90-day sentence. After being released from jail, Lindsay was immediately taken to rehab at the UCLA Medical Center where she began her 90-day inpatient rehab sentence. However, Lindsay was released from the rehab center–with the blessing of her doctors at UCLA–after she served only 22 days. She continued outpatient rehab treatment and daily drug testing.

As previously reported, Lindsay left the Betty Ford Clinic on Thursday night to prepare for today’s court appearance. The starlet is hoping to avoid jail and stick to her current rehab program. Insiders think that Lindsay will likely do time but it all comes down to Judge Fox’s decision.

Papa Lohan issued a statement to this effect to the media today, perhaps as a peace offering directed straight at Lindsay, who is due in court on Friday to find out if she’ll be heading to jail or back to rehab.

“I want to make a public statement that I will not be commenting on ANYTHING relating to my daughter Lindsay, or ANYTHING my ex-wife Dina, or any ‘sources’ related to her, might say,” Lohan claims. “NO MATTER what accusations, lies or conjecture are disseminated to the public about me, for the sake of the ones I love and with hope of creating peace, I WILL NOT respond, in ANY way, to what is said or done, to me.”

“For the sake of those I offended,” he concludes, “I apologize and ask their forgiveness … So please refrain from calling or contacting me.”

According to reports, LiLo—who’s currently cooling her heels in rehab at the Betty Ford Center after testing positive on a court-ordered drug test—has been telling pals that her father is to blame for the situation that she finds herself in, thanks to his history of incarceration, absenteeism and alleged abusive behavior.

And now Papa Lohan is stepping up to say that his daughter’s accusations are untrue—his ex-wife, Dina Lohan, has provided plenty of help in destabilizing Lindsay’s life as well.

The elder Lohan tells TMZ that Dina engaged in a streak of reckless behavior that definitely left its mark on an impressionable young Lindsay. Chief among the accusations: That, when LiLo was 4 years old, Dina got into an argument with Michael’s mother—and allegedly smashed a phone across her face, causing an injury that required six stitches.

Michael goes on to claim that Dina once attempted to attack Michael, leaping over two beds to get at him—and accidentally knocking herself out in the process.

For the record, a friend of Dina’s says that Michael’s claims are “absolutely not true. She will not respond to anything Michael Lohan says.” 

Maybe they can work out a joint custody arrangement for the guilt over ruining their daughter’s life.

The troubled actress—who was hauled away in cuffs following a probation violation hearing on Friday morning—won’t be allowed any visits from her family, at least for the time being.

According to Radar Online, the Los Angeles Superior Court has approved only three “professional visitors” for Lohan: Her attorney, Shawn Capman Holley; her psychiatrist, Dr. Lee Sadja; and Gary Richman, and addiction specialist from the Advanced Pain Treatment and Diagnostics Group.

Lohan, who was booked into jail at 10:05 AM, is expected to remain at Lynwood until October 22, when her formal hearing and sentencing are scheduled to take place. The Machete actress was jailed after failing at least one court-mandated drug test, in violation of her probation conditions.

Of course, considering her contentious relationship with father Michael Lohan, the lack of family visitation might be more of a positive than a negative.

According to RadarOnline, the recently freed starlet wants her father to stop selling her personal property. It is believed that Michael was attempting to sell portions of Lindsay’s diary which were written when she was in rehab at the Cirque Lodge in 2007.

In the letter, Lindsay’s lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, calls Michael’s attempt to sell Lindsay’s personal diary “shameful” and claims that her 24-year-old client is “appalled” by his actions.

Lindsay has had a troubled relationship with her father for years. In 2005, the Mean Girls star released a song, “Confessions of a Broken Heart,” which documented the problems she and her family has had with Michael. Watch the music video below.

In a recent Vanity Fair interview, Lindsay said she was upset when she saw her father at her court sentencing in July because she knew he was going to “turn around and do an interview.” After Lindsay was sentenced to jail, Michael said that he and his daughter needed to “mend fences.”

Of her notorious father, Michael Lohan, Lindsay says: “I think my biggest focus for myself is learning how to continue to get through the trauma that my father has caused in my life.”

The tabloid fixture/celebrity dad/jailbird tells Radar Online that he’s pulling up stakes and moving to California—so he can open a rehab facility where “God will be a major element in recovery”:

“Yes, it’s, true, I’ll be running it. I think it’s time that [ex-wife] Dina and I both step out of the media for a while, and for me that means getting back to what I know best — helping people with addiction.”

Michael’s daughter Lindsay Lohan was released earlier this week following a rehab stint at UCLA Medical Center. Linds may want to prepare herself for some tough treatment should she attend, doled out without the benefit of doctor-prescribed meds:

“I’m going to have a protocol that will be have to be followed. I don’t believe in prescription drugs. If people come in on them they’re going to have to get off of them, otherwise they’ll be looking for another rehab…I believe spirituality and holistic methods can cure anything. God will be a major element in recovery.”

Though they hadn’t been a couple of late, Ronson has thrown her support behind Lindsay in these tough times.

Just a day earlier, Lindsay’s mother and sister — Dina and Ali — visited the starlet.

Meantime, Lindsay’s dad, Michael, found himself in trouble on Wednesday when he was officially charged with harassment after an incident with his fiance, Kate Major. She claims he pushed and kicked her, which Lohan denies.

The Southhampton Police Department filed the charges against Lohan, who allegedly pushed and kicked Major during an argument earlier this week. Following the Monday fight, Major filed for a restraining order against Lohan, eventually leading to the charges.

Lohan insists that Major was drunk during the afternoon incident, and maintains his innocence. In a statement issued by his lawyer, Lohan said:

“Michael Lohan 100% denies each and every one of Kate Major’s allegations.  He has never threatened to harm her, never assaulted her, and never physically abused her in any way. Kate was heavily intoxicated during the verbal argument between Michael and Kate in the early afternoon on Monday.  Michael Lohan has been clean and sober for six years.”

Major, a former reporter for Star magazine, became engaged to Lohan in April. Before falling for the Lohan patriarch, she had a brief romance with Jon Gosselin.

This is the second time this week a Lohan has found him/herself on the wrong side of the law. On Tuesday, days before her dad’s charges were handed down, Lindsay was taken to jail to begin serving her 90-day sentence for violating her probation.

The incident reportedly took place around 2 PM Monday afternoon, right before Michael flew to LA to be with Lindsay as she turned herself in to jail.

For his part, Michael acknowledges to TMZ there was a fight, but denies it ever got physical. He claims Kate has “severe drinking problems” and is upset about a reality show he is producing.

As for the show, Celebrity House NY will debut as a web series on August 1, starring Michael himself, Kate Major and Hailey Glassman, among others, all living together Real World style. Interestingly, Major and Glassman both previously dated reality tv dad of eight Jon Gosselin.
