The producers behind the highly addictive reality television series, Cheaters, are taking the caught-in-the-act investigative show to a new level.

Cheaters producers, Bobby Goldstein Productions, will turn its focus on Hollywood with a spinoff called Celebrity Cheaters. And Celebuzz has learned that it has tapped Lindsay Lohan’s estranged father, Michael Lohan, to host the show.

“You are going to see a whole new side of Michael Lohan,” Bobby Goldstein confirms to CB!, “one the public will strongly support as Lohan courageously exposes the toxic nature of cheating celebrity relationships in Hollywood.”

Michael may be able to provide his own insight into the show’s cases as he recently had to defend himself against reports that he cheated and had a love child while married to Dina Lohan.

We’re told the production company is negotiating with cop-turned-celebrity private eye Bo Dietl for the lead investigator role on the new show. Dietl was a detective for the New York City Police Department and served as the Chairman of the New York State Security Guard Advisory Council under New York governors George Pataki and Eliot Spitzer.

Apparently, several interested cable networks are already circling the project.

Cheaters – currently hosted by Clark Gable III — is currently in its 14th season of syndication.

Dear Michael,

Just stop. Stop judging your daughter in public. Do you honestly think that public humiliation is an effective parenting technique? Wrong! It is just about as effective as publicly attacking her mother. The sad thing is you actually have the potential to play a positive role in helping to your daughter—but not as long as you violate everyone’s trust with the constant finger pointing and blatant spotlight grabbing. An intervention might have really helped Lindsay—but you tainted any legitimacy of the process by alerting the media.

Dear Dina,

You have a point about Michael’s constant grab for attention, thinly disguised as concern for your daughter. Obviously, an intervention isn’t really an intervention when the most important guests on the “support list” are a camera crew. However, you, yes you, are way overdue for a hard, honest look into your own mirror. It seems pretty clear that Lindsay’s two biggest danger zones are driving and nightclubs. Even the LA judge advised Lindsay to stay away from the clubs. I would think that your daughter’s running tally of mug shots (five now but soon to be six after the new charges just filed in Los Angeles) would be enough for a mother to think about keeping her daughter out of nightclubs and the driver’s seat. Instead, night after night, you are out partying with her. Out of all the things Lindsay needs right now, a wingman isn’t one of them.

And your own pattern of giving interviews trying to excuse or deny Lindsay’s troubling behavior is not helping her face reality. That time and energy on your part would be much better spent actually confronting the real issues with your daughter behind closed doors.

Michael, Dina, maybe it is time for you both to step back and let Lindsay find herself. Let her face responsibilities, and consequences. Let her work for what she wants. No more enabling or shielding. No more drama. At least not from you two. Right now the best gift you can give her as her parents is a break from your toxic influences. Let her figure out who she wants to be. And please, go get your own lives.

After Lindsay Lohan’s latest arrest, her father is not coming to her rescue – or her defense.

In fact, Michael Lohan told Celebuzz he’s leaving her fate up to God.

“I’ve done all I can do,” Michael said, adding he hasn’t spoken to his 26-year-old daughter since her arrest this morning. “If she doesn’t get it by now, forget it. If she doesn’t see the signs, it’s horrible.

“She’s in God’s hands now and they’re a hell of a lot worse than mine.”

While Michael is making statements about his daughter’s latest run-in with the law, Lindsay’s mother and manager Dina Lohan is speaking out about his comments, imploring him to “stop injecting yourself into every story,” she said in a statement to Entertainment Tonight.

“While I cannot, and will not comment on open legal matters involving my daughter who I love dearly, I will respond to her father’s latest media grabbing headlines. Instead of rushing to a camera or a microphone, wouldn’t my ex’s alleged parental concerns to protect our daughter be better served by handling her challenges privately,” Dina said in the statement.

“Why would Lindsay trust a parent who tapes and sells her private recordings, a father who shows up by himself with a television crew to force his entry into her home for an ‘intervention’, an ‘intervention’ I KNEW NOTHING ABOUT,” she continued. “Before you go to the press a minute after our daughter’s headlines hits the airwaves, take a pause Michael, stop injecting yourself into every story, as this once again proves to your daughter, your sole desperate agenda is in keeping yourself relevant.”

The Liz & Dick actress was taken into New York Police Department custody early Thursday morning. She was charged with a third degree misdemeanor assault after allegedly punching Tiffany Eve Mitchell during a late-night altercation at Avenue nightclub in the Chelsea neighborhood.

The fight started when Lindsay allegedly told the 28-year-old, who was sitting at a nearby table, to “Give [her] space.” The war of words turned physical with the embattled actress allegedly punched the female patron on the left side of her face.

Lindsay was cuffed when the police stopped her car as she left the venue.

This is the second time Lindsay has been taken into custody in NYC over the last few months. In September, she was arrested for an alleged hit-and-run in front of the Dream hotel.

The actress’ dad, Michael Lohan, has discovered he fathered a daughter with former mistress Kristi Horn. Following long-running rumors that he had an illegitimate child, Michael submitted to a DNA test on an episode of The Trisha Goddard Show, which will air Thursday.The results returned positive, confirming Horn’s claims that Michael is the father of her 17-year-old daughter, Ashley.

The paternity proves Michael carried on an affair with Horn during his 22-year marriage to ex-wife, Lindsay’s mother Dina Lohan, which ended with divorce in 2007.

For years, Horn has publicly avowed that Michael is Ashley’s biological father, even reaching out to the Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew star to ask for child support. Though he has always adamantly denied the allegations, Michael, 52, agreed to settle the matter by taking a DNA test.

During the episode of the daytime NBC talker, Michael comes face-to-face with his teenage daughter for the first time. After the results are revealed, Michael stands to try to embrace Ashley, but she cries out, “No, no, no,” according to the Daily Mail. “I don’t want to be a part of what they’ve called the Lohan train wreck,” she admits.

Ashley makes Michael a father of five children — she joins a brood of Lindsay, 26, Michael Jr., 25, Ali, 18 and Cody, 15. And he has another on the way — Michael is expecting his first child with former tabloid reporter, Kate Major, 29.

The news comes just weeks after Lindsay had a falling out with her father. After she phoned him during her now-infamous tear-filled feud with mom Dina, Michael leaked the conversation. “I think everyone knows my father’s main objective has always been to…gain all he can from my name” she told TMZ at the time, adding that he has a “hunger for fame. I’m ashamed for him and it’s hurtful to me. He doesn’t know what it means to be a father at this point, and it’s kind of the last straw for him.”

Two days after Lindsay Lohan’s father Michael initiated a failed intervention at her Beverly Hills home, a Los Angeles based fitness trainer has come forward and identified himself as the actress’ boyfriend.

“I’ve been trying to get Lindsay to focus. But how do you get her to focus with all the stuff going on around her? I can barely focus,” Chunn, 25, told The New York Daily News over the weekend.

The two were first linked together during Friday’s intervention, when Lohan’s father claimed that Chunn was also in on the plan.

“She’s a strong girl. She’s cleaning up . . . I just want her to be okay. I want us to be okay,” Chunn told the Daily News.

Following the intervention, Lohan took to Twitterto clear the air about her love life.

“I don’t have a boyfriend. I have Chanel, Hermes and diamonds. X,” she wrote.

Boyfriend or not, Chunn definitely appears to be on Team Lindsay.

“I think I’m the best influence on her,” he gushed to the Daily News.

“I’m there for Lindsay. I listen. I work hard for my money. I pay my own bill when we go out. I have a schedule. That’s the problem with these kids in L.A., they don’t have a schedule. All they want to do is party.”

On Saturday, Lohan’s mother Dina told TMZthat her ex-husband’s intervention plan is just another cry for attention.

“This sole act by my ex was not an intervention nor was this extreme antic sanctioned by any member of Lindsay’s family or her professional team of handlers,” she told TMZ.

“It’s all about her father obsessed with making a name for himself in the news once again. It’s sad and I hope he stops masquerading as her father in public and starts acting like one in private.”

Hours after her father Michael showed up to her house in a (failed) attempt to stage an intervention, Lindsay fired back via Twitter.

“I don’t have a boyfriend,” she wrote on Friday, possibly referencing to Michael’s claim that the intervention also involved Lohan’s alleged boyfriend.

“I have Chanel, Hermes and diamonds. X,” she continued.

Lindsay wasn’t the only one who had a few words for her dad.

On Saturday, Lindsay’s mother Dina Lohan surfaced with a few nasty words for her ex-husband.

“This sole act by my ex was not an intervention nor was this extreme antic sanctioned by any member of Lindsay’s family or her professional team of handlers,” Dina told TMZ.

“It’s all about her father obsessed with making a name for himself in the news once again. It’s sad and I hope he stops masquerading as her father in public and starts acting like one in private.”

As previously reported, Michael Lohan arrived at his daughter’s Beverly Hills home — uninvited — on Friday afternoon in a plan to get her back into rehab.

“I’ve just left Lindsay’s house,” he told Celebuzz after. “It didn’t go well.”

As sources revealed to TMZ following the failed intervention, Lindsay has not relapsed, is not drinking or doing drugs and has no need for rehab.

This latest incident involving the Lohan family comes just days after police were called to Dina’s Long Island home to attend to an altercation between Lindsay and her mother. Lohan claimed that her mom was using cocaine and had tried to kidnap her.

Michael Lohan staged an intervention at his daughter, Lindsay Lohan‘s home in a desperate attempt to get her back into rehab and The Daily Buzz is discussing the incident.

The father of the troubled star, 26, spoke to Celebuzz after he visited her Beverly Hills home on Friday and confirmed the incident, however the result wasn’t what he had hoped for.

“I’ve just left Lindsay’s house,” he said. “It didn’t go well.”

What sparked his concerns?

Lindsay had cops swarming her house in an attempt to get her dad off her property, but Michael, 52, told TMZ’s cameras he wasn’t going anywhere.

“I’m just trying to resolve some issues that Lindsay is having,” he said. “She is just around all the wrong people.”

He branded her friends a bunch of “alcoholics” and “drug addicts” before claiming everyone on her team is concerned for her health.

“I just want to talk some sense into her and get her some help. Thats all we want,” he told the site. “We want the best for her. We want her to pick up where she left off at Betty Ford.”

Lindsay has a long history of trouble and has been in rehab a total of three times. She served 480 hours of community service and therapy sessions for a 2011 shoplifting offense.

In September 2012, she was arrested for an alleged hit and run when she was accused of striking chef Jose Rodriguez with her car before a night out at a New York nightclub.

Most recently, cops were called after a bizarre incident involving an altercation between Lindsay and her mom, Dina. The actress claimed her mom was using cocaine and tried to kidnap her.

It seems Lindsay Lohan‘s family drama is a never-ending saga.

In the latest episode, the actress battled with mom Dina Lohan in a tear-strewn, late-night spat on Oct. 10. After her profanity-filled phone conversation with father Michael Lohan from the night of the heated brawl suspiciously surfaced, Lindsay was left fuming. “He doesn’t know what it means to be a father,” she told TMZ, adding that the leak may have been “the last straw for him.”

Then Dina reportedly encouraged her daughter to take legal action against her father. Dina suggested Lindsay seek a permanent protection order, prohibiting Michael from contacting the Liz & Dick star through any medium, including phone calls, texts or e-mails. But sources tell the site that Lindsay is ignoring her mother’s pleas in a bit to avoid airing her family’s dirty laundry in the courtroom.

Is that the right move for the ever-embattled actress?

“I don’t know that filing a protection order against [Michael] is really the answer,” said HLN host Jane Velez-Mitchell, after addressing questions in Celebuzz’s #AskJane video feature. “Especially because reportedly that’s Dina’s idea.” But “Dina and Michael have shown their true colors and shown essentially that their behavior is immature. I like Michael Lohan. I’ve talked to him. He tells me he’s sober. I don’t think he has a malicious bone in his body, but some of the decisions that he’s made are questionable.”

And Lindsay’s mother is no better. “She’s out partying till the wee hours of the morning with her famous daughter who has been in and out of rehab numerous times,” explained Velez-Mitchell. “[It's a] bad idea…trying to be your daughter’s friend as opposed to a parent.”

In all Michael and Dina’s bickering back-and-forth, Lindsay “is being used as a football between these two warring and competitive parties,” the award-winning TV journalist said. “What a pathetic and sad commentary on their level of maturity — or lack of maturity.”

Velez-Mitchell concludes that both parents are equally culpable. “Michael, I like you,” she said. “You’re a good guy. But my gosh, how can you point the finger at Dina and you’re doing something like that? And Dina, you’re saying, ‘He’s the problem.’ But why are you out partying with your daughter till the wee hours? She’s not supposed to be doing that [because] she’s hopefully sober. Shame on both of you, frankly.”

Parents know best — except maybe Lindsay Lohan‘s folks.

But sources tell the site that the Liz & Dick actress is dodging her mother’s pleas, both because she thinks the move too extreme and she wants to avoid airing her family’s dirty laundry in the courtroom.

And Michael himself insists his daughter — who, even post-scuffle, referred to her mother as her “best friend” on a red carpet last week — wouldn’t go so far as to bring him before a judge. “Lindsay isn’t willing to do it,” he told the Daily News.”I just want this to end.”

But it seems now more than ever, Lindsay is simply been tossed around like a proverbial puppet between feuding mother and father. Lindsay Lohan accused her mother, Dina, of being on cocaine at the time of their violent scuffle early Wednesday morning, according to a leaked audio conversation obtained Wednesday by TMZ.

In a phone call placed early on October 10 to her father, Michael, Lindsay is reportedly heard saying, “Dad, she’s on cocaine.  She’s like touching her neck, and s**t” as the fight escalated.

“She’s saying disgusting things to me …” Lindsay, 26, continues. “I’m dead to her now.”

“She’s like the f**king devil right now … I have a gash on my leg from what happened.”

According to TMZ, the fight — which occurred in a limousine while the mother-daughter combo was on their way home from clubbing in New York — began when Lindsay asked Dina to return $40,000 she had borrowed to save her house from foreclosure.

The fight got so bad, cops were waiting outside of Dina’s home in North Merrick, Long Island, when she and Lindsay arrived.

A source close to the incident told RadarOnline that Lindsay told her mother to go to rehab during their fight.

“Dina went absolutely ballistic when Lindsay said this to her and insisted that there was no reason for her to get treatment,” the source revealed Wednesday.

“Lindsay is very concerned about her mom though and tried to convey this to Dina, but she was very emotional and tired. Lindsay even told her mom that she shouldn’t be going out to clubs with her and should act more like her mother and less like her friend.”

Whatever went down, Lindsay and Dina appear to have moved past the now-infamous scuffle. In photos released online Wednesday, they were seen hugging each other outside of Dina’s home on Long Island.

Leaked phone conversations have often played a key role in the Lohan family’s ongoing saga.

In November 2009, during the peak of Lindsay’s battle with drugs and alcohol, phone conversations in which Lindsay complained about everything from her family to her ex-girlfriend, Samantha Ronson, were released to RadarOnline.

“No one cares about me. They don’t, by the way. It’s about how they feel, not how I feel. It’s not about me. It’s never been about me, unless I fight for it,” she told Michael at the time.

Michael Lohan fears  Lindsay Lohan obsession with Marilyn Monroe is starting to become a case of life imitating art.

In an exclusive interview with the The Daily Buzz, Lohan spoke out about his daughter’s most recent troubles and says he’s worried about her life spiralling out of control just like her favorite Hollywood icon.

“Lindsay has an infatuation with Marilyn Monroe which kind of scares me,” he admitted.

So where does he think she is headed?

The young star, 26, is portraying another screen siren, Elizabeth Taylor, in the Lifetime movie Liz and Dick and Michael says he can see dangerous similarities between his own flesh and blood and the two female legends.

“There are parallels sometimes,” he said. “They are so similar in their talents, their creativity and their careers that it’s scary.

“They have all had problems with addiction issues and I don’t want to see her go down that path or road anymore and it’s a shame because we all know, ‘You show me who you walk with and I’ll tell you who you are’.

“You have to surround yourself with the right people places and situations to get better. Not to beat Dina up, but even other people around Lindsay. She needs to be around people who are clean and sober and on the right path.”

Michael – who claims he now has a good relationship with his daughter – also touched on Lindsay’s recent Twitter attack on Amanda Bynes who is facing a number of driving offences of her own.

Surprisingly he didn’t take his daughter’s side and instead insists she should be helping others, not putting them down.

“I think Karma does exist and I don’t think a pot should call the kettle black. Lindsay is my daughter but I don’t see any good in knocking someone else. I think if anything she should be more proactive and positive about these things and try to help people out.”

Lindsay was arrested for leaving the scene of a crime in New York early Wednesday morning when she allegedly hit chef, Jose Rodriguez with her car.

Lindsay Lohan‘s mystery caller might have been identified.

TMZ reports that associates of troubled actress Lohan—who’s recently been receiving harassing phone calls and text messages while undergoing rehab treatment at the Betty Ford Center—believe that the person behind the calls is none other than Osama “Sam” Lutfi, the self-styled former manager of Britney Spears who glommed onto the singer while she was experiencing her own troubles.

Lutfi—who was slapped with a permanent restraining order last year after Spears’ father/conservator, Jamie, characterized him as “dangerous” and a “predator” during court proceedings—has reportedly been in close contact with LiLo’s father, Michael Lohan. In at least one of the messages in question, Lindsay is warned to stay away from her mother, Dina Lohan—who shares a less-than-ideal relationship with her ex-husband Michael.

For his part, Lutfi denies the new allegations, claiming that Lohan’s reps also used to rep Spears, and it’s all a big plot against him.

Meanwhile, the texts and phone calls have become so problematic that Lindsay—who’s scheduled to remain at Betty Ford until January 3—has been moved to a more secure location of the facility.

Despite earlier reports, Lindsay Lohan managed to have a family reunion for Thanksgiving after all. Of sorts.

TMZ reports that the troubled actress received a day pass from the Betty Ford Center—where she’s currently undergoing rehab treatment—in order to spend Turkey Day with her father Michael Lohan, with whom she recently reconnected after a prolonged period of estrangement.

The mother and father were reportedly joined for the Los Angeles feast by a number of Lindsay’s friends. The actress was picked up from Betty Ford by her assistant, Eleonore Lieven, to make the two-hour drive from Palm Springs, California, to Los Angeles.

Michael Lohan was on the warpath last night outside House of the Blues in West Hollywood, this time slamming the director of Linda Lovelace bio-pic Inferno Matthew Wilder. Lindsay Lohan’s father claims Wilder was lying when he said he had fired Lilo from the lead role in the film.  

Celebuzz talked to Michael at the event to set the record straight, and he tells us “Lindsay left Inferno. Wilder can go shove it up his butt. She didn’t want to do that movie. He’s full of it. He was trying to ride our coattails.”

Lohan’s highly-anticipated starring role in Inferno had been in limbo after failing two drug tests and stints in jail and rehab, which caused shooting to be delayed. Last week, Wilder finally announced Malin Akerman would replace her, and claimed Lindsay was fired.

“She doesn’t need to do a movie like that,” Michael Lohan told Celebuzz. “Give me a break. Great thing to do for a girl that’s going through recovery. Put her in a position to act in a position where she’s a drug addict. Real genius, and he cares, right? Come on. Biggest hypocrite on the planet.”

Then Michael threatened, “If he wants to say he fired my daughter or let her go, let him say it to my face.”
