With the series finale of Gossip Girl, comes the end of one of TV’s most stylish shows since Sex and the City.

Blake Lively (aka Serena van der Woodsen) and Leighton Meester (Blair Waldorf) filled the stylish shoes Carrie Bradshaw left behind.

More than just a show about love and friendship in NYC, the novel-turned-TV-series also centered around fashion, introduced us to new designers and inspired us with its characters’ glam Manhattan style.

Fashion notables like Tory Burch, Cynthia Rowley and Rachel Zoe were among some of the series’ big guest stars, and fashion played a central role in the lives of many of the show’s stars, including Jenny Humphrey (played by Taylor Momsen) and Blair. Even the narrator of the show, the “Gossip Girl” blogger (voiced by Kristen Bell), touched on the pivotal role bloggers began to play in mainstream fashion when the CW series first began in 2007.

Like SATC, there was something for every kind of fashionista: From Serena’s downtown designer duds to Blair’s uptown preppy polish and Georgia Sparks’ (played by Michelle Trachtenberg) edgy-glam style, each episode offered an array of sartorial eye candy. And like Carrie’s flower brooch, curly mane, and name necklace, the privileged characters of Gossip Girlhad their own signature style symbols, such as Serena’s long boho waves, Blair’s headbands, and Jenny’s eye liner.

But it wasn’t just the ladies whose fashion has inspired us. The men’s fashion was as diverse as it was stylish, with the always-dapper Chuck Bass (Ed Westwick) and his signature J.Press scarf, along with sleek Nate Archibald (Chace Crawford) and hipster Dan Humphrey (Penn Bagdley).

As Gossip Girl’s characters grew over the past six seasons, so did their style, and the final season has proven to be its most fashionable one yet.

While the genius behind the show’s stylish characters, Eric Daman will be dressing TV’s next big style star, young Carrie Bradshaw in the Carrie Diaries, we’ll miss Gossip Girl‘s stylish socialites.

So as we prepare to say goodbye to Gossip Girl – and it’s weekly dose of designer duds — we’re counting down the final season’s most stylish moments.

One Direction is taking the stage on the U.S. version of The X Factor for a special performance. The group, which found fame on the U.K. version of the show, will sing, “Live While We’re Young” and “Little Things,” on Thursday’s live results show at 8 PM EST/ tape delayed PST. [FOX]

Gossip Girl and Buffy alum Michelle Trachtenberg will guest star on CBS’ Criminal Minds next year. Given her most recent role as the crazy Georgina on Gossip Girl, the actress should do a killer job in this role. Trachtenberg will play a stalker who loses her mind when she isn’t offered a job. She will appear in early 2013 on Episode 12. [EW]

NBC’s The Voice will also feature two special performances on Thursday’s live elimination show. Coach Adam Levine and his band, Maroon 5, will perform their brand new single, “Daylight.”  Adding to the event, Jermiane Paul, the Season 2 Champ of The Voice, will also debut his single, “I Believe In This Life.” The Voice airs live on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday this week at 8 PM EST/tape delayed PST. ABC’s Once Upon a Time is on a roll with another tick up in the ratings this week. The show, which has seen ratings rise for the past three weeks, was the only Sunday series to climb in numbers with 10.1 million viewers. Meanwhile fellow freshman ABC drama, 666 Park Avenue hit a new low with only 4.1 million viewers. NBC’s Sunday Night Football led the pack with 18.6 million viewers. [TV Guide]

A new special on TLC, Extreme Cougar Wives, is giving us a peek into the lives of three woman, age 50 and up who like to date young. Taking the saying, “age is only a number” to the limit, the show will follow the women and their beaus (all in their 20s) as they engage in relationships. Extreme Cougar Wives airs on Sunday, Nov. 25 at 10 PM. [TLC]

Aisha Tyler is heading to FOX’s Glee. The actress and The Talk co-host will play newbie Jake ‘s (Jacob Artist) mom on the show. Though there is no word on when the episode will air, the actress is shooting her guest role now. [TVLine]

Fans of football and HBO’s Hard Knocks series should be happy about this news. The Travel Channel, NFL Films and RIVR Media have teamed up for a new series, NFL Road Tested: The Cleveland Browns. The series will provide an unprecedented look into how a team travels on the road during the season. Viewers will also get a look into how the Browns prepare for each game. NFL Road Tested: The Cleveland Browns premieres on The Travel Channel on Tuesday, Dec. 4 at 10 PM. [Travel Channel]

The drummer of Coldplay, Will Champion, is set to guest on Season 3 of HBO’s Game of Thrones. Champion will play a drummer on the hit show.  He is the second of two musicians to be cast. Last summer, Snow Patrol lead singer Gary Lightbody was also cast in a cameo role. Game of Thrones’ third season premieres March 31, 2013. [EW]

Another award show has come and gone and the celebs are making their way back to their jobs and hometowns.

In today’s installment of Celeb Snaps, we see Hollywood’s elite flying home from the Emmy Awards, getting back to their routines, and getting right back to work.

What celebs were out and about this weekend?

Tina Fey, 42, took the first flight out of Los Angeles, Calif. after the Emmy Awards Sunday evening. The 30 Rock star looked like she was far more comfortable in her airport attire than her beautiful Emmy gown.

While on the East Coast, the cast of Gossip Girl was busier than ever. Stars Michelle Trachtenberg, 26, and Kelly Rutherford, 43, were spotted rehearsing their lines on their NYC set.

Meanwhile, former castmember Taylor Momsen, 19, was spotted at the Tokyo International Airport in Japan where she is currently on tour with her band, The Pretty Reckless.

Hollywood moms Jennifer Garner and Gwen Stefani were on opposite sides of the world despite both being Southern California girls. Garner, 40, was running errands and looking gorgeously bare-faced in Brentwood, Calif. while Stefani, 42, was promoting her album, Push and Shove, with the rest of her No Doubt bandmates in Paris.

Pink, peach, cobalt, and aqua — oh my.

Summer is all about the brights: neon nails, popsicles, dip-dyed hair, and of course, colored pants.

Call Me Maybe singer Carly Rae Jepsen was spotted at LAX airport in Los Angeles, Calif. on June 18 donning a zebra-printed sheer blouse, pink skinny pants and a matching pink pout.

The 26-year-old brunette accented her outfit with a thin black belt and fancy sandals — looking super adorable as she smiled and waved for the photogs.

Who else loves their colored skinnies?

Gossip Girl star Michelle Trachtenberg roamed around New York City on July 25 in hot cobalt pants.

These definitely spruced up her neutral attire consisting of a white top, camel cardigan, nude color-blocked flats, and plastic sunnies.

Cameron Diaz looked city chic in her peach pants that she paired with a loose white top, fitted khaki blazer, and strappy sandals.

The Charlie’s Angels blondie may be on the same fashion page as Fantastic Four‘s Jessica Alba who also wore a blazer atop her colored skinnies.

Alba covered her white top and aqua pants with a loose red blazer, as she strolled around LA in snow colored peep-toe flats.

Jepsen and Cameron opted towards dressier looks, as Trachtenberg and Alba looked lovely on the more casual side.

Yet, some of these stars do have a similar theme — white blouses.

Actress Michelle Trachtenberg was spotted doing some holiday shopping for a furry friend recently. The Buffy star was seen going through some high-end merchandise at Lazybonezz, a NYC-based pet store that has become the hot spot for celebs looking to spoil their lucky pets with luxury goodies.!

Trachtenberg recently made headlines after revealing she nearly landed the role of Bella Swan in Twilight – but was unable to do so for scheduling reasons.

We can never imagine Twilight without our girl Kristen Stewart, but Michelle Trachtenberg told Us Weekly the role was almost hers but “schedules never worked out.”

“There was definitely interest here and there because there’s only so few pale girls in Hollywood,” she explained. “I’ve known [director] Catherine Hardwicke since the movie Thirteen. I was actually supposed to star in that, but I was on Buffy at the time.”

Because of her hit TV show, Michelle says she isn’t too upset about missing out on playing the role of Bella Swan.

“I already have Buffy,” she added. “I’ve already done the vampire thing.”

Michelle Trachtenberg seems to be breaking free of all the Gossip Girl drama she causes and will be getting her very own CW show.

Deadline Hollywood reports that Trachtenberg will portray “a young criminology student with a gift for profiling and a dark past.” It’s an idea that was created by Trachtenberg herself, and she’ll also serve as a producer on the show.

Michelle has carved out a name for herself in movies and television, thanks in part to her recent and often evil turn as Georgina Sparks on Gossip.

There’s currently no name attached to the new project … so, let’s leave it up to you, faithful readers. Leave your show name suggestions in the comments!

Michelle Trachtenberg—probably best known as Georgina Sparks on Gossip Girl—dropped in on the set of Remember Me in New York on Wednesday.

Mind you, Trachtenberg is not, as of this writing, a cast member of the romantic drama. But, of course, we all know who is: Twilight heartthrob Robert Pattinson.

Sneaky, sneaky, Michelle, dropping in for a “friendly visit” during Rob’s moment of great vulnerability.

But then, having a recurring role on Gossip Girl is kind of like earning a master’s degree in backstabbing, isn’t it?

All the big players of Young Hollywood showed up to the red carpet premiere of 17 Again at Grauman’s Chinese Theater in Hollywood, California, on Tuesday night.

Zac Efron looked like a real movie star in his slick, dark suit and side-swept hair. The heartthrob was met by hundreds of screaming fans, who showed up with hopes of catching a glimpse of the teen idol.

He told E.T, “It’s amazing. It’s a crazy feeling but I’m very excited. These are fans have been with me for a very long time so I’m glad they’re with me on this next step.”

Other stars on the red carpet included the rest of the cast, Matthew Perry, Michelle Trachtenberg, and Leslie Mann, along with Zac’s girlfriend, Vanessa Hudgens, and Disney stars Amanda Bynes, The Jonas Brothers, and Brittany Snow.

He’s cute, but cute enough to cause a girl to require medical attention?

Zac Efron premiered his new film 17 Again in London last night, and it became a mob scene of screaming London schoolgirls looking to take his pic, touch his hair and view their High School Musical obsession in person.

Fans, some with hearts and “Zac” painted on their faces, began lining up at 7AM in Leicester Square in London just to get a glimpse of their idol, according to the Daily Mail.

In fact, the girls became so frenzied that one young woman was said to have collapsed and had to be taken from the crowd by paramedics to be checked over. The vapors!

In the movie, Zac plays a younger version of Matthew Perry after he is magically turned back into a teenager and has to counsel his children through high school.

Hopefully some of the advice he imparts to her in the film includes a warning against getting so worked up over a movie star that you need an ambulance.

Gossip Girl fans haven’t seen the last of Michelle Trachtenberg.

Entertainment Weekly reports that the 23-year-old Buffy the Vampire Slayer alum and co-star of the upcoming big-screen Zac Efron vehicle 17 Again is reprising her minor role as major bitch Georgina Sparks on the second season of the CW’s hit TV series.

Trachtenberg entered the Upper East Side Gossip Girl world in a 2008 episode titled “Desperately Seeking Serena.”  She invaded the cast as a pest from Serena van der Woodsen’s past who had escaped a Utah rehab.  Her haunting return caused Serena (Blake Lively‘s character) to slip into unhealthy behaviors.

Last time GG fans saw Sparks, she was being carted off to an institution for troubled girls for a bit of attitude adjustment.

But it seems that Trachtenberg—who’s developed a reputation for off-screen cattiness with regard to her female castmates—will refuse to bow to the gods of behavior modification: A source reveals that Sparks will be flying in for a multiple-episode guest stint toward the end of season two.

Might as well get the popcorn ready now; this could get beautifully ugly…especially if you’re Serena van der Woodsen, and you’re living in some sort of denial.

Leighton Meester, of the CW’s hit show Gossip Girl, has shot to fame as one of Hollywood’s hottest young celebrities.

The 22-year-old beauty plays Blair Waldorf, the scheming New York socialite who occupies her time by sabotaging the lives of those who threaten her position as the queen bee.

While it may seem that Leighton’s character mirrors her real-life persona, with her designer brand clothing and perfectly put together appearance, the starlet’s upbringing was not quite that of an Upper East Side princess.

Leighton overcame serious odds to reach her A-list status, but here she is, sitting atop her Tinseltown throne, looking down on all the little people who only dream of a life as glamorous as hers.

Gossip Girl actress Michelle Trachtenberg was snapped at a Los Angeles hotel looking like she hasn’t seen the sun in decades.

We know being written off the CW’s Teen Choice Award-winning fashion-and-fornicating teen soap was devastating, but you’ve got to leave the house once in awhile.

Trachtenberg played psycho hussy Georgina on Girl‘s last season, but her character was shipped off to crazy skank jail and there’s no word that she’s been asked back.

Before Gossip Girl, Michelle was best known for her role as Buffy’s little sister Dawn on Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Maybe she’s trying to emulate the ghostly supernatural creatures she used to fight?

Oh, it’s so good to be bad. No one does it better than Gossip Girls, and Michelle Trachtenberg clearly knows that newbies should never be nice.

Word is, though, she may be taking her bitch-is-the-new black philosophy to heart off the clock. Page Six reports that a friend has ratted out GG’s Georgina Sparks, saying when interviewers ask her about others on the show, “Michelle deliberately leaves out any girl cast members…If you ask her about them, she just goes silent and changes the topic.”

Funny how you can say so much without uttering a word. Okay, Blake Lively and Leighton Meester, do your thing. It’s YOUR show, now stand up and be counted. Your legions are depending on you.

Remember when Britney Spears passed out at a New Year’s Eve party, not so many moons ago? Well, Michelle Trachtenberg bested the Blackout singer’s reputation for hard-partying at a recent soiree in NYC.

The porcelain-skinned actress was hosting the opening of a Sunglass Hut store in SoHo when she seemed to hit the deck at around 8 p.m.

Reportedly, Trachtenberg regained consciousness and kept on celebrating until the end of the gig nearly an hour later. The resilient party girl was also spotted at another club later in the evening.

Those Sunglass Hut people sure know how to get wild and crazy. But their shindigs are nothing compared to the sea-salt scrub and lotion people in the mall who are constantly trying to manicure the hands of passersby. They’re into some pretty kinky stuff.
