Is Michelle Williams Heading to ‘Smash’? Star Megan Hilty Weighs In (EXCLUSIVE)

On Smash, Megan Hilty and Katharine McPhee are still battling over the chance to play Marilyn Monroe, but their character could be facing another competitor — if Hilty gets her wish, anyway.

The blonde bombshell, 31, admits she’d love for her character, Ivy, to go up against My Week With Marilyn actress Michelle Williams on the hit TV show.

“She’s fantastic,” Hilty told Celebuzz at Dr. Scholl’s “Get Up & Go” event. “I don’t know if she’s a fan of the show or not … [But] I’m sure we could make room for another Marilyn if she wants to guest star.”

Although the cameo probably won’t happen, Hilty did reveal her hopes for Ivy in season 2.

Hilty reveals she’s holding out hope that her character finally gets a man.

“I want her to get a boyfriend; someone who isn’t in the business who can take care of her. I’m crossing my fingers,” she said.

As for the male prospects, Hilty doesn’t have a particular actor in mind, but joked, “I’ll be holding auditions later.”

The 29-year-old actress chose this long-sleeve lace crimson, mid-calf Michael Kors from the designers fall 2012 collection. She paired it with a camel color belt and matching tan shoes.

Jason Segel Puts Michelle Williams Pics On Phone, Text Reads ‘I Love You’ (PHOTOS)

Jason Segel is one smitten boyfriend.

The How I Met Your Mother star was spotted this past week leaving a taping of the Tonight Show With Jay Leno, but it was his smart phone that caught our eye. On the back of his phone, the actor had pasted some photo booth pics of his new girlfriend Michelle Williams. The text on the pics read: “I Love You.”

Following the award season, it was revealed that Michelle and Jason were the hot new couple in Hollywood.

This past March, Us Weekly obtained photos of Jason, 32, canoodling in Brooklyn, New York with the My Week With Marilyn beauty, 31. The man behind the new Muppets movie was even spotted playing with the actress’ daughter (who’s also the child of the late Heath Ledger) Matilda.

Earlier this year, Jason sent out a sweet tweet that he later deleted that read: “Honestly a totally hypothetical question but I’m curious. If I fell in love would you guys be happy?”

Gone Too Soon: Looking Back On Heath Ledger’s Life On What Would’ve Been His 33rd Birthday (PHOTOS)

It’s hard to believe that it’s already been four years since the world lost one of the acting greats. Heath Ledger passed away on January 22, 2008 after his housekeeper found him unconscious in his bed. The actor was 28.

Today, April 4, Heath would be 33 years old. Known for his roles in A Knight’s Tale, Brokeback Mountain and Dark Knight, the actor’s legacy lives on in his movies and through his six-year-old little girl Matilda Ledger.

Heath’s ex and mother to his daughter Michelle Williams recently commented on the late star’s tragic and sudden passing.

She told GQ‘s January issue of morning the Oscar winner’s death:

“It was making me crazy. I felt like I was going crazy. It was too much — trying to deal with what had happened and trying to deal with what was at our doorstep. I just felt trapped. And it’s not just me — there’s somebody else who I’m trying to protect, and I can’t. I can’t make it stop, I can’t make it go away. Trying to find ways to explain it or shield her from it. It’s like you’re trying to go about your life, and make dinner…but the roof is off of your house, and the walls are falling down.”

In 2009, Heath won an Academy Award for his role as the Joker in Dark Knight, a part some speculate caused him to gain insomnia and possible drug use. “This award tonight …. validated Heath’s quiet determination to be truly accepted accepted by you all here, his peers, in an industry that he so loved,” Ledger’s father, Kim, said, accepting the Oscar on his son’s behalf with Ledger’s mother, Sally Bell, and the actor’s sister, Kate Ledger. “We have been truly overwhelmed by the honor and respect bestowed on him with this award,” Sally Bell said.

Forget Sarah Marshall, Jason Segel‘s got a new girl!

Us Weekly obtained new photos of the How I Met Your Mother star, 32, canoodling in Brooklyn, New York with Oscar nominee Michelle Williams, 31. The man behind the new Muppets movie was even spotted playing with the actress’ daughter (who’s also the child of the late Heath Ledger) Matilda.

A source for the magazine reports that the two were seen this past week having a New York romance, dining at Frankie’s Spuntino and looking “smitten and very serious.”

“He put his arm around her and made her laugh as they walked,” an onlooker told Us. “They looked very relaxed.” So how did these two get together?

It’s not known yet, but the two were on a lot of red carpets this awards season for their films My Week With Marilyn and The Muppets. Also, Michelle’s best friend Busy Philipps starred in Freaks and Geeks with Jason back in the day.

Love the Look! Michelle Williams Is Pretty in Pink in Tokyo (PHOTOS)

Though Oscar season is long over (whew!), Michelle Williams still had a bit of press to do for My Week With Marilyn in Tokyo, Japan, on Wednesday, where she donned one of her best looks to date!

The three-time (!) Oscar-nominated actress arrived for the press conference in a stunning pink dress by Valentino, which she paired with nude heels by Giuseppe Zanotti. We really do love this look!

Michelle, who said on this year’s SAG red carpet that she wants to be a mom to daughter Matilda for awhile, has two movies upcoming, including Take This Waltz, opposite Seth Rogen, and the highly anticipated Wizard of Oz prequel, Oz: The Great and Powerful, in which she plays – who else? – Glinda. James Franco and Mila Kunis co-star.

Michelle Williams was seen taking her 7-year-old daughter (whose father is the late Heath Ledger) to a play date in Studio City, Calif. on Monday morning, just one night after she attended the 2012 Academy Awards as a nominee. Matilda was all smiles as Michelle doted on her like the loving mother she is.

Mom first, actress second — and we love that about her!

This casual look Michelle was sporting is deftly different than the glamorous Louis Vuitton gown she was sporting on Sunday, but she still managed to look cute and casual!

Is it just us, or does Michelle Williams look straight out of the 1960s? (In a good way of course!)

The My Week With Marilyn actress was seen outside the Ed Sullivan theater in NYC on Wednesday, as she taped an episode for Late Night With David Letterman. Rocking her signature pixie cut, she was looking very spring-y in this printed, floral mini.

While we think this is a cute look, we’re not sure if she should be wearing it in the dead of winter. What do you guys think?

Michelle Williams Ravishes in Red Gown at 2012 SAG Awards (PHOTOS)

Michelle Williams really upped the ante at Sunday night’s 2012 SAG Awards. The nominee was a lady in red, and gained a lot more attention from the fashion critics as opposed to her gown at the 2012 Golden Globe Awards.

The My Week With Marilyn star also hinted while chatting with E! that she may be taking a break from acting. When asked what’s next for her acting-wise, she answered, “nothing.” Michelle added that she’s looking to take some time off and play mother to her daughter Matilda.

Hello Michelle Williams! If My Week With Marilyn didn’t get tongues wagging when Williams portrayed Marilyn Monroe, her unbelievably sexy photo spread with GQ magazine is sure to turn some heads.

The actress — who took home a Golden Globe Award on Sunday — opened up to GQ about her days coming up in Hollywood as the sexy character on Dawson’s Creek.

“I wouldn’t say that that would be one of my first qualities as a human being—being sexy. And I think because my character on Dawson’s Creek was sexy…sexualized…sexual…I saw all the negative attention and connotations that can come along with that. And that those things can keep people from seeing you clearly.”

Perhaps coming up the way she did helped her land the role of Monroe?

As some may recall, Michelle had a relationship with Heath Ledger and is the mother of his child Matilda. She opened up about her attraction to the late Dark Knight star, telling GQ candidly:

“There’s an answer that I know, but I don’t want to say. … Our initial meeting, the circumstances of how we first met, were cosmic or something. Yeah, a lot of things happened at once. … It’s a bit like: We had a lot of things to do, because we didn’t have a lot of time, or something.”

Though we’re in the year 2012, you’d never guess it by looking at some of the fashions at tonight’s Golden Globe Awards.

Indeed, some of tonight’s A-list beauties went for more of a retro ’60s look as they made their way down the red carpet.

Among the highlights: Zooey Deschanel, who donned a custom dress by none other than Prada; nominee Michelle Williams, who looked stunning in a leopard-printed dress by Jason Wu; and Michelle’s real-life best friend, Busy Philipps, who made us all miss Cougar Town in a white dress by Antonio Berardi.
