The 24-year-old dreamboat said that he envies X Factor and American Idol meanie Simon Cowell for getting paid to be nasty to people all day:

It would be one of the best things ever to get paid for handing out Simon Cowell-style insults for the day. I wouldn’t want to be one of the nice guys, I’d want to be like Simon – otherwise it’s no fun.

RPattz later said that he didn’t thinks that Simon is simply “painfully honest” which is what makes him “so good.” Who knew Rob was a fan of tough criticism?

At the very least, maybe the folks at American Idol have found a good replacement for Simon.

The 20-year-old actress told Stylist magazine that while she didn’t have a big career plan set in her mind when she accepted the major role of Bella, she did feel compelled to sign on for the vampire flick:

It’s hard to define exactly why I choose projects, and it’s not like I had this brilliant foresight that Twilight would be big. I can only do something I feel like I have to. There’s not really a whole lot of choice, but at the same time, I don’t have some grand scheme.

Meanwhile, KStew tells the magazine that she also feels compelled to be an actress because she has a lot of “pent-up energy:”

It would be very frustrating [to not be an actress]. I’m not good at anything else. I’m bad with my hands. I can’t make stuff. Acting is so self-indulgent and self-reflective and we just think about people and how they deal with one another. That’s probably what I’d continue to do! I’d be the over-analytical girl who writes.

Maybe Kristen’s feeling of kinship with writers has to do with why she took up a role in On the Road, which is based on Jack Kerouac‘s beat novel.

After denying their off-screen relationship for the past two years, the Twilight power couple finally confirmed that they are in fact dating when they were snapped by photographers totally making out on August 15 (see all the juicy pics here!).

A team of Hollywood pros (which includes agents, managers, and film directors) declare that the 18-year-old Taylor has a better chance of surviving in Hollywood once Twilight wraps.

Where does the 24-year-old Rob fall behind? He is reportedly “too broody” and stars in too many independent films. The expert crew thinks artistic fulfillment stands in the way of achieving Hollywood hunk status.

It’s true that RPattz prefers starring in dramas as opposed to action films: The British hunk just wrapped up filming on Water for Elephants this summer while Taylor is prepping for a starring role in the action-packed Stretch Armstrong movie.

An unnamed director says that Taylor’s “universal appeal” allows him to win these big-budget action roles:

Work-wise, Taylor has much more universal appeal than Rob. With his, strong, muscular frame, Taylor can go for a lot more roles that are needed in Hollywood, while Robert will be much more at home in the independent world. Taylor will definitely be more bankable when it comes to big-budget (and thus bigger earning) movies.

Another count against Rob? He reportedly doesn’t get naked enough to satisfy the masses:

Pattinson doesn’t take his shirt off enough. I think Taylor adds a few more layers to things that make him more marketable – he’s the next Tom Cruise!

The Biebs accepted his award via satellite from a concert in Charlotte, N.C., where towering pal Shaquille O’Neal popped up with a surfboard for the new Male Breakout Artist.

“I want to thank my fans for being amazing,” said Biebs into his trademark headset-microphone.

Back at the ceremony in Universal City, Calif., Twilight won a whopping 12 Teen Choice Awards, including Choice Fantasy Movie (“New Moon,”) Choice Liplock for Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson and Choice Fantasy Actor for Taylor Lautner.

“This is what this night is all about,” said a gothed-up Katy. “Vampires!”

Katy – who will release her “Teenage Dream” video today – opened the show with a smoke-filled performance of the new single. Check it out here:

Without spoiling too much of the Teen Choice Awards airing tonight on Fox (but taped last night in Universal City, Calif.,) Celebuzz can tell you that “Twilight” stars Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner dominated the teen-voted honors where surfboards stand in for statues.

R-Patz, K-Stew and T-Laut all won acting honors for roles in various films – including “The Twilight Saga: New Moon,” “Eclipse” and “Remember Me” (spoiler: that was Pattinson.) Though Stewart wasn’t there to walk the blue carpet, R-Patz and his on-screen nemesis T-Laut were there to clean up, along with Ashley Greene and Kellan Lutz.

Selena Gomez cemented her status as Queen of the Teens with four honors, including – spoiler alert! – Red Carpet Fashion Icon. But based on her gorgeous Little White Dress, you already knew that.

The Biebs also won big on the music side of the rocking ceremony. Though the Bieber was not physically in California, he still accepted his surfboards via satellite – and performed “U Smile” from a tour stop in Charlotte, N.C.

TCA host Katy Perry opened the show with a performance of her new single, “Teenage Dream” and, with help from the Glee cast, costume-changed her way through the token high school cliques like geek, goth and prom queen,

In other notable moments – prepare to watch Sandra Bullock and Betty White get down to Lil Jon’s “Get Low” on tonight’s broadcast.

The 18-year-old hunk recently signed on for Stretch Armstrong the movie adaptation of the iconic toy’s life story. Unfortunately, being able to stretch your limbs to great length isn’t exactly as bad ass as being able to turn into a werewolf. Taylor complains to MTV News (via Starpulse):

It’s, like, the worst superhero power, possibly, to get, and how you’re going to take that and use it for good. The awesome thing with toys is it doesn’t give you a story line, so you get to create it. The development process for this movie has been awesome and it’s going to continue to be. I just can’t wait to see a script… I just want to see it.

Sure, Stretch Armstrong might not be the sexiest of the superheroes out there but we bet with Taylor playing him the toy will get a boost in coolness.

The lovable cast of the Jersey Shore decided to get in on this whole Twilight craze by giving the series a dash of Jersey glamour for Jimmy Kimmel Live.

The Situation was cast as Edward (although we think the casting director missed an opportunity to match his abs with Taylor Lautner‘s perfect six-pack), Pauly D plays Jacob, and petite guidette Snooki plays a juicehead-crazy Bella.

The other Jersey Shore cast members also try their hand at acting by filling out other roles, but the real stars of this hilarious short are Snooki and The Situation. These two fist-pumping guidos give Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson a real run for their money when it comes to portraying a vampire-human relationship.

The short, titled “Friggin’ Twilight” aired on Wednesday night as part of Jimmy Kimmel Live‘s massive Eclipse special.

Rosenberg, the screenwriter responsible for penning the scripts for The Twilight Saga, delivered an odd moment of candor in a recent interview, admitting that the movies she penned aren’t anything particularly special:

“Is it high art? No. But it’s not trying to be.”

So why does Rosenberg spend so much time and effort on something she considers to be dreck? Apparently, an unceasing hopefulness that, somehow, the Twilight series will develop into something beyond the utter mediocrity that he currently believes it to be:

“The key to success is delusional optimism. Some people call it resilience. You’re lying there bleeding on the ground and you basically have to say, ‘Maybe tomorrow will be better.’”

Rosenberg, many will recall, is currently weighing whether to include the infamous birth scene in the upcoming Twilight sequel Breaking Dawn. Maybe if she’d go for it and put a little edge in her scripts, she might not feel so ho-hum about the results.

The 18-year-old six-packed star reveals in the July issue of GQ that although he partly became famous thanks to his shirtless appearance in New Moon, he is careful about when and where he will take of his top:

Originally I was supposed to take off my shirt. The script [of Valentine’s Day] said we were walking into school and Willy takes off his shirt. I said, ‘Whoa, whoa, whoa. Time out. He’s gonna take off his shirt in the middle of school? No, no, no. The reason I took off my shirt for New Moon is because it’s written in the book that way. And there’s reasons behind it.

While we can’t help but be a little upset that Taylor isn’t constantly walking around shirtless in every role he takes, we admire Taylor sticking to his guns and realizing that hunkiness is about quality, not quantity. Besides, we’ll always have the images of Taylor shirtless floating around in our dreams for all of eternity.

Taylor is reportedly one of the few stars who publicly admits that they regret going topless for a film. Considering that his Adonis chest and abs pretty much launched him to fame, we don’t understand why Taylor would regret stripping down for Twilight.

From Starpulse:

If I had to choose, I would never take my shirt off again in a movie.

Now, calm down girls: remember that even if Taylor never appears topless on screen again, you will always have the memories of his previous ab-tastic moments to remember him for.

We just hope that Taylor reconsiders his no-topless stance.

The nominees for this year’s ceremony—airing Sunday, June 6 at 9 p.m. ET on MTV—have been announced, offering some surprises among its generally predictable list. In the Best Movie category, comedy The Hangover will face off against fantastical fare such as Alice in Wonderland, Avatar, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and The Twilight Saga: New Moon. The Best Male Performance will find New Moon stud Robert Pattinson competing against his co-star Taylor Lautner.

The Best Kiss category, meanwhile, offers an interesting conundrum for Stewart: She’s nominated twice, for her spit-swapping session with Pattinson in New Moon and her make-out scene with Dakota Fanning in The Runaways.

Jamie Campbell Bower and Bonnie Wright have reportedly announced their engagement to their co-stars on the set of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, despite the fact that  the two lovebirds have been seeing each other for less than six months, and only went public with their relationship at this February’s Bafta Awards. 

According to a source, cast members were stunned when the pair came forward with news of their betrothal:

“We are all absolutely shocked and surprised and can’t believe that Jamie has asked Bonnie to marry him.”

Wright, who plays Ginny Weasley in the incredibly popular Harry Potter film series, and Bower, who portrays Volturi vampire clan member Caius in the Twilight sequel New Moon, reportedly fell hard for each other while filming the two-part Harry Potter finale Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. (Bower portrays dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald in the series finale.) Someone must have cast a pretty powerful love spell between takes.

No word on a date for the upcoming nuptials.
