Backstreet Boy Nick Carter is coming ton 90210 in a guest spot, EW reports, in which he will play himself.

He’ll make a “surprise” appearance on May 8 when Naomi (played by AnnaLynne McCord) throws a bachelorette party. Nick is invited “because the bride had a crush on him since junior high school,” according to the report. 

We’d totally die if he performs a BSB classic. 

It was recently reported that Nick was planning to take a long hiatus following the death of his sister, aspiring songstress Leslie Carter. A source spilled to TMZ that the former Backstreet Boy member plans to finish up his remaining two tour dates before breaking to focus on his family life.

Recently, Nick made headline news when it was discovered that the singer did not attend his sister’s funeral in New York City. In an official statement, Nick explained his situation:

“I wanted to be at my sister’s funeral, but my family has always had a complicated dynamic. I love my family. I want to thank everyone for all of their compassion and support that I have received during this most difficult time. There are so many emotions for me surrounding the loss of my sister. I am trying to stay healthy, positive and focused.”

Leslie Carter passed away on January 31 from an apparent overdose of prescription pills. According to People, her funeral was attended by family members including Nick’s younger brother Aaron. She leaves behind her widow Mike Ashton and her newborn daughter.

Guinevere–whose debut video Celebuzz premiered last fall–is a “dark pop” princess with an eclectic sense of style. Last week, the “Crazy, Crazy” singer kicked off her tour with Backstreet Boy Nick Carter. On her stop at New York City’s Irving Plaza, Celebuzz chatted with the 21-year-old performer about her first musical memory, favorite fashion designer, and dream collaborations.

First of all, what was it like to work with Nick?

Donning a leather outfit and dark blue feathers, Guinevere gushed about her experience working with the ’90′s boy band member, saying:

” After my first show, he was like ‘ya know, great job.’ I was like ‘oh my gosh, a Backstreet Boy just said that to me!’”

Her stage persona Guinevere is drawn from a deep passion for Arthurian legend and love of music from an early age. In first grade, she entered a talent competition and covered Beach Boys’ “Surfer Girl.” Way cool!

Recently, a brand new season of American Idol hit the air waves. Needless to say, when asked about her desire to ever audition for the show, she expressed her need for creative control. “I really like having all the creative control as an artist. It’s a big risk taking it in this direction. I get to pick the single I want to release. I wouldn’t have it any other way,” she confessed.

As a fashion-forward rocker–with strong futuristic influence from Star Trek– she digs Alexander McQueen and draws inspiration for her shows from pop diva’s Beyonce and Gwen Stefani. On dream collaborations, the “Liar” songstress didn’t mention Beyonce, but noted that she would love to work with Robert Plant and Led Zepplin. Well then, she has our vote!

“It was a celebration of who she was and how much she was loved by everyone,” a guest told People. “There was a lot of crying but there was laughter too – there was joy in the stories people told.”

One guest that was notably absent was Leslie’s brother Nick, who is currently on tour in the United States. Over the weekend, the former Backstreet Boys member held a concert and hosted an after-party at Harrah’s Resort in Atlantic City. Although he didn’t make it to Leslie’s funeral, Nick did release a statement explaining his absence.

“I wanted to be at my sister’s funeral, but my family has always had a complicated dynamic,” Nick said. “I love my family. I want to thank everyone for all of their compassion and support that I have received during this most difficult time. There are so many emotions for me surrounding the loss of my sister. I am trying to stay healthy, positive and focused.”

During a recent concert, Nick had also dedicated a song to his late sibling.

“I wanted to be at my sister’s funeral, but my family has always had a complicated dynamic,” Nick said in a statement.

The former Backstreet Boy is currently on tour, which conflicted with the service. Over the weekend he held a concert and hosted an after-party at Harrah’s Resort in Atlantic City, which forced him to miss Leslie’s funeral.

“I love my family. I want to thank everyone for all of their compassion and support that I have received during this most difficult time,” he added. “There are so many emotions for me surrounding the loss of my sister. I am trying to stay healthy, positive and focused.”

Leslie passed away last week from a suspected drug overdose. She was 25. Her memorial was held during a small ceremony in Upstate New York. 

“I’ve never done this before and I never thought I’d ever have to, but I’d like to dedicate this song to my sister,” Nick said to the crowd.

Girls in the audience held up pink paper hearts in memory of Leslie and Nick acknowledged the female fans’ thoughtfulness during his set. Why did Nick decide the show must go on in wake of Leslie’s passing?

“Performing is cathartic to me and I am dedicating the rest of my tour to my sister since she loved to watch me perform,” a rep for Nick said in a statement on Wednesday.

The toxicology test on Leslie will take weeks to come back but the incident report has indicated that Leslie was under the influence of many prescription drugs at the time of her death.

The report lists three specific drugs found near her: Olanzapine, Cyclobenzaprine and Alprazolam. Olanzapine is used to treat symptoms of bipolar disorder, while the two others are a muscle relaxant and anti-anxiety meds.

Her stepmother Ginger Carter told police that Leslie had “a long history of mental illness and was on medication for her depression,” the report states. 

Ginger also detailed Leslie’s final hours, saying she’d seemed depressed. The morning of her death, she had fallen in the show, so her step-mom says she helped her into bed. After several checkups, she says later that afternoon she found Leslie wasn’t breathing and called 911.  Her husband tried to perform CPR. 

The police report notes that Ginger admitted she had also taken some pills. ”Ginger had slurred speech, pin point pupils, glassy eyes and kept falling asleep.” She said she’d taken “five to six pills for her depression,” possibly Xanax, and took more than her usual dose of four “because of Leslie passing away.”

A toxicology report is currently underway to determine the official cause of death. The family is currently preparing for Leslie’s funeral. 

It is also being reported that Leslie was visiting her father in Chautauqua County, New York, when she died.

Next, they will have to do a toxicology scan to determine what caused her untimely passing. Typically, it can take four to six weeks for results to come back. 

Earlier today, Nick released a statement to Celebuzz saying he is “thankful to the many people and the fans who have shared their wishes and prayers during this tragic time.” He added that he is dedicating his his tour to his sister’s memory. 

“Nick Carter is thankful to the many people and the fans who have shared their wishes and prayers during this tragic time,” Carter’s rep Jack Ketsoyan says in a statement to Celebuzz. “We want to let the fans know the tour will go on as promised.”

Adds Nick:

“Performing is cathartic to me and I am dedicating the rest of my tour to my sister since she loved to watch me perform.”

“We ask the press to respect Nick’s privacy during his time of grief,” ends Nick’s rep.

Sources tell Celebuzz the family is “still in shock” and doesn’t yet know the cause of death. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Carters during this difficult time.

“Our family is grieving right now and it’s a private matter. We are deeply saddened for the loss of our beloved sister, daughter, and granddaughter, Leslie Carter,” the family said in a statement to Access Hollywood on Tuesday night. “We request the utmost privacy during this difficult time.”

It was reported that she died in upstate New York. No more details surrounding the circumstances of her death were given.

Like her famous brothers, Leslie was a singer. Her song “Like, Wow!” was on the Shrek soundtrack in 2001, when she was said to be working on an album.

She leaves behind a daughter, Alyssa Jane Ashton, who was born this past April.

CB: Hey Nick! You have been all over the place, where are you calling us from?
Nick: Japan! Man it’s amazing over here. 

Are the fans different over there? Have you had any crazy interactions yet?
They are similar in some senses. They are a little bit quieter during my shows – that’s just how they are. You can hear a pin drop because they’re really paying attention. You have to perfect yourself because you’re under pressure.

How has the tour been?
It’s great. We had about three gigs in Canada. I’ll be doing four more shows here and then in late January [starting on the 28th] to the 14th of February I’ll be playing shows in the states. The reception has been great, it’s been going really well.

Tell us about the remix album that you’re releasing
I’m actually touring off of the first album. The remix album is out today. I’m doing some old Backstreet Boys songs and some from my first solo record. We’ve created a really cool show.

And you’ve just come off a huge summer tour with New Kids on the Block and Backstreet Boys. What was it like being back together with your band mates?
We’ve been together and moving on and doing tours. The NKOTBSB Tour put us back in the spotlight, but we had three albums out and three world tours before we did the NKOTBSB Tour. To be together was great.

You’ve all grown up together. Is it more a mature tour now or do you still find some time to get in a bit of trouble?
We’re able to mix it up now and do the right things but at the same time have some fun now and then while we’re on the road. Recently it’s been all business – staying in the gym and taking care of yourself. That’s different! Gotta work out a little bit harder now to stay in shape. We have to do what it takes to keep going.

You have the Backstreet Boys cruise coming up, right?
Yeah, it’s happening in December. We’re going out for three days. It’s going to be a big party with three shows for our fans on that cruise and it’s probably the closest you’ll get to us. P. Diddy does his white party and we’ll have three versions of our own. One is an 80′s hairband night and another is a pajama party night so it’ll be so much fun.

I’m assuming it’s mostly girls, right?
There are a lot of girls but guys would be stupid not to go on the cruise if you’re a dude, because there are so many girls!

You toured a little bit with Matthew Morrison. Would you ever want to do Glee?
We’ve thought about it. If they want to do something with that, it’d be great. I think we have enough hits and memorable music out there.

Would you want to be on the show or just lend your songs to have the cast perform them?
If they want to perform them themselves then that’d be cool.

You have been pretty nonstop for the last year. How do you unwind?
Sometimes I play video games and sometimes I just go out and get a good dinner. Here in Japan I’ll go sightseeing. Sometimes I’ll go out to a club. It all depends.

Celebuzz has been excited about this for months, so we were thrilled when we got the chance to chat with Nick Carter about what to expect from the tour, his upcoming solo album (out May 25) and much more!

How excited are you for the upcoming tour?
It’s something so extraordinary. We were just at the practice facility yesterday and the stage is so large. It’s about 50 yards long, it’s crazy. When we do the choreography and run-through, we realize how big this is going to be.

What have you been doing to prepare for the tour?
I’ve been doing vocal rehearsals. We’ve all been coached. We’re also getting a lot of rest and have switched over to a vegetarian diet. I’m trying to get my brain clear and ready for everything that’s to come.

You were just over in Europe promoting your solo record. How would you describe the sound of it?
The sound is an extension of the Backstreet Boys. It’s related to a certain degree, but it has something that also is only me. It’s a good, positive, pop album with heart and soul. It shows what I contribute to the band.

What’s the thing you are most excited for overall with the tour?
There are so many things happening at once on this tour. While doing everything with the Backstreet Boys, I was able to put my own record out around the same time. They’re both exciting. It might be a bit more work, but it couldn’t be a better time for it.

How did you all end up joining forces for the tour?
We did a show in NYC with them. They invited us to surprise the fans. We started talking and felt that joining together would be so fun. Both groups have achieved so much in our careers. This makes us happy and entertains us at the same time.

How did Matthew Morrison end up coming on board?
He wanted to come on the tour with us and we all thought it was a great match. It’s a big, exciting event. We’re all pulling a lot of things together.

Which song are you looking forward to performing the most?
With the new choreography that we have right now, “The Call” is amazing. I’m excited for it all. It’s a lot of fun.

You obviously have a lot of stuff going on, so what do you do to keep yourself balanced?
Last night I downloaded a meditation book. I like to relax and meditate. I think they’re important because I have so much going on, and if I don’t find peace within it all, it could be dangerous for your health. I also switched over to the vegetarian diet.

If you can go back to when you first started Backstreet Boys and give yourself one piece of advice, what would that be?
Nothing. I say this because I love where we’re at. Everything that got us to this point is satisfactory.

What advice would you give to anyone trying to make it in the music industry right now?
Make sure to enjoy it. You have to love it. I don’t really like giving advice to people. Practice and rehearse, but do what you do and really experience it and enjoy the whole journey.

The two groups shared the stage with mash-ups of their biggest hits to prepare rabid NKOTB and BSB fans for their sure-to-be-dreamy joint tour together next summer.

The two bands performed a medley of NKOTB’s “Step by Step” and “You’ve Got It (The Right Stuff)” with BSB’s “Everybody (Backstreet’s Back),” “I Want It That Way” and “Larger Than Life.”
