Talk about a coincidence.

Bobbi Kristina Brown and Nick Gordon were both listening to the same Whitney Houston song — “I Look To You” – when they were involved in separate car incidents on the same day, both are telling family and friends.

“A Whitney Houston song came on the radio and Nick said he just went into panic mode and his foot just went down on the accelerator,” Nick’s grandmother, Maxine Gordon, told Celebuzz.

Likewise, Maxine said, “Bobbi Kristina had been listening to ‘I Look To You’ when she was driving.”

The daughter of the late diva, 19, was cited by police in a suburb of Atlanta after her car veered off the road, down an embankment and hit a few trees before finally coming to a stop.

Miraculously, Bobbi Kristina was uninjured.

Gordon, 23, was arrested for reckless driving and speeding after he was clocked driving at 82 mph in a 35 mph residential zone on the Northpoint Parkway on Wednesday night.

According to TMZ, Gordon has been charged with reckless driving.

But “he wasn’t driving reckless,” his grandmother vowed.

Hours before, a good Samaritan called 911 after they spotted Bobbi Kristina standing in an embankment beside her own totaled her Chevrolet Camaro near the Georgia home that she currently shares with Gordon, her “adopted” brother and costar of their reality show, The Houstons: On Our Own.

She tweeted on about the incident saying that her “personal guardian angel” was looking over her and that she was unharmed.

According to reports, Bobbi Kristina broke up with her fiancé Gordon before their crashes.

The publicly affectionate couple never officially confirmed their engagement, but a series of tweets from the two sibling-lovers have insinuated that the relationship is over.

“They’re going to do something to help themselves now and seek some help,” Maxine added.

The grandmother said she believes that the controversial young couple are still struggling to come to terms with famous singer Houston’s unexpected death, at age 48, in Los Angeles at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Feb. 11.

“They’re still emotional and both really miss Whitney and love her very much,” she said.

“Sometimes you need to hit a cement wall (in life). I mean, he could have killed somebody. Nick is a kind person, but he’s lost and so is Bobbi Kristina.

“When Whitney was here, they were good for each other. But now they’re not… He felt that love for her and she leaned on him for comfort. I guess that’s the way the cookie crumbles sometimes.”

Two separate car incidents in one day led to one arrest for on-again, off-again couple Bobbi Kristina Brown and boyfriend Nick Gordon.

Just hours after Whitney Houston’s 19-year-old daughter totaled her car in just outside Atlanta, Georgia, her beau was arrested after a high-speed chase of his own when police put him in handcuffs and charged him with reckless driving and speeding for going a whopping 82 mph in a 35 mph zone.

“Due to the speed of the vehicle it took some distance to discover where he was going and to get him stopped,” Alpharetta Police Department PIO George Gordon told Celebuzz. “It was dangerous.”

According to a police statement, the arresting officer used a laser speed detection device on the North Point Parkway where Nick’s gray Chevrolet Camaro was traveling in the affluent, heavily populated corridor of medium to high end retail stores, malls and numerous dining venues.

George added that Nick — who was informally adopted by Houston — was cooperative and gave police no reason for his speeding, but added “there is no belief that alcohol or drugs were a contributing factor.”

The controversial couple got engaged earlier this year, which has been documented in Lifetime’s latest reality show, The Houstons: On Our Own.

“The danger lies in the fact this is a high vehicular and pedestrian traffic area. In a situation such as this, the department has a duty to take reasonable enforcement action to protect the public,” according to the police statement.

Bobbi Kristina also lost control of her car yesterday while leaving her apartment complex in Alpharetta. According to reports, she drove over a curb, through several trees and into an embankment where she crashed. Luckily, she walked away uninjured.

These latest incidents come after the pair were both involved in a crash in Nick’s Camaro near their Georgia home on Sept. 26 when Bobbi Kristina was a passenger.

Nick was released on bail from North Fulton Alpharetta jail and is expected in court Feb. 12.

Whitney Houston‘s daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown is not done with her traffic problems just yet.

Just hours she had totaled her Chevy Camaro in Alpharetta, Georgia Wednesday, her boyfriend and “adopted brother” Nick Gordon was arrested for reckless driving — going 82 in a 35-mile-per-hour zone.

According to TMZ, Gordon was pulled over while driving down Northpoint Parkway, a retail area with high pedestrian foot traffic.

“We are fortunate because that’s such a busy corridor with high end retail shopping retaurants and pedestrains at crosswalks,” a law enforcement officer said.

“At that speed, it’s absolutely reckless.”

Gordon’s arrest comes hot on the heels of news that Brown crashed her car into an embankment outside her apartment complex on the same day.

Upon arriving at the crash, officers found that Brown sustained no major injuries and was not under the influence of any drugs or alcohol at the time of the crash. However, the authorities did issue Brown a traffic citation for “failure to maintain lane.”

Recently, Brown, 19, and Gordon, 22, confirmed that they had called off their engagement.

“@REALbkBrown and I are not engaged or dating. Just close like we have always been,” Gordon, 22, wrote on his Twitter Nov. 18.

On Monday, Brown cryptically tweeted about being off “on her own,” writing, ”I’m leaving , this this good ole town and driving to the send of the world . Maybe it’s beautiful there (: Xxxo … Who do I trust in this world? Pfft well that’s easy beezie, #Myself, No1 will kno’s me like ME&They’d rather not take thtchance2knoME, &2me.”

“That’s incredibly fine .. Because you’d be missing out on a #REALperson Xxo #armyofme #onmywon #goingtomakeit#determined,” she added. “I guess it’s time 4me2stop depending on anymore. It’s my time2follow what Mom&The Lord put out on this path for me. #Thankful. Mom xxo.”

The couple had announced their engagement in a promo for their reality TV series, The Houstons: On Our Own.

Bobbi Kristina Brown is getting emotional support from one of her late mother’s famous friends: Tyler Perry.

According to Maxine Gordon, grandmother of Bobbi Kristina’s fiance, Nick Gordon, the famed director has been looking out for the 19-year-old since her mother Whitney Houston died tragically in February.

“Tyler is there for her,” Maxine told Celebuzz exclusively. “Tyler promised Whitney he’d watch out for her and take care of her. I think he is a fatherly mentor for her, and he loves her.”

Will Tyler make an appearance on Bobbi Kristina’s much-hyped new reality show?

While the 19-year-old recently starred in Perry’s sitcom For Better or Worse, it’s doubtful the director will be on Lifetime’s The Houstons: On Our Own. Maxine, however, was invited to participate in the show — but refused.

“I was asked to be in a reality show, and so was Bobbi’s grandmother Cissy,” she revealed. “We both didn’t want to do it. I wish they wouldn’t do it [either]. It only creates problems.”

Case in point: the 2005 reality show Being Bobby Brown, which starred Whitney and her then-husband (and Bobbi Kristina’s father) Bobby Brown. Said Maxine of the show: “All he did was insult her, and it showed their demons.”

Despite her concerns about the television venture, Maxine approves of her grandson’s decision to walk down the aisle with Bobbi Kristina, telling Celebuzz: “We are supportive and we’re not going to abandon them.”

But she still believes Gordon — who informally adopted by Whitney when he was 12 — should wait a few years before tying the knot.

“They are too young to get married,” Maxine said. “He’s 23 and is a man, but he’s still young and her too. Bobbi Kristina needs to go to school. I know Nick is trying to encourage her, but she has her own mind.”

The Houstons: On Our Own will focus on how Bobbi Kristina has moved on since her mother was found lifeless in a bathtub at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. Perry, meanwhile, is set to release his new film, Alex Cross, on October 19.

The daughter of legendary pop star Whitney Houston is too young to get married, according to the woman who could soon be Bobbi Kristina Brown‘s grandmother-in-law.

In a promo clip for Lifetime’s upcoming reality show The Houstons: On Our Own released last week, 19-year-old Bobbi Kristina announced she was engaged to Nick Gordon, who her mother informally adopted when he was 12.

The shock move didn’t go down well with her aunt, Patricia Houston, who labelled it “unacceptable.”

Gordon’s family is supportive of the union, however.

“We are supportive and we’re not going to abandon them,” Gordon’s grandmother, Maxine, told Celebuzz in an exclusive interview.

“They think there’s no reason to keep it hidden and they want it out there… she wants to stay with him for the rest of her life. He is very protective of her and he promised Whitney he’d take care of her.”

Still, Maxine said the ring of wedding bells is too much, too soon.

“They are too young to get married. He’s 23 and is a man, but he’s still young and her too,” she added. “Bobbi Kristina needs to go to school. I know Nick is trying to encourage her. But she has her own mind.”

The Lifetime show will focus on how Bobbi Kristina — Houston’s daughter with singer Bobby Brown — has coped since Houston was found face down in a water-filled bathtub with drug paraphernalia near by on Feb. 11 at a Beverly Hills, Calif., hotel.

The Los Angeles County coroner concluded she died of an accidental drowning.

Maxine said The Bodyguard star would have been pleased with the engagement if she was still alive, “because she’s known Nicky since he was 17. She would be happy.”

When Bobbi Kristina and Nick do get married, Maxine said she expects it will be a televised event.

She added, “If there’s a wedding, it’s going to be elaborate and big. But I wish they would have a nice, quiet ceremony.”

The Houstons: On Our Own premieres October 24 at 9 p.m. ET.

The daughter of the late Whitney Houston has been seen wearing a sapphire and diamond bauble since August, and it looks awfully similar to Kate Middleton’s 18-carat sapphire and diamond engagement sparkler, which previously belonged to the late Princess Diana.

The controversial couple’s engagement will be documented in Lifetime’s latest reality show, The Houstons: On Our Own,  which will show how Houston’s loved ones have tried to move on since her passing.

In E!’s exclusive clip from the series premiere, Brown, 19, excitedly announces her engagement to her entire family. However, not everyone is thrilled about the news.

Gordon, 22, — who Houston informally adopted at a young age — and Brown will be at the center of the Houston family’s reality TV drama.

Gary Houston, Whitney’ brother, has previously stated his disapproval of their relationship, as he is seen having a heated discussion with Gordon in a previously released clip from the upcoming reality series.

“No one knew that from a godson you would turn into a boyfriend,” he says. “No one knew that.”

That’s the question on everyone’s mind as the 19-year-old daughter of the late Whitney Houston continued to flaunt her eyebrow-raising relationship this week, posting a photo of her and Gordon, 22, sharing a passionate smooch.

Earlier that day, Brown posted a snapshot of the pair — who got matching dove tattoos in honor of Houston last Wednesday — embracing. “& still through those trials&tribulations the devil kept on trying to break them& soon realized… He couldn’t,” she tweeted.

And now, after addressing questions in Celebuzz‘s #AskJane video feature, HLN host Jane Velez-Mitchell says, “they have obviously bonded over their shared grief over Whitney Houston’s death.”

But has that bond gone too far?

“They said at first, ‘We’re just grieving together,’” said Velez-Mitchell. “Obviously, one thing led to another.”

Brown is not technically related to Gordon, Velez-Mitchell notes. But her late mother informally adopted Gordon at a young age after his parents were unable to take care for him. Gordon has been living in the Houston home ever since.

“So Bobbi Kristina has known him since they were tweens, you might say,” explained Velez-Mitchell. “But he is not officially her adopted brother.”

When it to comes to the growing concern surrounding their alleged romance, the HLN host says the issue boils down to one sticking point: “The key here is what is Nick Gordon’s intention,” she reasoned.

“Is he with her because they really bonded emotionally over this grief? Because they became close through trauma? Which often happens,” she continued. “Or, the fact that he was left out of the will, is he interested in Bobbi Kristina because she could very well become a very, very wealthy young woman?”

“That’s really the key. What is his intention in this relationship? And we’re going to have to wait and see on that.”

Whitney Houston’s surviving daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown has flown to Mexico for an Easter weekend vacation with her “adopted brother” and reported boyfriend Nick Gordon, it’s being reported. 

Joining Bobbi, 19, and Nick, 22, on the trip are Whitney Houston’s brother Gary and sister-in-law, Pat, according to Forbes.

The holiday comes less than 24 hours after a final Los Angeles County coroner’s report was handed down.

It described how the singer, 48, was discovered submerged face-down in a water-filled bathtub of her Beverly Hills hotel suite, with drug paraphernalia near by. 

Despite a denial that the late pop star’s only child is engaged to Nick — who Houston took in when he was 12 years old and raised him and Bobbi Kristina as “brother and sister” — the pair are dating, a source close to the pair told Celebuzz.
