Before hopping on a flight back to Los Angeles, mom-to-be Vanessa Lachey was seen indulging in an ice-cream cone before heading to the airport with her (equally sweet) hubby Nick. 

However, a baby may not be the only thing on Nick’s mind these days!

According to Rumor Fix  Nick and his fellow 98 Degreees band members, Drew Lachey, Jeff Timmons and Justin Jeffre, are preparing for a reunion tour which will take place in 15 cities between July and August of this year.

Celebuzz even spoke with Backstreet Boy member Howie D, who says he’s thrilled about the “I Do (Cherish You)” boy band hitting the road again. He told us exclusively:

“I think it’s really cool that 98 degrees is getting back together. We had such a successful NKOTBSB tour this past summer, and I hope the same for them. I’ll definitely be there.”

While co-hosting on Live! With Kelly, the former 98 Degrees singer revealed that his wife Vanessa Minnillo is indeed pregnant. Nick gushed:

“So she went to the store, got a pregnancy test, and it came back positive. So we are having a baby!”

The expectant dad added, “I’ve had a chance to do a lot of great things in my career and my life but this is the one thing that, more than any other, I look forward to. The fact that it’s actually here, it’s overwhelming.”

As for the sex of the baby, Nick admitted, “We definitely want to know. I can’t take the knowledge that someone out there knows, but I don’t know. It’s like watching a sports game on TiVo.”

Nick and Vanessa wed this past year, and are said to welcome their first child end of summer or early fall. 

Vanessa Minnillo has decided to make the switch and take on Nick Lachey‘s last name on Twitter. Vanessa made it official last night in a special tweet:

Mrs. Lachey, who met Nick in 2006 after appearing in his music video, wed the singer in July 2011. The couple had the ceremony filmed by TLC and aired the special day in a show titled, Nick & Vanessa’s Dream Wedding.

While there’s nothing cooking in the oven, so to speak, Nick says the day might not be too far off.

“I’m doing everything I can,” he told E!’s Marc Malkin. “Trust me, it would make me happy. Family is very important. It’s very important to us. I’m sure that will be around the corner.”

The Sing Off host added that the married life is treating them well, saying, ”It’s great. Obviously we’re still in the honeymoon period. Not much changed, which, for me, is a good thing. We’ve been together five years. We were very comfortable in our relationship before the marriage.”

The two married on July 15 and honeymooned in St. Barts.

After five years of dating, Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo finally tied the knot. The couple wed on July 15 in an ultra private ceremony. Since the two have gained supporters from their previous television shows, they know their fan base is too large to ignore sharing such a special moment in their lives!

The newlyweds teamed up with TLC to allow fans a front row seat at their wedding ceremony. “Nick and Vanessa’s Dream Wedding” will air Saturday, July 30 from 9-11pm on TLC. The special will capture the excitement and anticipation as the lovebirds plan their ceremony with their family and friends.  

In this exclusive television event, viewers are invited along to the actual wedding to help celebrate as the couple becomes husband and wife. Check out the sneak-peek to get a glimpse of the couple discussing their wedding vows and plans for their honeymoon. Ohh la la!! 

Vanessa was dressed in a gray tank top and a flowing maxi skirt, while Nick had on a pair of khaki shorts, a V-neck shirt and baseball cap. The newlyweds walked through LAX hand in hand while Nick talked on his phone.

Vanessa Minnillo and Nick Lachey were wed in a super secret in tropical island ceremony, People reports. The two reportedly flew guests to the location without telling them where they were going. “Nobody knew where they were going,” Vanessa told the mag.

“For us, this is just a stepping stone to do what we ultimately want and that’s to start a family together,” the newlywed added.

Her new hubby played up the mystery as well, saying, “Our wedding invitations were in the form of a plane ticket. We told them they were going away and the attire was ‘island chic.’ It was all very vague.”

People reports Vanessa wore a two-piece outfit by Monique Lhuillier, which featured a lace corset with a silk skirt and a long “chapel length” veil. for his part, the groom looked dapper in Dolce & Gabanna.

The party started on Friday evening, as Nick and his buddies headed to TAO nightclub, where Nick was presented with a custom ball and chain cake with the inscription “Property of Vanessa.” The next day, the celebration continued at TAO Beach.

Nick and his friends gathered in a cabana for the pool party and were surprised when a  “mini Vanessa” arrived at the stag party to deliver a large bottle of Veuve Clicquot. After Vanessa was serenaded by a “mini Nick Lachey” at her LAVO bachelorette party, she insisted that her soon-to-be-husband have the same experience.

Although this will mark Nick’s second trip down the aisle, his brother Drew is excited for Vanessa to officially join the family and has no doubt that Nick and Vanessa will start a family soon.

“He spoils my kids and sees them every chance he gets. He is Isabella’s god father and is a great uncle,” Drew gushed to Celebuzz last month. “I have no doubt that Nick will make a great dad one day.”

Trulia is featuring the beautiful four bedroom and four and a half bath home once owned by Heidi Klum, Seal and their brood of four. When Nick moved in, he added his own spin to the abode, transforming it into the perfect bachelor pad by adding a pool and entertainment area.

Listing agent Mauricio Umansky (husband of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards) of Hilton & Hyland calls the house, “One of the top 10 view properties in L.A,” as it features a 360-degree view of the city. The asking price for the magnificent home is $5,995,000.

Although the couple has kept tight lipped about when the wedding will be, we recently saw soon-to-be newlywed Vanessa Minnillo celebrating her bachelorette party at Lavo in Las Vegas.

“It won’t be over-the-top, but Nick is nervous about what we have in store,” Drew coyly told Celebuzz at the Pampers “First Father’s Day Cook-Out” held at Stage 37 in New York City.

“We are a little bit older and wiser now, so I don’t think Nick feels any need to do a crazy bachelor party again. As long as we get our core group of guys together and have fun, that’s all he wants,” he added. 

Lachey, the former husband of actress/singer Jessica Simpson, and Minnillo began dating in 2006 and announced their engagement back in November.

Although this will mark Nick’s second trip down the aisle, Drew is excited for Vanessa to officially join the family. “They make each other very happy, and that’s all anybody could ever hope for. As his brother, I’m glad he’s finally with someone who makes him happy — and Vanessa truly does.”

]]> Who exactly is Eric Johnson, the man who just made Jessica Simpson his fiancee?

Originally from Needham, Massachusetts, 31-year-old Eric has had a brief but interesting football career.

Eric attended Yale where he played wide receiver on the football team and became well-known on the field when he made the game-winning touchdown catch in the 1999 Yale-Harvard game.

Eric went on to be drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in 2001. Unfortunately, Eric’s promising career hit a few speed bumps when he was forced to miss the 2003 and 2005 seasons due to injuries.

After five years on the 49ers, Eric went on to sign a one-year contract with the New Orleans Saints in 2007. He was released from the Saints in 2008 just five months after re-singing with the team.

Eric and Jessica met in May, just four months after he filed for divorce from his wife of five years, Keri. The two quickly began a whirlwind romance which included a romantic trip to Italy to celebrate Jessica’s 30th birthday.

Shortly after meeting Jessica, Eric ditched plans to attend the prestigious Wharton Business School in Pennsylvania. Critics claimed that Eric dropped out for Jessica but a friend of the ex-NFL player told People that it “wasn’t true.”

Jessica and Eric announced their engagement over the weekend. The engagement news raised eyebrows since it came just ten days after Jessica’s ex-husband, Nick Lachey, announced his engagement to his longtime girlfriend, Vanessa Minnillo.

The engagement also came as a surprise since Jessica and Eric have only been dating for five months.

Jessica and Nick divorced in 2006 after just four years of marriage. The pair famously documented their marriage on the hit MTV reality show, The Newlyweds.

Perhaps the couple’s past relationships have helped them learn what they want in their partners. In August, Jessica gushed to People about her relationship with Eric, saying that their “easy” relationship made her “very, very happy.”

Aside from Nick, Jessica has dated Tony Romo and musician John Mayer.

Jess debuted her diamond-and-ruby rock during an in-store appearance. According to People, the ring is designed by jeweler-to-the-stars Neil Lane. Simpson’s rep confirmed the big news on Sunday that Jessica is affianced to her ex-pro football beau of about six months.

UsMagazine.com is reporting first reported that 30-year-old songbird Simpson is indeed engaged according to their sources. Minutes later, Simpson’s rep confirmed the news to In Touch, stating that Jessica and Eric “are thrilled” about it.

Us reported that Jessica also “flashed a sizable ring on her left hand during an appearance at Dillard’s at Oak Park Mall in Kansas City.”

It was just last week that news broke of the engagement between Lachey and Minnillo, who have been dating since 2007. Lachey and Simpson ended their marriage in 2005 after three years and one reality show.

Simpson and Johnson have been dating for about five months, beginning their relationship over the summer. In August, Simpson made somewhat of an official announcement of their couple-dom by posting a cute kissing photo on Twitter.

“I couldn’t be more happy for Nick. Our relationship was over a really long time ago so it would be nice if everybody could move on with us and just celebrate the love between him and Vanessa,” Jess said on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show on Thursday. “I wish them nothing but the best.”

Fans of Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica will recall the couple’s fairytale 2002 wedding and subsequent 2005 divorce. Even as Nick connected with Vanessa and Jessica dated famous dudes like John Mayer and Tony Romo, the tabloids persisted with reports that Jessica and Nick weren’t over each other.

Jessica denied all that to Seacrest, saying: “I am extremely extremely happy for him.”

“I don’t know where all those rumors came from. My mom actually called me and told me that everybody was saying I was saddened,” Jessica said. “I was just in complete shock.”

Jessica is so over Nick, she’s even spending the holidays with new beau Eric Johnson, telling Seacrest that Johnson’s “family be with us on the float at the Macy’s Day parade.”

The former boy-bander and the True Beauty host announced today that they are engaged to be married. In a joint statement to Us Magazine, Lachey, 36, and Minnillo, 29, revealed,

“We’re excited and incredibly happy about our engagement and we look forward to a wonderful future together.”

Lachey, the former husband of actress/singer Jessica Simpson, and Minnillo began dating in 2006. After a brief break-up last summer, the couple resumed their romance a few months later.

A source close to the couple says of the engagement, 

“They’re so happy, doing great. Thrilled about it.”

Minnillo told Parade Magazine that what keeps her close to boyfriend of four years, Nick Lachey, is taking a shower together — more than once a day.

“We shower, honestly, at least twice a day. We both have our shower heads so we just talk while we’re soaping up and doing our hair. It’s not a sexual thing and it’s not a romantic thing, it just becomes an intimate thing.”

Aside from having “intimate” conversations while lathering up, Minnillo said sometimes she gets serenaded. 

“When he’s preparing for a show or a singing appearance, it’s the best because the steam helps relax your vocal chords. It’s kind of cute. It’s become a routine.”
