More days should kick off with movie news about Nicolas Cage.

The Ghost Rider himself is teaming up with Rocky Balboa for a new action movie… Can you guess which one?

1. Stallone Confirms Nicolas Cage for ‘Expendables 3’

The internet had a minor stroke Monday when one of its favorite things, Nicolas Cage, joined the cast of The Expendables 3.

Expendables 2 star Sylvester Stallone confirmed the news via his Facebook page, adding that “We are preparing the film with the same passion and commitment as the previous two.”

Stallone also expressed on Facebook that he hopes to add Wesley Snipes and long-shot Harrison Ford to the roster. The sequel is currently looking for a writer and director.

2. Is Matthew Vaughn In Talks To Direct ‘Star Wars: Episode VII’?

Matthew Vaughn recently vacated the director’s chair on X-Men: Days of Future Past and Collider.com believes they know why.

On Monday, the site reported that Vaughn most likely left the X-Men sequel because he is in talks to helm Star Wars: Episode VII. While Collider was unable to 100% confirm Vaughn’s involvement, the site insists that the news comes from a trusted source.

Until Disney and Lucasfilm release a statement, consider this to be just a rumor.

3. Advanced Tickets for ‘The Hobbit’ On Sale Wednesday

Fans of The Hobbit have to wait until December 14 to see the first film in the new trilogy, but they don’t have to wait nearly as long to buy their tickets.

Advance tickets for director Peter Jackson’s reunion tour with Middle Earth go on sale Wednesday, November 7. Warner Bros released the news via press release on November 5.

4. Hollywood Wants a Sequel to  ‘Casablanca’

Warner Bros. might be circling a sequel to the 1949 classic, Casablanca.

Return to Casablanca will take place 20 years after the events of the first film, reported The New York Post on Monday. The Post ran a feature detailing the complex development of the sequel, which spans decades.

The studio is interested in the project only if they can find the right director and star.

5. New International Trailer for Steven Spielberg’s ‘Lincoln’

Just in time for the Electoral College Thunderdome, Monday saw the release of a new trailer for Steven Spielberg’s Lincoln.

Have you bought your lotto ticket yet?

The Mega Millions jackpot is up to a record-breaking $640 million, and it’s anybody’s game! Though we won’t know the winning numbers until later this evening, Celebuzz thought we’d take a look back at some of the best TV and movie moments that featured people (like us) hoping to win big.

So, what are some of our favorites that come to mind?

First one for us would be Lost! Though we didn’t know it at the time, when Hurley won the lottery, the winning numbers “4, 8, 15, 16, 23, 42″ would play a huge role in the rest of the mysterious series. Watch the video above.

Full House
On an episode of Full House, the gang tries to make Uncle Joey think that he won the lottery by putting an old video in the VCR (remember those?!) and trying to convince him that he had some winning lotto ticket numbers. Well, it looks like the joke ends up being on them! Check out the video here.

It Could Happen to You
In the 1994 flick, It Could Happen to You,Nicolas Cage plays a cop who can’t tip his waitress at a local diner, so promises he will split his lotto earnings with her if he wins. Turns out, he ends up winning – $4 million to be exact! His greedy wife (Rosie Perez) doesn’t want to share it with the waitress (Bridget Fonda), and the cop and his wife end up splitting. But the cop and the waitress end up with the best prize of all — love!

Lottery Ticket
Bow Wow and a number of others starred in the 2010 film, Lottery Ticket, about, “Kevin Carson is a young man living in the projects who has to survive a three-day weekend after his opportunistic neighbors find out he’s holding a winning lottery ticket worth $370 million.”

Windfall
In 2006, Luke Perry starred in a short-lived series called Windfall that dealt with the downsides of winning the lotto among a group of 20 friends who decide to split the money.

Friends
Joey, Chandler, Monica, Ross, Rachel and Phoebe got into a lot of shenenigans over their 10 years of Friends-hip, but perhaps one of the biggest tests for this tight-knit group? The lotto of course! In a episode that aired in 2003, “When everyone except Ross pools together to buy tickets for the lottery, Phoebe gets a prediction from her psychic that they will win. Early Edition
Before Kyle Chandler took on the role of Coach Taylor in Friday Night Lights, he played Gary Hobson on Early Edition from 1996 to 2000. For some unknown reason, Gary received newspapers a day early, and had 24 hours to “set things right.” One of the first time he realized what was happening to him was when he played winning lotto numbers.

How I Met Your Mother

This famous actor has been through multiple films… and multiple wives. Underneath his quirky charm, however, lurks a really evil twin. One who likes to take everything to extreme. While he’s not known for any actual violence toward his loved ones, he does like to talk about some very disturbing acts, including rape, kidnapping, torture, S&M, dismemberment, etc. In fact, he wants to produce a real snuff film in which people are actually injured and killed during the making of the film. He’ll have to face reality, though. His out-of-control spending prohibits his financing anything, and he’s going to have to keep working for a long time simply to pay the bills. (Blind Gossip)

Yuck, this guy sounds like a real weirdo. But the only actor with multiple wives and a reputation for overspending that we can think of is Nicolas Cage. Let’s hope he never makes enough money to finance a snuff film.

Awkward for most people, but not for this actress. Do you remember last year in Cannes when this B list television and sometime movie actress was doing coke and playing sex games with several people? Well, our actress has moved on, even if her career has progressed straight down. She and her new celebrity boyfriend, who is very familiar with our actresses’ kinky sexual proclivities which involve lots and lots of S&M are in Cannes together this year. Anyway, the couple ran into one of the guys our actress shared drugs and sex with last year. Blonde hero Nicolas Cage wouldn’t be the Teflon movie star if he didn’t have his mind on preparing for the future so it comes as no surprise that Nic was recently spotted tomb-shopping in New Orleans for his final resting place.

Being something of a god himself, Nic decided that his tomb should be like that of the ancient gods and settled on a giant white pyramid-shaped tomb. We wouldn’t have expected anything less for Nic.

Is it any coincidence that a pyramid-symbol played an important part in Nic’s National Treasure film franchise? Of course not, and we wouldn’t be surprised if Nic had his body wrapped in copies of the U.S. Constitution as he was laid to rest. It just makes sense.

Nicolas Cage is an actor of many talents but perhaps his greatest talent he has is adapting to different looks and styles both on and off the screen. What other fortysomething actor do you know who could go long and blonde in the blink of an eye?

If you ever need a loan, Johnny Depp might not be a bad person to hit up.

The Daily Express reports that the Pirates of the Caribbean actor is reaching out big-time to fellow actor Nicolas Cage, who’s in serious financial trouble thanks to a multimillion-dollar tax bill.

Apparently, Depp feels indebted to Cage, who put him in contact with his agent, which led to Depp’s first film role in A Nightmare on Elm Street. And now the Sweeney Todd actor is willing to do “whatever it takes” to return the favor.

A friend of the actor’s reveals,

“Johnny called Nic and basically told him not to worry and he’d help him and sort everything out. Johnny feels he owes his career to Nic and now wants to repay him—if Nic agrees…Johnny has never forgotten what Nic did for him.”

Of course, with the amount of money that Depp is pulling in these days, he could probably find whatever Cage will need between his couch cushions, but still, you have to admit—it’s a pretty nice gesture.

The Green Hornet is going to happen!

According to Variety, Columbia Pictures is in early talks with Nicolas Cage to play the gangster villain in The Green Hornet.

The movie, which is due out next summer, stars Seth Rogen as the masked crime-fighter. Cameron Diaz is already in negotations to play a reporter and love interest for Rogen, something that did not exist in the original TV series.

The film looked like it was in some trouble last week, when actor Stephen Chow left the movie. He was supposed to be playing the role of sidekick Kato (a role originated by Bruce Lee).

Everyone knows Megan Fox has said some outlandish things over the past few months while promoting her new flick Transformers 2: Revenge Of The Fallen, which is absolutely crushing the competition at the box office this summer.

And one quote in particular has upset the movie’s director, Michael Bay.

Fox told Entertainment Weekly, “I mean, I can’t sh*t on this movie because it did give me a career and open all these doors for me. But I don’t want to blow smoke up people’s *ss. People are well aware that this is not a movie about acting.”

Now, Bay has a thing or two to say back to the 23-year-old actress. He told the Wall Street Journal: “Well, that’s Megan Fox for you. She says some very ridiculous things because she’s 23 years old and she still has a lot of growing to do. You roll your eyes when you see statements like that and think, ‘Okay Megan, you can do whatever you want. I got it.’”

He adds, “Nick Cage wasn’t a big actor when I cast him, nor was Ben Affleck before I put him in Armageddon. Shia LaBeouf wasn’t a big movie star before he did Transformers— and then he exploded. Not to mention Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, from Bad Boys.”

Bay goes on, “Nobody in the world knew about Megan Fox until I found her and put her in Transformers,” he says. “I like to think that I’ve had some luck in building actors’ careers with my films.”

Burn! Not good to bite the hand that feeds, Meg.

Nicolas Cage is ready to get evil.

The 45-year-old actor, whose latest flick Knowing proved a surprise hit at the box office this month, tells MTV that he’d jump at the chance to play a baddie in Christopher Nolan‘s Batman movie franchise.

“I would love to play a supervillain. I think that would be a whole lot of fun,” Cage enthuses. “Yeah. If they call and invite me, I’d do it. Certainly.”

Cage’s interest in comics-related movies is long-standing. He was slated to portray the Man of Steel in the shelved Superman Lives, and starred in the title character of 2007′s Ghost Rider, which failed to ignite much interest in the movie-going public. His latest comic-themed movie, Kick-Ass, is scheduled for release this year.

The competition for villain roles in upcoming Batman films is pretty fierce. So far, Angelina Jolie, Philip Seymour Hoffman and Johnny Depp have been mentioned as contenders, in the roles of Catwoman, the Penguin and the Riddler, respectively.
