Paramount has unveiled the newest trailer for Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues.

Since the start of production, director Adam McKay and producer Judd Apatow have remained mum on the movie’s plot. So no, the new teaser does not have any clips from the film.

For now, fans can enjoy the precious 60-plus seconds of Ron Burgundy and company being compared to the “great ones” (Jesus, Jay-Z) and how they always return with perfect hair.

Anchorman 2, starring Will Ferrell, Paul Rudd, Steve Carrell, David Koechner, opens nationwide Dec. 20.

You haven’t changed a bit either, Burgundy.

Another day, another set of famous faces spotted on the Anchorman: The Legend Continues set. This time it’s Kirsten Dunst and Jim Carrey.

The film, which will reunite original Anchorman stars Will Ferrell, Paul Rudd, Steve Carell, Christina Applegate and David Koechner, has been filming a fight scene all week in Atlanta’s Woodruff Park. A nod to the famous fight scene in the first movie, this fight will apparently feature cameos from every single actor in Hollywood. Already this week Amy Poehler, Tina Fey, Sacha Baron Cohen and Kanye West have been spotted on set — all dressed as news anchors. It appears that Carrey will also appear as a newscaster, while Dunst looks to be playing an angel who appears on a rooftop nearby.

Yesterday’s shoot was a mini-reunion for Dunst and Carrey, who co-starred in Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind together.

Also set to star in the highly anticipated sequel are John C. Reilly, Nicole Kidman, James Marsden, Kristen Wiig, Harrison Ford, Will Smith and Liam Neeson. The sheer mass of cameos in Anchorman 2 make it like Hollywood’s version of a high school reunion, reuniting cast members from Mean Girls, Walk Hard, Saturday Night Live, 30 Rock and K-19: The Widowmaker.

Last September, Koechner told Celebuzz exclusively that the movie’s premise centers around the advent of the 24-hour cable news network. The film is expected to hit theaters this December.

Ahead of this month’s release of The Hangover Part III, The Hollywood Reporter today published an oral history of the wildly successful franchise. Among those interviewed include the stars Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms and Zach Galifianakis as well as producer/director Todd Phillips. The story contains several gems — including one about Heather Graham having to film a Hangover spoof for her agent’s son’s bar mitzvah, yikes — but nothing is quite as interesting as reading about how this surprise hit came together.

Given that neither Cooper nor Galifianakis were major stars when the first movie came out, it’s not really a surprise that they weren’t the first picks to play Alan and Phil. But what if it was Jake Gyllenhaal who was responsible for the group’s unremembered misadventures? Here’s who could have been in the Wolf Pack:

Phil Wenneck: According to The Hollywood Reporter, both Jack Black and Paul Rudd passed on the role of the booze-swilling teacher. There were also “others” who passed before the role eventually went to Bradley Cooper. Cooper recounts he got the role after having met Todd Phillips at an audition for Starsky & Hutch several years earlier.

Alan Garner: This role went through several rewrites before Galifianakis was cast. Initially intended to be a younger brother of the bride-to-be, both Jonah Hill and Jake Gyllenhaal were considered. After he was re-imagined as an older brother, Thomas Haden Church almost got the role.

Perhaps it’s because most people weren’t familiar with any of the stars before The Hangover, but it’s hard to imagine anyone else playing the infamous Wolf Pack.

The story also reports that the first Hangover movie earned Phillips nearly $70 million, so we know who’s buying drinks after the third and final movie’s premiere.

Unless you’re that nice bottle of red wine I have sitting in my cupboard, the idea of getting older probably isn’t something you want to think about.

The ageless Paul Rudd’s next big screen appearance will be in the world of indie, starring in Prince Avalanche with Emile Hirsch.

This week, director David Gordon Green (The Sitter, Pineapple Express) and Magnolia Pictures unveiled the film’s very first trailer, months after delighting audiences at the Sundance Film Festival and the Berlin International Film Festival.

Prince Avalanche is Green’s remake of the 2011 Icelandic comedy Either Way, directed by Hafsteinn Gunnar Sigurðsson. Rudd and Hirsch play Alvin and Lance, respectively — two dudes who work as road workers in Texas during the summer of 1988.

Prince Avalanche opens Aug. 9.

So, Paul Rudd is turning 44 years old — not that it really matters seeing how he’s barely aged since his feature film debut in 1995.

Somehow, this actor has managed to discover the fountain of youth that every starlet in Hollywood has been vying to take a drink from.

From his role as Alicia Silverstone‘s fresh-faced step-brother/love interest in Clueless (it’s not as weird as it sounds, we swear) to his mustachioed self in Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, Rudd has seemingly defied age and time while appearing in countless films spanning over 18 years.

In fact, the New Jersey native even reunited with former co-starJennifer Aniston in 2012′s Wanderlust looking almost like he did 14 years ago when they first worked together in 1998′s The Object of My Affection.

Yep, this man’s boyish good looks never changed.

A sloth from prehistoric times won the box office this weekend, selling more movie tickets than a wizard and a Secret Service agent.

The Croods enjoyed a healthy opening weekend, grossing some $44.7 million domestically, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The latest from DreamWorks Animation, starring the voices of Ryan Reynolds, Emma Stone and Nicholas Cage, also made $63.3 million worldwide. To date, Shrek the Third remains as the champion of first weekend openers from the studio, with more than $121.6 million in ticket sales when it was released in 2007.

Gerard Butler’s action film Olympus Has Fallen grossed $30.5 million for second place, while Oz The Great and Powerfuldropped to third place with $22 million, after two consecutive weekends on top.

Newcomer Admission, starring Tina Fey and Paul Rudd, grossed a mere $6.4 million, behind Halle Berry’s The Call ($8.7 million) to round out the top five.

Spring Breakers’ expansion earned the film $5 million, bringing its grand total to $5.4 million, while Identity Thief continued to hold on with another $2.5 million.

The Jason Bateman and Melissa McCarthy comedy, which opened Feb. 8, has grossed a total of $127.7 million domestically.

With NBC’s 30 Rock wrapped, it looks like Tina Fey, whose upcoming comedy Admission opens Friday, and has The Muppets… Again! due out next year, might be kissing TV goodbye for good. But, not so fast!

Fey told reporters recently that she and writing partner, Robert Carlock, are definitely interested in doing another series at some point, only not right away.

“It was such a drain on family life — 16, 18-hour days to do a single-camera series,” she groused. “We want to try to figure out a way to do it easier,” adding with a smile, “More easily, would be how you would say it in English.”

No word on what that show might be, but if it’s anything like 30 Rock, critics and fans are in for a treat. Based loosely on Fey’s experience at SNL, 30 Rock won six Golden Globes and 10 Emmys, becoming a TV staple during its seven-season run. The final two-part episode, Hogcock/Final Lunch aired on January 31 to glowing reviews, delivering a proper send off to the show, instead of the usual slow drift toward cancellation.

“It was a very bittersweet ending, but the fact that we knew it was ending was such a great thing,” said Fey. “We were able to say to the network, ‘Can we do these last 13 and be done?’ And they were like, ‘Yeah cause your show’s fricking expensive.”

In fact, the 30 Rock crew were still hauling their stuff out of the offices, making room for Lena Dunham and the gang from HBO’s Girls, which Fey said, “Feels like good karma.”

Looking back on the series, she singled out “The Rural Juror” episode from Season 1 as a favorite. On the episode, Jenna (Jane Krakowski) has a movie coming out and is nervous about its prospects, so she asks Liz (Fey) for feedback, leading to a quarrel.

“We were having a conversation in the writers’ room and someone came out and said, ‘Y’know what word I just flat out can’t say? Rural.’” Fey and Carlock instantly arrived at the name of Jenna’s movie “The Rural Juror.”

“No one can understand it,” laughed Fey. “My movie’s coming out!’ And they can’t understand what the title of the movie is.”

With 30 Rock in her rearview mirror, Fey has two stops ahead. One definite, like The Muppets… Again! currently shooting in London, and another not so definite, Mean Girls, the Broadway musical.

“It’s something we definitely hope to do,” she said. “It takes years and years and we have to get in there and go for it.” When asked if they would consider casting Lindsay Lohan to reprise her role from the 2004 movie, Fey had no comment.

One thing she definitely won’t be doing any time soon is directing, though she’s been asked to several times.

“If there were a guild for backseat directing, I would like to join that, especially on TV where the writers can hang around and annoy the director,” Fey grinned. “People ask me, ‘Would you ever want to direct?’ No, no, I just want to annoy the director.”

It’s official: Kristen Wiig is joining the cast of the Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Bergundy sequel, Anchorman: The Legend Continues.

And we couldn’t be more excited — and either could her movie mates.

Director Adam McKay expressed his glee on Facebook on Monday (January 4), saying, “Kristen Wiig is officially on board for ‘Anchorman 2. Couldn’t be more excited.”

Christina Applegate, a.k.a  Channel Four’s co-anchor Veronica Corningstone, was equally pumped, tweeting on Tuesday:  ”So excited Kristen Wiig has joined our cast for anchorman 2. Going 2 b best movie ever made. Besides the best movies ever made.”

After months of speculation, it’s about time the SNL alum made it official, joining Will Ferrell, Paul Rudd, Applegate, and Steve Carell in the highly-anticipated Ron Burgundy follow-up.

And while it’s still not clear what her role will be, it’s been rumored that she will play the love interest to Carell’s lovable, but challenged weatherman, Brick Tamland.

While we’re sure the Bridesmaids star will have explosive chemistry with funny man Carell, we’re even more psyched that Applegate will have a female partner-in-crime to play with.

In more good news, the movie now has a release date too, it is scheduled to hit theaters in December 20, 2013. How will we ever wait? We’ll just have to stay patient — and classy.

For many of us, the main event of the Super Bowl isn’t  the game itself, but what comes between the plays — the halftime show (Beyonce and her Destiny’s Child buddies brought it), and of course the big-budget commercials.

While there were no crazy Brad Pitt-level shockers, Amy Poehler, Seth Rogen and Paul Rudd added some fun, and Willem Defoe as the devil was seductively scary. Oh, and a PJ’ed-out Rock definitely made us thirsty — anyone got any milk?

Amy wants answers. And she’s got lots of questions for the Best Buy employee who she speedily grills with important questions like, “What’s LTE, is it contagious?”  and “Are we in the Cloud?” And we’re with her –  we may not need an e-Reader to read Fifty Shades of Grey to us in a sexy voice, but Amy can read it to us any day.

Willem Dafoe, Usher, Kate Upton, Mercedes-Benz, “Soul”
Who better to play Satan than Willem Dafoe? Sorry Willem, but it’s true. Mercedes-Benz doesn’t skimp on anything in this big-budget commercial that also features cameos from a dancing Usher and sexy Kate Upton. After watching this ad a few more times, we just might be willing to sell our soul for a Mercedes — or because Willem told us to.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Got Milk? “Morning Run”
Not everyone loves milk, but The Rock may have sold a whole bunch of it with this action-packed ad — if only because it’s fun to see him running around in his jammy pants.

Psy, Wonderful Pistachios “Get Crackin’”
In the song that just won’t die, Psy does his famous dance, while singing about cracking pistachios. We hate to admit it, but we really don’t hate this song or this ad. Is that nuts?

Kaley Cuoco, Toyota Rav4, “Wish Granted”
Cuoco is perfectly silly as a wish-granting genie. Looking like Elle Woods in Legally Blonde with her little purple-clad Chihuahua, she proves that not all wishes should come true.

All hail the queen of comedy!

In recent movie history, there has been a burgeoning presence of funny girls (see Kristen Wiig, Emma Stone, etc.)  — and Leslie Mann may be responsible.

The quick-witted comedienne has notably made a name for herself as a woman among men in the world of comedic acting. But what you might not know is that she is largely responsible for her husband’s movement to create female roles in Hollywood that are as equally hilarious and complex as males.

According to director-hubby Judd Apatow, he never realized the negligence of women in funny films until his wife/muse pointed it out.

“Leslie would always say ‘There aren’t good roles for women, the female parts aren’t developed, the women are serving the men,’” the Knocked Up director said in a recent interview with ELLE magazine. “If [she] didn’t mention it, I don’t know if I ever would’ve thought about it. But once you notice it, you get ashamed.”

In Apatow’s newest film, This is 40, Mann plays a mother and wife who, while fast-approaching middle-age, reevaluates her life and marriage. In this “sort-of-sequel” to 2007’s Knocked Up, she and Paul Rudd reprise their roles as Jack and Debbie, a confused couple who both loves and wants to kill each other. It’s a comedic collaboration that is hoped to be as satisfying as the last.

But before she was running the show on her own, Mann ran in a remarkably hilarious circle.

At the start of her career, she scored roles alongside comedic icons like Jim Carrey, Jack Black, Owen Wilson, and Steve Carell.

Still, one of her most memorable early parts was playing opposite Adam Sandler in Big Daddy, a fan-favorite of the 90’s in which Sonny (Sandler) unexpectedly “adopts” a 5-year old boy (Dylan and Cole Sprouse). Mann plays Corinne, Sonny’s roommate’s girlfriend, and subsequently, Sonny’s girlfriend’s sister. The two publicly express their disapproval of one another.

In true Mann fashion, this scene shows Corinne and Sonny duking it out in the canned food aisle.

Judd Apatow’s films, including The 40-Year-Old Virgin and Knocked Up, have addressed a number of important adult benchmarks, from falling in love to having kids to dealing with success. But in This Is 40, the filmmaker pays tribute to marriage – in particular, the wives who endure (and prevail over) their mates.

“It’s a salute to all of the women who have husbands who drive them crazy,” Apatow told Celebuzz.

Apatow is notoriously honest about relationships in his films, not just chronicling many of his own experiences but even casting his wife, Leslie Mann, and daughters Maude and Iris. At the same time, he characterizes the end result as a mishmash of real-life conflicts and the aggregated drama of his friends and family’s relationships.

“It’s everything I’m thinking about, dramatized,” he said. “I’m a clock-watcher, as is Leslie. And some of it is observed from our house, but some of it is observed from our friends, and a lot of it is Paul [Rudd]’s relationship. It’s a weird morphing of what everyone’s going through.”

Critics have been fairly split on Judd Apatow’s latest comedic life-lesson, This is 40, torn between appreciating the comedy for its patented Apatow relatability while condemning the film as a somewhat plot-less collection of half-jokey arguments.

Apatow’s film feels like a cross-section of experiences pulled directly from his own home, fitting for a husband and father looking back on that very same period of his life.

Mark your calendars, Channel 4 fans — Ron Burgundy and the gang are returning to the big screen next December.

Director Adam McKay officially let the cat out of the bag early Thursday morning, making the big announcement on Twitter.

“It’s official. Anchorman 2 has a release date: December 20, 2013. Very excited,” he wrote of the much anticipated sequel.

Judd Apatow, who will serve as producer once again, also chimed in with his excitement.

“One year from tomorrow Anchorman 2 will be released in theaters. It is kind of a big deal,” he wrote.

Officially titled Anchorman: The Legend Continues, the follow up to the 2004 hit comedy will see the return of Will Ferrell, Paul Rudd, Christina Applegate, Steve Carrell and Chris Parnell.

In September, Celebuzz spoke to Champ Kind himself, David Koechner, about the premise of the sequel, which has remained top secret since news of Anchorman 2 broke.

“What I’ve been told is that the movie will be set around the advent of the 24 hour news channel,” he said.

“The director’s given me a couple of jokes that Champ is going to be purveying and some situations that he’s going to be in.”

Anchorman: The Legend Continues will begin production in March 2013.

After a series of films in which Judd Apatow examined first relationships (The 40-Year-Old Virgin), child rearing (Knocked Up), and the vagaries of grown-up success (Funny People), the filmmaker is examining advancing age, and more specifically, the challenges of keeping a marriage going, in This Is 40. And according to star Leslie Mann, it takes having that experience to truly know how to perform it on screen.

“Sometimes when I watch actresses play mothers who I know in real life aren’t mothers, I think, huh, that doesn’t seem right,” Mann told Celebuzz. “So yeah, maybe it was helpful that I’m a mother.”

Paul Rudd, who plays her on-screen spouse, said that he and Mann (and Apatow) did a lot of the work when they worked together on Knocked Up, which is where the couple’s characters first appeared.

“We spent a lot of time when we were doing Knocked Up about the dynamic that we each share with our spouse, our parents, having kids ourselves,” he revealed. “We kept that conversation going a few years later when we started this.”

The Bridesmaids star is this close to signing on for a key role opposite Will Ferrell and Steve Carell. Who will she play? Read on to find out…

The Wrap reports that Wiig is being eyed to play the love interest of Carell’s inept weatherman, Brick Tamland. In addition to Ferrell and Carell, actors Paul Rudd, Christina Applegate and David Koechner will also reprise their roles from the 2004 original.

While Ferrell and director Adam McKay are still working on the script for Anchorman: The Legend Continues, The Wrap adds that the film is set for release in October 2013. That means that production would have to start early in the new year.

David Koechner is going to have a very busy year.

On top of prepping for Anchorman 2 alongside Will Ferrell, Paul Rudd and the Channel 4 gang, Koechner will have his hands full with fantasy football. This season, the diehard Kansas City Chiefs fan is serving as the new spokesperson for Bud Light’s Fantasy Football League.

Koecher, 50, chatted with Celebuzz about all things NFL: the New York Jets’ quarterback roster, the newest member of the Denver Broncos — and perhaps most importantly – Champ Kind’s future in Anchorman 2, the sequel to the 2004 cult comedy Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy.

“What I’ve been told is that the movie will be set around the advent of the 24 hour news channel,” Koecher revealed, adding that filming is slated for Feb. 2013.

“The director’s given me a couple of jokes that Champ is going to be purveying and some situations that he’s going to be in.”

Koechner was careful not to spill the beans on the sequel’s plans, including the possible return of Vince Vaughn, who has hinted that he could reprise his role as Wes Mantooth.

“The internet is a wonderful gossip rag. Who knows what’s going to happen?” Koechner said.

When Celebuzz asked Koechner to weigh in on the soap opera of Peyton Manning, who just began his five-year contract with the Broncos, the comedian held nothing back.

“I just hope the best for his health, to be honest, that’s all. I just want the guy to make it through. I don’t want him to win. I’m a Chiefs fan… sorry, I don’t want him to win. No,” Koechner says.

“It’s going to be a beautiful side soap opera, which is going to be a lot of fun to watch develop week to week. That’s what I love about the NFL,” Koechner said of the dueling Jets QBs Tim Tebow and Mark Sanchez.

“It’s tough when one player gets, you know, all the blame — or all the credit.”

Funnyman Paul Rudd jogged through Brooklyn, NY, on July 11 with Sports Illustrated model Jessica Perez on the set of their new film They Came Together.

Earlier in the day, Perez was spotted ripping off her tank top and exposing a hot pink bikini top.

What’s the plot of the upcoming flick?

They Came Together is centered around a small business owner who’s about to lose her shop to a corporate businessman (played by 48-year-old Rudd).

The film, set to be released in 2014, also stars How I Met Your Mother’s Cobie Smulders, Kenan Thompson and Jack McBrayer.

Paul Rudd is ready to hit the boards.

Playbill is reporting that the 43-year-old I Love You, Man actor will star in a production of Grace later this year, with previews beginning in September. Also joining him are Boardwalk Empire star Michael Shannon, theater veteran Kate Arrington as well as actor Up actor Ed Asner.

So, what’s the play all about?

“Grace follows a wide-eyed young couple (Rudd & Arrington) as they start a new life in sunny, promise-filled Florida, with big plans to open a chain of Gospel motels. Anchorman 2 is happening!

The sequel to Will Ferrell‘s beloved newsroom comedy does not even start shooting until 2013, but a brand new teaser trailer has surfaced online featuring Ferrell as Ron Burgundy, along with his Channel 4 news team colleagues, as played by Paul Rudd, Steve Carrell and David Koechner.

Back in March, Ferrell slipped back into his maroon suit and mustache for a special appearance on CONAN. The big reveal was that the beloved Ron Burgundy will be returning for an Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy sequel.

It’s still not confirmed if Ron B’s love interest Veronica Corningstone (Christina Applegate) will be in the sequel, but Christina’s camp tells Celebuzz: “[We'd] love for it to happen. She’d love to be a part of it.”

The rep added that they’re “excited about the prospect.”
