This Thursday’s episode of The CW’s The Vampire Diaries told quite the tale.

A mythology-heavy hour, “Into the Wild” sent most of the gang to an island off of Nova Scotia to teach us the story of Silas, the cure and the how and why of Professor Shane’s (David Alpay) quest. The episode also brought about an interesting alliance and a new hunter.

Most importantly though, it brought back Caroline (Candice Accola) and Tyler (Michael Trevino) as they dealt with a locked up Klaus.

Silas and the very confusing tale of the cure. This episode delved deep into the cure’s creation as well as Silas and Shane’s stories and truthfully, it made me so confused my head hurt. So here goes nothing… Qestivah created the cure for immorality hoping Silas would take it and join her but when she found out he planned to use this spell on someone else, she was devastated and buried him alive instead along with the cure. Hunters were then created by her descendants so they could find him, cure him and then kill him.

So how does Shane fit in? Apparently, he had a wife who was a witch and a son who died. And when his son died accidently, she did all she could to bring him back, but she ended up dying in the process. Having heard there was a well where you could see visions of your deceased loved ones, he tried it out and saw his wife. It was there where she told him about Silas and what he needed to do in order to bring them both back including the magic of a witch and three massacres.

“You made her into a bomb only you can dismantle.” Which is where Bonnie (Kat Graham) comes in, who Shane tells Damon (Ian Somerhalder), “Bonnie has to keep me alive so I can keep her alive.” He’s the only one who can help her use Expression without going off the deep end and therein lies the importance of both of these characters. By episode’s end, Shane had her use a locator spell on Jeremy, who his friend (Qetsivah’s son?) had kidnapped for him. And now Shane is set to go.

The never-ending saga of Elena and the Salvatores. While I know Elena (Nina Dobrev) has always been, how did Rebekah (Claire Holt) once put it, “a child who only thinks about herself,” she really got on my nerves during this episode. How many times have Elena and Damon talked about how Elena will still love him after they find the cure? Like 70 times. I’m over it and don’t scream at me Delena fans but I’m kind of over them. Or maybe it’s just I’m over them looking for the cure? Either way they’re making me nuts.

What makes a miserable life? In case you weren’t clear on the difference between the Salvatore brothers, this episode laid it out explicitly. Damon thinks life as a human is the most miserable thing on earth whereas Stefan WANTS TO BE human as “every single moment of the last 146 years has been ruled by the pain of being a vampire.”

We’re the three best friends that anyone could have.Ok, not really but Elena, Stefan and Rebekah are now firmly on the same team in the race for the cure. All three characters want to be human and with their common goal laid out, an alliance has been formed. So after Rebekah freaks out when Silas’ headstone goes missing, Elena makes an offer of peace and hands over the white oak stake. Not that she trusts the original but like she said, “we’re either in this together or it’s over for all of us.”

A new hunter in town. Damon is in for some torture next week, as a member of The Five is on the island.

Klaus’ tears. Without a doubt, Klaus was the best part of “Into the Wild.” When Morgan’s eyes well up, I get emotionally involved. He was once again a rockstar on this episode and I really enjoyed the scene with Klaus and Caroline after his standoff with Tyler forces them to have a heart to heart as she almost dies. I also loved the flicker of hope the writers gave Klaroline fans when she told him, “because I’ve caught my self wishing I could forget all the horrible things that you’ve done.” While I could never really see a relationship between them happening, it would still be pretty fantastic.

Buzz Moments:

OMG: Klaus attacking Caroline made me gasp more than once!

Thank you, TV gods.: For the return of Caroline and Tyler. I missed those crazy kids.

Awk-ward: Bonnie might as well have said, “Hi Jeremy! Let me just rub my hands on your tattoo and then talk to you about it!” An unbelievably awkward moment.

Hotness: But then again Jeremy was rocking no shirt, so I think OK with a little bit of awkwardness.

Fab-u-lous: Elena’s winter hat, which looks like North Face though I’m unsure of the brand was adorable.

Can. Not. Wait.: For the gang to find the cure, or get rid of the cure. Let’s just get this cure storyline over with or at least put into high gear.

Celebuzz (1-10): 6. While I’m sure we needed to know the mythology laid out on “Into the Wild,” Thursday’s episode was a bit aggravating and confusing, save for the Klaus/Caroline/Tyler storyline.

Things are bad between the Salvatore brothers on The CW’s The Vampire Diaries, like really bad.

Of course, when one brother sleeps with another’s ex — who just might be compelled to do so — you know the other is going to have a problem with it. So on last week’s episode when Damon (Ian Somerhalder) was compelled by Kol (Nathaniel Buzolic) to kill Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen), it gave Stefan (Paul Wesley) the perfect opportunity to get some revenge for the sake of the cure. He bled out his brother and threw him in their house’s cell.

Now, a new clip from this week’s episode, “A View to a Kill,” shows that Stefan will enjoy Damon’s predicament for at least a little bit longer.

After enlisting Klaus (Joseph Morgan) to look after his older brother while he gets a dagger from Rebekah (Claire Holt), he tells the original, “Give him a vial of blood every few hours so he doesn’t desiccate. If he gets his strength back or if he just annoys you, bleed him out again.”

Ouch, Stefan. Klaus, of course, can’t let their conversation end without telling Damon that he caught Stefan sneaking away from Rebekah’s bed that morning.

“Well, well, looks like my brother ripped out a page of my revenge sex handbook,” Damon snarks at the news.

To which Stefan replies, “Why don’t you two enjoy your villain bonding time?” And it looks like they just might as the episode’s official description says Klaus will ask Damon for some personal advice.

Thursday’s episode of TVD will also feature Stefan making it up to Rebekah for missing yet another school dance. Can we all say, “Awww”?

On the midseason return of The CW’s The Vampire Diaries, we saw Elena (Nina Dobrev) give it to Stefan (Paul Wesley) straight — she isn’t in love with him anymore. Though the confession came while she under Rebekah’s (Claire Holt) compulsion, it was absolutely true. She loves Damon (Ian Somerhalder), sire bond or not.

And now it looks like the younger Salvatore is ready to move on as well. He’s gone long enough being a slave to his feelings for Elena, and Thursday’s episode showed he is more than ready to take a big leap away from the Petrova doppelganger.

Note: Spoilers ahead if you haven’t seen “Catch Me if you Can.”

“You don’t know what I look like when I’m not in love you.” BAM. Stefan Salvatore for the win. Hands down, the MVP of this episode of TVD was Wesley, who is simply fantastic when he’s playing a Stefan that doesn’t care for Elena. The truth is Stefan is a much more interesting and charismatic character when he’s not pining over Elena. Rebekah hit it on the nose when she described the baby vamp as a “child who only thinks about herself.” And damn, it was nice to see Stefan put her in her place for once. Is it just me or does it seem like Elena is getting more aggravating and annoying each week? Regardless, this exchange between the two exes brought us to…

“Crazy sex is always good.” After two scenes filled to the brim with sexual tension, Team Rebekah – Stefan and the original sister – got it on. The pair said there were “no feelings and no attachments,” but who are they kidding? Those agreements never really work. The former lovers went back to their fun ways from the 20s and I, for one, couldn’t be happier about this development and have fast it took place.

The Amazing Race. With the now retrieved headstone of Silas, Team Rebekah pulled ahead of Team Shane and Team Klaus during “Catch Me If You Can.” Let’s see if they can remain the top contender as the season progresses.

Elena’s plan. At the same time, Kol (Nathaniel Bulzoic), spent the episode vehemently against the gang finding the cure and therefore extending Jeremy’s (Steven R. McQueen) mark because of Silas. Apparently a group of Silas worshippers once told him his resurrection would bring forth the end of time and for an immortal this is just no good. Kol’s unsuccessful plan to kill Jeremy via a compelled Damon pissed Elena off so much that she’s decided her brother should go after the Original effectively killing off his entire sire line and thus leading to a full blown hunter’s mark. Two birds, one stone – plans like that never work in Mystic Falls. So just when exactly should we expect it to blow up? Meanwhile, Damon looks to be out of commission in the race as Kol’s compulsion is still active. He ended the episode locked in one of the cells.

The all mighty powerful Bonnie (Kat Graham). Team Shane attempts to recruit Bonnie by using the death of her Grams into helping him on his mission. The witchy Bonnie has more magic than ever at her hands now and loses control shortly after learning Shane’s (David Alpay) truth. And, of course, the good professor is the only one who can bring her back from the ledge. He tells Bonnie’s worried dad that without his guidance, his little girl is going to go off like a time bomb.

Some other moments I though were worth noting – Rebekah and Kol each threatening to dagger each other; Matt telling Elena the “old her” would never have trusted Damon; Klaus offering to keep Jeremy safe (for his own good of course); Stefan snapping Damon’s neck and saying, “You’re welcome,” to Elena.

Buzz Moments:

OMG: While no scenes on Thursday’s episode made me really gasp, I’ll have to go with the Stefan and Rebekah hook up. While I was expecting it to happen, I did not think it was going to happen so soon.

Thank you, TV gods.: Oh hey, Matt’s (Zach Roerig) still around! I feel like every episode he’s still alive is a good one since he’s technically our last non-supernatural human.

Awk-ward: Stefan’s smackdown of Elena. Awkward, necessary and so great.

Hotness: I can’t tell what was hotter – Stefan and Rebekah’s scenes leading up to the hookup or their tryst itself? Ah well, both were fantastic.

Fab-u-lous: While I don’t have any info about where it’s from, I really enjoyed Rebekah’s outfit in the episode. Cute and comfy.

Can. Not. Wait.: What will Elena think when she learns more details (ahem… the sex) about Stefan and Rebekah? THIS is going to be good.

The first ever holiday episode on The CW’s The Vampire Diaries was a bloodbath… literally.

While we knew one character would be dying on “O Come, All Ye Faithful,” we didn’t anticipate the carnage that would come.

But the holidays weren’t just full of death in Mystic Falls, Damon (Ian Somerhalder) also made a big decision about his relationship with Elena (Nina Dobrev) and Jeremy (Stephen R. McQueen) attempted to train away his urge to kill his sister. Not many characters on the show had themselves a Merry little Christmas.

Jeremy’s cured. Well not really, but by using Bonnie (Kat Graham) as an emotional touchstone for persuasion, the newly anointed hunter, actually, can I just call him slayer?, is able to be around his sister without wanting to murder her. The episode was not without a close moment between Jeremy and his vampire sister though.

Damon releases Elena. Despite Elena’s insistence, Damon succumbed to his guilt over the sire bond and lying to his brother and told her to leave. It was sad but I’m not necessarily sure how to feel about it quite yet. It seems their “relationship” can’t be ending as it did with a kiss goodbye and a lame “suddently every part of my body is telling me to leave you” comment. I want more.

“That little werewolf slut has lot her mind.” Ok first of all, that may have been Caroline’s (Candice Accola) best line on this episode. Second, Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) and Shane’s (David Alpay) hidden agenda was nothing I anticipated. Apparently, they needed Klaus (Joseph Morgan) to sacrifice the twelve hybrids, but why? And what is this Cylus and the cure map deal? I need more back-story because I’m feeling confused. Though seriously, that scene where Klaus killed the hybrids — best part of the episode.  But I felt bad for Tyler. He was devastated when Hayley told him of her betrayal and then even more so when walking through the decimation of his pack. I can only imagine what he’ll do when he finds out that Klaus has killed his mom.

RIP Carol Lockwood.  You weren’t a great mayor but with your death, hopefully, comes some great storylines for Tyler. Poor kid can’t catch a break.

The Return of Rebekah (Claire Holt). While the original lady vampire wasn’t resurrected on this episode, April (Grace Phipps), who was rocking Jeremy’s vervain bracelet, found her casket and opened it to find the vamp daggered. With the preview for the next episode in January, we can assume that she helps put the original vamp back in action. I personally can’t wait to see the other originals as well. Paging Elijiah (Daniel Gilles), you’re wanted in Mystic Falls.

Buzz Moments:
OMG: I don’t care that Caroline didn’t die when Hayley snapped her neck…I literally covered my mouth with my hands.

Thank you, TV gods.: For Klaus’ artistic ability. How about those snowflakes, huh? Almost better than the horse he drew last season.

Awk-ward: Jeremy telling Elena she ruined their family, even if it wasn’t really how he feels, that hurts.

Hotness: Are those new hunter arms Jeremy?! Looks like the little Gilbert has got some increased strength and it comes with a nice set of biceps! Don’t mind me I’ll just be over here rewinding that scene on my DVR for a bit.

Fab-u-lous: As always there were lots of cute clothes in this episode, especially Caroline’s dress (anyone know where it’s from?) but I really loved Elena’s camel colored leather jacket. It’s available at Nordstrom.

Can. Not. Wait.: To get more information on Hayley and Shane’s plan and see the return of Rebekah and the other Originals.

Celebuzz (1-10): 7. While the episode was good, it was far from the best we’ve seen this season and the death, while sad, wasn’t all that shocking. I often have that ‘I need more feeling’ after a TVD midseason finale, and this episode has left me with an ‘I need to watch it again’ feeling.

Thursday’s episode of The CW’s The Vampire Diaries took us back to Bourbon Street to learn some very important things about present day Mystic Falls, including some insight into the vampire sire bond and Professor Shane’s (David Alpay) big plan.

The episode also gave us both Salvatores looking dashing in a uniform and the welcome return of Stefan’s BFF Lexie (Arielle Kebbel).

Note: Spoilers ahead if you haven’t seen Thursday’s episode, “We’ll Always Have Bourbon Street.”

Girls’ night. When the boys go to NOLA, the girls will play. With Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) headed to the Big Easy to figure out the hows and whys of Elena’s sire bond, Elena (Nina Dobrev), Caroline (Candice Accola) and Bonnie (Kat Graham) decide to have a slumber party, complete with some drinks and “spirit tea,” at the Salvatore mansion. While Caroline is super judge-y the whole night, especially once she finds out Elena and Damon have since slept together, it’s kind of hilarious and awesome. There’s some major tension, but in the end it’s all good between the three besties.

Tyler is the Top Dog. Julie Plec had told reporters that Tyler (Michael Trevino) becomes a hero this season and this episode of TVD definitely cemented him in that role. Kim, the hybrid we met last week whose sire bond was broken by Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin), decided to take him on as leader of their pack by kidnapping Caroline. After she attacks Tyler, he takes her down, telling the other released hybrids that her revolt put them all at risk. Convincing his “troops” that they need to work together in order to defeat Klaus, Kim finally submitted and Tyler became the alpha wolf.

“The [sire] bond affects how you act, not how you feel.” Delena fans, hopefully, can breathe a sigh of relief after seeing this episode as we learned that the only reason Elena is sired to Damon is because of her human feelings for the older Salvatore brother. (See, their hook up wasn’t completely invalidated! The feelings are real!) Meanwhile, Back in 1942, another young lady, Charlotte (Madeline Zima) was also afflicted with a sire bond to Damon and has spent the last 70 years pining for him. But by episode’s end he set her free, which leads us to…

A selfless Damon. Despite Damon’s sometimes jack-ass ways, he really is a stand up guy. Back in 1942, at the bequest of Lexie, he let his baby brother go off to war alone so that his ‘live with no guilt’ ways wouldn’t influence Stefan to become the ripper again. Then, in present day, he was ready to break Elena’s sire bond by telling her that she is free, and thus never being able to be with her again. Of course, she stopped him before he could do so (at least by this episode’s end), but he was there ready to do the right thing even though, admittedly he doesn’t do that. Did anyone else’s heart want to break during that final scene? Seriously, the first and last five minutes of this episode were simply so fantastic – especially if you’re a big Delena fan.

Expression. During the Salvatores’ trip to New Orleans, we learned that expression is a deep and dark magic that requires a lot of sacrifices. And it appears this is the magic the good professor has been teaching to Bonnie. What will he use her and the 12 hybrids he made Hayley de-sire for? It’s not entirely clear to me just yet but given that the old witch in NOLA also mentioned the No. 12 too, I’m processing some theories.

“We’re the beginning.” Shane IS SO CREEPY. Recalling Pastor Young’s final words, Shane told Hayley that they are the beginning. What does that even mean? And will Hayley stick with him now that she knows her parents have died? So many questions, which I’m sure won’t have answers until after the New Year.

Buzz Moments:

OMG: Well this is weird…there actually weren’t any moments in this episode that made me gasp. I’d have to say this may be the first time I can ever say that for an episode of TVD.

Thank you, TV gods.: For giving an explanation of the sire bond which still validates Elena and Damon and the feelings between them.

Awk-ward: Will it ever not be awkward when Stefan walks into a room moments after Damon and Elena were locking lips? Though this week’s awkward moment upped the weirdness 10 times more from last week.

Hotness: Those first five minutes – hello! SO HOT!

Fab-u-lous: Elena Gilbert has good taste in clothes – the gorgeous dress she dons at school is from Free People (a brand I love). It’s available for purchase here.

Can. Not. Wait.: For Christmas in Mystic Falls! And the Tyler/Caroline tension which has been promised in next week’s midseason finale.

Celebuzz (1-10): 8. An overall great episode that clarified several things, featured some hot scenes and really fun action.

The holidays are coming to Mystic Falls on The CW’s The Vampire Diaries as the town is set to throw a major winter wonderland-themed bash for charity on next week’s holiday episode.

“The episode is very much about loyalty and relationships and betrayals and all that kind of drama that tends to come around family holidays,” executive producer Julie Plec told reporters.

And now Celebuzz has your first look at the holiday party in two exclusive photos featuring Candice Accola (who plays Caroline) and Michael Trevino (Tyler).

In the shots, the tension between the scheming lovers seems to be coming to a head at the charity event. With the holiday décor surrounding them, Caroline looks like she’s ready to blow at Tyler and his plan for Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and his hybrids.

Also at odds with Tyler – Caroline’s new BFF, Stefan (Paul Wesley). But when the blonde vamp tries to offer a possible solution to their disagreement, werewolf Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) will take issue.

Could it be because of her recently discovered (by the audience) partnership with Professor Shane (David Alpay)?

The good professor will become even more integrated into the group on “O Come, All Ye Faithful,” as he and Bonnie (Kat Graham) will help Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Elena (Nina Dobrev) work with Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) to conquer his vampire hunter urges at the lake house. Expect shocking news on this last episode before the New Year as well: Shane will reveal some history which will make jaws drop.

Thursday’s episode The CW’s The Vampire Diaries, “The Killer,” had our favorite Mystic Falls residents in some major predicaments. As we hinted in our preview, Elena (Nina Dobrev) played a strong role in the episode and had to make some tough choices, while the Salvatore brothers fought and Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) learned some new information.

“Everything’s about to change in one way or another,” executive producer Julie Plec told reporters at a special screening of the episode at The CW offices in Burbank. “Those changes will have a ripple effect through the entire season. I’m not saying it’s all going to change next Thursday at 8 o’clock but there are some pretty big moves next week as a result of [what happened on ‘The Killer’].”

Note: Major Spoilers Ahead if you haven’t seen Thursday’s Episode, “The Killer.”

First things first, Elena feeds on and then kills Connor (Todd Williams)! We knew it would happen sooner or later, but her first kill being the baddest hunter to ever hit the Falls, we definitely did not expect that. It was absolutely heartbreaking to see her attempt to bury him.

However, with Connor’s death, Elena unknowingly also destroyed whatever hope that Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) had for finding a cure for her using the hunter’s mark. Now, along with Elena’s devastation over her act of violence, she’ll also have to deal with hallucinations, which are a result of the murder she committed.

When you kill a legitimate vampire hunter, there’s a price to pay. “There’s a weird consequence to it all that she’s really going to have to deal with that takes her to some dark, dark places,” reveals Plec.

Elena will also start next week’s episode “super mad” at Stefan for lying to her. Her forgiveness of him will come with learning the truth about what is really going on, but the events of “The Killer” will, of course, also impact the ever-lasting triangle between her and the Salvatore brothers. Not just in the long run but on next week’s episode. [And that last conversation between Stefan and Damon regarding the need to cure Elena -- so many thoughts!]

Elena is not the only Gilbert affected by the death of Connor though. With his murder, the hunter’s mark has now apparently transferred to Jeremy as he looks at his hand and sees the beginning of a tattoo in the last moments of the episode.

Jeremy’s mark will be revealed to the other characters starting next week. With the official episode description for “We All Go a Little Mad Sometimes” indicating that Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Stefan will be helping Jeremy begin a new chapter in his life. We’re assuming that they’ll be teaching him to hunt vampires. Now that Klaus has found the sword they need to map the cure, Jeremy is the key to completing the map. And in order to expand his tattoo he has to kill.

The cure itself will obviously have major implications for our heroes on The Vampire Diaries if it’s found and it will cause major questions to be asked. Plec likens “this announcement of the cure at this point in the narrative as equal to Katherine wants a moonstone, Damon’s looking for a crystal. It’s just the beginning. It’s the beginning of a lot of roads that we can travel down.”

But for those who are sad to see the bad ass hunter depart, the executive producer teases, “Believe it or not, we have not seen completely, totally, the last of Connor.”

So what about April (Grace Phipps) and her apparent connection to Connor and the grand plan of Season 4 that was revealed on the episode?

The pastor’s daughter serves as a constant reminder of what their lives, especially Elena’s, once was, as well as an outlet of information. Plec assures us, “When all is said and done, April is our vessel to start getting some answers for that really surprising twist of events at the end of the first episode.”

As for Caroline and Hayley, their first meeting was tense and fantastic but the big news from “The Killer” is that we learned for sure that Hayley isn’t just in Mystic Falls to stir things up for Caroline and Tyler. She and Tyler have a plan to help hybrids break their bonds to Klaus.

“What you just saw is the glimpse of a beginning of a story for Tyler that we are kind of excited about,” explains Plec. Tyler will take on a heroic role through this storyline starting a revolution of sorts amongst the hybrids.

While Hayley being in town “will give Klaus this kind of gleeful, perverse, little power thing he thinks he holds over Caroline and Tyler” and “allow him to make a move or two,” the trio will actually be “pulling one over his eyes a little bit.” Could this be why Tyler is taking Hayley to Miss Mystic Falls?

Lastly, our dear Bonnie spent the entire episode being hypnotized by Professor Shane (David Alpay), who we learned last week was in cahoots with the now deceased hunter. While the good professor did help her do magic again and seems to have a need to protect her, Plec warns, “We just don’t know if it’s in her best interest or not.”

On this week’s episode of The CW’s The Vampire Diaries, “The Killer,” vampire hunter Connor (Todd Williams) takes Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen), Matt (Zach Roerig) and April (Grace Phipps) hostage at the Grill forcing our main gang to go after him and save their friends.

But there is another big showdown and it’s between Caroline (Candice Accola) and Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin). Needless to say their first meeting isn’t what we would we call nice (but it is unbelievably awesome). However, if you think you’ve figured out everything about Hayley’s relationship with Tyler (Michael Trevino), you’re wrong.

Executive producer Julie Plec explained to reporters at a screening of the episode, “Here’s the thing, we like to do this every now and then… what we like to do is introduce a trope that you sort of think you know where it’s going and everyone gets all up in arms because ‘Oh here comes the slutty little vixen in the show and Tyler’s a cheater and that’s how they’re going to break up [Tyler and] Caroline to get Caroline to Klaus [Joseph Morgan] … and then we like to basically be like that’s not at all what we’re doing.”

You’ll have to watch the episode to figure out what she means by that, but here are six more things to expect from “The Killer.”

1. Elena (Nina Dobrev) is a doer. A lot of the times when the action goes down in Mystic Falls, Elena is on the outskirts or the one needing to be saved. On “The Killer,” this is far from the truth. Episode writer Michael Narducci told us that he wrote it wanting her to do more things.

“I do not want her to not be a damsel in distress. I want her to go and protect her brother,” he said. “If both Jeremy and Matt’s lives are at stake, what’s Elena gong to do? Is she going to want for all these other people to get involved and save everyone for her or will she get involved and do something?”

2. Moments for both Delena and Stelena fans. Both Delena and Stelena get moments that should make their fandoms happy or at least give them strong feelings about them during the scenes. There are kisses and beds involved, but we’re not telling you which scene involved what and who each is with.

3. Major Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Stefan (Paul Wesley) goodness. There is more than just one scene between the Salvatore brothers that is amazing on “The Killer.” From the preview The CW released, you already know the two have a difference of opinion in the plan to take down Connor but things go pretty far between them and it is fantastic to watch.

4. The diaries are back. Both Elena and Stefan are journaling in the episode about the feelings they believe they can’t share with each other or their friends. While Plec revealed their diaries won’t be part of every episode, she did say, “It felt like the right time for her to need to have a voice for that because she doesn’t feel like she can admit this to her friends and loved ones that she hates who she’s become.” She added, “We’ll visit it at times where it feels like they need to have a private thought.”

5. Some “witch therapy.” Bonnie (Kat Graham) spends the entire episode with Professor Shane (David Alpay) learning how to confront her guilt and fear and use magic again. But as we know from last week, the Professor isn’t exactly who he says he is and has a hidden agenda and reason to protect Bonnie.

6. Connor is hungry for information. “From what I understand,” says Williams, “Connor is in a way a victim of his tattoo. People assume that’s all that Connor wants to do is kill vampires and that he derives some kind of pleasure out of it but it’s quite the opposite, he’s a very tortured man.”

He continues: “He has a lot of questions and he didn’t know his origins or his background. He’s on a search for so many things, That there’s a level of desperation that you could see, because he was like, ‘I just want to know. I want everything that I’ve done to be worth it. This tattoo – he’s not able to be compelled by vampires but it kind of compels him to do what he does.”

When Episode 3 of The CW’s The Vampire Diaries concluded last Thursday, fans everywhere were wondering who “The Five” were and what their importance was. This week, on the episode appropriately titled after the group of vampire hunters, our question was answered and boy, was the answer more monumental than any of us could have ever imagined.

During the episode, we were also greeted immediately by a few fresh faces including Alexander  (Paul Tefler),who was one of Rebekah’s (Claire Holt) many loves, in a flashback and Professor Shane (David Alpay). With so many new faces appearing and old favorites returning, the pieces of the plot are certainly about to thicken.

Damon and Elena go to college. After almost draining Matt (Zach Roerig) on last week’s episode,  Elena (Nina Dobrev) agreed to let Damon (Ian Somerhalder) teach her how to become a vampire. Now, it seems, this is the first time the new vampire actually enjoys her new self. For once, she actually came to terms with what she was. After successfully feeding on a frat guy who was attempting to roofie an unsuspecting girl, Elena felt and looked free. She was smiling and just immersed in her surroundings.

The irony in Damon’s costume was unbelievable. His brother is a vampire ripper and he decided to be Jack the Ripper. Everyone was dressed to kill (pun intended) with the exception of Professor Shane. He was in his “teacher-wear”.

There is way too much mystery surrounding him right now. Possible mentor or love interest for Bonnie (Kat Graham)? We’re not sure yet but we all know she is in need of some love after all she has gone through.

The Five. The mysterious vampire hunters were the primary subject of this episode. The show opens with a highly anticipated flashback from 1110 A.D as the first appearance of the original five. They’re stronger, faster, and more intelligent than ordinary vampire hunters. While we know that Connor Jordan (Todd Williams) is part of the group, he seems to be the diluted version. The original five had their tattoos visible at all times until death. In present day, only a select few are able to see the marking. Thanks to Alexander it’s revealed that the tattoo is actually a map.

Possible reconciliation for Matt (Zach Roerig) and Rebekah? It could be just because she has no friends, but Rebekah is really trying to make amends with Matt after she practically destroyed his life. When she revealed she got him a car and took care of all the important odds and ends, including insuring it, there was no way I could resist “awwing”. They really would be a precious couple if he could see through his aggravation and immense hatred he’s feeling towards her right now.

There are so many people in Mystic Falls and yet, everyone seems lonely. All they want is companionship. How can you feel so alone when there are so many people around you? With Rebekah, I can understand why she feels so alone and craves interaction. Her humanity was robbed and every person she cared about has hurt her.

The newest disheartening development is the massive wedge between Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Rebekah’s seemingly unbreakable bond. How can someone who was once so devoted to his sister act so cruelly?

Buzz Moments:

OMG: Daniel Gillies who plays Elijah finally made an appearance after being gone since the finale of Season 3! Yay, I missed you! Though, I have to admit I wasn’t really a big fan of his semi-greasy hairstyle. Here’s to hoping they bring him back for more than just a few episodes throughout this season!

Awk-ward:  Stefan (Paul Wesley) was all over the place with his cleverness tonight. First he referenced 50 Shades of Grey when he mentioned a”red room of pain” and then at dinner he made a snarky comment. Stefan being clever is funny but also a bit awkward.

Hotness: I was loving seeing another side of Connor…a shirtless one. As much as I love seeing Somerhalder and Wesley strutting their stuff all over Mystic Falls, a little fresh meat never hurt anyone. Writers, please incorporate more of that into your show!

Fab-u-lous: Does Rebekah look perfect in every year? Her hair in 1110 A.D. was absolutely gorgeous!

Can. Not. Wait.: It’s about to go down between Caroline (Candice Accola) and Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) as they have their first interaction. Also Stefan and Klaus teaming up to battle Connor…I can’t think of anything better.

Celebuzz Meter (1-10): 5. There were really great moments, but it wasn’t as exciting as the first three. With so much build up for the episode, I was a bit disappointed.

Senior Year has started on The CW’s The Vampire Diaries and it seems Rebekah (Claire Holt) is determined to make Elena’s (Nina Dobrev) last year of high school a hellish one.

In an effort to gain some friends (because she has none) the Original decides to throw a ditch party at her new house, but not before throwing a pencil right into Elena and teasing her with fresh human blood in the bathroom. Don’t you just love high school?

Thursday’s episode also offered up some interesting information about the new vampire hunter, a new face and our newest vampire on the brink of losing control.

Note: Spoilers ahead if you haven’t seen Thursday’s episode, “The Rager.”

Elena’s rage. Rebekah is determined to make things hard on Elena’s new life. Not only did she taunt her at school but she also confronted her at the party by momentarily stealing her daylight ring. Before Elena suffered a rage blackout and killed Rebekah with the white oak stake though, Stefan (Paul Wesley), always the voice of reason, talked her down and took her for a ride on his spiffy new motorcycle. But not before she did a killer keg stand to show up Rebekah.

Is Damon’s (Ian Somerhalder) way the right way? It seems since the bunny diet didn’t work for Elena on previous episodes, she’s now strictly on the Matt (Zach Roerig) diet. Feeding off her friend to sustain herself is all well and good until the end of the episode. After confessing her feelings of rage over Rebekah to Matt, she takes a drink from his wrist and can’t stop. Luckily Damon is there to save him and tells her he is going to teach her the right way to be a vampire. Really Damon? We can’t wait to see.

“I’m faster than your average hunter.” Connor (Todd Williams) continued to be a pain for everyone in Mystic Falls attacking both Tyler (Michael Trevino) and Matt during the episode and showing up at school to corner Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) for information. While we learned why Jeremy can see his tattoo, we also learned it might not be a good thing – he’s meant to be a hunter (!?!?!).

With Jeremy and Meredith’s (Torrey DeVitto) help, Damon set up Connor and confronted him with Klaus (Joseph Morgan) to get more information on the great evil that Pastor Young had spoke about in his letter to April (Grace Phipps). However, once Klaus saw the markings on Connor’s arrow, he knew that he was one of “The Five.”

What is “The Five? Even Connor doesn’t know as he asked the Original what he meant by the phrase. Klaus’ response: “Well let’s just say it’s made you the most well protected vampire hunter in town.” Klaus also hints that with this information, Elena is again valuable to him. This can’t be good for our new vamp.

Hayley’s here. Phoebe Tonkin’s first appearance on TVD was such a tease. We got a short introduction to Tyler’s old friend who surprised him after she found out one of her hybrid friends was headed to Mystic Falls to protect him. Of course, Tyler declined to tell Caroline (Candice Accola) anything about his beautiful friend popping by and Klaus overhead everything. Let the drama begin.

“You’re good at this you know that? You should write a book, go on The View.” I love Caroline and Stefan. Or maybe I just love Caroline in general. Either way I really dig their friendship. He helps her adjust to be a vampire. She helps him not lose control when he feels the Ripper is calling at him to enjoy himself with Elena. It’s a perfect combination. I heart them.

Buzz Moments:

OMG!: Damon entering Connor’s RV only to be shot by an arrow booby-trapped by a bomb. Eek! That was a close one!

Awk-ward: Elena’s hot makeout session with Stefan was again interrupted, only this time it was even more awkward than bloody vomit, if that’s possible. Elena’s romp with Stefan was stopped by Damon – not he didn’t walk in on them – she hallucinated it was him she was with instead of Stefan.

Hotness: Damon undressing in front of Elena and then asking her if she’d like to stay for the show…priceless and unbelievably hot.

Fab-u-lous: You got to look good on your first day back at school and Elena definitely did. The dress she was wearing was gorgeous! Unfortunately we couldn’t find where it was from on the internet but let us know if you know!

Can. Not. Wait.: I’m excited to find out what exactly ‘The Five’ is and how Elena might be involved (I’m assuming she is after Klaus’ statements at the end of the episode). Luckily we’ll find out next week as the title of Episode 4 is “The Five.” I also can’t wait to see Caroline and Haley’s first interaction and Damon’s “right way” to be a vampire.

Celebuzz Meter (1-10): 7. “The Rager”  had its great moments but didn’t grab me as much as the first two! It was still a killer time though and overall an awesome episode.

Elena (Nina Dobrev) was having a difficult time on the second episode of Season 4 of The CW’s The Vampire Diaries.

Not wanting to feed from a human, the baby vamp was unable to keep any blood down no matter what the source. Mystic Falls also had to deal with the arrival of a new vampire hunter and the Pastor’s daughter. We also got a surprise appearance from an old face, which made us smile.

Note: Spoilers ahead if you haven’t seen Thursday’s episode, “Memorial.”

“Her compassion is her Achilles heel.” Part of being a vampire means all of your emotions are heightened and for Elena that could severely cripple her food source. She cares so much about others, especially in her time of need, that hurting someone could probably kill her. Stefan (Paul Wesley) is so worried that she’ll want to turn off her humanity if she kills someone that he has her try a “bunny diet.” Damon (Ian Somerhalder) of course doesn’t agree. “Vampires eat people. It’s part of the natural food pyramid,” he says. Seems like he might be right since she can’t seem to keep any source of blood down until the end of the episode.

The Pastor’s Daughter. Elena has a history with Pastor Young’s daughter April (Grace Phipps) as she used to be her babysitter. April’s big TVD debut has her almost becoming Elena’s first victim. With the help of Caroline (Candice Accola), the new vampire was able to regroup and compel April to forget what happened at the memorial. How awesome is Caroline in this scene by the way? Or all the time actually?

Connor Jordan is trouble. There’s a new vampire hunter in town and he is going to give our favorite vamps a run for their money. Connor comes strolling into Mystic Falls with vervain-laced gloves and special tattooed bullets. After a run in with Tyler (Michael Trevino), he attacks April and uses her as bait for the vampires during the memorial for the council. Connor also has some interesting tattoos that only Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) can see.

Matt makes a sacrifice for Elena. With Connor’s trap set, Elena has to feed on something or she just might lose it. Matt, full of guilt from Elena’s “death” offers up his neck to help her. Sneakily, she appeared to grieve into his shoulder at the church while actually getting her first taste of real human blood from the vein as Connor watched from afar.

Stefan vs. Damon.When it comes to Elena, we all know that Stefan and Damon will never see eye to eye. Tension came to a head on Thursday as Damon let his brother know that Elena had drank from him. Apparently, blood sharing is a huge deal between vampires and it had Stefan pissed, not just at Damon but Elena as well. The best part of their continual fight..when Stefan saved his brother and then punched him. When Damon asked, “What?” he responded, “You know what?”

Damon is missing Alaric (Matt Davis) and I am too. Damon’s statements that someone was sitting in the Grill with him was most definitely a nod to our favorite ex-history teacher. And much to our surprise, we actually got to see him! When the rest of the gang were lighting lanterns in a beautiful scene to honor of their dearly departed friends and family, Damon was at the cemetery talking to his old pal with a bottle of booze. How perfect was the use of the Fray’s “Ungodly Hour” in this scene? It killed me.

Damon gets the best lines. Seriously, this sexy Salvatore brother had some gem one-liners during “Memorial.” My favorite was, “Am I wearing my ‘I blew up the council t shirt!?’ Why is everyone asking me that?”

Buzz Moments:

OMG!: I uttered a few gasps during the episode, but I’d have to say I was most shocked by Connor stabbing April and Tyler getting shot by him in front of the whole town.

Awk-ward: In an awkward but awesome moment, Connor introduces himself to Damon and Damon says he’s a germaphobe.

Hotness: Elena and Stefan were heading into unbelievably hot territory when he was helping her learn how to be a vampire. Too bad it was stopped short by some bloody vomit.

Fab-u-lous: Unfortunately, Elena’s initial dress at the memorial was also ruined by some bloody vomit. But before that happened, she looked adorable in her lace peach dress from Anthropologie. Though it’s not available in stores anymore, you can scour eBay to find it.

Can. Not. Wait.: The arrival of Phoebe Tonkin as werewolf Hayley! We loved her on The Secret Circle and think she’ll fit right into the TVD crew. We can’t wait to see what drama she might stir up between Tyler and Caroline.

Celebuzz Meter (1-10): 9. Another stellar episode for Season 4 with some tense, funny and emotional moments littered throughout. Keep it coming TVD!

With eight days left to go before the Season 4 premiere of the CW’s The Vampire Diaries, we here at Celebuzz were lucky enough to get our hands on the first two episodes of the season. (Thanks CW!)

This new season is all about change for everyone in Mystic Falls as Elena (Nina Dobrev) makes her transition to the undead, the gang starts their senior year and the council knows everything about everyone thanks to Alaric (Matt Davis).

Now that we’ve seen “Growing Pains” and “Memorial,” we can tell you what to expect in the return to Mystic Falls. (The answer is awesomeness).

Note: Spoilers ahead for Episodes 1 and 2 of Season 4.

Elena is having an extremely difficult time. We’ll slap an “obvious” sticker on this spoiler. Elena’s transition to the undead will not be easy for her, both before and after she actually feeds. Her need to care for everyone and put up a tough front will make her even more vulnerable given her heightened emotional state. It will also make Stefan (Paul Wesley) more intent on keeping her from killing anyone so that she never feels the need to shut her humanity off. Damon (Ian Somerhalder), well, he’ll just be angry.

Bonnie (Kat Graham) is a bad ass. We already knew that Bonnie was going to do everything she could to attempt to stop Elena’s transition into a vampire, but how far she really goes is amazing. The girl gives literally everything she has to help her friend, no matter the repercussions are for her use dark magic. Unfortunately, she’ll be pushed even further when forced to help Klaus get back in his rightful body and it will cripple her sense of self as a witch.

Tyler (Michael Trevino) is even hotter/more amazing as Klaus. We wouldn’t have thought it was possible, but somehow Trevino made Tyler even hotter as he embodied original vamp, Klaus. He brought his “A” game in these scenes. His mannerisms and facial expressions were absolute perfection and it was nice to see him act in such a dark and dramatic turn. Whether he was playing Klaus or Tyler, we were uber impressed with his performance.

Is it hot in here or is it just us? The first two episodes feature not one but three particularly hot scenes between some of our main characters. As we’ve been teased in the season premiere photos, Tyler/Klaus and Caroline (Candice Accola) have quite the steamy reunion in “Growing Pains.” Caroline is too smart for Klaus though and things get shut down before they go too far. The pair also have a scene in “Memorial” that’s not only hot but also sweet and funny.

With Elena’s emotions heightened, the chemistry between her and Stefan is off the charts and you’ll see that on screen in the first two episodes. Though their first bout of vamp sex is unfortunately put on hold thanks to Elena’s difficulty feeding. (Damn!)

There will be some unexpected surprises. You’ll be seeing some familiar people in these episodes and while we can’t tell you who you may pop up, we’ll just say that you won’t be disappointed by their appearances.

Elena remembers and Damon sulks.  Part of the transition to vamp status includes remembering all those things you were compelled to forget and Elena does this in a way that made us smile and tear. Not only does she now remember that she met Damon first but also that he once told her he loved her (replay of a heartbreaking scene, so get lots of tissues!). Throughout the episodes, Damon will continue to try and come to terms with the fact that the life he wanted for Elena is over and he does this mostly by being angry. He’ll also help her in a way that Stefan will not enjoy in “Memorial.”

Watch out for the council and the new hunter in town. With the council now aware of just who everyone is, the danger for our favorite Mystic Falls residents is at an all time high. Things get even more precarious when Connor Jordan (guest star Todd Williams) rolls into Mystic Falls.

OK, that’s all we’ll tell you for now and we didn’t even mention Matt (Zach Roerig), Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) or Rebekah (Claire Holt). Be prepared for action at breakneck speed as Season 4 kicks off and your own heightened emotions as you watch Elena and everyone go through their “Growing Pains.”

Season 4 of The Vampire Diaries premieres Thursday, Oct. 11 at 8 PM.

There’s a memorial happening in Mystic Falls but the question is, whose is it?

New pictures from The CW’s The Vampire Diaries second episode of Season 4 – “Memorial – have hit the web and it looks like Elena (Nina Dobrev), Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Matt (Zach Roerig) aren’t the only ones in shock at the church.

With their looks of shock and terror, we can tell that something BIG is going down in the church. With all of our favorite characters minus Bonnie (Kat Graham) present and accounted for, you just know this cannot be good. Things never seem to turn out well when everyone is together (See: Every event Mystic Falls has ever had.)

What else do we know about Season 4?

The official description for the season premiere of The Vampire Diaries tell us, “Pastor Young (guest star Michael Reilly Burke) and the Town Council members begin rounding up the vampires and their supporters, leading to an unexpected tragedy.”

It looks like this memorial could be their plot. TVLine also reported that Episode 2 would be a major one for Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) setting his course for the entire season. Could he be putting on some heroics when this all goes down?

In addition to these shots from the church, we also see that Tyler/Klaus (Michael Trevino) may be in trouble. But is he even still Klaus at this point?

Caroline (Candice Accola) will enlist the help of Stefan to figure out what could be wrong with him in the episode.

Season 4 of The Vampire Diaries premieres Thursday, Oct. 11 at 8 PM on The CW.

Alright, Vampire Diaries fans, it is your lucky day as we have not one but two new clips from the Season 4 premiere of the hit CW show.

As many of you know, Elena (Nina Dobrev) will be making her transition to the undead on this season’s premiere, “Growing Pains,” and it is absolutely heartbreaking watching her realize in the clip above that she is dead.

Which got us here at Celebuzz thinking, just how many times has Elena almost died? In just three seasons, the poor girl almost bit the bullet six times and even died in one episode.

With just under three weeks left to go until the big premiere, we’re reminiscing about the hard times our heroine has been through with video links, a gallery and a sneak peek at Season 4. 

With the exception of the car crash that Stefan (Paul Wesley) saved Elena from and her parents died in, Season 1’s episode, “Bloodlines,” marked the first time Elena almost died. The end of the previous episode was perhaps the biggest moment for Elena and Stefan actually consummated their relationship. But moments later, when she finds out about her remarkable resemblance to Katherine, she flees from the house in a panic and hits a mysterious person with her car. Damon (Ian Somerhalder) saves her and then kidnaps her for a road trip to Georgia.

Season 2 was particularly rough for Elena as there was at least two times she almost died and once when she actually did.

Elena’s first brush with death in this season was in the episode, “Rose,” when she was kidnapped by Rose (Lauren Cohan) and Trevor (Trent Ford). The duo had hoped to trade the Petrova doppelganger for their freedom from being on the run from the Originals. Of course, the Salvatores came to her rescue with crossbows, vervain grenades, and a stake in hand. While Elijah (Daniel Gillies) was put down for a while, we all know it’s not that easy to kill an Original.

Episodes later in “The Dinner Party,” Elena stabbed herself to force Elijah’s hand in a deal to protect those she loves from being hurt during her protection from Klaus (Joseph Morgan). Then after he obliged, she stabbed him with the dagger and Stefan saved her with his blood. We don’t believe one fan thought she’d actually die during this scene, but the shock of Elena actually stabbing herself sent us over the edge at the time.

Elena’s actual death took place in order for Klaus to complete the ritual of the moonstone and achieve his hybrid status during “The Sun Also Rises.” The Original drained her blood while Stefan looked on writhing in pain. She came back to life, and not as a vampire, through an old Bennett spell Bonnie (Kat Graham) performed linking her father John’s (David Anders) life to her own, keeping her spirit in tact and killing him.

On Season 3’s “The Reckoning,” Stefan is ordered to drink Elena by Klaus. Fighting his order, he tells her to run but she can only run so far before running into Klaus. Compelling him to turn off his humanity, the Ripper then goes into full beast mode and drains the love of his life. (Editor’s note: Paul Wesley, A ++++ performance here). After finding out the witch’s original plan and the need for Elena to live, Elena is brought to the hospital and orders Stefan to look after her.

The very next episode, “Smells Like Teen Spirt,” Elena is trapped in a burning vehicle by spirit Vicki (Kalya Ewell) and saved by Alaric (Matt Davis). The two of them then save Stefan who was lying unconscious in the back of the vehicle. Vicki was trying to kill Elena in order to keep Klaus’ hybrids from surviving so that she could come back to the world of the living. Obviously, her plan did not work out.

Then we have Elena’s tragic death on the Season 3 Finale, “The Departed.” After Matt’s (Zach Roerig) truck goes off the Wickery bridge because of Rebekah, Elena forces Stefan to save Matt before her and she dies at the bottom of the lake. Dobrev, excuse the pun, kills it in this scene with some of the most amazing underwater acting we’ve ever seen. We find out that Elena’s injuries from her bout with Alaric in the penultimate episode of Season 3 were a lot more serious than Dr. Fell let on and she died with vampire blood in her system.

And now Elena is dead, well, undead. Will they be able to stop her transition? You can watch a new clip from Season 4 of the Salvatore brothers fighting over what they can or can not do to help her below.

Bonnie (Kat Graham) is ready to do whatever it takes to save Elena (Nina Dobrev) from making her transition into a vampire on the season premiere of The CW’s The Vampire Diaries.

In the just released photos from Season 4’s first episode – “Growing Pains” – we see the young witch may be getting into trouble after doing some dark magic to save her friend. Meanwhile, Elena’s brother, Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen), sure does look concerned about his ex-girlfriend.

But could she really be performing another spell all together — perhaps, to extract Klaus (Joseph Morgan) from Tyler’s (Michael Trevino) body?

In one of these new photos we see Tyler/Klaus with a menacing glare in the house that Bonnie built which makes us a little suspicious that she is. Then another shows us a coffin near the witch while Jeremy and Caroline (Candice Accola) help her after she does the spell.

Of course, this appears to be after Klaus has got his way for a little love time with our favorite blond vampire as she and Tyler/Klaus have a sexy rendezvous in the woods. (ATTN: Trevino is shirtless!)

As for Elena, she’s locked up in a cell while she makes her transition to the undead. But is Stefan (Paul Wesley) locked up with her? From the looks of these photos it appears he is. We’re betting the council definitely had something to do with this.

Yet, the most important thing to note about these shots… there is NO DAMON (Ian Somerhalder). Just where oh where, oh where could that other sexy Salvatore be?

Uh oh! What are Stefan (Paul Wesley), Elena (Nina Dobrev) and Matt (Zach Roering) afraid of?

Our spines are tingling as a new photo from Season 4 of The CW’s The Vampire Diaries shows the three characters with major looks of shock and bewilderment while sitting in a church pew.

Ok, Julie Plec and Kevin Williamson, we’re officially nervous. Also we’re thinking we need to go stock up on some tissues.

The photo, which is in Entertainment Weekly’s new Fall TV Preview issue, also showcases other Mystic Falls residents ducking and covering.

What do we think is happening in the picture?

Given their dark clothes and the recent death of Alaric (Matthew Davis), we’re assuming they’re at his funeral.

But where is everyone else? Wouldn’t Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) be there as well? We’re intrigued.

EW also teases a new villain who is hell bent on destroying Mystic Falls. This photo from “Growing Pains” coupled with the just released trailer featuring Elena’s transition, a car accident, some punches and new characters has us wishing it was October already.

Only 35 days until the premiere people. 35 days.

When Elena (Nina Dobrev) asks, “Am I dead?,” in the first trailer for Season 4 The CW’s The Vampire Diaries, our jaws just about hit the floor.

As this new sneak peek is just a snippet of what’s to come, we think it’s safe to say this season of the hit CW show is going to be insanely amazing. (Seriously, we’ve watched this sneak peek about 20 times already!) Not only do we see the beginning of a new chapter for Elena in becoming a vampire but also what her friends are going to try to do to stop it.

As Elena is beginning to transition, what do we see the other residents of Mystic Falls doing?

Elena’s core group of friends will exhaust every possible resource in their attempt to stop her transition to the undead. This includes some dark magic by Bonnie (Kat Graham) with the help of Jeremy (Steven R. Mc Queen), which looks like it may not end well for our favorite witch.

Though Damon (Ian Somerhalder) isn’t hopeful anything they do will help her exclaiming, “There is no way out of it. You feed or you die.”

The often softer Salvatore, Stefan (Paul Wesley), attempts to remain supportive telling Elena, “No matter what happens, I am here for you.”

Meanwhile, some other great action takes place with Caroline (Candice Accola) jumping Tyler (Michael Trevino) or should we say Klaus in the woods. We also see what appears to be a car accident with Caroline and another blonde (Claire Holt’s Rebekah perhaps?) in addition to a new character telling Sherriff Forbes (Marguerite MacIntyre) that “we’re making our move.” So much drama in Mystic Falls. We can’t wait.

If you thought that The CW’s The Vampire Diaries would make Elena Gilbert (Nina Dobrev) look any more Katherine-like now that she’s become a vampire you were wrong.

In the first photo of Elena as a vamp seen in TV Guide Magazine, the high schooler looks just the same. Only this time, she’s behind bars.

So are Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Stefan (Paul Wesley) protecting her from herself or was this her idea?

Dobrev tells TV Guide that her character  ”doesn’t want to eat people, so she’s hungry – and moody. ”  Perhaps the Salvatores may need protection from her?

Elena’s transition into the undead happened after she forced Stefan to save Matt (Zach Roerig) from their car first when Rebekah (Claire Holt) forced them into an accident that sent their car flying off the bridge. Having been given vampire blood from Dr. Fell (Torrey DeVito) to help her recover from a cerebral hemorrhage prior to the accident, her eyes opened as the credits rolled.

Moments prior she had finally made her choice between Damon and Stefan, choosing Stefan as he made her feel alive. Somerhalder mentioned during the show’s 2012 Comic-Con panel that Elena’s new character trait will add a whole new dynamic to their relationships.

On Tuesday, TVLine posted a picture of exes Bonnie (Kat Graham) and Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) practicing magic together. Last time we saw Bonnie practicing her craft she had performed a spell that is sure to anger her elders by putting Klaus (Joseph Morgan) into Tyler’s body.

The CW’s hit show ‘The Vampire Diaries’ was the latest show to hold a panel at this year’s PaleyFest and Nina Dobrev, Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley definitely sizzled at the event. Looking sleek in black, the cast sat down to give fans a sneak peek of the show which included a screening of the highly-anticipated “1912″ episode!

However, fans who were not at the event will have to wait until March 15 to see the episode — executive producer Julie Plec asked the audience to respect a “circle trust” and told attendees not to spoil anything for others. Sorry, folks!
