Nothing could be less appealing than the promise of a weekend music festival deep in the (hot, dry) Coachella Valley, where the ticket holders don’t bathe and everyone’s off their rockers on heaven-knows-what.

We’ve all seen evidence of this in years past, with Vanessa Hudgens as the Grand Marshall and Paris Hilton as that aging fan who has no business dressing like such a hipster (*eyes Melanie Griffith in her pantaloons*).

Don’t get me wrong.  With the right line-up and a low occupancy, a music festival can be f-u-n.  However, judging from the pictures I’ve come across of Hudgens spinning around in circles, I don’t have the tolerance for such behavior.

In the words of Jack Donaghy: “Never go with a hippie [or in our case, hipster] to a second location.”

No, Dan Humphrey isn’t back for a Gossip Girl spinoff.

But Penn Badgley does still have his boyish looks and charm in Greetings From Tim Buckley.

The film, directed by Daniel Algrant, tells the real life story of how Jeff Buckley landed on stage to deliver his legendary 1991 tribute concert to his father Tim Buckley’s songs.

Along the way, the younger Buckley meets a potential love interest (played by Imogen Poots), who admits to having “a huge crush on your father,” and struggles with the short but overarching career of his father.

Buckley’s career was also cut short when he drowned in 1997 in Memphis, Tenn. at the age of 30. Before his death, Buckley released what would be his only studio album, Grace in 1994. Sketches for My Sweetheart the Drunk, a compilation of studio songs and demos, was released posthumously one year after his death.

The film is Badgley’s first major project since The CW’s Gossip Girl, which ended in December 2012. The 26-year-old actor will next star in the ensemble flick Parts per Billion, alongside Josh Hartnett, Rosario Dawson and Teresa Palmer, due in 2014.

Greetings From Tim Buckley will screen at the Tribeca Film Festival later this month and open in New York and L.A. on May 3.

Gossip Girl went out with a bang Monday night, wrapping up storylines that revolved around our favorite Upper East Siders.

Not only did Blair (Leighton Meester), Chuck (Ed Westwick), Dan (Penn Badgley), Serena (Blake Lively), Nate (Chace Crawford) and all the others live happily ever after, but fans also found out who’s been pulling the strings as Gossip Girl for the past six seasons. Fans spent the evening discussing the Gossip Girl’s identity, and he was a trending topic late into the night. That’s right: Gossip Girl is a HE. The character, voiced by Kristen Bell, was revealed to be none other than Lonely Boy, Dan Humphrey.

Monday’s episode of Gossip Girl marks the beginning of the end of an era on The CW as the scandalous show on Manhattan’s elite has just nine episodes left to air before gossip girl finally shuts down her computer.

The scene was effectively set for our favorite folks from the Upper East Side’s last season as they embark on their final story lines. With new relationships, old relationships and a scandalous new book from Dan (Penn Badgley), we are sure it’s going to be a fun ride.

Note: Spoilers ahead if you haven’t seen the Season 6 premiere, “Gone Maybe Gone.” Read on for our seven highlights and the big buzz moments from the premiere. 

Serena (Blake Lively) was lost and now she’s found. Well kind of. Serena had been MIA for the whole summer and Lily (Kelly Rutherford) has just now realized they haven’t spoken in while. Worried about her daughter, she calls her friends to find out where she is. With no one having heard from her, the crew eventually bands together to find Serena and head to a wedding, which they assume to be hers. Lucky for them, she really is just throwing a wedding for her new friends with her new boy (or should we say man?) Steven (Barry Watson). Though she was determined to make a fresh start without all the drama from her friends in the city, we all know life isn’t that easy when you’re part of this group of friends.

Are Serena and Blair (Leighton Meester) dunzo? From what we saw on the episode it appears, “S” is really taking strides to distance herself from “B” despite Blair’s heartfelt apology. (Seriously, though, why is Blair apologizing to Serena? Shouldn’t it be the other way around?) But could these two really not be BFFs again by the series’ end? I don’t think so. Of all the relationships the show has had, this is obviously the most important. I’m looking forward to seeing how the two work their way back to friendship.

Chuck (Ed Westwick) and Blair have a plan for the future. Though Blair chose the dashing Chuck to be her love forever on last season’s finale, the destined-to-be pair have decided to put things on hold for a bit to get their affairs in order. Chuck is determined to bring his newly-alive dad down while Blair is hoping to follow in her mother’s footsteps successfully with Waldorf Designs.

Ivy (Kaylee Defer) and Rufus (Matthew Settle)? In what has to be the most unlikely and gross pairing we’ve seen on the show, Dan’s dad has opened his home and his bed to con woman Ivy. But what is she really after? A message she leaves for Lola indicates she’s giving her best performance yet manipulating the former rocker. Hmmm.

Lonely Boy has a new book. Inside version 2.0 is real and raw and has no names omitted. Helping Dan (Penn Badgley) to plan the sale and release of his expose is none other than Georgina Sparks (Michelle Trachtenberg). Will Humphrey’s new book be the talk of the town again? Will he have any friends left after its release? We’ll have to wait and see.

Welcome back Georgina. Sometimes, the character of Georgina is annoying and sometimes she is amazing. Monday’s episode featured the latter. Georgina kept us laughing with great one-liners throughout the episode such as, “You shouldn’t be creating in a workshop, you’re not an elf.”

Nate’s got a new girl. And she’s a journalism student interviewing for him for her class. Could this relationship be more than he bargained for?

Buzz Moments:

OMG: Mr. Humphrey and Ivy getting it on! Excuse me, WHAT? This is a pairing we definitely didn’t expect to see!

Thank you, TV Gods.: For giving us some closure on Dan and Blair! It was nice to see.

Awk-ward: It’s hard to pick between Dan walking in on his Dad and Ivy as our “OMG” moment or the Upper East Siders crashing a wedding that is not Serena’s. But if we had to choose, it would have to be Dan seeing his Dad in bed with Ivy. Again, EW, just EW!

Hotness: Um, hello Season 6? The final season of the show made quite the impression in its introduction with an insanely hot Blair/Chuck sex romp.

Fab-u-lous: Lively looked pretty phenomenal as she walked around the garden in beautiful white and yellow Jenny Packham dress.

Can. Not. Wait.: Of course, I can’t wait to see how this will all end. We’ve had a sneak peek into these characters’ lives for five years now and I’m more than intrigued and interested to find out where the story ends as well as who really is Gossip Girl?

The cast of Gossip Girl isn’t new to the fashion world. Almost every cast member has been featured in a clothing or beauty campaign since the show’s beginning.

Penn Badgley, 25, is the latest star to be tagged as the face of a major fashion house. He stars in Alexander Wang’s Fall 2012 Ready-to-Wear video alongside rappers A$AP Rocky and Diplo.

Penn’s girlfriend, Zoe Kravitz, 23, is very close with the designer and sat front row at his spring show last February. Unfortunately, both were at the Toronto Film Festival and were therefore unable to attend Wang’s Fall 2012 show.

Which other Gossip Girl stars has found success in fashion campaigns?

Newlywed Blake Lively, 25, has a roster of fashion campaigns up her sleeve. Her debut was for none other than Chanel, where she posed for Karl Lagerfeld’s camera and posed with handbags and accessories. Her latest campaign, however, is for the Gucci fragrance, Premiere.

The blonde stunner channels old Hollywood glamour in the shots.

Next up is Leighton Meester, 26, who appeared in Vera Wang’s fantastic fragrance, Love Struck. The singer-actress looks gorgeous in the romantic ads and claims she’s been a longtime fan of Wang’s.

Ed Westwick, 25, is a full-blown fashionista. He walked in the Philipp Plein fashion show in July 2012, was featured in Plein’s ad campaign, and also starred in the Kswiss print ads in 2011. It looks like Westwick is taking cues from Chuck Bass himself.

Both Jessica Szohr, 27, and Taylor Momsen, 19, have also been in advertisements for major fashion brands – OP and Madonna’s Material Girl line respectively.

Blake Lively has had to kiss many frogs — albeit handsome ones — before finding her prince, actor Ryan Reynolds, in Mount Pleasant, S.C., on Sunday.

Though it was the wedding no one saw coming, Lively and Reynolds’ romance was blossoming for almost a year. Starting with a sushi and Radiohead concert date last October, the Green Lantern couple has since been inseparable — even purchasing a quaint country home in Bedford, N.Y., earlier this year.

So who were the other men in Lively’s life before Reynolds swept her off her feet?

As with Reynolds, the 25-year-old actress has dated few of her past costars.

Before her breaking out in Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, Lively was linked to childhood sweetheart and prom date Kelly Blatz, who finally “finally came around” in 2004 when they worked together in Simon Says.

Likewise, Lively and former beau Penn Badgley became an item in May 2007 after their characters hooked up in Gossip Girl. However, the pair parted ways in September 2010 after three years of dating.

Like with their low-key relationship, Lively and Lively and Reynolds, 35, kept their Sept. 9 nuptials very hush-hush and out of the public eye, with only 60 people on the guest list for the private ceremony.

In fact, even songstress and attendee Florence Welsh, who performed for the couple as a wedding gift, was forbidden to tell her hairstylist what she was doing that evening.

“[Florence] wasn’t allowed to say anything,” Kacie Faulling, a celebrity hair and makeup artist based in Charleston, told Celebuzz exclusively. “Blake and Ryan wanted it to be kept a secret. [Florence] wasn’t even allowed to bring her cell phone into the wedding. No one could take pictures.”

Coachella is underway and celebs everywhere flocked to its famous Neon Carnival on Saturday night. Hosted by A|X Armani Exchange and T-Mobile, the annual bash was packed with famous faces.

On-and-off couple Emma Roberts and Chord Overstreet took their rekindled romance to the star-studded event. Around this time last year, the two lovebirds were seen smooching at the carnival — and it looks like this year was no different!

“Emma and Chord arrived together,” a party guest told Celebuzz. “They were kissing by the bar.”

A very shaggy-haired Penn Badgley was practically inseparable from his longtime girlfriend, Zoe Kravtiz.

“They were together entire night — riding rides and looked like two little kids in love,” our insider said.

Los Angeles based radio station K-Earth 101 recently posted this photo of the hunky Transformers actor’s new ‘do, but don’t worry if you’re not digging it, it’s just for a movie! Josh just started filming Scenic Route, and took to the buzzers for this look.

The Gossip Girl guy chatted with Celebuzz editor Amber James exclusively at the Rock & Republic For Kohl’s Fashion Week show, and opened up about his taste in women and his on and off screen love life. Swoon!

When asked about what he finds attractive in the opposite sex, the actor answered: 

“That is such a hard question to answer… Someone with confidence and command of her sexuality.”

Penn has dated two fashionistas in his day, Blake Lively and now Zoe, so we had to ask: What style does he find most attractive on females?

He answered candidly, “It’s hard to nail just one down, but if her style is original and unique, it denotes confidence and individually. Honestly, I like it all depending on who it is.” As for his go-to style, “Black jeans, a shirt and a jacket. It’s pretty simple.”

Now for the Gossip Girl scoop! Though they haven’t rekindled their romance for quite some time, will we ever see Dan (Penn) and Serena (Blake) together again? The actor joked, “There is probably no hope for those two. (laughs) … Actually, we only get scripts week to week, so I don’t know what’s in store for Dan or the rest of the characters.”

It’s called The End of the Affair episode and it leaves Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester) alone in a dressing room with Dan Humphrey (Penn Badgley) while wearing a wedding gown. 

We can’t wait to see where this is going! Also in the stills, the wedding gown guru herself, Vera Wang! Leighton and Vera know each other all too well as the Gossip Girl is the face of Vera’s fragrance Lovestruck.

It seems as though Penn Badgley and girlfriend Zoe Kravitz have ditched chilly New York and flown south for the holidays.

The Gossip Girl star and his actress girlfriend (and yes, she’s the daughter of Lenny) were spotted looking like serious lovebirds as they enjoyed the warm Miami weather. The two snuggled and canoodled in their South Beach pool, with Zoe looking slim in her two-piece bikini and Penn letting his long hair loose.

Badgley has been in New York City in recent months filming for Gossip Girl, and his over-the-top hair is likely linked to his upcoming role as musician Jeff Buckley in a biopic about the singer’s tragic life.

Zoe has been enjoying her time on Californication as well as in the smash hit X-Men: First Class, which hit it big at the box office in 2011.

It was a guys’ night out for the Gossip Girl guy Chace Crawford … sorta. The actor hit up GQ at PARK & BOND Holiday Pop-Shop Shop launch party on Wednesday, and was joined by talk show host Nate Berkus and a slew of other style-savvy GQ men.  Despite the guy-centric event, Chace was seen on the arm of a female friend. 

The actor was spotted with what looked to be Canadian model Amanda Laine, who was dressed in a super sexy LBD with leopard-print embellishments. The two got cozy next to the coat check, even stopping for pictures. As you may recall, Chace was just seen with Amanda at a hockey game at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday, Nov. 29. 

Doesn’t look like these two are afraid to go public about their romance! The hockey game was a double date with Chace’s GG costar Jessica Szohr seen holding hands with her Love Bite costar, British actor Luke Pasqualino.

Penn Badgley has had a lot of special moments with his Gossip Girl fans, but none was as scary as the run-in he had with 50 Catholic schoolgirls!

During a shoot at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art, Penn ran into a crowd of “aggressive” fans outside of the museum’s steps.

“I tried to come down and wasn’t able to get to the Met because probably, like, 40 or 50 Catholic schoolgirls all swarmed me and pinned me up against a chain-link fence,” the actor told People, “At first, it was entertaining and then they started pulling at my clothes and it was a little aggressive.”

“This bodyguard came out of nowhere, reached out like I was holding on to a rock in raging rapids, and pulled me through it,” he said. “[It] was bizarre.”

Phew! What a close call!

Luckily for the actor, he’s now spoken for! Following a three years relationship with fellow Gossip Girl star Blake Lively, Badgley has settled down with actress Zoe Kravtiz. The couple has been going strong and is a staple on the GG set.

Let’s just hope Penn and Zoe won’t be running into any more schoolgirls in the future!

Last night, Blake Lively, Leighton Meester, Penn Badgley, Chace Crawford, Ed Westwick and more stepped out to celebrate GG‘s 100th episode in New York City. The girls (obviously) dazzled in their gorgeous gowns while the boys hung out together on the red carpet.

A 100 episodes is a huge milestone for any TV series as it usually signifies that the show could be syndicated in the future. Here’s to many more Gossip Girl our TV sets soon!

Penn Badgley has had a truly amazing year! He’s been hard at work filming the fifth season of Gossip Girl in addition to landing the role of the late musician Jeff Buckley in the upcoming film Greetings from Tim Buckley. He also costars alongside a slew of stars (Demi Moore, Zachary Levi, Jeremy Irons) in Margin Call, which hit theaters on Oct. 21!

When he’s not hard at work, Penn’s been seen visiting the protestors of Occupy Wall Street or holding hands with rumored girlfriend Zoe Kravitz.

We’re not sure what’s going on here, but it looks like Leighton Meester and and Penn Badgley are having a good day at work!

While shooting a street scene for Gossip Girl, Miss Meester must have hit Penn’s funny bone. The actor busted out into a giggle fit while filming, causing Leighton to crack a wry smile.

Looks like New York’s Upper East Side just got a little less stuffy.

Although Penn is quite the hottie, he’s not shy about admitting his fellow costars are pretty good looking too. In fact, he recently said on Regis and Kelly that his vote would go to Chace Crawford! 

“If there were to be one Gossip guy hunk, I think it probably would be Chace,” he joked.
