What’s in store for the Tina Fey-starring comedy? True 30 Rock fans already know the season premiere of the Emmy-winning show’s fifth season will be a live episode — but there are plenty of other surprises in store for fans. Celebuzz got a chance to chat with writer Robert Carlock and star Jack McBrayer, who plays the lovable Kenneth the Page.

When season four ended this spring the 30 Rock gang was facing a new batch of challenges: Kenneth got fired, Liz was attempting to woo a dreamboat pilot (Matt Damon) and Jack (Alec Baldwin) had just discovered that his girlfriend (Elizabeth Banks) is pregnant.

Robert reveals that Queen Latifah will be having a guest spot in a few episodes this season. “Queen Latifah is playing a congresswoman who has a bullseye on the [NBC-Kabletown] deal,” says Robert, “She and Alec’s character butt heads a little bit.”

Queen Latifah isn’t the only problem that Jack will encounter this season: “Jack gives up drinking in solidarity with his pregnant girlfriend,” says Robert, “He finds it more difficult than he expected and we’ll see how it affect’s Liz’s life.”

Robert also revealed that some of those absurd 30 Rock story lines from seasons past are actually inspired by true events that happened to the cast and crew. Robert says that a fight that Liz and “The Hair” have with a deli owner who wouldn’t accept a $100 bill was actually inspired by a “bonding experience” he had with his wife when they argued with a tool booth operator who wouldn’t accept a large bill.

Jane Krakowski‘s self-absorded character Jenna also has some traits which were inspired by a famous actress. Robert says that Jenna’s infamous fake attention-getting injuries were actually inspired by an actress who would pull similar stunts on the set of a different show. “She’ll go nameless,” says Robert.

Robert and Jack also reveal some tidbits about their upcoming live premiere show. The difficulty, says Robert, is making “it feel like a 30 Rock show when we only have access to three sets.” The show is famous for its multiple locations and flashbacks, which are difficult to maintain for a live show. “We may have other actors play our actors in flashbacks,” says Robert. Jack also says that he is nervous because he doesn’t have the luxury to make “the number of mistakes we make at a usual shoot.”

Luckily, Robert and Jack are both confidant that they have the right cast for a live show. After all, Tina and Tracy Morgan worked at Saturday Night Live for years, Alec hosted the show a number of time, and the rest of the cast all have extensive experience as live performers.

As for the rumors that Alec will be leaving the show after this season, Robert says that they have “no comment” but that Alec’s contract “runs beyond season five” and that Alec is “the best at what he does and we hope that it continues for a long time.”

The fifth season of 30 Rock premieres on September 23 at 8:30 PM on NBC.

This blind item has been floating around for the past week, but no one has been able to pin down who it could be.

While we would like it to be a celebrity that would truly surprise us, it will probably be a glass closet-living gay celebrity or a complete has-been. We are going to be watching glass closet celebrities like Anderson Cooper, Kevin Spacey, and Queen Latifah very closely come Cinco de Mayo.

2. The Baby-faced Creep:

This creeping towards A list movie actor, who looks about 16, is enjoying his new status a lot. This actor would probably never get a date if not for his career. He certainly wouldn’t be able to pass around coke like party favors or get to snort it off the breasts of women like he did last night at a party. (Crazy Days And Nights)

The first two names that come to mind are Michael Cera and Daniel Radcliffe. Although, Michael strikes us more as B-list rather than A-list. Say it ain’t so Harry Potter!

3. The Breast Intentions:

In some relationships, having a baby brings the couple closer. That’s not the case with this celebrity family. While she always appears lovely and pleasant on camera, we hear that behind the scenes the two have been yelling and fighting over everything. Popular topics for their arguments include sleep deprivation and him trying to convince her to stop breast feeding so that she can get a breast lift. (Blind Gossip)

The breast feeding clue means that the celebrity family must have had this kid recently. Heidi Klum and Seal had a child almost 8 months ago, and Heidi definitely comes off as a bubbly, friendly person; however, thinking about Seal forcing Heidi to get a breast lift makes us sad.

Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady also had a baby recently and she has been working hard to get her body back in shape.

Lohan and girlfriend Samantha Ronson showed up to celebrate Latifah’s 39th birthday Saturday night, at a Cover Girl Queen Collection bash at Hollywood’s Club Light.

“Lindsay and Sam came on the late side,” a source tells Celebuzz, “they hung out by the DJ booth [Sam did not spin].”

“They looked happy, joking with one another.”

Another couple unafraid to express their happiness? Paris Hilton and Doug Reinhardt. The pair snuggled on the dance floor while Hilton took photos of Latifah blowing out her candles and performing for the crowd including Harvey Weinstein, Kim Kardashian, Lil Kim, Missy Elliot, Monique Lhuillier, Patricia Field, Quincy Jones and Amanda Bynes.

The Jonas Brothers and Miley Cyrus will be jammin’, tween-style, at the Kids Inaugural: We Are the Future concert set to air Monday evening at 8 p.m. on the Disney Channel. The show will honor military famlies.

Joining the kids will be recent People’s Choice Awards hostess Queen Latifah and Seven Pounds fox Rosario Dawson.

The rapper/actress/model, who’s hosting tonight’s People’s Choice Awards, has also renewed her agreement to serve as Jenny Craig’s celebrity spokesman through 2009, Us Magazine reports.

The 36-year-old multi-hyphenate, born Dana Elaine Owens, has lost 20 pounds on the program, which apparently impressed the Jenny Craig people enough to re-up her.

“We are proud of Queen Latifah’s achievements and are excited to continue the relationship,” announced Scott Parker, Vice President of Marketing for Jenny Craig, on Tuesday. “Queen Latifah embodies the healthy lifestyle principles and character that Jenny Craig stands for and we look forward to another great year.”

Though obviously happy with the arrangement herself, the royal diet shill admits that it’s been a struggle to keep off the extra pounds. “It’s probably portion size,” Latifah told Good Morning America last January. “I eat too much of everything I really love, and occasionally I like to have a nice cocktail.”

But maximum svelteness isn’t really her goal, anyway, Latifah says that she  started the program to ward off diabetes, not fit into a Size 0 dress. “This is not about losing weight. This is about health,”she says. “It’s not an image thing. I’m really content with my body image.”

Well, duh; anyone who’s ever seen her chilling out in Miami already knew that.

The Chicago Oscar nom took to the ocean on an inflatable raft she blew up herself and joined BFF and “personal trainer” Jeanette Jenkins (oh, just come out already, no one cares) in the waves before returning to their towels.

This is but a minor rest in the Queen’s busy career. The babe does everything—acts, raps, sings, looks really butch on a motorcyle, sells you things.

And now, come 2009, you’ll be able to nab the scent of this woman. “For me, beauty really does start on the inside. It’s like a state of mind—a state of love, if you will. So, I see fragrance as just a natural expression of this: Scent expresses a woman’s confidence and sensuality. It’s how she embraces her body, her mind and her strength.”

Quite persuasive, eh? No wonder everyone’s hiring her to push their products. You go, girl!
