We now know (and love) Adam Scott as Ben Wyatt on NBC’s Parks and Recreation, but before he became an adorable leading man, he had quite the unglamorous gig at Johnny Rockets. In the latest issue of Details magazine, he opened up about his (very) short-lived stint at the 1950s themed diner.

So, exactly how long did the Friends With Kids star last?

One day! Adam said:

“I resigned in disgrace from Johnny Rockets after one day. The guy was like, ‘All right, so here’s where the fries are,’ and then this fifties song came on the jukebox and he’s like, ‘Oh, excuse me for a second,’ and ran over to the waiters and busboys and they started singing and doing a little dance. And then he runs back and he’s like, ‘Sorry— every time this song comes on, we all get together and sing!’ And I was like, ‘If you’ll excuse me for a second . . .’ and I left. I was in uniform— a paper hat, the whole thing. Never picked that paycheck up.”

The Vow follows a man as he attempts to reconnect with his wife after she loses her memory in a car accident. As she slowly begins to drift away from him, the husband desperately tries to keep his marriage vow to support her through thick and thin.

Rachel McAdams looks just as in love in real-life as she typically portrays on the big screen. The Vow actress and her Midnight in Paris costar Michael Sheen couldn’t keep their hands off each other as they enjoyed a sunny lunch date in Beverly Hills, Calif. over the weekend.

These two are getting pretty serious as Rachel, 33, revealed to The Sunday Telegraph‘s Stella magazine, about her beau and how they don’t go too long without each other. She told the publication:

“Michael and I never spend more than three weeks apart — we rack up a lot of air miles — but you have to be quite adaptable in this business whether you are in a relationship or not. Trying to establish roots somewhere is a bit of a joke.”

Rachel has been promoting her new movie The Vow with Channing Tatum that hits theaters just in time for Valentine’s Day on Friday, February 10th.

From The Notebook to Time Traveller’s Wife, her movies have made us both laugh and cry. Now, she’s set out to play with our heartstrings once more with The Vow. Also starring Dear John hunk Channing Tatum, the flick follows a man who tries to reconnect with his wife after she loses her memory in a car accident. Don’t worry, we’ll be bringing tissues to the theater too.

The Vow is the lastest Nicolas Sparks book-turned-movie that is sure to get girls (and a few guys) crying. In the film, Paige (Rachel) gets seriously injured in a car accident that causes her to lose her memory, including her recollection of her life with her husband Leo (Channing). In other words, The Vow is basically The Notebook meets Dear John, and we can’t wait! 

Meanwhile, in Rachel’s real-life love life, the actress is dating her Midnight in Paris co-star Michael Sheen (aka Kate Beckinsale‘s ex and baby’s daddy).

When asked if she was aware of RyGos’ Internet fame, including the actor being hailed as a feminist icon with sites like Hey Girl and Feminist Ryan Gosling, Rachel admitted, “Feminist icon? Wow! Rachel will appear in yet another Sparks film next year alongside Dear John actor Channing Tatum. The two star in the book-turned-film The Vow. Earlier this summer, Emma Stone shared the screen with the ineffable Ryan in Crazy, Stupid Love. Lucky for her (and us), Emma’s character had the pleasure of seeing him shirtless. In awe of his body she uttered the classic line, “Seriously?! It’s like you’re Photoshopped!” Emma and Ryan will also star in the upcoming film Gangster Squad.
