Not all the actors from New Moon attended the star-studded Los Angeles premiere last night.

Rachelle LeFevre, who plays the evil Victoria in Vampire flick, was noticeably absent from the festivities.

Which isn’t all that surprising, seeing that she was very publicly fired from the upcoming third film, Eclipse, and replaced with another hot redhead, Bryce Dallas Howard.

But she did have good reason to skip the carpet and premiere—unfortunately, her dog Honey is sick!

She tweeted to her followers,

“2 fans at the premiere: w/ Honey in hospital & being fired from Eclipse tonight was just 2 emotional 4 me & I couldn’t manage it. So sorry.”

Poor girl!

Rachelle Lefevre is making lemonade out of the lemons that show-biz has handed her.

The Twilight actress—who was replaced by Bryce Dallas Howard in the role of Victoria for the upcoming Twilight sequel Eclipse—spoke to Access Hollywood at the EW pre-Emmys in West Hollywood. Though Lefevre admits that being replaced was “devastating,” she’s moving on.

Rachelle says that she’s even learned to use the experience in her upcoming projects:

“[The firing was] the kind of thing that, obviously, you can’t anticipate in a career. It was devastating. I didn’t see it coming. But to be honest, going off and getting to do Barney’s Version with Paul Giamatti was such a beautiful experience. And I got to play a character who’s really emotionally unhinged. So I got to  channel all my sadness and devastation into this character. It was a good place to land.”

That’s the spirit, Rachelle!

Over the weekend at Twi-Con, Twilight stars Jackson Rathbone and Peter Facinelli offered their warm thoughts about Rachelle Lefevre, who’s being replaced by Bryce Dallas Howard in the role of Victoria for Twilight sequel Eclipse, which begins filming in Vancouver this month.

Quizzed on the departure of Lefevre, Rathbone noted, “Rachelle’s a dear friend; we’re gonna miss her terribly,” adding that Lefevre is “an amazing actress and an amazing woman.”

Asked whether he would want to collaborate with her in the future, Rathbone asserted, “I would love to work with Rachelle again.”

Facinelli, meanwhile, seemed willing to make nice with new castmate Howard, even as he acknowledged that he’s “deeply saddened” by Lefevre’s exit from the movie series.

“I love [Lefevre] like a sister; it deeply saddens me,” Facinelli offered, reports MTV.com. “But you know, the show must go on. We’re going to embrace Bryce Dallas Howard—and I hope that the fans do, too.”

That’s probably easier said than done.

Summit Entertainment has fired the latest volley in the brouhaha over Rachelle Lefevre‘s ousting from the Twilight sequel Eclipse.

E! Online reports that the company claims Lefevre—who was replaced by Bryce Dallas Howard in the role of Victoria on Tuesday—displayed a “lack of cooperative spirit” with the company.

In its initial statement on Lefevre’s firing, Summit cited a scheduling conflict between Eclipse, which begins filming in August, and Barney’s Version, an independent project that Lefevre had signed on to act in.

“It was not until July 20th that Summit was first informed of Ms. Lefevre’s commitment to Barney’s Version, a commitment we have since been advised she accepted in early June,” a statement from Summit reads. “Summit had acted in good faith that she would be available to fulfill her obligations both in terms of rehearsals and shooting availability for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. We feel that her choice to withhold her scheduling conflict information from us can be viewed as a lack of cooperative spirit which affected the entire production.”

On Wednesday, Lefevre announced that she was “stunned” and “greatly saddened” by Summit’s decision to let her go, saying that it was possible for her to participate in both movies.

“Never did I fathom I would lose the role over a 10-day overlap,” Lefevre said.

Twi-hards were absolutely stunned to hear the sudden and shocking news about Rachelle Lefevre‘s departure from the upcoming Twilight sequel Eclipse.

Late last night, Summit Entertainment anounced that Lefevre would be replaced by Bryce Dallas Howard as Vampire Victoria in the third film, which starts filming in August.

Now, Lefevre has given a statement to E! expressing her dissapoinment over what really happened:

“I was stunned by Summit’s decision to recast the role of Victoria for Eclipse. I was fully committed to the Twilight saga, and to the portrayal of Victoria. I turned down several other film opportunities and, in accordance with my contractual rights, accepted only roles that would involve very short shooting schedules.

My commitment to Barney’s Version is only 10 days. Summit picked up my option for Eclipse. Although the production schedule for Eclipse is over three months long, Summit said they had a conflict during those 10 days and would not accommodate me. Given the length of filming for Eclipse, never did I fathom I would lose the role over a 10-day overlap. I was happy with my contract with Summit and was fully prepared to continue to honor it. Summit chose simply to recast the part.

I am greatly saddened that I will not get to complete my portrayal of Victoria for the Twilight audience. This is a story, a theatrical journey and a character that I truly love and about which I am very passionate. I will be forever grateful to the fan support and loyalty I’ve received since being cast for this role, and I am hurt deeply by Summit’s surprising decision to move on without me. I wish the cast and crew of Eclipse only the very best.”

Major Eclipse casting shake-up!

People magazine reports that Bryce Dallas Howard is replacing Rachelle LeFevre as vampire Victoria in the third installment of the Twilight saga, which is due to begin filming in August.

Summit Entertainment says that LeFevre has bowed out due to scheduling conflicts—her upcoming independent film, Barney’s Version, which also stars Dustin Hoffman, is due to begin filming on the same day as Eclipse.

Somebody maybe should have thought of that earlier?

Be prepared to see Rachelle LeFevre get really high in New Moon.

The actress—who plays Victoria in the Twilight vampire film saga—reveals to Hit Fix that director Chris Weitz really ramped up her stunt work for the sequel, and it brought her to lofty heights indeed.

“I’m all in a harness. I’m 25 feet up most days,” LeFevre—who admits that she’s scared of heights—reveals. “There’s leaping off trees to the ground. There’s leaping up in the air from trees to other trees. I was about 40 feet up just hanging out looking like I was just kind of standing there.”

LeFevre adds that some of the scenes from the New Moon book have been expanded for the cinematic version. Such as her contact with werewolves.

“There’s like sort of a chase thing,” LeFevre spills. “In New Moon you know how Victoria is trying to penetrate to get into Bella and the wolves are protecting her and [in the book] they talked about how they chased Victoria here so you’re going to see [that play out onscreen].”

LeFevre further notes that the underwater scene has been expanded from the page to better fit the big screen.

“It’s just a little more because it has to be visual because you can’t just do pages of description of Bella’s feeling of impending doom and the flash in the water,” LeFevre offers. “So, they’re actually going to show a little more of my trying to get to her in the water.”

And just how close does Victoria get to Bella?

“Put it this way, not close enough that…she lives, so not close enough,” says LeFevre.

When last we saw Twilight redhead Rachelle Lafevre, she was shopping up a storm with her little sister.

But on Tuesday, she was making time with an older—and much more male—companion.

This dude outside her hotel in Vancouver—where Lefevre  is currently filming the Twilight sequel New Moon—must have laid a pretty good vampire joke on Rachelle, because she was laughing up a storm during their exchange. The pair even got  a little touchy-feely.

Looks like Rachelle Lefevre is taking a bite out of Vancouver’s shopping scene.

The 30-year-old actress, who plays redheaded vamp Victoria in the Twilight movie series, took a break from filming New Moon on Friday to hit the stores. Joining Rachelle for the retail onslaught was her little sister.

Nice to see Lefevre getting some quality time with the fam. Given the seriously distressed state of Rachelle’s jeans, maybe she went shopping for some new pants?

Several New Moon cast members took a jaunt down from Vancouver to surprise loyal fans in Los Angeles, turning up at Robertson Blvd boutique Kitson to celebrate the DVD release of Twilight.

Kellan Lutz, Ashley Greene and Rachelle Lefevre showed to the shop, hamming it up for cameras and fans.

The actors had no time to grab any gear, however. Ashley scooted over to Hollywood’s Hot Topic, where hours later she surprised another crowd clamoring for the vampire flick.

Levfevre hopped a plane to Salt Lake City, Ut. to do the same.
