Ricki recently told Celebuzz that she and hubby Christian Evans (who she eloped with in a private ceremony in April) are not planning to have any more kids, saying “We have made that decision … We went down the road of discussing it.”

Ricki, who has two children –Milo, 15, and Owen, 10 — from a previous marriage, added:

When you fall in love, the fantasy of making a baby and all that is definitely appealing. But I also love this phase of my life, where my children are 15 and almost 11. It’s really nice to have some freedom to be able to go away and have a balance of a fun kind of life with your husband and also with growing children.

Now that married life is starting to settle in, Ricki, 43, has a long future to look forward to with Christian, 40, whom she recently referred to as her “soul mate.” But does that future include more children for Ricki? In a word: No.

“We are not gonna have more kids. We have made that decision,” she told Celebuzz exclusively on Wednesday, while promoting her new memoir, Never Say Never: Finding a Life That Fits.

Ricki and Christian eloped on Sunday, April 8, in a ceremony so small, the only two guests were the couple’s dogs. Still, despite the small guest list, Ricki says she wants to celebrate her second marriage on a grander scale down the road.

“I definitely want to celebrate … because I know there were a lot of people disappointed that they weren’t able to take part in it. We definitely will do that. Maybe we’ll renew our vows or something. I don’t know. Like I said in my book, ‘Never say never!’ [Laughs] I’m open to it all.”

Ricki, who has a brand-new talk show in the pipeline, recently won over a whole new audience on Dancing With the Stars, on which she placed third. But despite her solid moves alongside partner Derek Hough on the ballroom floor, Ricki says she and Christian did not have a first dance at their wedding.

“We didn’t do a dance,” she told Celebuzz. “We played music. Certainly, it was really romantic. He made a playlist for us — during the course of our relationship, songs that meant something to us, that meant something to my children; my children helped him in coming up with the playlist. It was really very personal. But we did not get to do a dance.”

“Derek promised me that he would teach Christian a dance. So, someday we’ll do that. Maybe at our anniversary party!” she said.

Former talk show host Ricki Lake and Christian Evans eloped on Sunday in a “secret ceremony” in Southern California, PEOPLE is reporting.

The 43-year-old, who most recently appeared on last season of Dancing With the Stars, naturally gushed over the event, telling PEOPLE: “It was a beautiful moment I will never forget. I wasn’t anxious or nervous. I was really relaxed and excited.

“It just feels like he was the right one all along,” added Lake, of her 40-year-old hubby.

Ricki, who had been dating Evans for about 18 months before they eloped, was previously married to artist Rob Sussman before they split in 2003. They had two children together: Milo, 15, and Owen, 10.

Ricki, who is currently developing a new talk show for the fall, finished in third-place on Dancing with the Stars, with partner Derek Hough.

The new cast of Dancing with the Stars will be announced Tuesday, February 27, on Good Morning America. 

In this impromptu video, Ricki Lake introduces us to her “last born” — Jeffie, her adorable goldendoodle. Take a look as the talk show host invites her Facebook friends to a “Backstage Bark” with one of her most camera-shy guests, and shares the charming story of how Jeffie was introduced into her family.

The talk-show host and actress  is gearing up to make her triumphant return to daytime television!

Starting in September,  Ricki will be back on the air in an all-new incarnation of her hugely successful talk show, The Ricki Lake Show.

Tensions were high tonight as Rob Kardashian, Ricki Lake, and J.R. Martinez hit the dance floor for the season’s final dance episode. With the champion trophy within reach, the three remaining dancers gave it their all before tomorrow night’s elimination show. So how did the finalists fare?

Rob had a shaky start but ended up dazzling the judges with his first dance — the waltz. The judges awarded the TV personality 27/30 for his performance.

“You were flowing and you were glowing,” judge Bruno Tonioli commented. ”You just messed up some of the footwork of the crossovers … but otherwise, you were very very good.”

With the entire Kardashian clan in the audience to cheer him on, Rob continued his lucky streak with his second routine. Dancing to “Minnie the Moocher” to Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, Rob once again impressed the judges.

“A moocher is someone who takes and never gives,” Len Goodman told the contestant, “Rob, you just gave your all!”

Rob received his first perfect score in the competition (30/30) for his freestyle dance.

Meanwhile, Ricki also did fairly well on tonight’s episode. She wowed the crowd with performance of the Cha-Cha-Cha to Chris Brown‘s “Yeah X3″. Her routine not only got the judges saying “YEAH!”, but they were so pleased that they awarded her 27/30 for the dance. Judge Len was especially impressed with her routine:

“Hips were working fluidly … it’s a dance deserving of the finals!”

Ricki continued to stun the judges with her second routine. The talk show host scored yet another 27/30 for her freestyle performance (a combination of the quickstep and salsa). 

“You lost it a little bit in the quickstep section,” Len commented, “but overall, what a great number!”

However, J.R. had a tough time pleasing the judges with his first dance. He also had to perform the Cha-Cha-Cha but, unlike Ricki, failed to bring the sizzle to the dance floor. The judges gave him 24/30.

“Tonight your musicality was a bit off,” said Carrie Ann Inaba. “You’ve got three more dances. I know you’ve got it in you!”

And boy, did J.R. pull through for his second dance! The army veteran wrapped up the episode’s final dance with a stunning performance. The routine, which included multiple lifts and finished with the dancers on a lighted pedestal, had the judges going crazy for more.

“Wild, exuberant with animal physicality,” Bruno excitedly gushed, “Yes, period. Brilliant! What a comeback!”

The judges awarded J.R. a perfect score of 30/30 for the season’s final dance before the elimination episode.

In a video posted on her Facebook page, the Dancing with the Stars finalist says she will return in September 2012 with a new show that promises to reveal more about Ricki than ever before.  

“Many of you grew up with me,” she says. “I hope you’ll stay in touch with me. We’ll learn about each other, and I’m so looking forward to getting back on the air with a show that you guys are needing to see.”

Ricki — who was only 25 when her original talk show began — was able to tap into a much younger audience than many of her talk-show counterparts during her eleven year run. 

Now she’s a mother of two and 43. Much has changed (except our love for Ricki) so the new series will have many new topics to discuss. 

While it may be a very different show, here’s hoping the audience keeps chanting “Go Ricki!” during the opening credits. That was the best.

The couples will start the night off with the Argentine Tango, followed by either a Samba or a Paso Doble (whichever they have not yet competed in) and end the night with the tradional Cha Cha Cha relay which they will be ranked by the judges and each dancing to the very same song!

The final four range from top-spot regular, JR  to lowest scoring contestant, Hope, who has faced highs and lows this season. In week six, Hope and her partner, Maskim Chmerkovskiy danced their “worst dance of the season” and Maks fired back saying it’s time for judge Len Goodman to “get out” of the business. When Maks found out a third dance was added to this week’s lineup, he wasn’t exactly pleased with that either. The pro took to his blog, saying:

“It’s a shock to not just the celebrities, but the pros too. At this stage of the game, we’re all exhausted. This is when our bodies start shutting down and we get sick, so to have three dances, it’s very, very tough. I know they want more content because they want a longer broadcast, but this is the last thing any of us needs. You would have a better show if it was shorter with few dances. It’s about quality, not quantity, right?”

In the middle of the pack lands Rob and Ricki, who tend to find themselves just points short of the top spot. Ricki has been hard at work on following up her groundbreaking documentary The Business of Being Born with a four-part film series that continues their provocative and entertaining exploration of the modern maternity care system.

Ricki took the time to check in from her trailer at Dancing With The Stars to talk about why this film is so important to her and how it felt to receive such an outpouring of celebrity support, including Alanis Morissette!  

Other celebs featured in the film series include Gisele Bundchen, Christy Turlington-Burns, Cindy Crawford, Molly Ringwald, Laila Ali, Kimberly Williams-Paisley and Melissa Joan Hart.

Lake had a dream of communities coming together to help bring awareness to birthing tragedies. She teamed up with Abby Epstein for the acclaimed documentary, The Business of Being Born, which explores the experience of childbirth in the United States. Now they’re expanding the topic with a series of four more follow up documentaries called  More Business of Being Born. 

“Women should feel empowered while giving birth,” Ricki tells Celebuzz. “They should have a healthy baby as well as a healthy birth and if they can be empowered by their experience then they can take on the world.” 

“If they have a more positive child birth,” she adds, “then their experience will be something that will stay with them for the rest of their lives.”

Each documentary in the upcoming series gives women the chance to open up about their birthing experience and ask questions. Both Ricki and Abby do their best to answer questions they may have.

There’s a method to every madness. So, what’s Ricki’s method behind The Business of Being Born and More Business of Being Born?

She says that September 11th was a major turning point in her life, as she actually watched the planes hit the Twin Towers with her 4-year-old son next to her.

“As I watched the world change before my eyes I asked myself, what do I want my legacy to be? And Business of Being Born was how I wanted to be remembered,” she says.

In the upcoming series, celebrity moms such as Gisele Bundchen and Alanis Morissette turn to Lake for guidance when it came to their home births. Gisele and husband Tom Brady delivered their baby in water, while Alanis gave birth in the comfort of her own home.

We know you’ve been involved with the Kickstarter campaign, but what exactly is kickstarter?
It’s a platform in which film makers and artists can venture on their own and raise funds (or donations) to reach a goal and in return they get rewards.

People have noticed that you recently amped your social media presence by joining twitter and blogging. What made you want to join the social media world?
I have always loved social media. With all the projects that I have been involved with, it’s a good way to let people know [what I'm up to].

What can fans expect to learn from you on your new talk show coming in September 2012?
My take is that I’m in your shoes. I’m just wanting to learn and grow, and I think I want to do that with my audience and in front of the camera again.

Don’t mince words now, Ricki.

Lake, well-known for her star-making turn as the original Tracey Turnbald in the non-musical version of Hairspray and her infamous talk show which ran from 1993 to 2004, weighed close to 270 pounds during much of her life.

How did the mother of two (sons Milo, 11, and Owen, 6) shed 140 lbs?

“I didn’t have surgery and I worked hard. There’s no secret. I’m active. I watch what I eat,” Lake says.

But she still feels like her new size small frame doesn’t cut it in show business.

“According to Hollywood standards, I’m not a thin girl. I’m a normal girl,” Ricki notes. “I don’t want to perpetuate that obsession but yet I am also guilty of wanting … to lose weight.”

Lake now works on producing and directing documentaries about childbirth (The Business of Being Born in 2007 and a sequel on the way), and is coming out with a guide to pregnancy in May.
