In a new interview with The Advocate, Rose admits she has a bit of a crush on her Conan costar Jason Momoa! Can you blame her?! The actress, who plays a powerful witch called Marique, explains:

“Jason’s ass is epic. When I saw his backside naked, I was like, Oh, my. He’s got a beautiful body, because it’s not all Mr. Steroid. He looks raw and masculine.”

There is quite a bit of exposed skin in the upcoming movie (clothes were apparently scarce in olden times), which allowed Rose to get quite an eyeful.

“Jason’s ass is epic,” she says unabashedly. “When I saw his backside naked, I was like, Oh, my. He’s got a beautiful body, because it’s not all Mr. Steroid. He looks raw and masculine.”

That seems to be just her type! “I like people who are fit,” she adds. “I figure if I work out, you can at least return the favor. Would I go out with a meathead? No”

After false claims that the British beauty was passed over for the role of a lifetime—to play the “sexy heroine Barbarella”—in favor of Rose McGowan, Beckinsale fought back in court and sued Richard Desmond‘s Express Newspapers for libel. On Thursday, a high court ruled that the paper pay Beckinsale approximately $32,000 and apologize to the actress.

In an article published on June 5, the Daily Express claimed that missing out on the role had thrown Beckinsale into emotional turmoil, claiming that she was “facing heartbreak after it emerged she is set to miss out on her dream role.” And just to rub it in, the article added, “the film is expected to be a big commercial hit so it will be a real blow to Kate.”

However, as it turns out, Beckinsale was never up for the role—making it very difficult for her to get passed over in favor of McGowan, let alone be upset over it.

Beckinsale’s solicitor, Graham Atkins, told Mr. Justice Eady that the accusations damaged her status and were very harmful to her career.

“This article wrongly gave the impression that the claimant’s career is in decline, which would undoubtedly have a knock-on effect on those who would be casting film roles, as well as the industry as a whole,” explained Atkins.

Ian Helme, attorney for Express Newspapers, said his client “is happy to pay damages and legal fees, as well as undertaking never to repeat the allegations. It hopes that by making this statement and apologizing in the Daily Express and online, the record will have been set straight and the claimant’s reputation restored.”

Good thing Kate has all this money to help “restore” her reputation!

The 35-year-old Grindhouse actress hit up Guy’s Nightclub showing a lot of leg and, more perplexing, wearing a bright-orange mask.

Maybe she got confused and thought the place was called Disguise nightclub?

Or it could be that she’s trying to avoid detection from her boyfriend Robert Rodriguez‘s ex-wife, Elizabeth Avellán.

Either way, the mask is a more becoming accessory than the wrist brace she was last seen in.

Rose seems to be missing an important accessory—her engagement ring.

McGowan is the former star of TV’s Charmed and the muse-y actress who caused Grindhouse director Robert Rodriguez to leave his wife and propose. Rose was assumed to have recently healed a rift with Rodriguez and put their off-again engagement back on.

She even announced her impending wedding at the Hollywood Style Awards.

Dig up that ring, lady. Before their LAST break-up, Rose was set to star in three new projects for Rodriguez—Barbarella, Red Sonja and a fresh TV version of Woman in Chains!

The Grindhouse star was spotted hitting up a Beverly Hills Starbucks yesterday, sporting a wrist brace that was the “wrong size,” she told photographers.

McGowan didn’t elaborate on the source of her injury. Luckily there’s such a thing as baseless speculation. Did Rose mess up her wrist:

• Busting up director Robert Rodriguez‘s marriage?

• Breaking her fall as her career plummets? or

• Fighting off the sex-starved masses of Comic-Con 2008 after nearly giving them an upskirt peek?

Enter Rose McGowan, who braved the geeky waters at this year’s gathering to promote her upcoming movie, a big-screen adaptation of comic book Red Sonja.

Rose not only offered a glimpse into the future production, she also offered a generous look at her milky flesh.

And there’s nothing comical about that.

Page Six reports that, since the two recently called it quits, three upcoming Rodriguez flicks—a remake of ’60s cult classic Barbarella, Red Sonja and Woman in Chains!—that McGowan had planned to star in may now feature other actresses.

A case of payback by a jilted man? Not really. Industry sources say it’s a matter of box-office math. After the McGowan-starring Grindhouse raked in a dismal $25.4 million domestically, Rodriguez apparently couldn’t find financing for Barbarella with McGowan as the lead.

“Too bad Grindhouse didn’t gross $100 million. Then, maybe, Barbarella would have gotten the green light,” says one source. “Instead, the moguls were saying, ‘We need a bigger star, a bigger name.’ “

Word is Jessica Alba may replace McGowan in the sexpot role, which was made famous by Jane Fonda.

Great! So Ro-Ro will get to make his movie, the world will get to see Jessica in a skintight space-girl outfit and Rose will become such tainted goods that she may have to seek roles in the San Fernando Valley to pay the rent.

Now, that‘s a Hollywood ending!
