Rosie O’Donnell has some new digs.

Real Estalker is reporting that the 50-year-old former talk show host has purchased an apartment in New York City’s Greenwich Village for a whopping $8 million.

What kind of accommodations does it boast?

The 3,202-square-foot abode, which is housed in a building that was converted from St. Vincent’s Catholic Medical Center complex, has four bedrooms and three bathrooms. There is also a private 435-square-foot terrace.

It looks like O’Donnell, whose talk show on Oprah Winfrey‘s OWN Network was cancelled earlier this year, traded in another home for the new space: back in April, she put her Miami Beach mega mansion on the market for $19.5 million.

The new home may seem spacious, but it might be a tight squeeze for O’Donnell, her four children, and her fiancee, Michelle Rounds. The two announced their engagement back in December, after making their debut as a couple last September.

After several months of radio silence, Rosie O’Donnell has spoken out on her vow of blog silence, which she took earlier this month.

The 46-year-old, once prolific with poetry and multimedia pieces on her official site, caught up with People Magazine last night in New York to discuss the end of her online musings.

“It got so commonplace, it was kind of being used on entertainment shows as edited pieces,” Rosie said of her posts. “I was like, ‘It’s not worth it.’”

O’Donnell said that she’ll instead focus on driving attention to her charitable efforts, like her Rosie’s Broadway Kids, which affords access to the arts for youth.

“[Blogging] wasn’t providing the joy that it used to,” O’Donnell said.

Though she may not be on hand for a haiku, don’t count her completely out. O’Donnell has already blogged the very story of her blogging departure.

Though they no longer work together, former View cohorts Barabara Walters, 79, and Rosie O’Donnell, 48, just can’t stop taking pot-shots at each other.

Taking a break from the in-fighting of the show’s current panel, Walters devoted part of Thursday’s broadcast to a jab at O’Donnell—who left the show in 2007 under less-than-amicable terms.

Walters lambasted certain former View co-hosts who “feel they have to dump on [the show], maybe for their own publicity.”

Imploring the unnamed target to “get on with your life,” Walters refers to her subject only as “lady.”

That was evidence enough for O’Donnell, who did what she does best—she blogged about it Friday.

Despite the various reports that John McCain/Sarah Palin supporter Elisabeth Hasselbeck is leaving The View—possibly for a position with Fox News—it now seems Beth’s sitting put with Barbara Walters and the gals.

This kind of drama hasn’t been witnessed with the View dames since Rosie O’Donnell tusselled with the blonde Republican then rolled from the show.

Hasselbeck’s agent released a statement yesterday regarding the matter, reports Us.

“While Elisabeth [Hasselbeck] has a great relationship with Fox News, there is absolutely no truth to the rumor that she is leaving The View. Elisabeth is passionate in her beliefs and enjoys being a part of this dynamic group of women and engaging in daily conversations.”

Elisabeth had better develop a thicker skin, though. Her talking cohorts aren’t the only ones ganging up on the GOP ticket these days.

Fran Drescher says that she will be teaming with Rosie O’Donnell in a new situation comedy with the working title of The New Thirty. Fran and Rosie will play old high school friends who are “middle-aged women on the verge of a midlife crisis” who live in the same Manhattan building. The comedy is currently “in development.” Probably because the unnamed network considering the project is wondering if airing it will send people leaping out of windows to the blessed release of the pavement below.

“I love Rosie and I’ve known her for many, many years,” says Fran. “I’d trust her with my life and with my business!” Jesus, it’s a sitcom, not a transplant operation.

Fran, who spoke about the concert at a Friar’s Club luncheon honoring her work with her Cancer Schmancer organization, compared the show to two other famous ones.

“It’s kind of Sex and the City but we ain’t getting any! It’ll probably be more like The Odd Couple; I’ll be Oscar and she’ll be Felix,” she said. That will be interesting because Rosie isn’t exactly a slim, fastidious, uptight sort of individual.

This writer once met Rosie on her big gay cruise. She walks around drunk in spandex biker shorts, sporting tattoos with her hair askew. If she pulls this off, it’s Emmy time.

Amid rumors that she’s on the show for the long haul, Rosie O’Donnell joined the coffee klatsch that is the Today Show’s fourth interminable hour, wherein the focus is on the light and airy. Not sure light and airy are two things that emanate from Rosie, but the show get points for trying.

Pushed on Barbara Walters‘ comments in her new memoir, Audition, that calls her “a great talent with emotional issues,” O’Donnell kept it atypically under wraps. “Some people confuse passion for rage. I have a lot of passion about things I believe in.”

Citing the Trump lashing and the Elisabeth Hasselbeck blowup that precipitated her departure, O’Donnell feels she “forced Barbara to be more emotional than she’s comfortable with.”

Nice way of saying she goosed the golden egg but good.

Knew this one would steamroll quickly. On the heels of a Globe report and the cover headline “Abusive Rosie Bullies Son, 12,” Rosie O’Donnell‘s rep has lashed out, saying, “The story is absolutely ludicrous and ridiculous. There is no truth to it whatsoever.”

The piece goes on to say she’s likely subjecting her other kids, Chelsea, 10, Blake, 8, and Vivi, to psychological damage by launching into their brother in front of them.

Rosie has devoted her post-TV life to child-centered charity orgs, starting Rosie’s For All Kids for little ones born into poverty and Rosie’s Broadway Kids to increase arts education in the schools.

As a contributor to wife Kelli O’Donnell‘s R Family Vacations cruise line, for gay families and the folks who love them, she takes the time to stop and chat with every single young’un in sight.

No one would argue that Rosie has a temper, but manhandling her adopted firstborn, Parker Jaren, the one who, she never hesitates to reveal, changed her world from black and white to color? No way.

As of this writing, still no statement from the erstwhile Queen of Nice on her haiku-laden blog, but this is not a lady who holds back.

Watch for her to let fly then expect either a retraction or a lawsuit.
