The home where Katy Perry and Russell Brand hoped to raise a family is on the market… and the lucky new owner will have to come with some seriously deep pockets.

The Firework singer has put their former L.A. abode as husband and wife up for sale for a whopping $6.925 million, which they bought shortly before their split for $6.5M.

So if they get the asking price, that’s a cool $425,000 profit.

Now, nine months after Perry, 28, finalized her divorce from the British actor, 37, after 14 months as man and wife, she’s on the look out for new digs.

According to Zillow, the couple bought the stunning 1920’s style mansion in June 2011. The charming two-story home sits on three acres of land near celebrity hotspot Chateau Marmont.

Inside, the 8,835 square-foot property boasts exquisite details, from stained-glass windows to a sweeping staircase and arched doorways, which lead seven bedrooms and nine bathrooms plus a huge, four-room master suite, two guest suites, and staff quarters.

There’s also a large living room with a small balcony that looks out onto the Hollywood Hills, as well as a huge open kitchen and a low-ceiling dining room for entertaining.

Perry, who recently split with singer John Mayer, 35, is currently putting the finishing touches to a new album which she plans to release this summer.

Meat is so passé. At least in Hollywood.

More A-listers than ever are sticking to strict vegan or vegetarian diets — and being kinder to animals in general. Among them: Jessica Chastain, Russell Brand, Kristen Bell and Kristen Wiig.

“I don’t want to torture anything — it’s about trying to live a life where I’m not contributing to the cruelty in the world,” Chastain said after being named one of PETA’s sexiest vegetarians. “While I am on this planet, I want everyone I meet to know that I am grateful they are here.”

Chastain’s new menu options have also had an unexpected, positive effect on her waistline.

“I used to think about dieting,” she told Harper’s Bazaar in August 2012, “but I’m vegan now, so it’s not really a problem.”

Hollywood’s hottest couple, John Mayer and Katy Perry, have taken their carefree romance to Hawaii.

Sans make-up and looking like she did not have a worry in the world, 28-year-old Perry donned a tribal-print outfit and orange handkerchief draped around her neck as she posed for a series of candid shots with her new man, who took her off-roading at Kauai ATV Tours on New Year’s Day.

How romantic!

The pair has been especially loved up since the holidays.

Perry and Mayer visited a children’s hospital in her hometown of Santa Barbara, Calif. over Christmas — on behalf of the Dream Foundation, an organization that makes dreams come true for adults facing life-threatening illness.

The two also spent Christmas day with Perry’s family and even got into the holiday spirit with some costumes.

Perry posted a photo of Mayer, 35, dressed as Santa Claus on her Twitter with the caption, “Santa Baby.”

This isn’t the first time Perry has been spotted in Hawaii; soon after she split from her then-husband Russell Brand, Perry was snapped in a bikini frolicking in the ocean.

Russell Brand has been in the headlines this year, mostly thanks to his highly publicized split from Katy Perry. Last week, the 37-year-old funny man and his ex-wife were spotted at the same Lakers game — though in separate sections.

In just over one week, Brand will be making new headlines: professionally.

Starting Nov. 13, fans of the comedian can start downloading What About Dick online. The show was filmed over four sold-out nights in Los Angeles back in the spring, alongside comedy greats like Eric Idle and Eddie Izzard.

Brand, who plays the titular Dick, recently spoke to Celebuzz about the comedy event, yoga and whether or not he’s dating a Spice Girl.

Celebuzz: Pretend I’m a movie executive. Pitch What About Dick to me.

Russell Brand: You’re an executive? Well firstly I’d undermine you so that you don’t feel too cocky. I’d make you bear in mind that you’re absolutely expendable, that your time in power is transitory, then I’d tell you about this thing which is a good old fashioned knockabout show. The reason I done it is because it’s got the best comedians around. Billy Connolly, amazing, isn’t he? I’ve just been in a room with him and I’m still tingling from his touch. Eric Idle, professional academic of comedy, Eddie Izzard who I adored growing up, Jane Leeves who was Daphne in Fraser for God’s sake, Tracy Ullman, amazing virtuoso performer, Jim Piddock of Christopher Guest fame and there’s some bird named Sophie Winkleman who I think the whole thing could’ve lived without.

CB: Didn’t she marry into the royal family? (She married Lord Federick Windsor, son of the Queen’s cousin).

RB: Well that makes sense. Now I understand how she gets work because I’ll tell you what, it’s not on merit.

CB: Did you feel like a young whippersnapper?

RB: Yeah I did a bit and it was nice to have that role. Billy Connolly gave me advice. I was able to watch them. It was beautiful, it was one of the best experiences of my life.

CB: What advice did he give you?

RB: It’s not advice really. Perhaps it’s not the right word. He set an example. How he works, the spirit of his behavior. You forget don’t’ you? Because you talk to people like they’re normal. I suppose most everyone is normal but they’ve got that gear change, somebody like Billy Connolly. He’ll say something and you’ll think, “Bilmey that’s a brilliant observation,” and you’ll go, “Oh no that’s Billy Connolly” and it happens with brilliant people al the time. If you’re with someone who’s a brilliant musician and then they’ll sing and you’ll go, “Oh f**k they can do that thing.”

CB: I think you’re a bit brilliant.

RB: That’s very kind of you, thank you.

CB: I do. I read both your books. I’m not just blowing smoke up your arse.

RB: That’s nice that expression isn’t it? I’ve never actually had anyone do it but I bet it feels really nice, their lips against your anus, get your anus so relaxed that they can blow smoke into it. It would probably be a really nice feeling.

CB: Are you going to be trying that at around 11 tonight?

RB: I don’t know, for a start I don’t allow smoke in my home so I don’t know how we’re going to get the smoke from.

CB: Was that basketball game uncomfortable? (Last week, Brand attended the same game as his ex Katy Perry).

RB: What basketball game? I don’t know what you’re talking about.

CB: So who are you dating? A Spice Girl?

RB: What the hell are you on about?

CB: Just having fun.

RB: There’s a difference between fun and the senseless and deliberate lowering of the consciousness of the planet talking about spurious gossip!

CB: Well I really hope you find a nice girl and settle down.

RB: That’s a lovely thing to hope for, thank you.

CB: Someone not in the business.

RB: Thanks for your bloody advice!

CB: I know you do a lot of yoga. Are you very bendy?

RB: Spiritually I am very pliant and pliable.

After celebrating beau John Mayer‘s 35th birthday last week, it’s the pop star’s turn to celebrate her bday.

Twenty-seven proved to be a whirlwind year for the pop star, filled with lots of personal, professional and fashion changes, but Perry seems to be turning over a new leaf as she turns 28.

After splitting from Russell Brand, she rekindled her on-again-off-again romance with John Mayer in time for her (and his 35th!) birthday.

Professionally, she’s had multiple chart-topping singles from her Teenage Dream album, and released her first movie Katy Perry: Part of Me.

Russell Brand has confessed he has a thing for soccer stud David Beckham. And then some.

“David Beckham is a god,” the 37-year-old funnyman said at a Los Angeles gig. “Just look at him in those underwear ads. I’m not gay, but I would eat food off his body.”

Just two months after his divorce from Katy Perry was finalized, Russell Brand is still rationalizing the pair’s parting of ways.

Though their whirlwind romance landed them as husband and wife in just over a year’s time, the couple’s 14-month marriage only revealed their true discordance.

“Sometimes it goes well, sometimes it don’t,” Brand candidly explained to Australia’s 60 Minutes. “But if you sort of sense there’s an incompatibility, then in any relationship regardless of the status of the individual, it kind of is best to go separate ways.”

So does the British funnyman believe mates must be akin to each other?

“I don’t know really, because I sort of find so many different people interesting,” Brand reasoned. “I think if you’re someone who’s really into mountain biking, it would be good to go out with someone else who’s into mountain biking, and if you’re really into Eastern mysticism, go out with someone else who into Eastern mysticism.”

Drastic dissimilarities, Brand added, could spell disaster for a couple. “I think if you’re a devoted tennis professional and you get married to a crystal meth addict, you might have trouble,” he said. “I’ve been in a lot of trouble.”

And that includes his past heroin addiction. “It’s a very comforting thing to be able to take drugs, and it’s irrational,” Brand explained. “Most people that are addicted to drugs are doing it for medicinal reasons because they’re all sad inside.” But Brand eventually dug himself out of his drug hell, saying it simply “stopped working. You know…it only works for a little while.”

Though he’s successfully rehabilitated, there’s a lingering “pang,” he admits, “because it was a good friend. You don’t think, ‘That was the thing that destroyed my life and got me into a lot of trouble.’ You sort of just remember that sort of warm, snug glow.”

So what keeps Brand on the straight and narrow? Comedy. “It’s the most important thing to me,” he said. “I think it formed a barrier between me and the unbearable pain of being alive, both watching it and doing it.”

And while sometimes acting pays the bills, is just “a job” to Brand. “I like it, it’s really nice, you get to work with nice people,” he said. “But comedy is what I do.”

Welcome to the wonderful, wacky world of Russell Brand – where an average interview turns into high-speed hijinks, and on-set crashes land you a job with Ashton Kutcher.

The funnyman recently sat down with the Australian version of 60 Minutes to promote his comedy tour — which makes its way Down Under later this fall —  and things quickly went off track. Literally.

“We were on the set at Warner Brothers in his office, and we decided it would be fun to go on a golf cart with our reporter around the set,” 60 Minutes producer Phil Goyen told Celebuzz exclusively.

What kind of trouble did Brand get himself into?

“He went crazy,” Goyen said. “It was typical Russell Brand — he put his foot on the gas pedal, broke through some barriers, and ended up on a live set.”

In fact, Katy Perry‘s ex left the camera crew in the dust. ”He just sped off, leaving them behind,” Goyen said. “We totally lost them.”

And that’s not all.

“He started driving through sound studios and got stuck in one,” the producer recalled. “The cart got wedged and he couldn’t get it out.”

But the wild man did offer some assistance: Goyen said he tried to lift the cart out himself, but when that didn’t work, “Russell just decided to abandon the cart on the set and walk back to his office.”

It was only on their way back that Brand’s cart-crashing antics paid off, landing the jokester a co-starring role with Kutcher.

“He decided to pop onto the Two and a Half Men set,” Goyen said — and Kutcher quickly commissioned Brand to do a cameo as a waiter.

But the whole interview wasn’t a lost cause: Goyen said the actor soon returned and finished the interview — and even flirted a bit with reporter Liz Hayes.

“The day was just chaos. You expect Russell Brand to be crazy — and he was,” said Goyen. “But he’s a lovely, generous guy. It was all in good fun.”

Russell Brand is making his recovery from drug addiction a permanent fixture: the actor just got a religious passage often recited in Alcoholics Anonymous tattooed on his arm.

The British lothario, 37, showed off his new ink which reads “Lord, make me a channel of thy peace” as he walked barefoot in Los Angeles over the weekend.

His artwork comes in the wake of news he is to appear on a BBC documentary detailing his dark past.

The documentary will air in the UK on August 16.

Russell Brand is facing his demons and confronting horrifying footage of himself smoking heroin.

In the new BBC doctumentary Russell Brand: From Addiction to Recovery, the 37-year-old British funnyman tackles the dark side of his past as he watches a clip of himself, then in his 20s, strung out on crack.

However, instead of feeling disgusted by his actions, the Brand X host admits he still yearns for the destructive lifestyle in the tell-all special.

“A proper little junkie,” Brand says to his friend Martino Sclavi as he watches the homemade video at the London’s Savoy Hotel. “This is when you know it’s a disease. It doesn’t matter that I was sat in that flat in Hackney and now I’m in the Savoy. I’m jealous of me then.”

He continues:

“It doesn’t make a difference to me. The money, the fame, the power, the sex, the women – none of it. I’d rather be a drug addict.”

The documentary, which will air in the UK late August, depicts Brand’s highs and lows as he recalls his drug-addled past. According to the Sun, it will also show footage of Brand shooting up heroin that was filmed by an unnamed friend years ago.

“The consequences of my actions affected so many people,” says the comedian, who’s been clean for almost 10 years. “Heroin is a greedy drug, it’ll take everything.

“First it’ll take your money. Then it’ll take your friends, your family, your car, your house. Then it’s going to take bits of your body. In the end I used to be scoring with people that had eyes missing, limbs missing.

“You’ll take it until it takes your life,” he adds. “It’ll take everything until the last thing and you’ll gladly give it that rather than give up drugs.”

Brand — who split from singer Katy Perry in late 2011 — got clean after spending 12 weeks at a rehab facility in 2002.

Disney has done it again.

The studio has rallied funnymen Russell Brand, Will Ferrell, Jack Black and Jason Segel to bring alive Disney’s most famous animated characters as a part of its Dream Portraits campaign.

First launched in 2007, the franchise features celebrities  taking on the likes of The Little Mermaid’s Ursula and The Beauty and the Beast princess Belle for editorial ads shot by world-renowned photographer Annie Leibovitz.

Which characters were brought to life this year?

British comedian Brand took on the role of Peter Pan’s arch nemesis, Captain Hook.

Sporting the villain’s iconic scarlet overcoat and frilly white blouse, Brand, 37, was totally game — even balancing atop of a crocodile’s mouth (albeit a fake one) for the shoot.

Meanwhile, Ferrell, Black and Segel played Phineas, Ezra and Gus — the famous hitchhiking ghosts from Disneyland and Walt Disney World’s Haunted Mansion ride.

Russell Brand has no regrets about his failed marriage to singer Katy Perry. During an interview with Howard Stern, the British comedian, 37, had nothing but kind words for his ex-wife.

“She’s a good person, I’ve got nothing but love for her,” Brand said during the Sirius/XM radio show.

“I loved her so much, it just seemed like the sensible thing to do [when we got married] … I just loved her so much,” he said of their wedding on Oct. 23, 2010 in India.

But after 14 months, Brand realized, “This isn’t really working out.”

What caused the break up?

Perry’s dedication to her career caused a bit of turmoil for the twosome, who barely got to see each other while she was touring the world for her concerts.

“She’s young, successful and dedicated,” Brand explained of Perry’s career. “[The reality is] you can’t fully understand it until you do it. I was really into the idea of marriage and having children.”

He added: “It’s a difficult situation … I was really, really in love with her, but it was difficult to see each other … We were together when it was right to be together, and when it wasn’t we worked it out … It was a lovely relationship … it mostly didn’t work for practical reasons … We did work it out, she’s happy, I’m happy.”

Russell Brand made it pretty clear that he has moved on from ex-wife Katy Perry, when the actor-comedian was seen walking with his arm around rumored girlfriend Isabella Brewster this weekend.

The pair took a casual stroll together at the Pacific Palisades Market, in Calif., where Brand, 37, donned a black-and-white rocker ensemble as he held onto his new gal pal.

However, Brand is obviously feeling the pressure of juggling a new relationship and a divorce, taking to Facebook on Tuesday morning to have his say.

Brand begged for people to realize, he too is hurting.

Brand was caught out slagging off his former wife while filming his new show Brand X in Los Angeles this week.

Responding to a couple in the audience called Curtis and Katy, Brand interrupted them, saying: “Anyway, enough of you. I’ve had enough a*se-ache from people called Katy in the last year.”

However, on Tuesday morning Brand begged fans to realize he was more than a bad boy.

“Who actually cares about what I really am, or what I really think, or what I really feel?” Brand said on his Facebook.

“What’s much more convenient is the idea of the cad, the bounder, the dandy, who’s making these minor transgressions in the media.”

He luckily has a new love to help him fell better though. Sources for US Weekly claim that Brand has been dating Brewster — who is the younger sister of Fast Five actress Jordana Brewster — for a few weeks, adding,”[Isabella] is all over him and Russell loves it.”

Brewster was previously linked to Bradley Cooper and Milo Ventimiglia, according to US.

The sighting of Brand and Brewster is certainly interesting, if not ironic, timing; just yesterday, Brand’s divorce from his wife of 14 months, Katy Perry, was finalized, making him officially single.

Brand filed for divorce in December, citing irreconcilable differences.

Perry has since been linked to Robert Ackroyd of the popular band Florence + The Machine.
