The last we left Lana (Sarah Paulson) on Ryan Murphy‘s American Horror Story: Asylum, she had lost a little bit of her way. Or so it seemed. The strong, fearless, independent journalist who stepped into Briarcliff to expose its conditions and the criminals it was thought to house initially suddenly veered off. Consumed by fame, and probably a bit of anger, she spun the truth and ignored promises.

Lana was always driven, cunning, and focused, though. She had a plan, and though she was forced to deviate it from a bit, her intelligence was always the biggest in the room, and so was her ambition. Lana’s desire to expose Briarcliff will therefore come back in a big way for the series finale episode, “Madness Ends,” which sees Lana returning to the asylum once more — this time with a camera crew.

“That’s one of the first things when I and the writers landed on the idea of Asylum — that period of time, those documentaries that were made — there was a very famous documentary that Geraldo Riveramade in that time period, and this is a loose homage of that,” Murphy said of the finale that showcases Lana’s “most controversial” work.

“Also there was a brilliant movie that we were inspired by for this last episode, this brilliant documentary called Cropsey, that was also about the unraveling healthcare system in our country and how so many people were dumped there and left to rot there. All those abuses that you see, we studied pictures of, and we recreated. We did a lot of research. But that was our jumping off point. In the beginning of the series, we knew we were going to have that character going there, becoming a prisoner…and then go back to tear the joint down.”

Murphy acknowledged some of the anger fans felt after seeing Lana give up her quest for justice in a quest for fame, but he noted that was a story point designed to be a “meditation on fame” that would not be indicative of Lana’s end.

“I know a lot of people were very furious with Lana after [“Continuum”] because they felt she left all those people to rot,” Murphy said.

“Even after everything that Sister Jude has done, [Lana] does sort of go back to get her, and she does succeed in closing down the place. I thought it was very heroic.”

American Horror Story: Asylum started as a mixture of a handful of horror elements that “shouldn’t go together,” but Murphy said he always designed the show to focus on three key characters: Paulson’s Lana, Jessica Lange‘s Sister Jude, and Evan Peters‘ Kit Walker. The three of them will each have their respective stories wrap up, but not without further overlapping first.

The finale episode jumps back and forth in time to show how the Briarcliff chapter closed for good, if the aliens ever came back for Kit, and just how big Johnny’s (Dylan McDermott) bite is, compared to his bark. He has certainly hurt a lot of people, but will he be able to actually kill his own mother, if he comes face to face with her at all? All of those answers are coming, though Murphy shared that he wanted to keep one particular arc somewhat open-ended and left to interpretation.

“I was always…fascinated [by] stories of people who had claimed to be abducted and were on the ships. Did that happen? I don’t know. But I’m fascinated that those stories came out right around the time of the Civil Rights era and the timing of that. To me, that’s what that was about, but I never even like to talk about that story because I like that that’s the one story where everyone can come to their own conclusion [of] where do they come from and why,” Murphy said.

“I think Jude got a very great, happy ending, and I think Jessica felt that. And I think Kit got a very strange, happy ending…Sarah Paulson had so many dark days, but she loved it, and she was actually weepy when the show ended because she said ‘I’ve never had a character who’s had a beginning, middle, and end like that’.”

But which characters will physically survive? Well, you’ll just have to tune in to find out!

Tired of horror movie remakes? Too bad, MGM don’t care. They’ve just hired Glee creator Ryan Murphy to oversee a remake of 1976 cult-classic The Town That Dreaded Sundown. Murphy will produce from a script by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, who recently wrote the Carrie remake. The original Sundown used a mockumentary approach to document the search for a fictional serial killer. With the remake being produced by the folks behind Paranormal Activity, expect the remake to follow a similar approach. [The Hollywood Reporter]

Ray Liotta and The Dark Knight Rises‘ Juno Temple are the latest to join the cast of Sin City: A Dame to Kill For. They will join Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Bruce Willis, the latter of whom reprises the role of Hartigan in the sequel to the 2005 film.

Recently, director Robert Rodriguez revealed more details about JGL’s character. “He plays a gambler, a very cocky gambler who comes in and tries to beat the biggest villian in Sin City at his own game. He beats the wrong guy in the game. Bad stuff happens to him… Bad stuff.” How bad? We’ll find out when the film hits theaters on October 4. [MTV]

After doing working on back-to-back-to-back films, Leonardo DiCaprio is looking to take a mini-retirement from acting. ”I am a bit drained. I’m now going to take a long, long break. I’ve done three films in two years and I’m just worn out,” the actor said in a recent interview with Germany’s Bild Magazine. After shooting the upcoming drama The Great Gatsby, DiCaprio immediately went to work on Django Unchained and followed that with a starring turn in Martin Scorsese‘s The Wolf of Wall Street. Over the weekend, J.J. Abrams added another project to his busy schedule – the rise and fall of Lance Armstrong. Abrams, along with his Bad Robot producing partner Bryan Burk, have acquired the screen rights to the book proposal Cycle of Lies: The Fall of Lance Armstrong by author Juliet Macur. Paramount Pictures will oversee development and distribution; no word yet if Abrams will direct or stay on in a producer-only capacity.

On Monday, Universal revealed a new TV spot for Cruise’s new sci-fi film, Oblivion, which casts Cruise as one of the last humans on Earth following a losing battle with an alien threat. American Horror Story: Asylum has yet to air its finale, but already creator Ryan Murphy is preparing to sit down with the writers to begin fleshing out the third season.

But before he clues his staff into his plans, he had to run the idea by one very special woman who has stood by him since the beginning of this anthology drama experiment of sorts on FX: his series star Jessica Lange.

“She’s sort of become an uncredited producer for Season 3,” Murphy said during a special Q&A in Los Angeles, Calif.

“I come up with the story, and obviously it’s always now crafted around Jessica for the most part. Before I talk to anybody, I tell her what the story is, and I tell her what the character is, and she has input.”

A key factor, then, for Season 3 is that both Murphy and Lange agreed to go a bit lighter in tone for her character specifically. Murphy shared that after becoming a new dad, “that’s just the kind of place” he was in right now. He also reiterated just how important it is that his actors tackle very different types of characters. And coming off AHS: Asylum, Lange has been through the wringer and is ready for a change more than most.

“I think it was really about something cultural and social, but it was very dark, and it was very unrelenting, and it was by design, and I think you’ll see a different tone in Season 3, but I think that’s the joy of the show,” Murphy said.

“I want to do something next season that’s funnier. I really miss that kind of Jessica Lange as Constance, that stuff — and I know she missed it, too… It is a mixture of several cities, and it’s really about female power… She’s going to play a really glamour cat sort of lady.”

Murphy noted that his other AHS: Asylum stars Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters would be back on the third season, as well. Though Murphy knows who Paulson will be playing, he admitted she doesn’t know — and so he didn’t want to spill the beans just yet. Additionally, Peters had come to him before AHS: Asylum and asked not to have to “sob” every week again, so Murphy joked that an emotionally wrecked “psychopath” is probably what Peters should play next season. After all, he had thirteen episodes in between to play a more buttoned-up character!

In addition to Paulson and Peters, Murphy shared that “for Season 3, we are going to have some actors from Season 1 return,” but was equally reluctant to say specifically who until the deals closed.

What he did add to the multiple cities note was that he would once again be playing with jumping through time as he has in the first two seasons, but the majority of the story would take place in “modern day.”

“I always start off with the story. I always start off with things that I have been obsessed with, and the season we’re about to do is another sort of thing, like the asylum, that I was always obsessed with as a kid… What Season 3 is about is more historical in nature,” Murphy said, adding that he is also playing with an element of “horror-romance” not unlike the “star-crossed lovers” aspect of Romeo & Juliet or even Peters and Taissa Farmiga‘s roles on Season 1.

But perhaps the most interesting thing to note? Like Bloody Face before it, Season 3 would have a horror icon element. And this time? It’s a woman!

UPDATE: Murphy confirmed on Twitter that Rabe will be returning for next season.

A New Year and a new baby.

Glee creator Ryan Murphy debuted his new son, Logan Phineas Miller Murphy, to the world via his Twitter account with a message to fans.

He wrote, “Thanks to everyone for the kind wishes. Logan is one week old and doing great. Happy new year!”

Murphy and his husband David Miller welcomed their son on Christmas Eve. Little Logan was born at 9:47 a.m., weighing 6 lbs., 6 oz. and measuring 21 inches long.

The two men tied the knot last July in Provincetown, Mass.

Television’s uber-producer was spoiled with gifts from Logan’s registry at the Juvenile Shop in Sherman Oaks, Calif.

Baby Logan is one spoiled bundle of joy.

The co-creator of TV’s Glee, American Horror Story and creator of The New Normal welcomed their son on Christmas Eve morning; he weighed in at 6.6 pounds and 21 inches.

Murphy and Miller tied the knot last July in Provincetown, Mass.

“People always say when you have a child it brings you back to when you were a kid, and I’m excited to do that,” Murphy said in a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter.

“I had a very rocky, difficult, emotional childhood with my parents. And then I’m excited to have somebody or something come in and say: ‘Really? I don’t care what you think. I’m going to do what I want.’”

The Miller-Murphy family was just waiting for the happy day to come.

“The family thought it would never happen,” a source close to the couple told Celebuzz.

Ryan Murphy definitely has something to be gleeful about.

The Glee co-creator unwrapped an early Christmas gift with his husband David Miller by welcoming a baby boy named Logan Phineas Miller Murphy on Dec. 24, E! News reports.

Just like his top secret storylines, the American Horror Story and The New Normal EP knows how to keep things under wraps. The 46-year-old writer-director secretly exchanged vows with his photographer husband last July.

And he just recently opened up his Beverly Hills mansion — and about his parental aspirations — to The Hollywood Reporter for its first-ever home issue, saying that just like the partnered couple on The New Normal who are in the process of having a baby via surrogate, that’s what Murphy and Miller also wanted in the next year.

“People always say when you have a child it brings you back to when you were a kid, and I’m excited to do that. I had a very rocky, difficult, emotional childhood with my parents,” Murphy told the trade publication. “And then I’m excited to have somebody or something come in and say: ‘Really? I don’t care what you think. I’m going to do what I want.’”

“Everyone is just waiting a while now before they buy too many things.”

Their bundle of joy reportedly arrived at 9:47 AM on Christmas Eve, weighing at 6 lbs., 6 oz and measuring 21 inches long. And the proud papas made the special delivery announcement via email to family and friends, complete with a cute photo of baby Logan in a Christmas stocking.

The Paley Center for Media announced on Monday that not only is it awarding producer Ryan Murphy its first-ever PaleyFest Icon Award, but also his series NBC’s The New Normal and FX’s American Horror Story: Asylum have been added to the annual TV festival. Murphy will receive his award at PaleyFest’s kickoff event on Wednesday, Feb. 27. The festival previously announced that HBO’s The Newsroom, NBC’s Revolution and ABC’s Once Upon A Time will also take part in the fest. [PaleyFest]

HBO and director Martin Scorsese (Goodfellas, Taxi Driver, The Departed) are partnering up for a documentary on former President Bill Clinton. The doc will feature Clinton recounting his experiences during his two-term presidency from 1993-2001 and his work and life after his service. An airdate has yet to be announced. [HBO]

E! is continuing its scripted series push with Gallerina, a one-hour project about a young girl trying to make her name in the New York City art gallery world. It is being produced by Mark Waters (Mean Girls, Freaky Friday), among others. [Deadline]

Jack Black’s comedy series, Ghost Ghirls, has found a home. It will premiere online in Spring 2013 on Yahoo! Screen. Produced by the comedic actor’s Electric Dynamite Productions and Shine America, the series follows two young female ghostbusters (played by Amanda Lund and Maria Blasucci), who solve the mysteries behind paranormal phenomena. Black, Jake Johnson, Molly Shannon, Jason Schwartzman and other celebrities will make appearances on the paranormal procedural. The 12-episode series began production earlier this month in Los Angeles. The series was previously reported to be in development with SyFy. [Yahoo! Screen]

The Insider is undergoing a makeover. In January 2013, it will return as omg!Insider with new co-host Thea Andrews. Andrews is replacing Brooke Anderson and joining co-anchor Kevin Frazier for the syndicated news magazine’s next iteration. [Deadline]

Sunday Ratings: Sunday Night Football’s San Francisco 49ers and New England Patriots game delivered NBC a big win with the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demo and reaching 18.6 million viewers in the 10PM timeslot. CBS scored with the Survivor: Philippines finale with the ad demo as well and 11.7 million viewers in the 9PM slot. But, ABC’s The Bachelorette: Ashley and J.P.’s Wedding failed to attract viewers to the nuptials – topping off at only 3.5 million viewers in its second hour at 10PM. [Zap2it]

Showtime’s Dexter and Homeland broke records for its respective Season 7 and Season 2 finales. Dexter drew in 2.75 million total viewers, making it the highest-rated program in the show’s history. The angel of death stopped by Briarcliff this week on FX’s American Horror Story: Asylum – and she claimed   more than one unfortunate soul.

With her six-foot wide jet black wings and alluring bright red lips, Francis Conroy made quite the entrance at Briarcliff, much to the disdain of her “fallen cousin” — the evil spirit inside Sister Mary Eunice (Lily Rabe).

Note: Spoilers if you haven’t watched Wednesday’s episode, “Dark Cousin.”

1. Grace is finally “free.”

The Dark Angel is summoned when Grace’s botched sterilization brings her to the brink of death. However, just before she can accept her kiss of death, she’s brought back to life by an extremely overzealous Sister.

Sister Mary Eunice stops by Dr. Arden’s (James Cromwell) office to taunt him about his terrible surgical work. “All of her girl parts have been scooped out,” she reminds him. But there’s one catch: Arden hasn’t performed Grace’s sterilization.

When Kit (Evan Peters) — who is facing the electric chair for Dr. Thredson’s (Zachary Quinto) dirty work — hears about Grace’s misfortune, he makes a run for it, knocking his defense lawyer out cold in the process. On the positive side, this could work in Kit’s favor. After all, he needs to prove to the judge he’s cray cray. But now that Kit’s a fugitive on the run, the police have been ordered to shoot on sight. Yikes.

But when Kit sneaks into Briarcliff to save Grace, flesh-eating Spivey (Mark Consuelos) follows him and ultimately wrecks havoc on his escape plan. Upon discovering Kit with Spivey’s blood on his hands, security guard Frank fires a fatal shot… but it’s Grace who takes the hit. Her last words? “I’m free.”

2. Sister Mary Eunice cries out for help.

Elsewhere in Briarcliff, another patient attempts a gory suicide by slitting his wrists on a deli slicer. Excuse me, but why is there a whirring deli slicer in an insane asylum? After calling upon death, she comes to his bedside and ushers him into the eternal darkness. But her work at Briarcliff isn’t done yet.

Sister Satan barges into the room, demanding the Dark Angel leave the asylum. However, Dark Angel tells her she was summoned by the Sister Mary Eunice’s innocent soul. For a second we see the real Mary Eunice come bawling out of her normally steely facade.

3. Pray for Lana.

Oh, Lana (Sarah Paulson). Poor, poor Lana. With her current status as Bloody Face’s sexual play thing, it’s now wonder Lana called upon Death.

The Dark Angel pays Lana a visit in Thredson’s basement, but before they seal the deadly deal, Bloody Face’s latest victim decides she is not yet ready to give up. Little did she know she’d be in for the fight of her life when Thredson decides that keeping her alive was a bad decision. But when he tries to kill her, Lana somehow manages to wrangle out of his grasp.

Despite her best efforts, Lana doesn’t succeed in killing Thredson, but she does knock him out for just enough time to escape the basement.

Unfortunately for Lana, she ends up in a car with a suicidal man who, seconds after the Angel of Death appears in the backseat, blows his own brains out. Poor Lana ends up right back in Briarcliff surely wishing she’d just chosen death when she had the chance.

With her brilliant performance this season, Paulson is giving Jessica Lange a serious run for her money come Emmy time.

4. Sister Jude faces her demons.

Considering that Sister Jude (Lange) has attempted suicide before, she’s well acquainted with the Angel of Death who arrives when the Sister envisions slitting her own wrists.

After a heart-to-heart with the Dark Angel, she decides she’s ready to pucker up for her last kiss, but first feels she needs to apologize to the family of the child she struck and killed a decade prior. However, upon visiting the family, Jude shockingly learns the child not only survived, but had gone on to become a nurse with a child of her own. Now if that doesn’t restore Jude’s faith in God, nothing will.

5. Arden knows there’s something about Sister Mary.

The Dark Angel isn’t the only person Sister Mary Eunice takes on this episode. “You touch me again, you will die,” she tells Dr. Arden after he slaps her across the face. When he tries to slap her again, Sister Satan hurls him right across the room.

Now call me crazy, but wouldn’t Arden wonder how little Sister Mary could toss him around like a rag doll? You’d think he would at least call his BFF Monsignor Howard (Joseph Fiennes) and tell him that one of the nuns has is running rampant? Or perhaps he’s too afraid to stand up to Sister Satan now that she knows about his Nazi past.

Dr. Arden may be too scared to dance with the Devil, but Sister Jude is ready to kick Sister Mary Eunice off her high horse.

Buzz Moments:

OMG!: The little girl in the blue coat is alive! Hail Mary, indeed Sister Jude. Now, what are we going to do about Sister Satan?

Awk-ward: Dr. Thredson is 50 Shades of Crazy. First, he calls Lana his mother, and then the next minute, he’s sexually assaulting her and trying to kill her. Why did he so suddenly change his mind on keeping her alive anyway?

Hotness: When Lana managed to escape Dr. Thredson’s maniacal grasp — and nearly choke him to death — I’ve never been so turned on by a fictional female TV character. You go girl.

Fab-u-lous: Francis Conroy’s performances as the Angel of Death was particularly striking. Up until this point, every death on Asylum appeared to be gruesome and excruciating, but Conroy brought a beauty to death we had yet to see. So is death the only escape from Briarcliff?

Can. Not. Wait.: To find out what happens to Kit! At this point, Lana is his only hope at redemption, but how can she help him when she can’t even help herself? Also, I really need to see Sister Jude b**** slap the hell out of Sister Mary Eunice.

Although the newly-minted Nintendo ambassador admits she hasn’t decorated her shiny red Nintendo 3DS just yet, she wouldn’t be opposed to adding a few stickers, preferably ones with cats on them.

Needless to say, this Glee starlet has come a long way since Quinn Fabray. Not only is she the creator the artistic site You, Me and Charlie, but the actress also has an indie film with Robert De Niro and Michelle Pfeiffer – titled Malavita – coming out next year. But don’t worry Gleeks: Agron is making her triumphant return to McKinley just in time for Thanksgiving.

Celebuzz recently chatted with Agron on everything from Glee and Malavita to her BFF Taylor Swift.

Celebuzz: Quinn is returning to Lima for Thanksgiving. What has she been up to at Yale?
Dianna Agron: School stuff! [Laughs] She’s been a little mischievous. She’s in a whole new ballpark, but at the same time, she’s grown into this new woman. She thinks she’s very sophisticated now. You’ll hear a little speech that she gives about her recent endeavors at school. It’s quite comical. Her extra-curricular activities are very interesting.

CB: Has she found herself a Yalie to shack up with?
DA: In some ways, you could say that. I don’t want to elaborate too much, but you’ll see. It’s pretty great, especially for Quinn. It’s like every season she’s someone new.

CB: Right! The Madonna of Glee, really. If only she could find a way to get rid of her ironic tattoo of Ryan Seacrest.
DA: I know. I think we’ll never see that ever again.

CB: There are some pretty great Quinn and Santana (Naya Rivera) moments coming up. Ryan Murphy recently joked on Twitter that he wants a spinoff for you two. What can you tell us about their reunion?
DA: Naya is one of my best friends, so it’s funny because the things that we do on the show are not necessarily the best friend behavior that you would want to have in your life. We have quite an interesting confrontation in this episode coming up. I’m not going to say exactly what, but I will say I nominated for really going for it. There was a lot of hesitation, but in the end, it will be really funny. There was some agression that was taken out. I’m not going to say whether it was verbal or physical, but let’s just say the stunt coordinator was on set. Think back to the fight in the hallway if you remember that episode.

CB: Of course! So it’s going to be Part 2?
DA: Yes! Exactly.

CB: So there was hestation on Naya’s part, but you were all for going hard?
DA: Well, you do things within safety limitations [laughs]. But I think if you trust and love somebody enough, like I love Naya, it make things a little bit easier to go a little bit further. It’s a great scene. The moment reminds me very much of Season 1. There’s a lot of emotion.

CB: You and Naya must be BFFs because all you do is tweet her cat photos.
DA: Yeah, I do. It started a long time ago. It’s not a new obsession by any means. It’s been an ongoing obsession. Sometimes, it’s the littlest things that bring you the most joy.

CB: A lot of fans love the Quinn and Rachel (Lea Michele) friendship. Will there be any moments between the two in the future?
DA: I have no idea! I don’t really know what’s coming up for Quinn and Rachel. I’ve been much more unknowing this season, which is fun, but it’s also so very different. I’d love for them to have a few scenes. They’re both maturing, and I think it could be powerful to see how far they’ve come.

CB: Maybe Quinn could come to New York?
DA: Of course! Because that means that I get to go to New York — or the fake New York on Paramount, one of the two [laughs]. But that would be so fun. We had a great time when we were in New York filming the end of the second season.

CB: There’s been a lot of talk about a potential storyline with Kitty (Becca Tobin), who’s been dubbed “The New Quinn.” What can you tell us about their relationship?
DA: It’s funny because we’re pretty much the same age in real life, but Becca is so sweet. Kitty completely looks up to Quinn. She has pictures of me in her locker and things like that. It’s the passing of the torch. She really looked up to Quinn in high school, and so when Quinn comes back, she gives Kitty a pep talk. I definitely had quite a few girls who I looked up to in high school, and I would have loved if they came back and offered me advice. Who wouldn’t?

CB: A lot of fans and critics seem to agree that this season has recaptured some of the magic from Season 1. Do you agree?
DA: For sure! It was really cool to meet everyone in the new cast. They’re all so wonderful and so eager to be on set. There’s definitely a renewed excitement this season, and we’re all noticing it. They brought a fresh air to the show. The possibilities with this cast are endless. It’s been really great.

CB: You recently wrapped Malavita with Robert De Niro and Michelle Pheiffer. What was that experience like?
DA: I’m so incredibly lucky to work with such amazing people. Getting to work with the likes of Robert De Niro and [director] Luc Besson was a dream. I’ve been a fan of Luc’s work for a very long time.

It’s a very dark comedy and an action movie rolled into one. Robert plays my dad and Michelle plays my mom, and Tommy Lee Jones plays the FBI agent that’s keeping our family in the Witness Protection Program. And then there’s John D’Leo, who plays my cutie little brother. We basically wind up in Normandy, and you see us try to assimilate into this very French town, and we just fail epically. It’s a funny twist of events.

CB: Now, your BFF Taylor Swift gave you a shout out in the liner notes of Red. That’s pretty cool, right?
DA: I’m so proud of her! Her album is doing so well, and she’s worked so hard on it, so I couldn’t be happier for her. She’s really doing great, and that album is amazing.

CB: So is “22″ your favorite song on the album?
DA: I don’t really know what my favorite song is yet. I’ve been listening to the whole thing in its entirety, and there’s not one song that I skip over. So I guess I love all of the songs.

NBC’s Revolution is on a roll as it hit a three-week high in the ratings last night with a total of 8.8 million viewers. Though it garnered great ratings, ABC’s Castle beat the freshman drama in their 10 PM time slot with a season high of 10.9 million viewers. Joseph Fiennes knows all about Ryan Murphy’s dark side.

Having previously worked together on 2008′s TV movie Pretty/Handsome and 2006′s feature film Running With Scissors, the British actor already had an idea of what to expect on FX’s American Horror Story: Asylum – which just so happens to take place at a mental institution.

“In the wonderful dark world of Murphy and [Brad] Falchuk, it will go to a pretty scary, creepy place,” Fiennes, who stars as Monsignor Timothy Howard, told Celebuzz at American Horror Story: Asylum’s Hollywood premiere in Hollywood on Saturday.

“I’ve already hit a place where I had no idea that I’d meet certain people and get to do certain things,” he continued.

When it comes to the unsettling subject matter, actor revealed when he initially read the first two scripts… he giggled?

“It shocked me in a way that I had that inner giggle,” he said. “Like, ‘This is great!’ and not, ‘[Gasp] This is horrid!’”

Meanwhile, will things get hot and heavy between Howard and Jessica Lange’s Sister Jude? 

“There’s a bit of manipulation,” he dished. “They both have points of views over how to run [the institute], so there’s a on-going process between Howard and Jude.”

However, there’s more than meets the eye when it comes to the head of the Briarcliff Manor Sanatarium. Despite his title, he is neither innocent nor pure. Instead, he’s a wicked man who just so happens to be the object of Jude’s sexual fantasies.

“I draw the line at murdering people,” he joked.

Despite his initial “inner giggle,” Fiennes does admit Briarcliff — and the real institutions that inspired it — are a horrifying part of our history.

“What I find really creepy is that this wasn’t too far ago in the ’60s. Certainly, coming from Britain, there are institutes of this kind back in the ’50s and ’60s that treated mental illness very differently than the way we do today… It’s very real.”

Meanwhile, fans can also expect to encounter aliens, Nazis and a serial killer named Bloody Face — who just so happens to wear the skin of victims on his face — in the asylum.

Somehow, we don’t think we’ll be giggling as much as Fiennes while watching the premiere, which airs Wednesday at 10 PM on FX.

Finally! Thanks to this newly released American Horror Story promo, we finally catch a glimpse of Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine in action — literally!

Unfortunately for him, Kit will unfortunately be subjected to Sister Jude’s (Jessica Lange) unorthodox punishments — much to the dismay of Dr. Thredson (Zachary Quinto), who does not approve of the institution’s harsh conditions.

Viewers can also expect to encounter aliens, Nazis and a serial killer named Bloody Face — who just so happens to wear the skin of victims on his face.

Meanwhile, Sarah Paulson stars as investigative journalist Luna, who starts delving into Briarcliff’s deepest and darkest secrets. As for actor James Cromwell, he’ll take on the role of Dr. Arden, a Nazi who uses the patients as his own test subjects for cruel and inhumane procedures.

Chloe Sevigny will also star as a nymphomaniac whose husband sends her away to the asylum. However, judging from this Season 2 trailer, there won’t be a shortage of sexual experiences in the asylum anytime soon.

Between the hydrobath, the hellevator and Bloody Face, American Horror Story’s second season — appropriately called “Asylum” —  is shaping up to be FX’s most gruesome thriller. Now, we finally have a glimpse at Briarcliff’s latest victims in action.

Real Housewife of Atlanta Nene Leakes is one of those rare personalities who have been able to make the transition from reality star to full-fledged actress in NBC’s hit The New Normal.

In addition to her new job, Leakes will continue to appear on Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Atlanta this season. After a much-publicized on-screen divorce with ex-husband Gregg Leakes during last season, we can expect the upcoming fifth season of the show to chronicle the couple’s reconciliation.

Gregg who also attended The New Normal’s Paley Center preview panel with the star was with Leakes when she attended Entertainment Weekly’s pre-Emmy part at Fig & Olive in Beverly Hills Friday.

Of the current state of their relationship, she told Celebuzz at the event, “We’re doing good. We’re parents so we are working it out.” The two have a 13-year-old son, Brentt.

Leakes also talked to us about her transition to scripted television at the hands of Glee and The New Normal c0-creator Ryan Murphy. 

After Murphy gave the actress a small stint on the FOX musical show as swim coach Roz, he hand-picked her for the role of the feisty Rocky on The New Normal. He even changed the role a bit to suit her personality. Leakes’ Rocky is the sassy and fierce assistant of Bryan (Andrew Rannells) on the NBC show.

“It feels really good for Ryan Murphy to even say ‘Hey, I saw you and I want you to come work for me on my shows.’ That to me was just amazing,” said Leakes. “I’m very blessed.”

As for the upcoming season of Housewives, she says “Good luck girls! If you tune into the fifth season you will see a lot happening with the house. It will be a bumpy ride as always but entertaining.”

The New Normal airs Tuesdays at 9:30 PM on NBC. Bravo’s Real Housewives of Atlanta will return Sunday, Nov. 4 at 9 PM.

President Barack Obama is getting ready to party with Jay and Bey.

Music power couple Jay-Z and Beyoncé Knowles are hosting an exclusive shindig at the rapper-producer’s swanky 40/40 club in New York City on Tuesday night. The Commander-in-Chief will grace the 100-guest event — for which ticket prices run as high as $40,000 per head — and the proceeds will benefit the president’s reelection campaign.

After shooting his sit-down interview on the Late Show with David Letterman, Obama will head to a campaign event at the Waldorf Astoria before heading to Hova’s club to deliver remarks at the star-powered gathering. Reports indicate that the affair will be the POTUS’s final fundraising event in the Big Apple ahead of the Nov. 6 election.

But this certainly isn’t the first time a celebrity has their weight behind Obama’s campaign.

Ever since kicking off his re-election campaign, the president has relied on his ever-growing support network of Hollywood stars. High-profile backers like Sarah Jessica Parker, Glee creator Ryan Murphy and Tyler Perry have opened their homes to host Obama fundraisers.

Glee co-creator Ryan Murphy is continuing to roll out the spoilers for the FOX show’s fourth season. And the latest batch delivered some deets on Oxygen’s The Glee Project Season 2 winner Blake Jenner’s storyline.

“@Blake_Jenner’s character name is…Ryder,” Murphy tweeted. “Working on lots of great scenes for Blake and @CoryMonteith!”

Yes, folks, Jenner’s Ryder is somehow connected to Monteith’s Finn.

What could Murphy have going on in his twisted mind for the two?

Last week, Jenner dropped by the Celebuzz offices just hours after Murphy tweeted that his character would drop into Ohio on next season’s Episode 5.

“That’s insane and I’m so happy,” Jenner told us. “I was afraid that I was going to have to survive, that I’d maybe have to start Episode 14 and have to go back to eating Ramen for a long, long, long time.”

“I’m so grateful and I just can not wait to get the script and start embodying the character and just have a good time and stay truthful when I’m acting. I can’t wait,” he adds, though he knew nothing about the role then.

Miami native Jenner beat out 13 other talented contenders for the recurring role on Glee. Having studied acting since he was a child, the 21-year-old says he has weathered a lot of rejection along the way to winning the competition earlier this month.

This third — and sure to not be final — American Horror Story teaser trailer might be the scariest one yet. Let’s just say “The Hydrobath” does not look like an enjoyable experience.

The first teaser featured a nun dropping body parts in a field, while the second one involved a nun hanging a mysterious blue coat on the wall — in the shape of a crucifix. Now, this cryptic 14-second teaser gives viewers the first glimpse at the asylum and its seemingly torturous practices. The official description of the clip reads: “Are you ready for the birth of the new horror? The Asylum is open.”

What else can you expect from the second season of American Horror Story?

Glee showrunner Ryan Murphy snapped a photo of one of his cast members sporting the famed superhero sidekick’s costume on the set of his hit musical series.

“Who is that masked man keeping crime away from the halls of McKinley?” Murphy tweeted.

The actor, who joined the cast in 2010, was totally game as he courageously posed for a photo in his green tights.
