For stars like George Clooney and Brad Pitt, Hollywood is getting more and more crowded.

Why? Because thanks to the box office clout earned by rising stars — much of which goes hand in hand with recognition at ceremonies like the Oscars and SAG Awards — several actors and actresses have recently joined their ranks in that rarefied airpsace known as the A-List. In just the last year, a wide range of actors, from Channing Tatum to Jessica Chastain, became members of the “New Guard,” commanding acclaim and commercial success in remarkably equal measures.

But before the A-List has to adjust its margins to fit in next week’s box office champs, Celebuzz takes a look at 8 of its newest – and biggest – additions.

So how did we determine our list of newcomers? The same way Hollywood determines theirs.

Celebuzz looked at several actors’ recent box office successes and overall “heat” surrounding the town’s most wanted talent, and then used a unique mathematical theorem (read: Editor’s Choice) to come up with the next generation of A-Listers.

Carmen Electra was left breathless by a fellow celeb at Sunday night’s SAG Awards — but it may not be who you think.

“I just ran into Nicole Kidman,” the 90210 actress told  Celebuzz. “She’s so breathtaking.”

And though she admits that the two didn’t actually speak, that didn’t make the moment any less important for Electra. “It was very amazing,” she gushed.

The sexy former Baywatch babe, who was decked out in a revealing navy blue, mermaid-style gown, with an old-hollywood sweeping hairdo, said that it took, “Two hours of hair and makeup and wardrobe” to get her perfectly coiffed look. Time well spent!
