The weekend kicked off with a bang Friday with Jersey Shore star DJ Pauly D spinning at Ditch Friday at the Palms Pool & Bungalows and then later that night at Rain Nightclub.

Only Diddy could host a bash worthy of a holiday weekend in Vegas, and he did just that poolside at the Palms Pool & Bungalows. The huge crown went crazy as Puff hit the mic and sang “Mo Money Mo Problems.” Other celebs joining in to celebrate included Jeff Timmons from 98 Degrees and Chippendales fame, Flo Rida, Christina Milian (who wore an Asymmetrical Bandeau Top by 1Sol Swimwear) and Akon.

Dressed in head-to-toe black, Diddy looked mighty mopey when he was cuffed by Hawaii Five-0 star Grace Park. However, the stars (including Five-0 hunks Daniel Dae Kim, Scott Caan and Steve McGarrett) were spotted in good sprits behind the scenes, laughing and dancing with each other as they geared up to “arrest” Diddy.

Diddy knows a thing or two about getting cuffed – the rapper was arrested in 1999 for aggravated assault and a weapons charge, although he was later found not guilty.

The hip-hop impresario tells MTV that, after making his comedic debut as a raunchy record exec Sergio Roma in last year’s Get Him to the Greek, he’s totally up for a little more funny business.

According to Diddy, whose other screen credits include Monster’s Ball, CSI: Miami, and A Raisin in the Sun,

“I’ve done a lot of drama mostly my whole career, with Broadway and Monster’s Ball and stuff like that — my short little career…But when I did Get Him to the Greek, I really fell in love with making people laugh. I have a knack for improvisation, and hopefully I’ll be able to make people laugh more.”

Fans might have to wait a bit to see Diddy further stretch his comic chops—he’ll next be appearing on the big screen alongside Heather Graham and Kris Kristofferson in the upcoming action drama Shoedog.

Earlier today, a fake statement by Nicki made its way around the internet, claiming that Nicki was leaving her current management team–which was overseen by Diddy–in favor of greener pastures.

“By now, everyone should now [sic] that I am really strict when it comes to my representation,” the fake statement said, “Personally, I feel like I’m being managed by my mother.”

The statement went on to claim that Nicki was dropping Diddy in favor of famed manager Benny Medina. However, Nicki later show down the statement as a fake.

“LMAO,” tweeted Nicki, “I’ve never met Benny Medina a day in my life, we good on this side.”

The rumor comes at an odd time in Nicki’s life: The stunning rapper is currently preparing for the release of her first full-length album, Pink Friday, which hits stores on November 23.

Though Brittani wrote on her Facebook page that she just met Levi on Saturday, bloggers immediately began wondering if the two were an item. So, we did a little digging to find out just who Levi’s new gal pal is, and whether or not she’s about to become a superstar.

Who is Brittani? A self-described “hip pop princess” (according to her MySpace page,) Brittani hails from Minneapolis, Minnesota, where she is a member of Twin Cities royalty (assuming it exists.) Her dad, Joe Senser, played for the Minnesota Vikings in the 1980s and now owns a chainlet of sports bars, appropriately named Joe Senser’s.

Can she sing? Brittani boasts a pretty impressive R&B-ready voice on “Cupid,” the debut single from her upcoming album, “After Love.” After getting her start as a member of a hometown girl group, MN Finest, she’s trying her luck as a solo artist signed by the MN Finest label, which has crowned her the “the voice of a new generation.”

What are her current claims to fame? Like every aspiring singer/actress out there, Brittani has some reality show cred, in her case as a contender on MTV’s Making The Band 3. “I got to meet P. Diddy, and to have the opportunity reignited a fire in me,” Senser told The Associated Press. She also hit the Los Angeles club circuit recently, performing with Kim Kardashian’s ex and Brandy Norwood’s brother, Ray J. And her spokeswoman said Brittani will belt out the National Anthem on Sept. 26 at a Detroit Tigers-Chicago White Sox game. What’s up with Brittani and Levi? She declares him a “super nice kid” via Facebook and he claims they’re “just friends” in this video from the Teen Choice Awards blue carpet, but the non-couple whose names both end in “i” will soon at least act like they’re in love. Citing the script for Brittani’s “After Love” video, The Hollywood Gossip said “Levi strokes Brittani’s hair, they intertwine fingers, they laugh, she kisses his shoulder, he runs his hand gently down her back.” The video is bound to get a few clicks, as the plot is said to feature Levi being persecuted by his girlfriend Brittani’s overbearing mom. Sound familiar?

What are Brittani’s hopes and dreams? They’re pretty lofty. She cites Whitney Houston as her “idol” and aspires to pull a Beyonce some day, telling the AP: “I would love to have a career like that, love to get into acting.”

The rap mogul recently revealed his plan to open a business school in New York, so that budding captains of industry can learn from the master. Explaining his desire to be seen as a positive role model, Combs announced,

“I want to have an academy that’s known for building leaders. I feel that’s one of the things I can have an impact on. I want to take on more responsibility. I’m still honestly in search of how I can have the most positive effect that I can have.”

We can just imagine Professor Diddy standing at the chalkboard now. But if the career trajectories of some of his former proteges are any indication of how this will all play out, we hope the tuition is refundable.

According to reports, after showing up massively late for his exclusive gig at a Moscow nightclub, Pete Doherty was pelted with bagels by unhappy audience members, one of which he picked up and ate. (A bagel, not an audience member.)

Go, Pete.

While the numerology of the bagel (“0″) certainly seems apt to Mr. Doherty, other troubled music artists are now fearing that they may be the next victims of this ironic food assault.  As a courtesy to these sensitive songsmiths, Celebuzz predicts what ironic food items may be headed their way.

Amy Winehouse better keep her guard up at her next performance, because while the sultry, drug-addled diva is laying some roundhouse kicks into the nightclub manager, she might find unhappy fans flinging this appropriate food item her way.

However, fans should not be surprised if Amy snacks on a few from off the stage and orders herself a couple or 20 martinis to wet her whistle.

P. Diddy better be watching his back, because so much time spent on his endless line of Sean Jean and I Am King licensed merchandise has caused him to lose focus on his underlying skill in music. 

He shouldn’t be surprised if fans start tossing some of his new signature line of candy bars in his general direction, as a message of ironic dissatisfaction.

John Mayer knows precisely what’s coming his way, based upon his never-ending tweets and comments to the media, the latest being of his more subtle variety:

Of course, there is the possibility T.I. still fires off a few rounds at his show. Thankfully, the guns are filled with jelly and frosting.

And, yeah, everybody’s gushing about how indulgent Diddy is with his first-born son (of his total of five children by way of three baby mamas), but the Maybach, as swank and richtastic as it is, still pales in comparison to the imaginary 16th birthday presents of numerous other children of privilege we doctored up for our own amusement.

For instance, for his 16th birthday, Brandon “Greasy Bear” Davis, grandson of oil tycoon Marvin Davis, jumped for joy as he received 1,000,000 geese, the second largest flock on the entire planet. Sadly, Brandon cried as winter arrived a week later and his birthday present flew south for the winter. 

It proved to be a crushing blow for the young billionaire-to-be, who has been unable to hold a steady job (or an unsteady job) since.

Still three years away, Lourdes has already started campaigning her Material Girl mom for an amusement park; not to visit there with her friends on her birthday, but the actual amusement park itself.  To own it.

Madonna is no naive mom and has already brought in a team of professional negotiators to handle the discussions with her daughter leading up to her 16th birthday party.

For her sweet sixteen, heiress Paris Hilton, begged her daddy for a diamond bigger than a black bear.  Rumor is she held her breath and turned blue before her father relented and surprised her on her 16th with a semi-cut stone standing over eight feet tall.

Paris only had the diamond for a month or so before she accidentally left behind the immense stone at a New York’s Bungalow 8 nightclub.  She went back to look, but the 400-pound diamond, and her Menthols, were both gone.

Grandson of one of the world’s richest men, Stavros Niarchos III was snubbed by his family on his sixteenth birthday.  So he went out an bought the Southeast Asian nation of Burma.

While the status symbol of owning his own country made Stavros feel like a million bucks (or a billion), the nation-state has seen nothing but civil unrest and factional violence since Stavros put it on his Amex Black.

The rapper’s very own wax figure was unveiled last night at Madame Tussauds Wax Museum in Times Square and it was a little too well done, because the whole thing started to feel like a nightmare movie called Multiplicididdy.

“I wanna thank my mother, she was the originator of the wax figure,” Diddy told reporters at the event. “It’s hard to explain looking at yourself like this. They did an excellent job.”

The man of many names, currently Sean “Diddy” Combs, was pitching his Sean John line of toiletries and bath items last evening on HSN, including the remarkably popular I Am King eau de toilette (that’s stanky perfume for those of you not familiar with the Diddy scent).

The one-time gun-toting bad boy of rap music now moves among the nation’s consumer sets, hawking his robes and cologne, encouraging others to smell like Diddy and feel like a King.

Incidentally, Diddy dedicated his I Am King signature stank to Muhammad Ali, Barack Obama, and Martin Luther King Jr. Three men known primarily for their awesome smell!

Yes, we see the irony in the mogul of Bad Boy Entertainment taking over television’s most whitebread community; so we’re giving you our version of how the monstrosity will play out before it airs:

Diddy hits your screen hi-def style and lookin’ glam in his custom-made HSN living room. He sits cozy in a floral chair that once belonged to the producer’s grandma, surrounded by delicately pale yellow walls. Front and center sit his highly coveted fragrances (I Am King and Unforgivable) atop a classic, round, wooden table.

Perplexed by the modest size of the furniture, he requests a remodel of oversized leather and rich mahogany. Unfortunately, the producer had a vision to bring the wholesome essence of the network into Diddy’s reputation, but an agreement was formed that allowed him two backup dancers, each holding a fragrance. We won’t get into the two hours of Diddy success and his plan to take over the world.
