They say “a moment on the lips is a lifetime on the hips,” but that’s not the motto Shay Mitchell lives by. At least, not anymore.

The Pretty Little Liars star, whose bikini body graces the cover of Self magazine‘s June issue, says she no longer struggles with her weight as she’s learned to look at herself in a whole new light.

“Being beautiful doesn’t mean being skinny. It’s about being healthy,” tells the publication.

“I’d starve myself for a day, and the next day I was hungry, tired and miserable,” she recalls her younger days living in Hong Kong. ”When I felt so bad about not being able to fit into size 0 jeans, I realized I had to make a change.”

“I live thinking, ‘If today’s my last day, what’s gonna make me happiest?’ And I do those things,” Mitchell continues about her new outlook in life. “I want to try different foods and enjoy myself, not starve myself to reach a number on the scale.”

Though her daily menu consists of egg-white omelete, salad with a lean protein and vegetable soup, the Canadian-native says she likes to indulge once in a while.

“Oh, and I love potato chips!” she adds.

Oh girl, you can definitely treat yo self.

The writers and executive producers of ABC Family’s Pretty Little Liars sure do know how to step up their game as another season of the addictive drama draws closer to a close.

Thursday’s penultimate episode of Season 3 featured a shocking reveal and yet another mysterious dead body in Rosewood. And, of course, no episode of PLL would be complete without some relationship drama as well as a fan favorite couple calls it quits.

Note: Spoilers ahead if you haven’t seen Thursday’s episode, “I’m Your Puppet.”

OK, PLL fans, that crazy cliffhanger — did anyone see that coming?

Spencer (Troian Bellisario) has joined the “A” team!! After Mona’s (Janel Parrish) visit last week reminded her of all that’s gone wrong since she turned down her devious offer in the woods on the Season 2 finale, Spence decided to accept the black hoodie and join forces with her nemesis. Or, at least that’s what the producers want us to think/debate/ponder until the finale.

As her first “A” team assignment, it appears Spence was the friend of Aria’s (Lucy Hale) who pretended to be her when picking Ezra’s (Ian Harding) son Malcolm up at karate. The brainiac found her way out of Radley through Mona’s board game map that also led her to some of Mona’s hidden treasures.

This creepy and uncomfortable storyline sent a frantic Aria to a carnival and puppet show to find the 7-year-old. And after returning him safely to Maggie, Aria realized that no matter what happens with Ezra, it’s not just the two of them in their relationship anymore and someone is bound to get hurt. Wanting it to be her instead of him or Malcolm, she tells Mr. Fitz, “I can’t do this anymore.”

Meanwhile, Emily (Shay Mitchell) remained desperate to reveal that the body found in the woods was not Toby (Keegan Allen).

A trip to the morgue with Hanna (Ashley Benson) and Aria — they really need better security there — reveals “John Doe” is most definitely not Toby. However, when Emily’s mom lets her know that another body was uncovered in the woods, she starts to freak out. Could Toby really be dead?

The body, which Pam (Nia Peeples) informed her suffered significant trauma, was found just where Spence said it was, with her purse not to far away. A shot at the end of the episode revealed his tattoo on the body, but I won’t believe it’s really Toby until we see his face on that table.

“A” was also busy framing Caleb’s (Tyler Blackburn) recently returned dad on “I’m Your Puppet” by stealing the bell from the tower and replacing it with a much cheaper version. Of course, the culprit revealed herself in a text to Hanna after Caleb had an emotional argument with his dad. Seeing the text, Caleb became upset with his girlfriend and rushed to make things right with Jamie.

Trouble for two couples, a death and a shocking reveal! There must be a finale coming!

Some additional thoughts to ponder:

• Cece (Vanessa Ray) was a frequent visitor to Mona when she was in Radley due to her own torment from Ali (Sasha Pieterse). Is this another clue she may be the girl in the red coat?
• Spencer’s Ali hallucination and her mother’s flashback? Ali was right when she told Spence, “Oh honey, you didn’t know me when you knew me.”

Buzz Moments

OMG: WHAT?!!? SPENCER JOINED THE “A” TEAM! Obviously, there has to be more to this story but this reveal definitely sent my jaw to the floor and my hand to the rewind button.

Thank you, TV gods.: For the twists and turns that PLL brings. You can always count on the producers and writers of this show to “bring it” at the end of the season and they are showing, once again, that they can do just that.

Awk-ward: Aria and Ezra sharing a pastry on the sidewalk after she told the principal they never hung out was a bit weird. She is completely right in thinking that someone is bound to see them.

Hotness: Caleb’s back. That counts for hotness, right?

Fab-u-lous: Hanna killed it in the fashion department on this episode. I particularly loved her brown leather coat and black leather peplum top. Unfortunately, my research didn’t help me find where you can get either but check Possessionista in the coming days as she is sure to have some details.

Can. Not. Wait.: With that cliffhanger, I’ll be counting down the days and hours until the Season 3 finale. Is Toby really dead? Is Spencer really on the “A” team? Who is the girl in the red coat? So many questions… I can’t wait for the answers!

Celebuzz (1-10): 8. A great penultimate episode which did what PLL does best… leave me wanting more!

The truth about Toby (Keegan Allen) is out as Spencer (Troian Bellisario) finally decided to tell her friends about his lies on Tuesday’s episode of ABC Family’s Pretty Little Liars.

Spence was warned that someone might get hurt if she spilled her secrets, and “Out of Sight, Out of Mind” delivered with a possibly major death. But, is the deceased really who “A” wants us to believe it is? Or could the deceased be a fallen member of the Rosewood police force?

Note: Spoilers ahead if you haven’t seen “Out of Sight, Out of Mind.”

Emily (Shay Mitchell) takes Toby’s reveal particularly hard, flat out refusing to believe that he could be responsible for some of the horrible things “A” has done. After all, why hasn’t he hurt them before? On a mission to prove Spencer wrong or at least get some clarification, Em spends the entire episode searching for Toby.

After exchanging text messages with someone she believes is Toby, Emily finds out that he died via a package from “A.” With a glimpse of a blonde in a red coat, she is led to Toby’s work place where she encounters his friend, who just so happens to know her name (Interesting! Nothing is ever a coincidence in Rosewood). What was in the package? A tiny coffin with a memorial paper.

Spence was warned that she may lose someone close, after receiving a rather large flower arrangement, stating “With Deepest Sympathy” following her confession to her friends.

Her shock and heartbreak is palpable as she finds a body marked with Toby’s tattoo in the woods and hears Mona (Janel Parrish) utter, “he’s dead.” But as we all know, nothing is ever what it seems in Rosewood and without seeing the body’s face, I am skeptical that it’s actually him.

The discovery of his body is just enough to send Spencer right over the edge. She appears to hyperventilate as she breaks down in the middle of the woods. Next time we see her, she’s almost catatonic and has been picked up by park rangers who request a psych evaluation. By episode’s end, Spencer is a patient at Radley.

As for other potential dead bodies in the Liars’ small town, Detective Wilden’s (Bryce Johnson) body is still missing. And whether it’s “A” or Wilden behind the prank, his car ends up in the Marin garage complete with video evidence of Ashley’s (Laura Leighton) “accident” playing on a loop.

The incident forces Hanna (Ashley Benson) to take drastic action to protect her mother. With Aria’s (Lucy Hale) help, she brings his car to the water and sinks it in the river. With the episode tag showing a Rosewood resident finding a police hat when fishing, this is sure to come back to bite them on the next episode.

Meanwhile, Ezra’s ex-girlfriend Maggie (Larisa Oleynik) and their son Malcolm come to Rosewood, thanks to Mama Fitzgerald forcing them out of their house. And of course, a mishap was inevitable when Aria is left in charge of the seven year old.

Can Aria deal with dating a father? And will Maggie come between “Ezria”? Only time will tell.

Buzz Moments:

OMG: Toby is dead! Or at least that’s what “A” wants us to think! Since we didn’t see his face, my bet is he is still alive and kicking somewhere! Could the body be Wilden’s tattooed to look like Toby?

Thank you, TV gods.: For Spencer finally telling the girls about Toby’s “A” team status!

Awkward: “Are you immediate family? Then you need to wait outside.” Poor Aria – her relationship only gets more awkward from here on out.

Hotness: Ever since Toby left, PLL has been seriously lacking in the hotness department. However, Ezra was pretty darn adorable playing with his son.

Fab-u-lous: PLL Costume designer Mandi Line loves putting the Liars in Urban Outfitters and I love that too. On this episode, I loved Aria’s sweater from the store. Though they don’t have her exact one anymore, the updated striped version is just as, if not more, cute.

Can. Not. Wait.: To see what Spence will uncover when she’s in Radley. What answers does Mona have for her?

Celebuzz (1-10): 7. A good episode to set us up for the upcoming Season 3 finale.

While Emily (Shay Mitchell) seemed to have a major revelation about “A” on Tuesday’s episode of ABC Family’s Pretty Little Liars, Spencer (Troian Bellisario) continued to unravel as she dealt with the reality of losing Toby (Keegan Allen).

Meanwhile Aria (Lucy Hale) got close with Fitz’s (Ian Harding) younger bro Wesley (Gregg Sulkin) and Caleb (Tyler Blackburn) and Hanna (Ashley Benson) got a glimpse into Caleb’s past.

Note: Spoilers ahead if you haven’t seen Tuesday’s episode, “Dead to Me.”

Grappling with the guilt of killing Nate, Emily decides it’s time for her to get some help by visiting Dr. Sullivan (Annabeth Gish). But instead of focusing on that fateful night while under hypnosis, Em recalls the night Ali’s (Sasha Pieterse) body was dug up and sees a member of the “A” team digging up the grave as a blonde woman in a red coat looked on.

“She’s the one in charge,” Emily told Hanna and Aria. Of course, as an audience, I think most PLL fans probably assumed this but what does this revelation mean for the girls? And who could it possibly be? Only time and executive prodcer Marlene King could possibly tell.

Now, if I had to pick the stage of grief Spencer is currently experiencing over her breakup with Toby, I would say she is firmly planted between anger and bargaining in that she is so angry that it happened but is now looking for a way to make things better. Hurricane Spencer was on the warpath on “Dead to Me” as a result and no one was safe.

Hoping the “A” key would lead to some room where Toby may be or to at least remnants of their love, Spence hired a private investigator to track him and whatever the key opened down. Unfortunately for Ms. Hastings, the room was completely bare with the exception of her palpable sadness.

Poor Spence.

Wanting others to feel just as horrible as she does, the brainiac then crashed Ali’s memorial at the mausoleum and informed Jason (Drew Van Acker) of Alison’s possible pregnancy by Detective Wilden (Bryce Johnson). She also carved Toby’s name into his mother’s headstone. Uh, maybe Spencer should head to Dr. Sullivan next?

As for Aria, she’s still dealing with Ezra leaving to meet his son. While spending time in his apartment, she runs into his younger brother and learns that apparently Fitz isn’t the only one who was eager to break away from his family. Wes wants out as well and has figured the best way to do it would be to get thrown own of prep school. So what did he do? Hit on his teacher of course.

Hanna spent much of the episode with Caleb. When he heard from his mom that the house he grew up in was being sold, he could care less. However, after some convincing from his girlfriend, the couple goes to his aunt’s house together to sift through some of his memories. It’s there where they meet Uncle Jamie.

While the man says he’s Caleb’s uncle, a baby picture he gives Hanna may indicate otherwise. In the photo, the man holding Caleb is wearing the same ring Jamie was sporting as they cleaned the shed. Could Jamie be Caleb’s father? I’m leaning towards yes.

Buzz Moments:

OMG: Em’s first memory during her session with Dr. Sullivan made us a bit wary. While we knew there was no way she could be responsible for Ali’s death (we hope), it freaked me out quite a bit.

Thank you, TV gods.: For Bellisario. She has been an absolute tour de force as a heartbroken Spencer. Such a talented actress with a bright future. I’m sure there’s at least a Teen Choice Award in her future for her performances this season.

Awk-ward: Not sure whether to file this under “awkward” or “angry,” but Mona really got under my skin when she came up to Spence in the hall to discuss the decathlon.

Hotness: Tyler Blackburn. That is all.

Fab-u-lous: While Spence is grieving, she’s at least looking cute while doing so. Her sweater from Urban Outfitters was one of my top fashion picks. I also loved Emily’s leather jacket.

Can. Not. Wait.: For Spence and Mona to go really head to head.

Celebuzz (1-10): 6. After two weeks of major revelations, it’s seems right that this episode needed to slow down a bit.

As this season progresses on ABC Family’s Pretty Little Liars, the secrets are spilling out like someone was given truth serum.

Toby (Keegan Allen) is on the “A” team, Detective Wilden (Bryce Johnson) was in Cape May the same time as Alison (Sasha Pieterse), and Ali may have been pregnant when she died. The secrets keep coming and when Celebuzz spoke with series’ star Shay Mitchell at her perfume release party she spilled another one: “This season, I would say that there might be one person that gets removed from Rosewood and possibly due to the ‘A’ team.”

While your heads are churning with theories about whom she could be referring to, Mitchell’s character Emily Fields will be doing some more digging about Alison’s past.

“Well, it’s interesting especially since Emily found out a lot about Ali from the summer before in her journal and now she’s trying to get down to the bottom of it,” revealed Mitchell. Emily wants to know “if everything that she read in [Ali’s] diary” is actually true.

There are many reasons for her character to be skeptical, the actress elaborated, “because Ali kind of enhanced a lot of stuff back in the day.”

Meanwhile, Emily will also get a visit from gold medal Olympic swimmer Missy Franklin on an upcoming episode of the show. The two will talk about – what else? – swimming. So did Franklin have any advice for Mitchell on playing a swimmer?

“I told her about my coaching when I was doing the swimming thing for Emily and I actually had a coach for two weeks prior to this one episode. And I was like, ‘I don’t know how you did it.’ It was so tiring,” said Mitchell, 25. “She was amazing. She was like, ‘Honestly, you need to eat a lot before and after.’”

As for Franklin’s acting skills? Mitchell told us, “She was great. She was such a pro when she was on-set. She hit her mark every single time and didn’t forget her lines once. She was really fun to work with.”

Shay Mitchell is more than just a “Pretty Little Liar”.

We caught up with the actress at the Juicy Couture Couture La La fragrance launch in Beverly Hills and she dished on all things girly.

“It’s an amazing scent mix of floral and citrus and I love it because I can wear it in the day and also take it into night,” Mitchell said of the new perfume.

But that’s not all, the actress also has a blog where she shares her passions – giving her fans the opportunity to gain inspiration as well. “I love fashion I think it’s so interesting because it’s always changing and there’s always a new trend or a new look and I get inspired by so many different things and home decor.”

Mitchell, who was decked out head-to-toe in Juicy, said she was going for a “sweet yet punky sort of look” with her perfect-for-Valentine’s dress and black booties.

As for her V-Day plans? Mitchell says she plans to keep it low key with a fun dinner with her bestie.

Yet another major reveal and some minor  (depending on how you look at them) secrets were divulged on Tuesday’s episode of ABC Family’s Pretty Little Liars.

While I’m  still feeling for Spencer (Troian Bellisario) and the couple that was “Spoby” after she learned the truth of Toby’s (Keegan Allen) duplicitous nature on last week’s episode, this week “Ezria” ended in dire straights. And thanks to “A,” it was due to another Liar spilling the beans.

Note: Spoilers ahead if you haven’t seen Tuesday’s episode, “Out of the Frying Pan, Into the inferno.”

Ezra (Ian Harding) and Aria (Lucy Hale) are in for a rocky road from here on out on Season 3B. Thanks to a text “A” sent to Spencer from Aria, the distressed Liar took it upon herself to confront Ezra about treating his girlfriend poorly after he learned about his son. Too bad, he didn’t actually know the truth yet.

Fitz is rightfully upset that Aria withheld the information from him, but by episode’s end he says he can understand her predicament after discussing it with Maggie. Although he tells her that they’re “OK,” he obviously is not, and goes on his way to meet his son.

“Can I call you?” asks Aria.

With a long pause and some tears, he kisses her forehead and simply responds, “We’ll talk soon.” Uh- Oh “Ezria” fans! Things aren’t looking good.

When Aria went to talk to Spence about the situation, we got to see the true extent of the grief Ms. Hastings is experiencing. When she gets to the point of defending “A” to Aria and telling her that “maybe they deserve it,” Aria gets rightfully upset.

Spence decided to keep quiet regarding the revelations of last week, opting to tell Emily (Shay Mitchell) only that she broke up with Toby. When will she tell the girls the truth?!?! I hope SOON.

This episode also featured Spence taking the first step towards action in acquiring more info on “A” by hiring a private investigator to tail Toby and find out where the dropped key leads.

Meanwhile,  Emily received a package from Nate’s Family (or “A”?) containing cards she once sent to Ali (Sasha Pieterse) and a notebook. So what did we learn from the package? A LOT. After reading through an exchange between Cece (Vanessa Rae) and Alison and talking to Cece, Em finds out that Ali may have been PREGNANT when she was murdered.

Yes, pregnant! A flashback showed that she told Cece if  the “beach hottie,” whom she met in Cape May, found out about her pregnancy he would kill her. Looks like there may be another suspect for her murder? Food for thought – Detective Wilden also frequented Cape May.

Another flashback revealed that Ali visited Toby while he was in juvie – complete with a doo rag. She confronted him about notes from “A” to which he responded, “I wish I knew who wrote those notes, I would offer up my services.” And he has.

As for Hanna (Ashley Benson), she spent the episode following Paige (Lindsay Shaw) after she found out that Caleb and Paige are working together to take down Mona (Janel Parrish). The brain nailed to Mona’s locker on the season premierewas the work of Caleb and the pair are just getting started. Detective Hanna wasn’t very successful in staking out and finding out what they were up to though, getting busted for under age drinking in the process.

OMG: Spence let the cat out of the bag – Ezra, you are a father!

Awk-ward: Every scene where Spence wasn’t herself. It was sad and weird.

Hotness: Yet another scene with Allen sans shirt. I’m telling you it must be a requirement in his contract. Needless to say – super hot.

Fab-u-lous: There were tons of cute clothes on this episode of PLL and Possessionista has all of them including Aria’s hot leather jacket from Zara, which unfortunately is no longer available in stores but IS on eBay!

Can. Not. Wait.: When will Spence tell the girls about Toby’s “A” team status? I hope sooner rather than later.

Celebuzz (1-10): 8. While I enjoyed the episode and thought it was above average as a whole, it didn’t get me nearly as much as “Misery Loves Company.”

The town of Rosewood on ABC Family’s Pretty Little Liars is made of secrets and lies.

And no one has more secrets than our four girls: Aria (Lucy Hale), Hanna (Ashley Benson), Emily (Shay Mitchell) and Spencer (Troian Bellisario). But now, it seems that Spence is keeping a major secret from her best friends, at least on the next episode, “Out of the Frying Pan, Into the Inferno.”

In a new clip of the episode, Spencer is more than preoccupied about the disastrous events of her anniversary with Toby while Aria and Hanna discuss the secrets Aria and Caleb (Tyler Blackburn) are keeping from their significant others.

When the girls ask if Toby (Keegan Allen) was surprised, all Spencer can offer is, “Yes, there was a big surprise.” Though she pretends to be OK, it’s obvious she is not and by the end of the clip Hanna and Aria know that something is up.

Talking about the scene, Bellisario called it, “Funny to shoot.”

She joked, “I was going through a pleasant stroll through that scene.”

The fan reaction to the reveal of Toby (Keegan Allen) as a member of the “A” team on the midseason finale of ABC Family’s Pretty Little Liars was so insane that executive producer Marlene King told reporters a Mom even called the EP’s offices asking to speak to the head of television. But, fellow executive producer Oliver Goldstick says fans shouldn’t have been that surprised by the character’s evil turn.

“His darkness isn’t coming out of nowhere,” Goldstick said during the show’s panel at the Television Critics Association Press Tour in Pasadena Thursday morning. “This is not a betrayal of his character. It’s actually a reminder of where we started, coming fill circle.”

If you can recall, Toby was an outcast when the show first started after he returned from reform school. Even the Liars thought he killed Alison (Sasha Pieterse) at the time.

Goldstick and King, along with Allen and cast members Troian Bellisario (Spencer) and Shay Mitchell (Emily)  were all on hand at TCA to dish on what’s to come on Season 3B,  just how long the show can last and the “A” of it all.

Of course the biggest storyline fans will see on this half of the third season will be the reveal of Toby as an “A” team member to the Liars, specifically Spencer. King told reporters, “It’s a mind-blowing storyline that we had a lot of fun with.”

She remarked that in previous seasons, “A” has really gone after Emily but with this revelation the storyline really shifts to Spencer’s direction. Bellisario noted that her storyline this year, “was truly beyond anything that [she] ever imagined that you guys would allow me to have” calling it an “amazing” and “harrowing” experience.

As for the “A” storyline in the long term, King revealed, “We always know who ‘uber-A’ is. I don’t think we could be successful doing what we’re doing if we don’t have the final answer.”

Goldstick added, “But it’s very specific as far as season to season, because we really do begin the season knowing what the end of the season is and try to work backward from that as well. There are tentpoles that we create, that we mount and then just say, ‘OK, we have to get to this.’ But as far as knowing, yes, we have a plan. But if it were that direct and straightforward, there wouldn’t be a lot of twists, and a lot of fun along the way. There are a lot of detours.”

King remarked that they try to keep fans satisfied by “giving little bits and pieces of the puzzle” while targeting “mysteries within the big mystery” noting that “part of the fun of the show is everybody trying to figure out who ‘A’ is.”

As for the longevity of the show, King noted that Sara Shepard, who writes the books the show is based upon, is now 12 or  13 books into the series showing them that they can keep the mystery going.

Goldstick also noted that the show doesn’t play as real time and joked, “They’re going to be the Golden Girls’ Liars.”

Other highlights from the panel included:

• King told reporters that Episode 16, which she directed, is “Misery-themed” whereas the “finale pays homage to [classic Hitchock film] North by Northwest.”
• The show’s premiere on Tuesday accounted for 52 percent of all of Tuesday’s TV Twitter activity.
• Mitchell says getting into her Converse sneakers to play Emily “really does help” noting that in real life she is “probably the girliest” of all the actresses.
• The girls really want one of them to be on the “A” team. “I think we’ve all been kind of begging for that,” Bellisario said. “It’s so much fun to be the villain. And especially on our show because there’s so many crazy directions that they can think up.”

No lies detected: Shay Mitchell has plenty of love for the Pretty Little Liars fanbase.

While making a glamorous arrival at the People’s Choice Awards on Wednesday, Mitchell expressed her gratitude for the ABC Family show’s dedicated fans also known as Little Liars, who were nominated for Favorite TV Fan Following (they ultimately lost to the SPNFamily from the Supernatural fandom).

“They’re just so supportive and it’s all around the world, so it’s great that we can now reach them through social media,” Mitchell, who donned a Georgio Armani frock, complete with Jimmy Choo heels and a Chanel clutch, told Celebuzz.

Speaking of social media, the show’s winter premiere caused a frenzy on Twitter, where 50 percent of Tuesday night’s Tweets were penned by PLL devotees.

“It’s incredible. I just found out that on Twitter last night we took over 50 percent of the tweets, which was insane. So yeah, we broke our own record from previous years and it just keeps getting better and bigger,” Mitchell added.

And some fans are willing to take their dedication to the extremes. “When I met a couple of girls, they had tattoos of quotes and my name on them. That’s always something that I’m like, ‘Oh my gosh, thank you, but wow!’” she said about her craziest fan experience.

As for Mitchell’s small screen faves, the 25-year-old actress can’t get enough of the culinary competition genre — her ultimate guilty pleasure.

“I’m a big fan of Top Chef,” she revealed. “I kind of feel that’s guilty but not because I’m still learning. I’m picking up different tricks and tips that they’re doing.”

But when it comes to her real-life cooking skills, Mitchell keeps it simple, saying, “I’m not going to say I can cook a 10-course meal, but I can definitely whip up a couple of dishes.”

It’s a new year and there’s a new Mona (Janel Parrish) on the loose on ABC Family’s Pretty Little Liars.

But the first episode of Season 3B didn’t only feature the former Radley patient back to torment our girls at Rosewood High, fans were also treated to some sketchy background info on Mr. Montgomery (Chad Lowe) and clues as to possible new “A” team members.

Before we dish on the episode though, let’s talk about how good Parrish and Keegan Allen (Toby) are at playing creepy? The actors playing the currently outed “A” team members freak me out every time they’re on screen. They are fantastic. And if Mona showed up in my bedroom in the middle of the night like that you can bet I’d be sleeping with a crowbar too — just like Aria (Lucy Hale) said she would.

Note: Spoilers ahead if you haven’t seen Tuesday’s winter premiere, “She’s Better Now.”

The winter premiere opened with Mona’s aforementioned late night visit to Hanna (Ashley Benson) and a creepy Toby knocking down a black hoodied skateboarder with his car. Meanwhile, Emily’s (Shay Mitchell) parents have gone all Defcon 1 and installed a new security system in their house to protect their daughter from anymore crazy incidents ala last summer’s midseason finale.

As expected, Mona doesn’t get the warmest reception upon her return to Rosewood High. But things come to ahead when she opens her locker to find a cow brain tacked to the door with a knife. Every smartphone on campus, of course, documents the incident as Mona throws the brain and the knife out, whispering to Lucas (Brendan Robinson) before walking away. Shortly thereafter, she was also seen talking to the janitor who the Liars remember as Harold (Travis Richey) from the Lost Woods Resort, the place where Mona had her crazy “A” lair.

When Lucas heads to Hanna’s for no other reason than to further the story, he lets her know that Mona had been sneaking out of Radley long before she had permission to. He also credits his new limp to a skateboarding accident, which gets the wheels in my head turning. (More on that below.)

Now, it appears that Rosewood High’s new janitor has a whole lot of Mona’s things in his office, including one of Allison’s (Sasha Pieterse) old journals. When the girls ditch a charity 10K to go through the stuff, they find Ali’s diary containing an entry highlighting Aria’s dad, Byron. From what we were shown in the flashback, it’s clear she was blackmailing Mr. Montgomery over his affair with Meredith (Amanda Schull) and asking for a pretty penny to keep quiet.

After Aria and the girls had a small incident with Meredith in her class, “A” had exactly what she needed to frame the girls. Meredith, in the wrong place at the wrong time thanks to a note from “A,” gets injured in a fire at the finish line. Later, Byron confronts Aria about the incident, questioning whether or not she and her friends did this, as he knows what they’re capable of. But what is Byron capable of? His accusations, tone of voice and creepy stares while listening to his daughter’s call with Spencer — which mentions “A” — indicate there is a lot more to learn about the Montgomery patriarch.

The note marks the second time Aria was “A’s” main target in the episode, after she received an “It’s a boy” basket outside Ezra’s (Ian Harding) apartment.

We also NEED to discuss Mona and her new friend Jason (Drew Van Acker). Now, without a doubt, the best line uttered in the one-hour episode had to be Spencer (Troian Bellisario) telling Toby, “he [Jason] is basically hugging a hand grenade.” But what exactly is this partnership between Spence’s half-brother and Mona? I really have no idea and that’s the writers’ point. Of course, Spence does her best to convince Jason that Mona can’t be trusted but by episodes end, we see the duo together on his steps as she cleans his wound. But where could he have gotten hurt?

With Jason’s cut and Lucas’ limp, it seems to me that we have at least two possible new candidates for the “A” team. My theory, based on what executive producer Oliver Goldstick told us about Lucas revealing too much, makes me think he was the one Toby was chasing down. Perhaps he doesn’t want part of the “A” team anymore? While maybe Jason was hurt by Aria on the “A” train (I hope not!) or the culprit who set the fire?

As with most PLL premieres, there were little answers provided but a whole lot of questions ensuring a VERY interesting season to come.

Buzz Moments:
OMG: While there weren’t any moments that made me gasp during the episode, I was SUPER creeped out when Mona showed up in Hanna’s room to plead her case. Seriously, not ok.

Thank you, TV gods.: That PLL is back! I missed this show while it was gone!

Awk-ward: Every single moment that Spencer and Toby are together (For the audience at least).

Hotness: Toby was looking all sorts of HOT and kind of creepy after he and Spencer went for a run!

Fab-u-lous: All of the PLLs were looking cute on the premiere. I particularly loved Hanna’s blue polkadot dress, which thanks to wornontv.net I found out is from Anthropolgie. Spencer’s cami/skirt combo was also one of my faves and Possessionista has all the details on where to get it!

Can. Not. Wait.: To find out what the deal is between Jason and Mona? Also, to see how Toby is revealed to the girls as a member of the “A” team! As with any and every premiere of PLL there are so many new questions to be answered!

Celebuzz (1-10): 8. An overall great episode that set up this season’s mysteries quite nicely.

She’s back!!!!

Fans of ABC Family’s Pretty Little Liars are in for a treat when the addictive drama returns for the second half of Season 3 as Mona (Janel Parrish) is back in action and out of Radley Sanitarium.

But the real question of this half the season is: Is it Mona or someone else who is REALLY in charge of the “A” team?

“Mona’s back, Toby’s [Keegan Allen] in black and Byron [Chad Lowe] may be whacked is sort of how we started the season,” Pretty Little Liars executive producer Oliver Goldstick told Celebuzz about the upcoming episodes. “We really wanted this question … because Toby is a huge question mark. And with Mona’s return, does this precipitate Toby really starting to act out?”

Note: Mild spoilers ahead for Season 3B.

Season 3B’s opener, appropriately titled “She’s Better Now,” not only sees the duplicitous Mona back to wreak havoc at Rosewood High but you’ll also see Hanna’s (Ashely Benson) former BFF develop a new relationship with someone fans wouldn’t expect –  Spencer’s (Troian Bellisario) half-brother, Jason (Drew Van Acker).

“Our Pretty Little Liars are on terror alert because they know this girl and what she’s capable of. But, people like Jason — it seems like he doesn’t know,” he explained. “The fact is Jason is still dealing with his late sister’s missing remains. He’s got a quest as well that may be different than the Pretty Little Liars to solve. Maybe his relationship with Mona – who knows, if that’s something he wants answers to or is he part of it [all]?”

And while we know from talking to the cast of PLL at the premiere of the show’s Halloween episode that Toby’s involvement on the “A” team will be revealed to the Liars at some point this season, when exactly can we expect this to happen?

“It’s a midway point,” said Goldstick. “They’re going to start finding things that are just highly suspect of somebody who they love and trust. Toby has earned quite a place in their hearts, all of them, obviously Spencer [Troian Bellisario] and Emily [Shay Mitchell], so no one is going to jump to this place right away. And then evidence starts to mount that [his loyalty] is questionable.”

The EP also revealed Season 3B will provide “much more insight to what happened that summer” with Allison (Sasha Pieterse).

“We are going to be revealing things that our girls were not privy to,” he teased. “As well as [the Liars] thought they knew Allison, there’s even more very provocative revelations about what happened that summer with her. You’ll know a great deal more about Allison in 3B.”

These revelations will not only deal with her connection to Aria’s (Lucy Hale) dad, Byron, but also her secret BFF, Cece (Vanessa Ray).

As for that scoop Brendan Robinson, who plays Lucas on the show divulged to us, about being gone for a good chunk of 3B, Goldstick elaborated, “He sort of has to go away because of the way events are unfolding. He reveals a little too much possibly in 3B that forces him to disappear for a bit.” When we asked him if we should be nervous about this disappearance, the EP simply said, “Yes.”

We’ll also learn more about that suspicious N.A.T. club that has been brought up now and then on the show. Look for a mention of the creepy club on the winter premiere and more information to be divulged over the course of the season.

Of the club, Goldstick said, “Even Allison’s connection to it will be hinted at in this season and you’ll understand maybe even stronger motivations for why someone may have put her underground.”

Pretty Little Liars returns Tuesday at 8PM on ABC Family following a marathon of Season 3A beginning at 11AM.

Paige (Lindsey Shaw) and Emily (Shay Mitchell) are in for some much needed romance on the upcoming second half of the third season of ABC Family’s Pretty Little Liars.

During Season 3A, the couple was put through the wringer as Paige was considered a suspect by the Liars for much of the season and was then kidnapped by Maya’s “fake” cousin, Nate (Sterling Suleman).

“Obviously there’s a lot of trauma that she’s dealing with from that at the beginning of the winter premiere,” Shaw told Celebuzz when she stopped by our Hollywood studio. “We kind of see her very secluded and isolated. She’s very fearful and traumatized and we get to see Emily kind of come to her rescue, which is great. You get to see Emily take care of her in this really loving way so in the midst of all the chaos there’s a lot of good romantic Pailey scenes. ”

But Paige won’t just be sitting around experiencing post-traumatic stress all season.

“A little ways through Paige gets her fight back and she kind of teams up with someone very interesting to sort of continue the battle against the ‘A’ team,” the actress revealed. Though she wouldn’t dish as to which character Paige teams up with, she did say the duo will be working together to gather “some dirt on the ‘A’ team.”

Shaw, 23, also divulged that we can expect to “see her and Emily in some intense situations where the audience sort of knows Toby [Keegan Allen] is there but they don’t.”

As for Toby’s big reveal as a member of the “A” team to the Liars, she said, “It sends intense ripples through Rosewood.”

“It’s the coolest way that they reveal Spencer [Troian Bellisario] finding out,” she explained. “You can expect Spencer to sort of find out a little bit sooner than everybody else. It’s very, very cool, the way that it happens. I can’t say anymore than that.”

The “A” train was on supersonic speed on ABC Family’s Pretty Little Liars Halloween episode.

From the get go with Mona’s (Janel Parrish) creepy song and declaration of love for the spooky holiday (“I love Halloween. All the dressing up, being other people, tricks and treats, treats that turn into tricks, it’s better than Christmas, more makeup”), the episode threw punch after punch until a hand rose and the credits rolled.

Note: Spoilers ahead if you haven’t seen PLL’s Halloween episode, “This Is a Dark Ride.”

As we suspected, the Rosewood resident who perished was former Officer Garret Reynolds (Yani Gellman). But not before he creeped us out with that spooky baby face costume and spilled the beans to Spencer (Troian Bellisario) about what really went down the night Allison (Sasha Pieterse) died.

Garret informed Spencer that while he didn’t kill Ali, he let Jenna (Tammin Sursok) believe that he did. That video we saw from Ali’s room on the night of her murder wasn’t the whole story. Garret had taken Jenna out of the room that day and found Ali in the backyard. After an almost physical fight between the two girls, Garrett hit the now infamous field hockey stick against the tree.

When Pieterse told us that we were going to be surprised by the new “A” team suspect, we had absolutely no idea it would be BYRON (Chad Lowe)! He had teased to us at the episode’s premiere that his appearance would set up the rest of the season and boy was he right. I’m still reeling from the revelation.

Byron’s daughter, Aria (Lucy Hale), finally got her due from “A” as she was the main target on the ghost train.

After being drugged, she awoke in a wooden box with her mouth and hands duck taped next to a dead Garrett. Talk about creepy!

Eventually, the girls were able to find and save her moments before the box was almost pushed off the back of the train. Of course, she doesn’t believe Garrett’s story about her dad, but really why would he lie about that? While I don’t think Byron killed Ali (at least I hope not), there was definitely something shady going on between him and his daughter’s friend; an affair perhaps?

All I can say is it’s about time one of the parents is heavily involved in the plot, even if it could mean they’re on the bad side of things.

After Aria was found and the cops questioned everyone, the girls realized they had been playing “A’s” game all along by getting Garret off the hook. And then a fight between Toby (Keegan Allen) and Noel (Brant Dougherty) knocked over the ice chest and Ali’s body was recovered.

Observations/Questions:

• I think it’s safe to assume, well actually in Rosewood it’s never safe to assume, but Mona had to have been on the train helping to enact this plan. After all, we did see the mask on her floor at the end of the episode? Also, we heard two voices when Aria’s box was being pushed… Mona and Toby?
• Who was the little ghost girl talking to Ms. Marin (Laura Leighton)? My first thought was a young Ali but why and how did she appear to her?

Buzz Moments:

OMG: When Aria turned around to find a dead Garret in the same box as her, I’m not ashamed to admit I gasped and covered my mouth! But then Ali’s body was found in the ice on the train and I couldn’t help but shiver.

Thank you, TV gods.: Jason (Drew Van Acker) is back! Where was he? And what was he doing? Those are questions for Season 3B to answer!

Awk-ward: While it was great to have Adam Lambert on the show, how weird was the exchange between Lambert and Aria? Necessary for him to be there, but unnecessary for anything else.

Hotness: Hanna and Caleb (Tyler Blackburn) making out in costume and on the train. Definitely the hottest moment on the episode.

Fab-u-lous: While everyone looked amazing in their Halloween costumes, I’d have to give top prize to Mitchell’s Emily as Barbarella. She looked gorgeous and fun with her big hair and boots!

Can. Not. Wait.: For the girls to find out that Toby is on the “A” team! It will be heartwrenching to watch as Allen told us at the premiere, but also amazing for them to see his true colors. Also, whose hand is that coming out of the ground at the end!? And why? And How? I can’t wait until January to find out!

Celebuzz (1-10): 10. This episode was a non-stop action ride that spilled tons of secrets, endangered the lives of the Liars, and was just entertaining and super fun to watch. I loved it all.

The second half of Season 3 of Pretty Little Liars begins Tuesday, Jan. 8 at 8 PM on ABC Family.

It’s all aboard the “A” train as it heads into Rosewood on Tuesday’s special Halloween episode of ABC Family’s Pretty Little Liars.

This Halloween is set to rock the worlds of our favorite Liars, Aria (Lucy Hale), Emily (Shay Mitchell), Spencer (Troian Bellisario), and Hanna (Ashley Benson) as one Rosewood resident won’t make it off the train alive. And if that doesn’t excite you, it also features a performance by American Idol alum Adam Lambert.

Celebuzz caught up with cast and executive producers at the episode’s Hollywood Forever cemetery premiere in Los Angeles to get all the scoop on what’s going down on the “A” Train.

Executive Producer Marlene King and writer Joseph Dougherty already spilled that the departed resident will be a he, so we can narrow the network’s original list of 13 down to seven.

“He’d be the least expected person to not make it to the end of the line,” Dougherty revealed.

King added, “This character dies, because he has a huge secret and is about to reveal that secret to a Pretty Little Liar.” What could the secret be? Who will die on the episode?

You’ll have to watch to find out, but here are six things you need to know about “This Is a Dark Ride.”

1. Aria’s scary ride. While the train ride will prove terrifying for some, and deadly for another, Aria is, for sure, going to have one scary time this Halloween. “She’s finally got something really terrifying and thrilling or as an actress it was thrilling. Something pretty horrible happens to her,” Hale told us.

From what we’ve seen we know that Aria will go missing when on the train and that others’ lives may also be in peril, but where’s Ezra? Hale mentioned that though we haven’t seen Ezra in any of the clips for “This Is a Dark Ride” he will most definitely be in the episode.

2. A New member of the “A” team? Sasha Pieterse, who plays Ali on PLL, told us “You get to meet a new suspect. I don’t know if meet is the right word but you get to see this new suspect in a totally different light. “

“You would have never thought this person would be a suspect. The scene is so bizarre” she teased. “You see Ali in a different light. The contrast between her and this other person and how she controls and manipulates; you see her wrapping someone around her finger. It’s very interesting to see how everything pans out and how it kind of blends in with the Halloween episode and our second half of our season. “

3. Emily and Paige. Though we didn’t get to speak with Mitchell at the premiere, we did catch up with Lindsay Shaw, who plays Emily’s girlfriend Paige on the show. She told us that Paige will be taking a break from her post-traumatic stress to have some fun on Halloween.

“It’s not easy for Paige, but there’s no huge things that come up,” she said. “She’s able to help the girls in the way that she needs to. She kind of solidifies her stance as a good guy. Her and Emily have a great scene in the beginning.”

4. Mona’s creepy singing. While Mona is still locked away in the Sanitarium during the Halloween episode, she, of course,  still makes an impact. “She won’t be attending the party on the train but she might still be pulling some strings where she is,” she revealed. “The question is how and who is working with her?”

She’ll also be using her lovely voice within the episode… but it will be kind of scary. “It is creepy singing. I’m singing a nursery rhyme and it’s really creepy,” she says. “Nursery rhymes can be kind of creepy and it’s a song about teddy bears having a picnic.” As for whether or not there may be another message within her song, she’d only say, “Maybe.”

5. What’s going on with Aria’s Dad? Chad Lowe, who plays Byron Montgomery on Pretty Little Liars told us his appearance on the episode “sets in motion a lot of things that we’ll be explored further when we come back in January.” When pressed for more information, the actor declined to say where he is on the episode as he didn’t want to ruin the surprise. Sneaky, huh?

6. Creepy babies. Brendan Robinson, who plays Lucas, filled us in on his character during PLL’s web series, Pretty Dirty Secrets, and informed us we’d see a familiar face (kind of).  In case you haven’t seen the web series, he said, “You’ll learn that Lucas is kind of continuing his sketchy behavior. He shows up to the Halloween costume shop and he says that he’s there to buy a costume but really he might be there to make a business transaction.”

Appearing in the shop as well is one of those “creepy dead baby things,” which he told us will make appearance in the Halloween episode as well. As one of “A’s” seemingly disturbing trademarks (the baby dolls have appeared in multiple episodes now including last year’s Halloween episode), Robinson promises that everything will make a lot more sense when we get into the second half of the season in January.

WOW! When Pretty Little Liars executive producer Marlene King told Celebuzz that Tuesday’s midseason summer finale of the hit ABC Family show would bring “justice for Maya (Bianca Lawson)” and that there would be multiple betrayals, we thought we were prepared for might go down but we were definitely not!

Note: Spoilers ahead if you haven’t watched Tuesday’s episode, “The Lady Killer.”

We’ve been saying all along there was something sketchy about Nate (Sterling Sulieman) and it turns out we were right. There is no Nate. He was Linden James and was Maya’s stalker and killer. After kidnapping Paige (Lindsay Shaw), Emily (Shay Mitchell) then killed him in a bout of self defense. Moments later, Caleb (Tyler Blackburn) found her and a shot went off injuring Hanna’s (Ashley Benson) boyfriend. We were just as devastated as she was.

That’s not all though. We also learned that Ezra (Ian Harding) is definitely a daddy but that Maggie (Larisa Oleynik) wants Aria (Lucy Hale) to keep this a secret from him. Then, the biggest “OMG” moment came with seconds to spare when it was revealed that Toby (Keegan Allen) is on the “A” team. I think it’s safe to say no one called that one. So what’s next in Rosewood?

When Celebuzz caught up with King she told us what we can expect from the new web series premiering after the finale and the Halloween episode in addition to what it was like to direct PLL for the first time.

Celebuzz: What can you tell us about how the web series, Pretty Dirty Secrets, figures into the overall plot of the show?
Marlene King: It’s definitely tied into the story. Some of the episodes introduce new storylines and some of them are about storylines we’ve already introduced. It’s definitely part of the mythology of the show. It’s really fun to see these characters we might not have seen together ever on the show or who rarely get to be together in these fun scenes. It’s a snippet of a life in Rosewood that we feel like we’re getting a sneak peek of. It’s really fun. It’s these characters finding their way into this Halloween store getting ready for our big Halloween episode.

CB: What was your part in developing the web series? Did you write them?
MK: They were written by Kim Turrisi and Kyle Bown. Kim is a friend of mine and a huge fan of the show. She wrote a web series that she won an Emmy for called Venice. Kyle is my assistant and an amazing writer. We produced them here and it’s just like any other episode of Pretty Little Liars.

CB: Is this year’s Halloween episode, “This is a Dark Ride,” as big to the overall Liars story as last year’s origin flashback tale, “The First Secret?” Is it a flashback?
MK: No, it’s not a flashback. You will see we key up the Halloween train at the end of [Tuesday's] episode. Halloween is really just a couple of weeks after the finale wraps. It’s huge. It’s an amazing ride. Season 3B will pick up a couple of weeks after that.

CB: You just finished directing your first episode of Pretty Little Liars for episode 3.16, “Misery Loves Company” which will air in 2013. How was your experience sitting in that chair?
MK: It was amazing. Our cast and crew are just tremendous. It was so much fun just to get to be with everybody all that time. It was exhausting but it was fun and amazing. I can’t wait to share that episode with everybody. It’s Season 3 and I’ve actually been working on the show for four years now so it’s really fun to be challenged and to get to do something I normally don’t do. To get to write your own words and then be the person who makes all the decisions about bringing it to the screen was very rewarding. Everybody was so supportive. All the girls, the whole cast. People really wanted me to succeed and it felt like it was a family reunion in a lot of ways because I don’t get to be on set as much as I would like to be.

The day has finally come and #thebetrAyal is here. So who will betray the Liars on the midseason finale of ABC Family’s Pretty Little Liars?

Fans by and large are betting the culprit is Paige (Lindsay Shaw) as she currently holds a commanding lead with 44 percent of tweets on the network’s suspect tracker . But could she really be on the “A” team? Or is she just a decoy?

Upon watching the finale with Shay Mitchell and Ashley Benson, executive producer Marlene King told Celebuzz the girls “were screaming and crying. I think it’s become, for so many of us, our all time favorite episode. It’s so thrilling to watch it; So many unexpected moments. You are constantly on the edge of your seat in this episode.”

With so many questions, Celebuzz caught up the PLL mastermind on Monday to see if she’d spill any secrets about what to expect from the mid-season finale. 

Celebuzz: What can you tell us about the summer mid-season finale, “The Lady Killer?”
Marlene King: In house, our secondary title [for the finale] was “Justice for Maya” and I feel like that’s something that we haven’t really said too much about. This is the episode where those die hard Emayans [Emily/Maya fans] who were so broken hearted during the last finale will feel a sense of justice by the end of this finale.

CB: Will this be the end of the Maya’s (Bianca Lawson) storyline then? How will Emily come out at the end of it all?
MK: The final clip of hers is in [Tuesday's] episode. It’s a beautiful, beautiful clip for her. Shay and I were just talking about this the other day. Last season, “A” really preyed on Emily because “A” considered Emily to be the weakest link of the Pretty Little Liars. It really is because of “A” that Emily’s character has become, we feel, by the end of [Tuesday's] episode, the strongest of the Pretty Little Liars. She is very empowered by the end of the episode. We love her character sort of going full circle like that.

CB: In a promo for the episode we’ve seen Mona (Janel Parrish) leave the sanitarium and don her black hoodie. What part will she play?
MK: You see Mona walking out of Radley as a nurse. She is out and about in the world and she’s A,  but you’re going to meet the other black hoodie that we introduced in last week’s episode closer.

CB: Is the betrayer responsible for both killing Maya and stealing Ali’s (Sasha Pieterse) body?
MK: Maybe. Maybe not. I can’t answer that without giving something away. It’s not necessarily the same person I would say.

CB: With all signs pointing to Paige as the betrayer, our theories are focusing on other less obvious characters? Could these characters such as Nate (Sterling Sulieman) and Jenna (Tammin Sursok) be part of the bigger “A” picture?
MK: There’s a lot going on in the finale. The ultimate betrayal is the person we find out who is on the “A” team and one of those 12 people on that suspect board is the character. Though there are definitely multiple betrayals in the episode.

CB: Another finale and another death in Rosewood. We’ve seen pictures and a clip of Hanna being held by Aria (Lucy Hale) and Spencer (Troian Bellisario) as the body is being put into the ambulance and Emily is questioned. What can you tell us about Hanna’s (Ashley Benson) involvement?
MK: I really can’t, except to say I love that scene. I’ve seen it at least 10 times. I still cry every time I see it. And my assistant Kyle [Bown], who’s a dude, saw it with me the first time and we looked at each other and we were both bawling our eyes out. It’s a tear-jerker. It’s a great scene.

CB: With this scene, it seems that maybe “A” has picked a new favorite Liar to antagonize?
MK: It’s a good theory. Mona’s out now and Hanna was her No. 1 target.

CB: You also tweeted that in order to prevent the reveal of the ultimate betrayal, you shot multiple betrayals? Will we ever see those? Perhaps as deleted scenes on a DVD set?
MK: I hope so. We have the footage and I know I took some pictures on that day because it was just so much fun to have all those characters on set at the same time in the black hoodies. I can’t wait to show those pictures.

CB: After a few episodes away, Toby (Keegan Allen) will be back in the finale. What can you tell us about his reunion with Spencer? And will we find out what he has been doing while he’s been away?
MK: Yes you will. Their reunion is incredibly romantic. We’re thrilled to introduce this new band called Baratach that — one of the members of that band is our director Lesli Linka Glatter’s son –they wrote this song called “The Backpack Song” and it’s just such a perfect Spoby/Toby song. When they have their beautiful romantic reunion that song plays. It’s really heart melting, sweet, pure romance.

CB: Now that Aria has met Maggie (Larisa Olyneik) and we’ve seen pictures of her interacting with Ezra (Ian Harding), will we get resolution for Ezra’s baby mama drama?
MK: The story furthers in the finale, but you won’t have resolution. It will continue on.

The summer finale of Pretty Little Liars airs Tuesday at 8 PM on ABC Family. Tune in at 11 AM for a marathon of Season 3A prior to the finale.

The unveiling of #thebetrAyal is just one day away on ABC Family’s Pretty Little Liars midseason finale and the anticipation is killing us. Just who could be responsible for killing Maya (Bianca Lawson) and stealing Ali’s (Sasha Pieterse) body? Is it Paige (Lindsay Shaw)? Ezra (Ian Harding)? Lucas (Brendan Robinson)?

Tuesday’s episode of ABC Family’s Pretty Little Liars threw some major developments into the pot before next week’s revealing summer season finale and most were concerning Emily’s (Shay Mitchell) girlfriend Paige (Lindsay Shaw).

While we knew Paige and Allison’s (Sasha Pieterse) past relationship was not going to be a friendly one, we didn’t realize just how down and nasty it would get. And with a warning to Emily from Jenna (Tammin Sursok), could we now know who the betrayer and killer is?

Note: Spoilers Ahead if you haven’t seen Tuesday’s episode, “Single Fright Female.”

Before we get to the juicy details regarding these girls’ sordid past, let’s make a quick pit stop over in Montgomery land where Ezra’s former girlfriend, Maggie (Larisa Oleynik) made an appearnce. To ease Ezra’s (Ian Harding) concern over her well being, Aria (Lucy Hale) found Maggie and pretended to be a coed interested in teaching to ensure she was OK. Too bad, she also found out that she has a son named Malcom, around the age of 7 who happens to look a lot like Ezra. Conveniently when Ezra called her to check in, she decided to leave out this information. So the question now is… Is this baby actually Ezra’s? We guess we’ll have to wait until next week’s finale to find out.

As we will for the reveal of “The Lady Killer” and the betrayer whom we’re assuming is one and the same. On Tuesday, it was all about Paige. Apparently, the swimmer has had a thing for Em for quite some time now and Allison was well aware of her crush. In a flashback of Cece (Vanessa Ray) and Allison we see the two talking about how Ali pretended to write a note to her from Emily saying how she often had hot fantasies about her even though she had a boyfriend. While the flashback ended with Ali threatening Paige about her secret crush and exclaiming, “I own you now,” CeCe also mentioned to Spencer, “I think Ali was a little scared of that girl.”

Upon hearing this information from Spencer (Troian Bellisario), Emily wasn’t having any of it. Of course, Spencer thought if perhaps she and Hanna (Ashley Benson) could get some proof, then Em would have to listen. Cut to them finding Ali’s earring in Paige’s bag. Um, WHAT?

Paige was surprisingly forthcoming with Emily at the end of “Single Fright Female” going so far as to say “I knew her well enough to hate her guts” in reference to Ali. Then with a warning from Jenna to “be very careful who you spend time with Emily. Very careful” all signs appear to be pointing to Paige as the one responsible for Maya’s (Bianca Lawson) death. But is it really that obvious?

Hear us out here because we might be talking crazy, but does anyone else think Nate (Sterling Sulieman) could somehow be involved in something? Or at least the reason behind Jenna’s warning? The boy appears to have some serious anger and resentment issues when scorned by the opposite sex. Not only did he lash out at Emily after she told him they needed to remain just friends but he also got testy when Hanna told him that Jenna had pretended to be blind. To top it off, he appeared very annoyed with the parts of Emily’s personality that reminded him of Maya. There’s just something about her cousin that makes us uneasy. SUPER uneasy.

Of course he isn’t on ABC Family’s suspect tracker so it looks like we can cross him out as the betrayer for next week or so they want us to think?? Paige is still leading the tweets by fans for their No. 1 suspect with 40 percent of the votes but let’s just say she’s not the only one in our heads.

OMG: Spencer finds Ali’s earring in Paige’s bag!! Good luck explaining that one Paige!

Thank you, TV gods: For now, it appears things are out in the open between Em and Paige as they both spilled secrets to each other during the episode but could Paige have even more, maybe deadly secrets hiding up her sleeve? We’re not sure, but we’re happy people at least seem to be telling the truth these days. Secrets kill people.

Awk-ward: How unbelievably awkward was Paige and Spencer’s scene in the shop talking about fresh starts? Seriously, it was hard to watch.

Hotness: Caleb (Tyler Blackburn) surprising Hanna in the dressing room and then telling her he needs to touch her. HOTNESS!!

Fab-u-lous: Most of the dresses at CeCe’s shop were cute but Spence’s was definitely the best. You can pick it up at Anthropologie.

Can. Not. Wait.: Original “A” Mona is back next Tuesday and it’s t-minus 7 days until #thebetrAyal… Who is at the top of your suspect list?!?!
