Carson Daly was an MTV staple for over a decade, so it seems fitting that his daughter was born on the same day as the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards. You know what they say: like father, like daughter.

“Tonight at 5:15 p.m. we welcomed the latest addition to our family. Etta Jones Daly weighs 8 lbs. and is beautiful!” Daly posted on his Facebook page. Daly and his girlfriend Siri Pinter already have a three-year-old son, Jackson James Daly.

How did The Voice host celebrate?

“Mom was a rockstar, Jackson James is a proud big bro, and Dad’s drinking a cold one. Praise God,” he wrote.

Pinter has been keeping her readers informed about her pregnancy on her food blog Siriously Delicious. She recently blogged about her pregnancy cravings.

“As we’re nearing the end, and I’m cooking less and less, I thought I’d share with you some of my pregnancy cravings this time around,” she wrote. “To be honest, there wasn’t a ton I wouldn’t eat.”

She continued: “With my firstborn, I was terribly turned off by chicken and fish and coffee (even decaf). But baby girl, she ate anything and everything.”
