Since we’re still days away from the release of Miley Cyrus‘ upcoming single, the world has been bestowed with the music video to her collaboration with Snoop Dogg Lion to tie fans over.

Released Thursday morning, the video for the reggae-inspired track, “Ashtrays and Heartbreaks,” features the “Can’t Be Tamed” singer’s image superimposed on an urban landscape. Yes, a song about reflections has a music video of just reflections. Clever.

The super-chill tune is featured on Snoop’s recent album, Reincarnated.

As for Cyrus’ own music, her single “We Can’t Stop” will be out June 3 with her much-awaited fourth album due out later this year.

Now that the festivities revolving around the two Coachella weekends have died down, the people of Hollywood must head back to the city to get back to their old routines. For celebs however, “routine” isn’t too painful of a notion. And lucky for us, the old routine means new Twitpics and Instagram posts.

In preparation of the upcoming Star Trek sequel, Zachary Quinto has been travelling around the world alongside Chris Pine and director J.J. Abrams. This week, Quinto posted an Instagram of himself looking dapper amongst umbrellas and gloomy weather for a photocall in Russia to keep us all updated.

On the other side of the pond, the Big Apple was a popular spot for celebrity tweets this week.

Selena Gomez spent some time at VEVO headquarters in NYC to promote her new single, “Come & Get It,” and posed for a picture with some young fans. One of whom was wearing an ironic t-shirt with Gomez’s rumored ex, Justin Bieber, on it. Interesting considering that Bieber posted an Instagram post days later of what appears to be him and Gomez cuddling. These pop stars just can’t seem to make up their minds!

Elsewhere, Gomez’s Spring Breakers co-star James Franco posted a selfie looking as awkwardly handsome as he usually does, as he walked home from the Tribeca Film Festival. Oh, to be walking on the street and have James Franco casually graze past you.

Snoop Dogg has also been having fun in NYC this week, judging by the Instagram of him hanging out with British hunk, Jude Law. This is a bromance that is surprising, but oddly endearing just the same.

Are they or aren’t they together?

It’s the perennial question that’s been plaguing Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth‘s embattled engagement for months. But just as the split rumors started settling amid reports that the wedding is still on, Cyrus’ latest musical collaborator, Snoop Dogg — with whom she teamed up for the reggae-tinged track, “Ashtrays and Heartbreaks” — has cast more doubt on the couple’s road the altar.

“The ‘Ashtrays and Heartbreaks’ single I have out with Miley Cyrus is doing very well because it’s one of those records that speaks to change, turnaround, ya know, just going through things. And we both just going through something right now,” Snoop explained in a segment on HuffPost Live.

Pray tell, Snoop: What is Cyrus “going through”?

“I can’t speak for her, ya know what I’m saying, but I know that she has a relationship that no longer exists,” he continued. “I know she’s probably in a transformation change with her life, her music [and] her career.”

While Snoop didn’t mention if said relationship was with fiancé Hemsworth — to whom Cyrus has been engaged since June 2012 — the rapper did offer a bit of advice for his music-making colleague during her time of turmoil.

“She’s 20 years old and she’s an awesome artist to work with. She knows what she wants in life,” he said of the former Disney darling. “I feel like maybe this is a time for her to take charge like I’m taking charge.”

It’s basically a black hole for hemp-loving celebrities: Sierra Blanca, Texas. The small town in the southwestern part of the state has made headlines for the drug busts of Willie Nelson, Fiona Apple, Armie Hammer and the artist formerly known as Snoop Dogg. Nelly‘s tour bus was also stopped in Sierra Blanca, though he was never charged with a crime.

Sierra Blanca became a major transportation hub in 1881 when the Texas & Pacific Railway met with the Southern Pacific Railway in Sierra Blanca to create the nation’s second transcontinental railroad. However, as the use of trains has lessened in the century since so has the population of Sierra Blanca. The 2010 Census lists Sierra Blanca’s population at just 553 people in just 172 households.

So how has a town of less than 600 people developed such a reputation for busting celebs with drugs? And what are these stars doing in Sierra Blanca?

Location

Sierra Blanca sits right on I-10, a highway that stretches from Florida to California. The highway is an important route for tour buses and film crews traveling across the country, particularly through the southwest. This explains why stars like Apple, Hammer, Nelson and Dogg (sounds like a terrible law firm) would be in Sierra Blanca at all. Sierra Blanca is also only about 88 miles away from Cuidad Juárez, Mexico. Any car that crosses the border from Mexico would have to take I-10 leave El Paso. Which explains why…

Checkpoint

There is a major border patrol checkpoint in Sierra Blanca. All cars traveling eastbound are stopped. The checkpoint’s main purpose is to catch anyone sneaking across the border, however Juárez’ reputation as a major hub for the Mexican drug trade explains where there are also so many drug dogs at the Sierra Blanca checkpoint.

“If there is marijuana in the middle of a can of jalapeños, the dog will smell both of them but ignore the jalapeños,” Border Patrol spokesman Bill Brooks has said. “These dogs are raised to work. They are excited to work. They never sit still; they can’t wait to find their next bust so they can be rewarded for it.”

And don’t bother flashing your fancy medical marijuana cards. “This isn’t California!” Rusty Fleming, public information officer for the Hudspeth County Sheriff’s Office, says. “Ninety percent of the people out here will try to flash their medical marijuana cards. Snoop flashed his real quick. But those don’t matter to us.”

In addition, don’t count on fellow celebrities to have sympathy. In another bizarre celebrity connection, Steven Seagal works as a reserve sheriff’s deputy in Sierra Blanca and works at the checkpoint several times a month.

So What Happens

Both Armie Hammer and Fiona Apple spent the night in jail following their arrests. Nelly was never arrested as a member of his entourage took the fall for the marijuana, heroin and guns found on his bus. At the time of Willie Nelson’s arrest, he had more than a quarter of a pound of marijuana, a felony. That was adjusted later, to make it a misdemeanor. Legend has it the prosecutor offered to drop the charges entirely if Nelson would sing a song in court; he paid a fine though.

There really isn’t a better way to get from southern California to southern states, without crossing through Sierra Blanca. Bus companies have, however, began to warn celebrities “to abandon all illicit items if they do happen to sneak some aboard.”

Today is the day that marijuana aficionados wait for each year — 4/20, a.k.a National Pot Smoking Day.

It’s become an counterculture holiday that people across the world celebrate with the conspicuous consumption of cannabis. And as the tide continues to change on the legality of marijuana in America, more and more celebrities seem to be lighting up.

It may have started off less mainstream, as comedians Cheech & Chong, country legend Willie Nelson and even rapper Snoop Dogg publicly puffed the magic dragon.

But as stigma surrounding the five-leafed flora slowly goes up in smoke, many others have been caught going ganja: Justin Bieber cheekily apologized on SNL after puffing on a blunt at a party; most-decorated Olympian Michael Phelps said sorry after photos surfaced of him ripping a bong; and everyone from Chace Crawford, to Aaron Carter, to Macaulay Culkin, to Frank Ocean have been cited for pot possession.

Other stars openly embrace getting stoned: Justin Timberlake told Playboy he lights up to “stop thinking;” Lady Gaga told 60 Minutes she “smoke[s] a lot of pot when [to] write music;” and Kristin Stewart told Vanity Fair her high habit is no “big deal.”

So as pothead across the globe puff pot this April 20, we’re celebrating by taking a look at the celebrities who will bring high times to Hollywood this holiday.

After years of radio silence from Miley Cyrus, the former Disney star has finally debuted a new track.

Produced by hitmakers Diplo and Ariel Rechtshaid, “Ashtrays and Heartbreak” is a collaboration with rapper Snoop Dogg — or Snoop Lion, as he calls himself these days.

Living up to Snoop’s reputation, the super chill tune features the two chart-toppers crooning about — what else? — smoking and romance.

“Tonight there’s gonna be a whole lot of smoke in the air,” Cyrus sings. “Blow it hard for the ones who ‘aint here.”

The 19-year-old, who briefly left Twitter to work on her music in March, also tweeted a photo of herself jamming to her latest song Wednesday, writing:

The NCAA Men’s Basketball Final Four will be held in the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, Georgia from April 6th to April 8th.

But college basketball has always maintained a special place in the hearts of stars like Matthew McConaughey (who follows Texas) and Billy Cosby (who is mega-loyal to Temple) who have kept ties to their hometown or alma maters strong over the years.

It’s nothing but a g-thing to Snoop Dogg.

The infamous rapper showed up to famed photographer Terry Richardson‘s studio for his latest revealing photo shoot and brought the party favors.

The 41-year-old was snapped puffing on what appears to be a marijuana cigarette while striking some fierce poses like only Snoop can do, from track suits and the big bling to blue fur and more outrageous outfits.

The artist formerly known as Snoop Dogg has kept busy in 2013, releasing a new video for the single “Here Comes the King” off his new “Reincarnated” album under the new reggae-inspired moniker Snoop Lion. He also came out with a documentary about his career-changing journey under the same title.

The hip hop heavyweight decided to make the singing switch to focus on his love of all things Rastafaraian that actually features very little rapping.

Richardson, who’s been known to snap many stars in the nude from Rihanna to Victoria’s Secret models, immediately became close with the rap legend. But forget the flesh, these pics are signature Snoop.

Only in their wildest dreams would anyone ever peg Elton John, 65, and Eminem, 39, as buddies.

However the hot-headed music legend bonded with the once wild rapper when he helped him battle his addictions back in 2009.

While it was a rocky start for the pair — who came to blows over Eminem’s derogatory comments about homosexuality — the “Bennie and the Jets” singer helped counsel him through his recovery.

They might not have the same taste in tunes, but charity work brought Bette Midler, 66, and 50 Cent, 37, together and their love of music maintained their friendship.

Midler was over the moon to get the hip-hopper on board with her New York Restoration Project which creates and restores community gardens.

“He’s really made my life worth living,” she gushed. “50 has been with me through thick and thin.”

This single is following up from her MTV Buzzworthy debut track “Do My Thang.”

The sassy 12-year-old says of the single:

“I’m really excited to be releasing my second single, ‘SMH’,  I hope everyone likes it; I had a lot of fun recording the song and just as much fun shooting the music video! I can’t wait for fans to see that soon!”

The combined talents of Lady Gaga and Snoop Dogg, together on one song? It could be closer to reality than one would think.

The Doggy Style rapper put out an All Points Bulletin to the Pantless One via a YouTube video on Monday, making his desire to record a “real nice freaky deaky of a song” with the “Alejandro” chanteuse known.

For Cameron Diaz, it was apparently very easy being green as a teenager—she just turned to her school chum, Snoop Dogg.

The Charlie’s Angels beauty appeared on Wednesday’s edition of Lopez Tonight and revealed a very intriguing connection to the Doggy Style rapper—the two attended Long Beach Polytechnic High School together, and the two might have even shared an illicit financial transaction or two.

Diaz spilled,

“We went to high school together. He was a year older than me….I remember him, he was very tall and skinny. He wore lots of ponytails…I’m pretty sure I bought weed from him. I was green even in high school.”

And so we discover yet another talent of Jimmy Fallon‘s: Master rapper. Or at least passably competent rhyme-spitter.

Musician-turned-The Social Network star Justin Timberlake guested on Fallon’s late-night talk show on Wednesday, and eventually the conversation turned to their mutual love of hip-hop.

And then, it was on.

Accompanied by Fallon’s house band The Roots, Fallon and Timberlake took to the stage and ran through a virtual history of hip-hop, starting with the Sugar Hill Gang classic “Rapper’s Delight” before touching on The Beastie Boys, Snoop Dogg and Eminem, among other rap luminaries.
