After a tumultuous on-again, off-again relationship that included a November 2008 wedding and a legal separation in June 2010, the Hills villains have renewed their wedding vows, ET Online reports.

Montag and Pratt re-tied the knot during an intimate, pre-sunset ceremony at a beachfront house in Southern California on Sunday. And this time, the couple notes, it’s for real. Really. Pratt noted of the marriage reboot,

“[This time] it’s just me and my bride on a little secret beach with nobody else and it’s just about her. Versus last time it was about everything else, it was about drama, it was about ratings.”

Montag, who was wed in a  Jenny Yoo gown, confirmed,

“It was about everyone but us, so this is really our first wedding about Spencer and I and our love. Now I feel like I can finally just be Heidi and just be in a marriage and just be a person. I’m just really enjoying every day.”

The site has extended an offer to the cash-strapped reality TV couple for $100,000 to “manage the odds and lines surrounding the entertainment sector ‐- ranging from celebrity news and pop culture to music and movies.” The only hitch? They’d have to move to Costa Rica, where the site’s operations are based.

Pratt is currently said to be entertaining the offer—though, due to recent political troubles between Costa Rica and Nicaragua, he’s “looking into how he can legally own a firearm over there so that he can protect himself.”

In a Life & Style exclusive, the much-maligned duo say that constant overspending on houses, surgeries, Heidi’s failed music career — and yes, healing crystals — led them down a financial waterfall that has now left their bank account totally dry. So dry, in fact, that they’re now shacking up in Spencer’s parents’ house.

“We were immature, worrying too much about the famous part instead of the actual business part … In hindsight, we shouldn’t have spent any of our money. We should have been low-key and saved. We spoke with a bankruptcy attorney and I’ve looked into unemployment checks,” Spencer told Life & Style.

The couple say they now owe $2 million in taxes, which may cause them to file for bankruptcy.

How could this happen? According to Spencer, the Jersey Shore takeover quickly put an end to their Hills cash cow.

“We thought The Hills was going to be like 90210 and we’d have another five to 10 years,” Spencer says. “The ratings were consistent. But we never saw Jersey Shore coming. Before, TV audiences were fine with seeing us all argue, but now they want you to punch one another in the face and hook up with three different people. Our cast was a bit boring and snoozeworthy in comparison. No wonder we got canceled.”

Spencer once famously told David Letterman that he got a “minimum $100,000″ for appearing at nightclubs during the height of his fame. He was subsequently mocked by the Late Show host, who called his claims “nonsense.” Watch it below:

Heidi says that she considered posing naked for Playboy — even after appearing in the magazine clothed — in order to get some extra cash, but that Spencer’s parents talked her out of it.

Nowadays, the duo are sleeping in the Pratt family’s studio guesthouse, where Spencer’s parents provide groceries for them each week. Spencer knows this was a self-inflicted wound, telling the magazine bluntly: “We don’t want sympathy … We did this to ourselves and feel like idiots. But we’ve grown up and are definitely not as naive anymore.”

TMZ reports that former Hills villainess Montag, who was due to dissolve her marriage to co-star/co-conspirator Pratt, has officially halted the divorce proceedings, filing a motion to dismiss with the Los Angeles County Superior Court.

Montag had filed for divorce in July, citing irreconcilable differences. However, the pair’s bonds were apparently re-strengthened by a grueling 12-hour stint of incarceration at a Costa Rica airport for weapons possession earlier this month. Shortly thereafter, the two were spotted locking lips at a California zoo. (Hey, it’s best not to question how love works—it’s magical, okay?)

We can only speculate that Pratt’s recent decision to shave his beard off might have sweetened the deal, too.

Most married couples in their mid-twenties are living on their own and supporting themselves financially. That’s not the case with Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag. According to Hollyscoop, Speidi has moved into Pratt’s mother’s Malibu home because they are now completely broke.

It’s no surprise, really. Pratt reportedly spent over $500,000 on crystals in the past year and forking over $20,000 a month to rent a beach house didn’t help their financial situation. Any and all money the two earned from starring on The Hills is apparently gone.

No word yet on whether or not he actually used the knife to shave his face, but regardless, he’s probably going to need some aftershave.

Hills charmers/former married couple Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag were briefly detained at a Costa Rica airport for possession of weapons over the weekend, and Pratt figures that the 12-hour incarceration is just the thing to heal their shattered marriage, which fell apart when Montag filed divorce papers earlier this year.

Pratt told the Associated Press on Monday,

“It was clear we’re soulmates. I don’t see any reason we can’t get back on track.”

Delusional thoughts from a man who’s prone to such flights of fancy? Surprisingly, no; Montag also says that the experience brought them closer together, perhaps to the point of reconciliation:

“As far as I’m concerned the last thing in the world after everything we have just been through is to go through with this divorce. But we are just taking life second by second.”

The pair were held by airport security when officers discovered two unloaded handguns, which authorities say they lack the permits for, in the couple’s luggage. Pratt claims that he brought the 9MM and 45MM weapons, along with ammunition, along for protection. Pratt and Montag were traveling back to Los Angeles via private jet—a formidable expense, given Pratt’s recent claims of poverty.

“People” for Pratt, 27, told TMZ he was arrested at a Costa Rican airport while en route back to the United States. Though it’s hard to believe anything coming out of Camp Pratt these days, arresting documents reportedly confirm Heidi Montag’s ex was “booked and processed at a local jail and later released after turning over the weapons and signing a confession with the DA.”

Now for the good part – Spencer’s excuse. The sex tape negotiator/movie director/tell-all author tells TMZ the “firearm” that led to his arrested was actually a “hunting weapon” leftover from a week of “living alone in the jungle” for “spiritual cleansing” purposes. He called the incident “an honest mistake.”

Still, the gimmicks continue on Pratt’s Twitter, where he wrote today: “Thanks to jail, I finally have something in common with Gandhi, Nelson Mandela, and that Lohan chick!” Fourteen minutes later, he backpedaled with a tweet that read: “Wait – I was in jail? Who the hell said that?”

Rumors swirled late last week that Montag was close to making a deal regarding the tape’s release, with Steve Hirsch, founder of Vivid Entertainment—which was said to be interested in distributing it—planning a trip to Costa Rica in order to hammer out the terms. (Montag and Pratt have recently been holing up in the Central American country.)

Alas, it appears that Montag has developed cold feet over the deal, per a letter that Pratt’s rep shot to Hirsch, which reads in part,

“Heidi’s made it very clear that she is not interested in releasing any tapes…It looks like she pulled the kill switch.”

And while Pratt had reportedly threatened to sell the tape against her wishes in the past, the letter adds,

“Spencer’s not interested in further destroying their relationship by pursuing an avenue she’s so vehemently against.”

And so ends the speculation about whether we’ll be seeing the radically reconstructed former Hills enchantress getting freaky with another chick on tape anytime soon. Speculation about whether such a tape actually ever existed, however, will no doubt continue to rage on.

Talking with RadarOnline, Shannon lays it all out there:

“There is a sex tape of me and Heidi … It’s just me and Heidi, that’s it.”

According to the Playboy beauty, Pratt stole her video camera, which contained the tape and refused to give it back. She also alludes to the fact that aside from any explicit videos of her and Heidi, the tape might have even more than just that.

“There are other things on there that I don’t want to come out, including the video of me and Heidi,” Shannon told RadarOnline.

After initially playing coy on the sex tape rumors, Montag has since come around to the idea of cashing in on the venture with Pratt. The two are reportedly negotiating with Vivid Video to release the tapes, and they stand to possibly make millions of dollars from it.

“I’m desperate to go back to normal,” she tells the magazine. “I’m downgrading and going a little smaller, to a D or a double D.”

Heidi underwent a staggering 10 plastic surgery procedures last November, thanks (or no thanks) to the late Dr. Frank Ryan. Now, Heidi says she feels “trapped” in her body and is taking anxiety pills as she shops for a surgeon in South America. She even blames her extreme makeover for ruining her marriage.

“No one wants to be taking care of his wife who looks like she’d been in a horrific accident,” she said, adding that Spencer “begged her not to do it in the first place.”

But Heidi also contradicts herself in the interview, telling Life & Style she is “mortified at the thought that people could be looking at me naked before I had the surgery.”

Nevertheless, she is swearing off new procedures (after the reduction,) and says she’d love to move to Costa Rica.

“I just really want to get out of Hollywood . . . I don’t have anything back home: no family, no friends.”

TMZ reports that the former Hills villainess is ready to strike a deal over the release of a sex tape that her soon-to-be-ex husband, Spencer Pratt, has been hawking to adult-video giant Vivid Entertainment. The tape, according to reports, features Montag getting busy with Pratt, and also footage of Heidi getting down and dirty with Girls Next Door girl Karissa Shannon.

Vivid honcho Steve Hirsch (pictured above right) is said to be on his way to Costa Rica—where Montag and Pratt have been holing up for the past several days—to negotiate over the tape’s release. According to a source, Montag has asked Hirsch for the sales numbers on Kim Kardashian‘s sex tape (which was also released through Vivid) because she might be interested in working a “back-end” deal (insert your own joke here) if Hirsch can’t pony up enough cash up front.
