Anna, 29, and husband Stephen Moyer, 42, are expecting their first child together, their reps confirm to Entertainment Weekly. Paquin is due this fall, and this will be the True Blood stars’ first child together.

Stephen has two children from his previous marriage.

The costars wed in 2010 after meeting and falling love on set of their hit HBO show. Congrats to the couple!

True Blood co-stars and real-life couple Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer were caught smooching on the set of Anna’s new film earlier this week. Anna, who is currently filming Free Ride in Miami, was surprised by her hubby with an impromptu set visit.

It looks like Anna really appreciated her husband’s kind gesture because the actress never left his side once the cameras stopped rolling!

Calling all fangbangers: there’s a new vampire in Bon Temps! Newcomer Aaron Perilo will be joining the cast of True Blood this season as Blackburn, an ancient vampire with an insatiable blood lust. In addition to his role on True Blood, this hunky actor will be lending his talent to the HBO series Luck, as well as the upcoming sci-fi thriller In Time, starring Justin Timberlake and Amanda Seyfried.

Aaron took time out of his busy schedule to chat with Celebuzz about his upcoming projects. and what it was like working out with the cast of True Blood – turns out Stephen Moyer is quite the jokester!

You grew up in a very theatrical family: two out of four of your siblings are also actors. What was it like growing up, do you all know you wanted to act from a young age?

I didn’t know that I wanted to act as a profession until my junior year of high school. I began doing theater as a young child and I was inspired by my older siblings because I would watch them at a very young age in theaters, and they kind of inspired me creatively. So, I tried it out and it was really fun! I was really just doing it for fun, I mean it’s still fun, so I chose that path because my motto is that I wanted to make money and have fun at the same time.

Were you a fan of True Blood before you got the part?

Yeah, I was a huge fan! I’ve watched every single episode religiously, so it was actually really surreal being on set and being in that whole fantasy world that I was obsessed with for the last few years.

Being such a big fan, what was it like auditioning for the role of Blackburn?

It was cool because I kind of had already done my research, just from watching the show. There is a certain sick sense of humor that the show has, I would say that was what I utilized the most in my audition, because my character does kind of have a bloodthirsty attitude. I just want to get bloody at the drop of a hat.

What can we expect from your character and from True Blood this season?

Well, what I can tell you: I get brought in to Bon [Temps] on a special request. I get sent for.

The vampire trend has been huge in the last couple of years ­– what do you think sets True Blood apart from the other shows and films about vampires?

Well its on HBO so you can kind of do a lot more with the grittiness and the gore, which I think is important for a vampire show. I mean, no offense to like, Vampire Diaries, or any of those shows, but its kind of child’s play compared to True Blood.

Did you watch any of those other shows?

I’m only a fan of True Blood when it comes to vampire shows. I’ve seen those other shows, yeah, I gave them a chance but they’re kind of…they’re kind of silly [laughs].

You mentioned that you’re allowed to do a lot more with HBO, and you’re also working on a new show Luck on HBO as well – what do you think it is about HBO that makes it so successful as a network?

They hire brilliant creators, like Allen Ball, David Milch and Michael Mann. They just use quality. They don’t treat their TV series as TV series, they treat them as mini-series, well, features really. Well, with Luck and True Blood, my experience was that they shoot like it’s a film, they don’t shoot like it’s a TV show, and they treat it as such.

What was it like working on set with the likes of Alexander Skarsgård and Stephen Moyer?

Yeah, it was great! I had a really great time. Stephen was the person who I worked with the most and he is hilarious, he’s a really funny guy. He just brings a lightheartedness to the set, which is really, really nice. Sometimes I’ve been on TV sets and its just way too serious and people get a little tensed up. But he is cracking jokes and just being funny and making things really nice. Alexander Skarsgård is a really, really nice person, he is probably the most humble actor I have ever met. He is just a really kind, kind soul.

Aside from True Blood, what can we look forward to seeing you in next?

I have a couple movies coming out at the end of the year. I have a small role in a movie called In Time, I worked with Justin Timberlake in that. That should be a really fun movie, it’s a sci-fi thriller. I have a dark comedy coming out at the end of the year, its called Sassy Pants [laughs], it’s a funny title. I worked with Hayley Joel Osmond, Diedrich Bader, and Ashley Rickards in that. That’s a dark comedy set in a small-town trailer park.

True Blood‘s damsel in distress Anna Paquin says she doesn’t mind that people fawn over her husband (costar Stephen Moyer), in fact, she likes it!

“There is probably something wrong with me,” she tells V magazine, “but I find it amusing to watch these men and women fawn all over him. It’s not like anyone is really trying to do anything inappropriate. They just want him to hug them … or bite them.”

When it comes to getting down with her husband on-set, she’s equally free-spirited. 

“Maybe it should be weird, simulating sex with your husband in front of people. But it’s really not,” she adds. “When its a love scene with someone you actually love it’s no ‘Can I touch him here, can I touch him there?’ You know what your boundaries are, or aren’t, I suppose.”

As for her character, she quips, “Sookie is always in distress, it wouldn’t be True Blood if someone wasn’t trying to kill her.”

In the new issue (on stands Friday, June 24), Skarsgard opens up about his die-hard fanbase, saying: “I’ll never get used to that… It’s just very, very humbling and flattering. The character Eric means so much to me and I’m having so much fun playing him. Of course it means a lot when you meet fans and you can actually tell there are people out there who really do care about the character. It means something to you, then. That’s kind of why you do this whole thing.”

Tuesday night, Alexander Skarsgard (solo), Stephen Moyer and wife Anna Paquin (glued at the adorable hip) and Ryan Kwanten (so hot, so talented) made a splash in Hollywood.

Alex was happier than ever to pose with fans inside “Fangtasia,” the True Blood after-party Tuesday in Hollywood. Alex never flinched at an adoring fan, and chatted with Kwanten and fellow ab-throb Joe Manganiello, who was accompanied by his gorgeous fiance.

Anna and Stephen couldn’t stop gushing at each other the whole night, while Joe did the same to his number one babe, dressed to kill in a gold Max Mara dress.

Despite all the women on the prowl for Alex, he was simply a gentleman, obliging many pictures with adoring girls but chatting with guy friends, mostly.

It’s hard to find a cast as down to earth, cool, and fun as the True Blood folks so trust us, it’s worth your while to tune into HBO June 26 at 9pm.

HBO’s sexy-vampy series has topped GLAAD’s annual survey of TV shows with the most gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered characters, with a tally of six. True Blood‘s gay-packed ensemble contributed to an overall 40 percent increase over last year’s survey, with a total of 35 gay characters across the television spectrum.

ABC held its spot as the most gay-character-friendly network, with 11 such characters included in its programming, while HBO led the cable pack, followed by ABC Family. This is the 15th year that GLAAD has conducted its survey.

GLAAD president Jarrett Barrios enthuses of the survey results,

“The increase in lesbian, gay and bisexual characters on primetime television not only reflects the shift in American culture toward greater awareness and understanding of our community but also a new industry standard that a growing number of creators and networks are adopting. The recent critical and commercial success of shows like Modern Family and Glee clearly indicate that mainstream audiences embrace gay characters and want to see well-crafted stories about our lives.”

The True Blood stud has donated his “Sock of Destiny”—i.e., the sock he uses to cover his genitals during the show’s many nude scenes—for an online auction to benefit the charity Gulf Aid, which provides relief to the victims of the oil spill that ravaged the Gulf Coat earlier this year. The best part? The sock is signed by both Moyer and his co-star/wife Anna Paquin, so authenticity—and perhaps a bit of ickyness—is assured.

So has the sock that’s being auctioned actually rested against the actor’s naughty bits? According to the auction page,

“Stephen did not say whether the sock had been used or not…and we’re not asking.”

We’ll leave it to you to decide if that’s a good or bad thing.

Moyer, who plays Bill Compton on HBO’s hit vampire series, is reportedly being eyed for the villainous Doctor Doom role in the upcoming reboot of the Fantastic Four movie series.

According to Fantastic Four lore, the character—alias Victor Von Doom—is a former schoolmate of Reed Richards (Mister Fantastic) who severely disfigures himself during a flawed experiment to communicate with the dead. He then embarks to menace those who he feels are responsible for the accident, including Richards and his Fantastic Four cohorts.

The character was last played by Nip/Tuck actor Julian McMahon in 2007′s 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer.

As for the role of Richards, 20th Century Fox is currently said to be considering either The Tudors star Jonathan Rhys Meyers or Cadillac Records actor Adrien Brody, with a strong preference for Brody.

Us Weekly confirms that the two Blood-suckers exchanged vows in front of their friends and family in a private Malibu, California home on Saturday night, as celeb pals like Elijah Wood and Carrie Preston watched. According to Us,

Paquin, 28, and Moyer, 40, exchanged their vows beneath a tent across the street from the beach.

The co-stars announced last summer that they were engaged and that their relationship began in 2008 while they were filming the first season of Blood.

This month, Moyer, Paquin and their co-star Alexander Skarsgard graced the cover of Rolling Stone totally in the nude, save for a good dousing of fake blood. In the accompanying interview, Paquin spoke about her relationship with Moyer, saying,

“I feel so lucky right now … Life is pretty great.”

The True Blood co-stars and real-life couple spent Thursday kicking it in Malibu with Paquin’s mother Mary, just enjoying the weather and, in Stephen‘s case, knocking back a bottle of O.N.E. coconut water. (What; you were expecting him to quaff down a refreshing glass of plasma?)

“If we go from a base level, vampires create a hole in the neck where there wasn’t one before. It’s a de-virginization…creating blood and then drinking the virginal blood. And there’s something sharp, the fang, which is probing and penetrating and moving into it. So that’s pretty sexy…Plus, Robert Pattinson is just hot, right?”
