When it comes to awards shows, there’s no better place to make a grand entrance than the MTV Video Music Awards.

Over the years, the VMA red carpet has seen its fair share of eye-popping arrivals — everything from yachts to monster trucks and, in the case of Ke$sha’s 2012 entrance, the DeLorean from Back to the Future. (Yep.)

Which celeb will make the grandest entrance this year?

With a lineup that includes Rihanna, Frank Ocean and Miley Cyrus, it could be anyone’s year to make a splash.

In preparation for the 2012 MTV VMAs, airing Thursday, Celebuzz is reliving the top 10 red carpet arrivals from past shows.

Among the highlights: Lady Gaga, who in 2009 showed up with — wait for it — Kermit the Frog; and Diddy, who arrived to the 2004 Miami show on a yacht alongside actor Bruce Willis.

Celebs were out in full force in Los Angeles on Friday at the Teen Choice Awards gifting lounge, which was hosted by Los Angeles based radio station KIIS FM.

From music stars like T-Pain to Glee stars like Dot Marie Jones, everyone sported their best smiles while they mingled and got some free swag. Some of the more outgoing celebs like Shar Jackson even stepped up to try the new I Am T-Pain Mic, complete with music and T-Pains signature auto-tune sound!

We think we have a new favorite summer toy! So who else made an appearance at the fun hangout?

High School Musical Star Lucas Grabeel, who’s now on ABC Family’s Separated At Birth, as well as Wizards of Waverly Place mom Maria Canals Barrera, accompanied several other Disney family members. The Real Housewives of Orange County cast member Gretchen Rossi chatted with Emmy-nominated Dot Marie Jones on the eve of the big Glee 3D movie premiere, which left us wondering — would the ‘Housewife’ be interested in making an appearance on the hit show?

In addition to hanging out with some of the hottest celebs, T-Pain took some time to give Celebuzz some scoop on his latest project. The rapper dished that his next chart-topping single will feature none other than songstress Lily Allen, and hopes to work with artists like Andre 3000 and Carrie Underwood in the future. We can’t wait to hear what those collaborations will sound like!

The 2011 Teen Choice Awards hosted by Kaley Cuoco will air this Sunday night at 8 pm on FOX. Make sure to tune in to see if all your favorite take home the coveted award!

Taylor Swift stepped out of her comfort zone at the CMT Awards on Tuesday night, busting out some previously hidden mad rhyming skills with rapper T-Pain for the ceremony’s opening number, “Thug Story.”

A gritty song about the skills that one needs to survive on the streets—such as, in Taylor’s case, baking cookies—served as an early high point for one of the biggest nights in country music.  But the Fearless songbird’s night was far from over. The 19-year-old went on to pick up Video of the Year and Female Video awards for her clip “Love Story.” (The video’s director, Trey Fanjoy, also won kudos.) Looks like Taylor Swift is going gangster, y’all.

The 19-year-old Fearless singer was spotted rehearsing with “Good Life” rapper T-Pain for the 2009 CMT Music Awards in Nashville on Tuesday, and judging from their coordinated outfits, Swift is ready to take her music in a whole new direction.

In addition to performing at the ceremony—which takes place on June 16—Swift is up for two awards for her video “Love Story.”

Good luck, Taylor; hopefully your sojourn into the rap world doesn’t turn out to be as disastrous as some recent examples.

Stars have begun piling into Paramount Studios in Hollywood for tonight’s 2008 Video Music Awards ceremony. Perhaps no celebrity made a more impressive splash than rapper T-Pain, who arrived at the event venue atop an elephant. (Hmm; pachyderms seem to be a running theme with this year’s VMAs.)
