Justin Timberlake has quietly announced on Instagram the release date for his next album.

On Sunday, the “Mirrors” crooner posted a photo of himself, with a guitar and headphones in hand, and a piece of paper with the words, “THE 20/20 EXPERIENCE (2 OF 2) SEPT. 30TH.”

The album will be released some six months after the highly successful The 20/20 Experience (let’s just call this one 1 of 2), which to date has sold more than 1.5 million copies. The album, the best selling of 2013 so far, is also Timberlake’s most successful solo product.

One should note that Sept. 30 is actually a Monday and not Tuesday (the day of the week when albums are normally released). In recent years, releasing an album on a day other than Tuesday has become frequent among artists. Rihanna‘s latest, Unapologetic, came out on Monday Nov. 19, 2012. Taylor Swift‘s Red was released on Monday Oct. 22, 2012. And part one of The 20/20 Experience came out on Friday Mar. 15.

News of the sequel to 20/20 first made headlines in March of this year, when The Roots‘ drummer Questlove revealed that 10 more tracks would be released. JT later cleared up the rumor.

“The news that this is only the first half of the album, that’s true. There is another half,” he said at an album release party. “I’m not giving you a release date. That’s all I’m gonna say!”

Timberlake, 32, is scheduled to play a private show at the Roseland Ballroom in New York City on Sunday night. The event is JT’s first since teaming up with MasterCard.

His Legends of the Summer stadium tour with Jay-Z will kick off on July 17 in Toronto, Canada, followed by stops in cities including New York, Los Angeles, Vancouver and Boston.

Justin Timberlake’s got another hit album to his name.

Billboard is reporting that the singer’s third studio album, The 20/20 Experience, could sell between 950,00 and 975,000 before the tracking week wraps on Sunday.

Timberlake’s album was released on Mar. 19.

Since SoundScan began tracking album sales more than two decades ago, only 31 albums have sold more than 850,00 copies in a single week, according to Billboard.

Timberlake is part of that elite group — when he was a part of ‘N Sync, the band’s 2000 album No Strings Attachedsold 2.42 million in its first week.

What is certain is that JT’s album will top the week in sales, regardless of whether or not he hits the one million mark.

Timberlake, 32, will soon be preparing for his highly anticipated stadium tour with Jay-Z.

The Legends of the Summer tour will kick off on July 17 in Toronto, Canada.

With The 20/20 Experience dropping on March 19th, the vision for Justin Timberlake‘s upcoming album is getting a little clearer.

Timberlake surprised his Twitter followers on Wednesday night to post the album cover and track list for his first LP in nearly seven years.

“I wanted you guys to see this first!!! #albumcover #tracklist,” he shared with fans.

In no surprise, the black-and-white cover features JT rocking a suit and tie while getting his eyes checked — a cheeky reference to the album’s title.

“I was playing some of the stuff for my friends and they would come in and out of the studio, and I would say, ‘Hey, what do you think of this?’ My best friend said, ‘This is music that you can see.’ For some reason that stuck with me,” Timberlake explained about the inspiration for the album, his first since 2006′s FutureSex/LoveSounds.

The “Suit & Tie” crooner also revealed a hand-written track list, which features 10 tracks, including the two songs he debuted during a Super Bowl charity party on Saturday: “Pusher Love Girl” and “That Girl.”

Timberlake’s much-anticipated comeback is already making history. “Suit & Tie” set a Billboard record number for first-week plays, nabbing the 32-year-old the honor of the highest-debuting song by a male artist.

And adding to the accolade, Timberlake will rock the stage once more, this time with a Grammy performance on Sunday night.

For his first album in seven years, Justin Timberlake is going big.

The singer-actor has already roped in Jay-Z to lend his talents on this spring’s The 20/20 Experience, and now he’s enlisted an Oscar-nominated director to come aboard.

David Fincher will helm the video for “Suit & Tie”, Experience‘s first single, The Playlist reported on Friday.

“Suit & Tie” re-teams Timberlake with the A-List director; the two previously collaborated on 2010′s Facebook drama, The Social Network. Production reportedly began on the video last week, which will give audiences their first taste of Jay-Z and Timberlake’s collaboration.

Fincher is no stranger to music videos; he got his start lensing spots for such singers as Madonna and Michael Jackson. ”Suit & Tie” marks Fincher’s first music video since “Obey” for Nine Inch Nails seven years ago.

The 20/20 Experience drops March 19, with the video expected to premiere prior to release.
