Looks like Nicole Richie’s got two rock stars in her family.

The 31-year-old and her musician husband Joel Madden are proud parents to daughter Harlow, 5 and son Sparrow, 3.

And according to Richie, it’s Sparrow who’s been living the rock star life . . . at home.

“Joel, he performs and he does meet and greets and the whole thing and Sparrow’s seen that so he likes to do shows for us,” the Fashion Star mentor revealed on an episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, airing Friday.

“I actually work out of my house so everyone that works in the house, everybody has to go downstairs to the kitchen. Joel’s his bodyguard and Joel says he’s very busy and he stands on his step stool and he goes, ‘I’m very busy but nice to meet you,’” Richie said of the daily performance. “And we go stand in line and we shake his hand and you take a picture with him.”

Cutest. Game. Ever.

Happy birthday to the queen of comedy!

Ellen DeGeneres turns 55 this Saturday, and with over 30 years of hilarity behind her, DeGeneres is proving to audiences that she’s only getting funnier with age.

After clinching the title of Showtime’s Funniest Person in American in 1982, the comedienne’s career skyrocketed into the big leagues. DeGeneres landed gigs on the hit television show Open House and in the 1993 film, Coneheads.  But it wasn’t until 1994 that her laugh-out-loud comedy material became the basis of her very own sitcom, Ellen.

Besides small-screen television acting, Ellen has dabbled in voiceovers (Finding Nemo’s Dory ring a bell?), and, of course, hosts her hit daytime talk show, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, where she pulls pranks on Jennifer Aniston and Taylor Swift, begs Justin Bieber to pull up his pants, and makes YouTube stars into worldwide sensations.

But what really sets Ellen apart from everyone else (besides the fact that she’s totally awesome)?  She’s not afraid to be herself, of course! In 1997, Ellen made her homosexuality public on The Oprah Winfrey Show, and shortly after, carried it over to her television show, where her character also decided to come out to a very special guest star: you guessed it — Oprah.

So to celebrate the big day of everyone’s favorite comedienne, we’re taking a look back at Ellen’s rise to success and her most memorable moments.

It’s business as usual.

Days after filing for divorce from her husband of two years, Bethenny Frankel proceeded with her scheduled visit to pal Ellen DeGeneres’ talk show.

“Do I want to be doing this exact thing right now? No, but I can’t just only be on reality TV and show everything when it’s fairy princess, fairytale and then not take my hits when I have to,” the former Real Housewives of New York star said on an episode airing Wednesday.

“I’ve kind of had the best worst year ever.”

Last week, Frankel, 42, made her split from Jason Hoppy official by filing divorce papers in New York.

“I feel like a failure,” the mother-of-one told DeGeneres. “I really put it out there. I wanted the fairytale. I thought I had it. And Bryn is my fairytale . . . I get letters . . . so many people have been so supportive and some people are judgmental, and I really understand. But I also get letters from people saying, ‘Now I don’t believe in love’ — and that’s just not true. Love is everywhere.”

During the interview, DeGeneres reassured her friend that she was “not a failure.”

“Let me say this, I know you . . . I think people watch you and they’ve watched you on reality TV and they think they know who you are . . . and, I will just say nobody knows anything. Nobody knows your life. I know you’ve been trying to make this work.”

Prior to Frankel’s divorce move, the Skinnygirl founder and Hoppy announced that they had separated.

“It brings me great sadness to say that Jason and I are separating . . . this was an extremely difficult decision that as a woman and a mother, I have to accept as the best choice for our family,” she said in a statement in late December.

“We have love and respect for one another and will continue to amicably co-parent our daughter, who is and will always remain our first priority. This is an immensely painful and heartbreaking time for us.”

We can add dancing to the long list of things Andrew Garfield does well, as the star of The Amazing Spider-Man showed off his best moves to some of today’s most popular dance crazes for Ellen DeGeneres on Thursday.

The talk show host challenged the adorable Brit to do the dances on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, sans music, to help raise money for his charity, Worldwide Orphans Foundation. For each dance completed successfully,  the 29-year-old would receive $1,000 towards his charity.

Garfield not only did his best Gangnam Style, but he also performed the Irish jig, a belly dance and “Single Ladies.” With the hilarious bit, the star raised $10,000 dollars for his charity.

The star, who appeared on the program to promote the Blu-ray and DVD release of The Amazing Spider-Man, sidestepped questions about girlfriend and co-star Emma Stone, joking that he recently moved in with fellow co-star Denis Leary.

Garfield was also sporting some major facial hair on the show. When DeGeneres asked him if he was worried that he couldn’t grow a beard, the actor said, “yes.”

The talk show host then joked about how most men want to know that they can grow a beard well. “That’s the only reason to be a man,” explained Garfield.

Ryan Gosling sure has been in a silly mood lately.

The Blue Valentine star stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show, in an episode that airs today, and gave the host some footie pajamas as they got their fitness on. Ryan explained that his family sported PJ Onesies during the holidays, and decided to give Ellen a pair. How thoughtful!

Also, if you haven’t seen it yet, Ryan busted out the My Little Pony theme song during an interview. Check out the hilarious clip below.

Real Housewife of Beverly Hills Camille Grammer is kinda sorta setting the record straight about the reports she won’t return for season-two, telling Ellen Degeneres she hasn’t made up her mind.

“We haven’t decided that yet,” Camille tells Ellen on Friday’s show. “Right now, as everybody knows, I’m going through a divorce.”

The world is well aware that she is divorcing Kelsey Grammer, who Camille says urged her to do the show as he debunked to New York and took up with a younger lady (now-fiance Kayte Walsh). Viewers got to know the wife of the famed sitcom star, and not exactly in a positive light, considering she’s been dubbed the Most Hated Housewife Ever and was forced to shut down her Twitter account due to a high volume of haters.

Camille acknowledges people are “saying awful things” and “it’s very hurtful,” but she still might return for season-two of the Bravo dramafest.

“If I would do it, it would be to try to change my image. To try to change it around and have people see the other side of me that you don’t see on TV,” she told Ellen.

Ellen DeGeneres and her wife Portia de Rossi enjoyed an evening together at the Chateau Marmont hotel last night to celebrate the talk show hostess’ 51st birthday!

Eleven-time Emmy winner and makeup spokesface Ellen found out that she shares the same birthday as her 87-year-old fan Junebug Borden of Land O’Lakes, WI. So she took some time on her show to give Mrs. Borden a call to acknowledge both their birthdays.

Mrs. Borden’s daughter wrote in to say that she enjoys “a splash” of Jack Daniels while watching the show, which caused Ellen to remark that drinking while watching does make it funnier.

Junebug noted that the wind chill in Land O’ Lakes is 20 degrees below zero to which Ellen replied, “That must be why you drink.”

“You’re so cute, that’s what I love about you!,” Mrs. Borden exclaimed.

Ellen’s wife Portia, 35, obviously thinks so to.

Portia, 35, and Ellen have been going strong as couple since 2004 and are obviously not letting a little thing like Proposition 8—the ballot which was voted into law that caused gay marriages in California to be invalid—stand in the way of their marriage vows, which they exchanged in August of last year.

Images circulated last week of Ellen DeGeneres and Britney Spears in their best Charles Dickens garb, out Christmas caroling in a Los Angeles residential neighborhood.

And today, the episode of The Ellen DeGeneres show featuring the two holiday crooners finally aired!

Brit, 27, and Ellen, 50, traipse door-to-door in the clip, singing and decorating random people’s homes. Several of the surprised residents, particularly the first woman they approached, seem…a little puzzled.

Ellen gamely works in a plug for Britney’s new album, Circus, but the nonplussed homeowner still retains a “Yeah, so?” look on her face.

Robert Pattinson is on the verge of a breakout smash hit movie with Twilight, but as he tells it, things aren’t so chipper in his love life, People reports.

“No one else seems to get into a relationship with me,” Pattinson, 22, said during a taping of The Ellen DeGeneres Show set to air Friday.

Robert tells Ellen he’s a “relationship type guy.” 

“People like screaming at me. Actually they like screaming at me in relationships as well. No one wants to commit.”

To cheer him up, DeGeneres presented Robert, who plays timeless, 108-year-old vampire Edward Cullen in Twilight, with a pair of underpants with the words “bite me” on the rear end.

Perhaps one reason the British actor can’t find love is because, according to him, he’s a bad kisser.

When pressed on kissing scenes with his co-star Kristen Stewart, Pattinson told OK!, “It’s terrifying. Especially when you kiss and you’ve got to do it at a weird angle or something. But I’m skirting the answer because I’m a really bad kisser. That’s why I don’t want to go into details! I hadn’t kissed anyone for a while before the movie, so I’d kind of forgotten how!”

Camp Rock mini-diva Demi Lovato is completely over all the bullying she’s received in her young life; or so she insists.

According to People, the 16-year-old cover girl claims she was pushed around so much in 7th grade that she had to eventually be home-schooled.

What, was Miley Cyrus in her homeroom or something?

Lovato points out that the teasing most likely occurred because she was a working actress at the time. “I had a different lifestyle then everyone else.”

Hmmm. By some accounts, that’s still the case, Demi!

“I want to help with bullying,” she says. “Because there are girls who can’t just up and home-school and focus on their career.”

Yeah! Case in point: Dakota Fanning. She should be allowed to play characters who get sexually assaulted without everyone else butting in.

Right? Anyone…?
