Meanwhile, a collection of crowd-pleasers old and new joins Affleck’s blockbuster on home video, offering audiences a wide variety of entertainment that should both excite and educate them.

Unfortunately, Celebuzz was unable to publish an installment of our incredibly popular Blu-ray column last week. But to make up for it, we’ve added a few extra entries to this week’s Buzz on Blu to make sure that readers have the most comprehensive and in-depth coverage of both new and recent releases.

Pore over our picks for the week of February 19 and let us know which titles you’re most eager to pick up.

Argo (Warner Home Video)

The One-Liner: Ben Affleck hits the big leagues with his thrilling, breathless chronicle of the 1970 Iran hostage crisis and the fictional Hollywood production that helped rescue a group of imperiled Americans.

Picture Perfect? If not perfect then damn near close, thanks to a terrific, saturated HD transfer that maximizes the impact of Affleck’s sure-handed direction.

What Else Is There? A picture-in-picture commentary tops the list of extras, especially since it features interview footage with real people who went through and survived the experience, while a collection of featurettes examines the real-world context more in depth.

How Badly Do I Want It? A terrifically entertaining movie that qualifies as the best sort of art that mainstream Hollywood can offer, Argo is a terrific movie well worth watching, though whether it’s worth owning forever is up to your Affleck fandom.

The Insider (Buena Vista Home Entertainment)

The One-Liner: Michael Mann’s brilliant docudrama follows the experiences of a cigarette-industry whistleblower (Russell Crowe) whose life falls into disarray after he decides to appear on 60 Minutes.

Picture Perfect? Particularly given the sorry state of the standard-definition release that was available until now, this new HD transfer looks stunning, offering unparalleled clarity and color for a film with a distinctive visual palette.

What Else Is There? Two small featurettes are all that’s included on the new disc, which comes as a disappointment since there were three on the previous SD release, not to mention the fact that it’s a great movie that would benefit enormously from more perspective and insight.

How Badly Do I Want It? If you’re a fan at all of the film, the answer is “badly” – the transfer alone makes it worth revisiting, even if the extras leave much to be desired.

The Man With the Iron Fists (Universal Studios Home Entertainment)

The One-Liner: RZA’s directorial debut comes crashing home, offering fans an opportunity to see the rapper-producer in a new light as a blacksmith who transforms into the title character after a fiendish warlord attempts to take over his quiet village.

Picture Perfect? A great transfer ensures that the film looks great on the small screen, especially accompanied by RZA’s expert musical selections, giving it a quality that bypasses the grindhouse aesthetic in favor of something more polished.

What Else Is There? Two cuts of the film offer viewers the theatrical as well as a slightly longer version, while a collection of featurettes and some 25 minutes of deleted scenes expands the story and character development of the film.

How Badly Do I Want It? A fun movie especially for old-school martial arts movie fans, this is definitely worth watching, but it depends on how much you love RZA to determine whether or not you want to own or just rent it.

Monsters, Inc. 3D (Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment)

The One-Liner: Pixar returns to one of its biggest hits, transforming it into 3D in anticipation of the upcoming prequel Monsters University.

Picture Perfect? Pixar never skimps on transfers, and this one is no different, giving the film a sharpness and luster in two or three dimensions, making this the definitive presentation of the film (not the least of which because both versions are included).

What Else Is There? A short featurette included in the credits of the theatrical re-release offers some additional 3D content, while the remainder of the set includes just about every single extra or piece of content ever created in conjunction with the film.

How Badly Do I Want It? As the most comprehensive collection of Monsters-related content, this thing is a must-own, although if you don’t have a 3D TV, you probably won’t suffer too much without the material that was added especially for this set.

Skyfall (Fox Home Entertainment)

The One-Liner: Filmmaker Sam Mendes brings the James Bond franchise back to roaring life with this sprawling, action-packed thriller, which finds Bond (Daniel Craig) battling the forces of old age while trying to foil the plans of a disgruntled former associate of his beloved mentor M (Judi Dench).

Picture Perfect? Thanks in no small part to the top-notch work of cinematographer Roger Deakins, the film looks absolutely stunning, and the transfer carefully and consistently preserves his work.

What Else Is There? Two commentary tracks and an hourlong documentary dives head first into the production of the film, offering fans a massive wealth of behind-the-scenes material that perfectly complements the content currently available for previous Bond movies.

How Badly Do I Want It? This is a must-own – it’s easily one of the best action movies of 2012, and a terrifically smart and engaging thriller that will entertain all sorts of audiences.

Top Gun 3D (Paramount Home Entertainment)

The One-Liner: Tom Cruise’s 1986 breakthrough returned to theaters for a week before coming in for a graceful landing on Blu-ray as a glorious 3D movie worthy of this generation’s best possible technology.

Picture Perfect? While the transfer retains most or all of the grain that was inherent to Tony Scott’s original cinematography, the 3D conversion sacrifices no clarity or smooths over period texture to satisfy contemporary viewers.

What Else Is There? Nothing new, which means that anything you’ve already seen on previous Blu-rays is all you’re going to get.

How Badly Do I Want It? If you’re a 3D collector, this is a must-own movie, but if not, there’s no real reason to make any effort to buy it – not the least of which because you won’t be able to watch it any differently.

Undefeated (Starz/ Anchor Bay)

The One-Liner: This documentary won an Oscar last year at the Academy Awards after dexterously examining a small-town football program whose battle for victory proves to be an inspiration to the players and the community around them.

Picture Perfect? Not especially, although it looks fine – shot on the cheap, the disc services the handheld cinematography but otherwise fails to elevate the material to anything memorably cinematic.

What Else Is There? A commentary track offers the most profound insights about the process of making the movie, while a few brief featurettes further explore the town and the impact of the football program upon it.

How Badly Do I Want It? As an Oscar winner, the film is definitely worth watching, but it might not be a necessary addition to your Blu-ray collection – that is, unless your favorite film genre is uplifting sports movies, in which case, buy two or three copies.

Which of these films are you most excited to own? Watch an exclusive clip from Undefeated and then let us know your favorite in the comments section below!

With a domestic total of $90 million, the film’s worldwide grosses have already reached $518.6 million — making it not only the biggest opening ever for a Bond film, but sets the stage for the biggest international gross in the series’ history as well.

In the No. 2 spot, Disney’s Wreck-It Ralph scored another $33 million in receipts, bringing its total to $93.6 million after just two weeks.

With a reported cost of just $31 million, Robert Zemeckis’ Flight continues to perform modestly well, bringing in $15.1 million for a total of $47.7 million to date.

Ben Affleck’s Argo remains strong even after five weeks, earning another $6.7 million in revenues. The film has almost doubled its $44.5 million budget, and its domestic haul to date is in excess of $85.7 million.

And Taken 2, Liam Neeson’s latest ass-kicker, took in $4 million, landing it at the Number 5 spot.

Meanwhile, RZA’s martial arts opus The Man With the Iron Fists dropped to No. 9 with a box office take of almost $2.5 million. The film earned $12.7 million to date.

Cung Le plays Bronze Lion, a character the actor says has a very “Cain and Abel relationship” with Mann’s Silver Lion. That was just one aspect of the drama that helped Cung zero-in on his role.

“I just fed off Byron and his energy,” Le said. “That and showing up to set everyday, putting on the costume… I didn’t have a hard time getting into character.”

“Actors just want to make a role their own,” Yune added, who plays Zen Yi, The “X” Blade. “Finding something interesting to bring to [the character], that was the focus for me.”

The Man With the Iron Fists hits theatres Friday, November 2. Watch the full interview above, and check out Celebuzz’s interview with Iron Fists‘s director RZA below.

For Dave Bautista, phrases like that are commonplace — at least when he’s in the ring as an MMA fighter. But Bautista says that he was informed that the same thing would happen even when he was not fighting for real as Brass Body in The Man With The Iron Fists, Wu-Tang impresario RZA’s action-packed directorial debut.

“I showed up on set one day,” Bautista tells Celebuzz, “and the second unit director said ‘Look, we’re going to shoot [the punch] in slow-motion and it’s going to look incredible. And it did.”

The Shaw Brothers-inspired film features several complicated kung-fu fight scenes that Bautista and his co-star, Sucker Punch’s Jamie Chung, executed with complete faith in their director, despite his newcomer status.

“RZA had so many things in his head,” Chung explains. “When he asked me to do something [intense]… I said ‘you’re going to get what you want, because in the end, you’re going to use it the way that you want.’ It really was ‘I’ll do whatever you want me to do.’”

The Man With The Iron Fists arrives in theaters November 2. Watch the full interview with Bautista and Chung above, and check out Celebuzz’ interview with RZA and his Iron Fists producer Eli Roth below.

But that wasn’t the only news to come out of Hollywood yesterday.

Here are a few stories you might have missed, plus a quick recap of Disney’s plans to conquer the world with The Force…

1. New Star Wars Movie Set for 2015. Holy Sh!@

George Lucas handed Lucasfilm and the Star Wars franchise over to Disney on Tuesday, along with treatments for Episodes VII, VIII and IX. Nerds everywhere rejoiced with resounding puffs on their inhalers.

Click here for more details on the future of Star Wars.

2. X-Men: Days of Future Past Finds a Director

Matthew Vaughn is out, Bryan Singer is in.

The director of the first two films in the original X-Men trilogy will step in for Vaughn to helm X-Men: Days of Future Past, Deadline reported on Tuesday.

Vaughn will serve as a producer on the X-Men: First Class sequel, which is on track to hit theatres July 18, 2014.

3. Producer Talks Status of ‘Bond 24’

James Bond producer Gregg Wilson sat down with Swedish film site Moviezine Tuesday to discuss the franchise’s future after Skyfall.

Contrary to internet rumors, Wilson confirmed that Benedict Cumberbatch has not signed on to play the villain in Bond 24. “I can confirm that none other than Daniel Craig has got a role in Bond 24,” Wilson told the site.

The producer also teased that the story for Bond 24, to be written by Skyfall co-author John Logan, will continue to “put Bond in situations that feel interesting” and help engage star Daniel Craig as an actor.

4. The Man With the Iron Fists 2 Could Happen

RZA’s directorial debut, The Man With the Iron Fists, arrives in theatres this weekend, but talk about a sequel has already begun.

Producer and co-writer Eli Roth (Hostel) told WeGotThisCovered.com of his early plans for a sequel.

“RZA and I talked about continuing the story while we were shooting [the first film]. We really wanted to write the foundation of something that could continue if we decided to. It was such a great fun, creative collaboration and obviously it depends on how the public likes it, but it is something we’d love to continue.”

5. Kurt Russell Set to Star in Horror Western Bone Tomahawk

Jack Burton himself, Kurt Russell, will headline an ensemble cast for first-time director S. Craig Zahler’s Bone Tomahawk, Variety.com reported Tuesday.

The story centers on Russell’s character, a sheriff, as he leads a small team to rescue people from “a group of cannibalistic troglodytes.”

Actors Richard Jenkins (The Cabin in the Woods), Peter Sarsgaard (Green Lantern) and Dexter’s Jennifer Carpenter also star.

No word yet on the film’s release date, but we’ll keep you posted.

Excited for the new Star Wars movie? Eager to see Kurt Russell back on the big screen? Chime in below! And speaking of Skyfall, watch the trailer for James Bond’s newest mission below!

On a newly-teased track called “White Dress” — off the soundtrack for The RZA’s forthcoming martial arts film, The Man With the Iron Fists — the hip hop mogul raps about seeing his “baby” at the altar. RZA, himself a rap icon and Grammy-winning music producer, revealed the song’s hook: “I seen you in the club in a tight dress/ But I picture you in church with a white dress.”

“Some of these girls, we wanna… maybe make a wife out of them. But they gotta get it together,” RZA explained of the tune to MTV News on the BET Hip-Hop Awards red carpet. “Kanye’s a dope lyricist, but what he did on this particular song… he’s killin’ it.”

Could it be that West is already envisioning Kardashian in white?

Well, not necessarily. Though he has been romancing the reality star since April, Yeezy seems to be reminiscing about a past love in his new tune, a up-and-comer who changed after she got a taste of the spotlight.

In a one-minute preview of the song (below), Kanye raps: “Remember I used to do things that would make you laugh/ Like ordering a girl drink in a masculine glass/ You like piña coladas, gettin’ caught in the rain/ Or rocking flannels all summer like Kurt Cobain/ Or that Dolce & Gabbana with a few gold chains”

“You the type of girl that probably deserve a new last name, but they never let us do our thing/ Everybody lying on who I bang/ We was on fire, but they blew our flame/ Ain’t no denying baby, you have changed/ Now your high-heels clickin’, your lip gloss glisten, your hips start switchin’”
