Last week, we asked our readers who YOU want to see shake their groove things on Dancing With the Stars and we have to admit, we’re pretty impressed with some of the answers!

While there were lots of expected responses, there were a few that caught us by surprise and made us wish we had thought of them first!

Some of the best picks? Fashion mogul Kimora Lee Simmons, actor John Stamos, the curvaceous Coco and country crooner Tim McGraw (to name a few).

While the brainstorming got us hyped for the upcoming seaosn, sadly we have to wait one more week to officially find out who will comprise the new cast when it’s announced on ABC during The Bachelor Pad on August 29.

Leighton strutted the red carpet with co-star Gwyneth Paltrow and a who’s-who of Music City crooners, including Faith Hill and husband Tim McGraw. Both Leighton and Gwyneth showcase their country singing chops in the upcoming movie about a washed-up star (Gwynnie) and her wide-eyed opening act (Leighton.)

Based on the newly-released trailer, it seems both Gwyneth and Leighton sing (croon?) in the film, even if newcomer Garrett Hedlund’s character says of Leighton’s up-and-comer: “You’re gonna let this prom queen get up on stage? Patsy Cline played here!”

Leighton fans will have to wait until the film’s December 22 release to see her go Country. Its holiday-season rollout could mean the movie will be positioned as an awards show contender. Let’s start the campaign early: Leighton for a Golden Globe in 2011!

The Fearless songbird used the occasion to show off her new, straightened hairdo. And though, much unlike last year, Swift didn’t walk away with any trophies, we think this look wins all by itself. (Swift wasn’t the only one showing off a new coiffure—Hayden Panettiere was also there with her short locks on display.)

The country star graces the cover of Shape magazine’s December 2008 issue in a bikini and shows the world what her hubby Tim McGraw has to look forward to when he comes home.

So what’s her secret for maintaining her remarkably well-preserved form? As it turns out—shockingly—lots of exercise.

In an excerpt from the Shape article, People magazine notes that Hill and McGraw took up a daily routine in July that includes four miles on the elliptical machine, light weight lifting, crunches and push-ups.

Hill augments this regimen with thrice-weekly Pilates classes, which she credits with restoring her flexibility.

“I could bend in ways I haven’t been able to since I was a teenager,” Hill raves. “My husband loves it!”

McGraw probably isn’t the only musician who’d appreciate Hill’s teen-like pliability.

“Security, get rid of this guy,” the singer announced into his microphone in the midst of performing “Indian Outlaw,” and without missing a beat, McGraw leaned over into the crowd and yanked the unruly fan with one arm until security arrived on the scene to help haul away the dude.

As if to underline his point, as soon as the unfriendly fan was taken offstage, Tim returned and began singing, “I ain’t looking for trouble…”

You gotta love the of DIY attitude Tim has about crowd control. Later on in the evening, McGraw was spotted changing the flat tire on his tour bus, lending a stalled car a jump with his battery and then helping an old lady cross the street and then tile her bathroom.
