Eli Manning to Follow Brother Peyton’s Footsteps as ‘Saturday Night Live’ Host (PHOTOS)

Who says sport stars only shine on the field? Super Bowl champ Eli Manning is set to take on TV as Saturday Night Live‘s latest host. Airing May 5, Manning’s episode will also feature Rihanna as the musical guest.

However, the 31-year-old New York Giants quarterback isn’t the only athlete who has accepted the big gig. Tom Brady, Lance Armstrong, and even Eli’s older brother, Peyton Manning, have all appeared on the sketch comedy show in the past.

In honor of Eli’s comedic debut, we’re taking a look back at other athletes who have hosted SNL.

The biggest buzz this week was definitely Sunday’s Super Bowl where the New York Giants won big in a very close game. Although New England Patriots’ quarterback Tom Brady played a solid game, it was just not enough to beat Eli Manning and his team. A sullen Tom was later seen consoled by wife Gisele Bundchen – who welcomed her hubby with hugs and kisses — after his Super Bowl defeat.

Denver Broncos’ Tim Tebow enjoyed his Super Bowl weekend by rubbing elbows with Hollywood’s hottest ladies. The single footballer was seen chatting with Extra hottie Maria Menounos on Saturday night. Later on, Katy Perry singled him out and dedicated a song to him at one of her performances in Indianapolis.

So is Tebow ready for Hollywood? Not just yet! Dancing With the Stars champ J.R. Martinez ran into the QB this weekend and, according to the war veteran, Tebow told him a stint on the famed dancing show is not in the near future.

“He said, ‘Maybe in a year,’” J.R. told Celebuzz. “That’s pretty much what he said.”

Meanwhile, Madonna kicked it into overdrive with a star-studded show at the Super Bowl’s halftime show. Nicki Minaj, MIA, Cee Lo Green, and LMFAO all pitched in to help the Queen of Pop perform a medley of her past hits.

The music industry went a-buzzing when Chanel head honcho Karl Lagerfeld insulted one of music’s biggest names. In a recent interview, Lagerfeld praised that although Adele has a “beautiful face and a divine voice,” he believed that the “Rolling in the Deep” songstress is “a little too fat” when compared to rising star Lana Del Rey.

Over the weekend, Demi Moore was admitted to Cirque Lodge in Sundance, Utah for an eating disorder and other addiction issues. The Margin Call actress has been on the mend since her split from husband Ashton Kutcher. Her latest health crisis resulted in a trip to the hospital after she had “smoked something” with friends.

Gisele Bundchen, 31, comforted her husband, Tom Brady, 34, shortly after his team, the New England Patriots, lost the Super Bowl XLVI in a close game to the New York Giants Sunday evening in Indianapolis.

Though he played a solid game, it wasn’t enough to stop Eli Manning and the Giants, who famously upset the Patriots four years ago, in 2008.

Enter Gisele, who was there to offer hugs and a little TLC as they made their way out the stadium.

In Defense of Tom Brady

Not every man can stand next to supermodel Gisele Bundchen and feel confident, but her gorgeous husband (and baby’s daddy) Tom Brady has done just that. Before Tim had even hit the pros, Tom was making ladies swoon in the stands and in Hollywood (you may recall he once dated and had a child with actress Bridget Moynahan).

Tom, 34, has honed in on his heartthrob skills and swagger by posing for magazine covers (GQ, Details, Esquire) and modeling for Stetson among others. While Tebow is still proving he has what it takes on the field, Tom has proven that he’s a hottie with staying power.

In Defense of Tim Tebow

While Tom Brady has long been the son of football (he does have more than a few Super Bowl rings under his belt), you can’t deny someone that has been deemed as “God’s Quarterback.” There’s also something sexy about Tim “playing hard to get” (or modesty) that makes him all the more appealing. And since Tom is taken, there’s more than enough Tebow to go around!

Aside from the pop culture phenomenon that Tim Tebow, 24, has become (Tebowing, anyone?) we have a feeling that there is the definitely possibility Tebow will put up a good fight against the Patriots. Hey, everyone thought the Broncos were going to lose against the Pittsburgh Steelers last week, and look what happened.

With the instant fame that has surrounded Tim comes crazy claims, so whether he’s rumored to be dating Katy Perry or heading to Dancing with the Stars this season, when it comes down to it, you can’t deny that he is a talented quarterback. Saturday’s game will prove to be an exciting one, and with two quarterbacks this gorgeous facing off, we’re all winners!

Supermodel mom Gisele Bundchen and her NFL husband Tom Brady were spotted with their adorable son Benjamin on Monday, Jan. 2, heading to the toddler’s favorite park in Boston, Mass.

The New England Patriots QB spent quality time with his family after his team’s big win over the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, clinching a NFL post-season and home-field advantage spot for the Patriots.

The couple looked happier than ever in the New Year and Gisele even took to her Twitter page to wish fans well wishes for 2012.

“I hope we can each make changes that will enhance and bring peace to the world. We have the power to shape our reality and lead by example. I wish you all a 2012 filled with love and light.”

Gisele Bundchen & Tom Brady Enjoy a Family Holiday Out (PHOTOS)

Even all bundled up, you can tell this is one good looking family. Supermodel Gisele Bundchen and her NFL husband Tom Brady enjoyed a family stroll through Boston, Massachusetts over the holidays. Their son Benjamin and Tom‘s son John braved the frigid weather as the parents toted them around in a stroller on Christmas Day.

Gisele, 31, wore a white coat, scarf and hat, while the New England Patriots quarterback, 34, wore a fur-lined coat, gloves and black hat.

This family won’t have to brave the cold much longer. The London Daily Mail reports the couple has bought a $20 million dream house near Los Angeles, Calif. The paper reports that the home boasts “a six-car garage, a lagoon-shaped swimming pool with spa, a weight room for Tom to train in and a wine cellar.”

Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady enjoyed some family bonding time yesterday afternoon with a chilly bike ride through Boston.

The sexy power couple bundled up in their best fall attire as they biked their way around town. Also along for the ride were baby Benjamin, who chilled out in a car seat of sorts, and Gisele’s dong, Vida, who sat wrapped in a blanket in a basket. Too cute!

The couple has been spotted in Boston a few times as of late, though Gisele was recently photographed in a bikini while she vacationed in the Caribbean.

Only days after she was spotted wearing a sexy bikini in the Caribbean, supermodel Gisele Bundchen was back in Boston Monday afternoon, where cameras snapped her holding hands with her hubby, NFL quarterback Tom Brady.

The happy couple was fittingly dressed for the fall weather, with Gisele in a black coat, scarf and jeans, and Tom in a jacket and sweatpants. Later in the day, their nearly-two-year-old son, Benjamin, was spotted out for a stroll with his nanny.

Forbes just released their list of the highest-earning celebrity couples. The top five money making duos made the annual list by their combined gross income between May 2010 and May 2011.

Our brains were raking over all the celeb couples sure to make the list: Tom & Katie, Ben & Jen, Gavin & Gwen and the first lady of the Black Eyed Peas Fergie and her hubby Josh Duhamel. Surprisingly, none of these couples made it!

Even more shocking, one of the youngest powerhouse couples did! Twilight sweethearts Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson cracked into the top 5 with their combined annual income of $40 million. They each earned $20 million from the success of the franchise’s third installment, Eclipse.

Because He’s Hot: Tom Brady Plays With His Adorable Dog, Lua (PHOTOS)

Tom Brady stepped in front of the camera on Thursday to shoot scenes for his upcoming UGG boots commercial. He showed off his sweet side, having fun on set with his real-life dog, Lua. How cute!

While shooting the new ads, Tom wore a unique camera called a Snorri Body Cam to shoot point-of-view scenes of himself playing with his dog in the park. The New England Patriots quarterback is a part of Ugg Australia’s first campaign for men called “The Man Under the Helmet.” The line will debut a new line of products and officially launches globally in September.

He and his wife Gisele Bundchen are both back to work after heading south of the border to enjoy a romantic Mexican getaway last month.

The two, who have been married for since February 2009, were seen canoodling and soaking up the sun at a gorgeous spot in Los Cabos, Mexico.

Recently, normally hot dudes such as Pete Wentz and Tom Brady were seen showing off some scraggly new ‘dos, but Twilight hunk Cam Gigandet has taken this whole “bad hair” thing to a whole new level.

The generally well-put-together Cam was seen at WonderCon in San Francisco this weekend while promoting his upcoming film Priest, and was sporting some interesting yellow tresses.

Cam told MTV the new look “was just for fun” because he was in the need of “something different.” He went on to say that he put his hair-based fate in the hands of a family member, which is rarely a good idea.

“My sister does hair and she’s great at it, but this is the first I’ve ever trusted her to do something,” he said.

Wrong! Recently, both of these fellas have been experimenting with their ‘dos, and while we respect their right to switch things up, we can’t say that they’re fully reaching their full handsomeness potential.
