It sounds like a good old-fashioned, action-packed western! To celebrate the release, Celebuzz has put together a gallery of some of the most memorable movie cowboys to ever hit the big screen. The gallery includes some of the most memorable performances in film history, and there is no shortage of star power. Big time celebs like Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon and Hugh Jackman have all flung the lasso and slung their guns on screen, but can you name the movies?

Most recently, he went on a green screen scooter ride with late night talk show host Conan O’Brien, or as Tom calls him “Coco,” that even had him running into his Toy Story character Woody. “Look it’s my favorite deputy,” Tom exclaimed as Woody hopped on the back of the moped. Tom loaned out his sweet dance moves to Spanish language Univision’s Despierta America’s weather report, proving that he’s not afraid to bust a move!

While chatting with Billy Bush from Access Hollywood, the actor also revealed that men’s tighty whities are “man spanx.” He said of his near-naked scene, “As long as there have been tighty whities, there have been Man Spanx.”

At the Los Angeles premiere of Larry Crowne, Tom showed up via Vespa to the red carpet!

Other stars in attendance included supermodel Selita Ebanks and Wilmer Valderrama, who plays a jealous boyfriend in the film. Wilmer recently sat down with Celebuzz and had nothing but good things to say about working with Hanks, who directed and co-wrote the film, and the rest of the cast. “Between the actors and the material, it was a love affair,” Wilmer told Celebuzz. “It was amazing to be on set.”

Inside the event is was a mini-That 70′s Show reunion as Wilmer mingled with his former co-stars, Danny Masterson and Topher Grace. Wilmer continued the fun at the official afterparty at Rolling Stone Café sponsored by Voli Light Vodka.

The Jonas Brothers hearrthrob and prolific ladies’ man revealed that he’s been working with the Emmy Award-winning producer of The Pacific recently, telling a reporter backstage on the Camp Rock 2 tour that he and Hanks are collaborating on a so-far-secret but sure-to-be-epic television project:

“That day you spotted me, I saw the photo [of me leaving the recording studio]. I was actually doing something with Tom Hanks that day. A little bit of a different studio something. He’s working on a new TV show, so you’ll see that pretty soon, and he asked me to be a part of it.”

The mind reels at the possibilities: A small-screen adaptation of Castaway, in which Jonas plays the volleyball? Bosom Buddies revamp, maybe? (Please, let it be a Bosom Buddies revamp!)

“I think it’s cause she has tattoos really, I think [the comparisons show] a lack of creativity on the media’s part,” the Transformers vixen tells Fox News. “I am a brunette with tattoos, I curse and I have made mention of sex before. I joked about it which people find outrageous so they want to constantly compare that to her. You know Shia [LaBeouf] is the new Tom Hanks, Rihanna is the new Beyonce. Everybody is the new somebody although none of us are any of those people so you just walk around with it you live with it.”

How tragic! Doesn’t it suck being compared to Hollywood hot shots? (Besides, isn’t Shia the new L. Ron Hubbard?)

Megan isn’t the only one who has a problem with the comparison. Jolie’s father, Jon Voight, put in his two cents about the issue.  

“Megan is herself and Angelina is herself. No one is comparable; everyone in the world is unique,” Voight proclaimed at the Transformers premiere in Los Angeles. “That’s the great thing about it, but of course they’re two very beautiful women.”

Good thing Megan has a role as a zombie in the thriller Jennifer’s Body to shake off that sexy image.

The Pretty Woman actress, 41, paid supposed tribute to fellow thespian Tom Hanks at the Lincoln Center in New York City on Monday night, and apparently mistook the esteemed Film Society of London event for a Comedy Central Roast.

Us Magazine reports that Roberts’ praise of the Forrest Gump actor was served with a heaping side dish of f-bombs.

“Alright well, it’s late and I’m paying my babysitter overtime and I have to pee,” Roberts began her paean. “So Tom, everybody f*cking likes you.”

But urgent bladder situation or not, the obscenities were far from over. 

“Listen, I had lunch today with [Hanks' wife] Rita, and her t*ts were here,” Roberts continued, motioning high, “and her wasit was here [motioned small] and her *ss was like that [motioned high], so what can I tell you that’s new? Tom Hanks, what the f*ck?”

Roberts went on to note that she didn’t know “what the f*ck” Hanks’ 2004 film The Ladykillers was about, and observed that she was “wearing the same f*cking dress tonight” as Hanks’ publicist.

Of course, Roberts has been known to let fly with the naughty words before. Last month, she unleashed a barrage of f-bombs on Late Show With David Letterman, and don’t even get her started on the pararazzi.

Actor Denzel Washington opened the festivities with a speech imploring the crowd to remember the event’s theme of unity, while Tom Hanks paid tribute to Abraham Lincoln.

But it was the music that was the true stand-out of the gathering.

Bruce Springsteen riled up the crowd with a performance of his post-9/11 anthem “The Rising.” Springsteen was the first in a long procession of musical talents to perform for Obama, 47. Mary J. Blige belted out an impassioned rendition of “Lean on Me,” followed by Jon Bon Jovi dueting with Bettye LaVette on the Sam Cook classic “A Change Is Gonna Come.” John Mellencamp performed his hit “Ain’t That America,” while Sheryl Crow and the Black Eyed Peas‘ will.i.am collaborated on Bob Marley‘s “One Love.”

Usher, Shakira and Stevie Wonder came together to deliver a performance of Wonder’s  “Higher Ground,”‘ while U2 cranked out “Pride (In the Name of Love)” and “City of Blinding Lights.”

The Dublin quartet was followed by Obama himself, who discussed the challenges that the nation faces and the legacies of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Lincoln.

Country singer Garth Brooks and Beyonce Knowles, who’ll be singing during the first dance for President-elect Obama and his wife Michelle at his inaugural ball on Tuesday, also performed.

The stars had aligned to raise funds for Paul Newman‘s charity the Painted Turtle, a camp for children with life-threatening illnesses that he established in 1999.

The event, spearheaded by Julia Roberts, was attended by Bruce Willis, Jack Nicholson, Tom Hanks, Warren Beatty, Danny Devito and boy-snogging Hugo Chavez pal Sean Penn, reports the Daily Mail.

The event also served as a posthumous tribute to Newman, who died of lung cancer in September. The outpouring of emotion was profuse.

“This is the first time we are doing this without Paul,” noted Danny Glover. “There is a void there, without a doubt.”

Hanks remembered Newman as a gracious actor willing to share the screen along with his sense of charity.

“He sort of taught us all how to be in the business and live up to the responsibilities and pull our weight,” said the actor, who starred with Newman in 2002′s The Road to Perdition. “He was a guy, quite frankly, who should have won the Nobel Peace Prize.”

The evening was marked by a 90-minute reading of The World of Nick Adams, A.E. Hotchner‘s adaptation of several early works by Ernest Hemingway. Devito, Willis and Nicholson all participated in the reading.

The Fourth of July holiday is all about celebrating our country and our country’s resources – and if it’s done by stuffing yourself with hot dogs and beer, so be it!

However, there are simpler (and less calorie-consuming) ways to show your patriotism.

Being more environmentally aware with the little things, such as recycling, only driving the Escalade on weekends, or being a green-leaning cog in the all-consuming entertainment machine, can make a difference for America’s future.
