]]> It was a sad weekend for Eva Longoria and Tony Parker, who officially ended their marriage in the aftermath of Tony’s alleged cheating scandal.

Attorneys for Parker signed off on divorce papers on Friday, according to TMZ, making the couple’s separation official. The two filed simultaneous divorce papers in November following a rash of accusations linking Parker to his teammate’s wife, Erin Barry. The two reportedly carried on a text relationship that Longoria discovered, but Parker and the wife denied any romance occurred.

The two have remained mum since the sudden split. Longoria made her way down the SAG Awards red carpet on Sunday night, keeping minds off of her personal life and on her gorgeous fashion choices. She’s recently been romantically linked to Penelope Cruz’s brother, Eduardo.

The Desperate Housewives beauty and the NBA star, who filed for divorce in November after three years of marriage, were reportedly recently spotted together at a barbecue restaurant in Texas (Longoria’s home state and Parker’s professional stomping ground with the San Antonio Spurs), sparking speculation that they might be patching things up. But a source tells Radar Online that it just isn’t so:

“They are not getting back together… just trying to go through their divorce amicably.”

Longoria filed for divorce in Los Angeles amid rumors that Parker had been sending racy text messages to Erin Barry, the wife of his former Spurs teammate Brent Barry, who is also going through a divorce. (A source tells Celebuzz that the text messages were innocuous, and the result of Parker and Erin consoling each other during their marital troubles.) Barry herself denied rumors of the affair on her Web site earlier this month, asserting,

“I did not have an affair with Tony Parker, nor did I pursue Tony Parker…Unfortunately, because our divorces are occurring at the same time, great speculation has been cast on our friendship. My friendship with Tony Parker had nothing to do with the end of my marriage (which is painful enough without this added drama), and to assume that we had an affair is naïve, ridiculous, and completely misguided.”

TMZ reports that the NBA star—who’s currently in the process of divorcing his wife, Desperate Housewives beauty Eva Longoria—has been dropped by his Texas-based divorce lawyer, Richard Orsinger.

The reason? Well, as it turns out, Orsinger—who filed Parker’s divorce petition in Texas on November 19—also represents Parker’s former San Antonio Spurs teammate Brent Barry, who’s also getting a divorce. From Erin Barry, the woman Parker has been accused of sexting behind Longoria’s back. Awk-waaard…

Orsinger reportedly wasn’t aware that Barry would play into Parker’s case when he took Parker on as a client, but has now dropped Parker due to conflict-of-interest concerns. 

According to sources, Parker is currently in the process of looking for another attorney. Longoria, meanwhile, has also filed divorce papers in Los Angeles.

PopEater tracked down several associates of the couple, who reveal that Longoria played a part in the marriage’s discontent. According to the friends, distance presented a major obstacle in their relationship, with Longoria based in Los Angeles and San Antonio Spurs star Parker spending much of his time in Texas. And as time went on, Longoria was increasingly reluctant to do her part to bridge that gap. Says one friend of the couple’s,

“Eva has been no angel, either. When they first got married, they both agreed to spend as much time with each other as possible. They knew it would be a challenge with them working in different states, but Eva’s part-time taping schedule for Desperate Housewives and the resources they had meant it wouldn’t be that hard.”

As time went on, however, Longoria’s commitment to traveling in order to spend time with Parker began to erode. Another pal reveals,

“[At first all] Eva wanted to do was be with Tony and build a life together, but things started to change as she got more and more sucked into the glamorous Hollywood lifestyle.”

Eventually, says yet another source, Longoria began resorting to making excuses to stick around Los Angeles, a fact that Parker quickly picked up on:

“Tony understands how important Eva’s career is to her and never wanted her to leave Los Angeles and settle with him in Texas. But then she would tell him that important meetings came up in Hollywood — which meant she had to stay in LA — and then he would see pictures of her and her friends out at restaurants and clubs. That’s when he knew he couldn’t compete.”

Apparently, absence doesn’t always make the hear grow fonder.

Erin Barry—wife of former San Antonio Spurs player Brent Barry—has made headlines this week as the woman who allegedly drove a wedge between Eva Longoria and Tony Parker, who announced this week that they’re getting divorced after three years of marriage. (For the record, sources tell Celebuzz that, while friends, Parker and Barry are just friends.)

But back in simpler, more free-wheeling times—2009, to be exact—Barry co-starred with the now-estranged couple in a promotional video for the Spurs that spoofed the 1978 musical Grease. With Parker as Danny Zuko, Longoria in a blonde wig as demure wallflower Sandy D and Barry as the more wanton Rizzo, the trio tried their hand at the Grease classic “Summer Nights.”

One day after the Desperate Housewives beauty filed divorce papers, signaling the end of her three-year marriage to Parker, the basketballer is opening up about the split, telling People magazine via a statement from his rep that it wasn’t a sudden decision:

“Eva and I have been discussing our situation privately. I was aware that she would be filing for divorce in Los Angeles.” 

Though rumors have been swirling that Parker had been unfaithful to Parker, in particular with Erin Barry, the wife of his ex-teammate Brent Barry, a source close to the athlete told Celebuzz yesterday that the two are merely good friends, and had been texting each other to express mutual support as they both experienced troubles in their respective marriage.

Parker goes on to note that he has not sought legal counsel in the matter, suggesting that the split will be amicable, and devoid of the typical ugly courtroom battles that mark many  divorces:

“I did not file for divorce in Texas and did not hire divorce attorneys in either Texas or California. We plan to continue to keep our discussions of this matter private.”

A source close to Parker confirms rumors that the NBA star had sent numerous text messages to his former San Antonio Spurs teammate Brent Barry‘s wife, Erin Barry (pictured above), but that the two had NOT shared a romantic relationship.

According to the source, the Barrys have been close friends with Longoria and Parker for some time, even spending New Year’s Eve together a couple of years ago at Longoria’s Los Angeles restaurant, Beso. The Barrys are currently in the midst of a divorce and, our source adds, Parker and Erin’s texts involved the two leaning on each other as their respective marriages went through troubles. A seemingly innocent exchange between close friends, it would seem, but Longoria appears to be prone to jealousy in her marriage to Parker.

One interesting note, Parker recently signed a four-year, $45 million extension with the Spurs. Eva waited til after that deal was signed to file for divorce.

Whatever the motive might have been, our source stresses that Parker and Longoria’s split is amicable.

Meanwhile, the Desperate Housewives has opened up about the divorce to her good friend Mario Lopez, who tells Extra! that rumors of Parker’s cheating indeed weigh heavily on Longoria’s mind:

“Eva wants everyone to know, she’s devastated by the rumors of Tony’s infidelity. She loved her husband and is heartbroken about their split. But she’s strong.”

Longoria, who married Parker in 2007, filed for divorce in Los Angeles on Wednesday. Earlier today, she acknowledged the split, tweeting,

“It is with great sadness that after 7 years together, Tony and I have decided to divorce. We love each other deeply and pray for each other’s happiness.”

Longoria, who has been married to Parker since July of 2007, filed the papers in Los Angeles Superior court on Wednesday, People is reporting. Just a day earlier, TMZ reported that Parker was the one who filed for divorce in Texas, but both Parker and Longoria shot down the reports.

A rep for the couple told Celebuzz on Tuesday that the divorce reports were “100% false.” When contacted by Celebuzz again on Wednesday to clarify the divorce report, the reps said they “are not commenting at this time.”

Various publications are reporting that Parker may have been carrying on an extramarital affair, which led to the whirlwind of divorce rumors. Us Weekly reports that Parker had been carrying on a relationship with “a mutual female friend for nearly a year.”

Longoria and Parker, 35 and 27 respectively, tied the knot in a dream wedding in 2007 at a castle in France — Parker’s native country. In 2009, infidelity rumors began to surface claiming that Parker had cheated. The couple carried on, making many public appearances, including recently at the 2010 Emmy Awards. Watch them below:

Sporting a frilly dress, the 34-year-old Desperate Housewives actress showed up on the Los Angeles set of her show on Friday holding hands with her husband, San Antonio Spurs player Tony Parker. 

How cute. Maybe Tony can return the favor and get her out on the court for an upcoming Spurs game. Bet she has a mean jump shot.

Eva hit pal Ken Paves‘ West Hollywood salon on Friday sporting her cropped Desperate Housewives ‘do and left with high-drama, 70s-fanned Farrah hair.

Could Eva simply be eyeing a slinky summer hairstyle for the approaching hiatus? Or perhaps she’s getting some length on for an upcoming L’Oreal commercial?

Both followed their husbands to Phoenix, AZ, for the 58th Annual NBA All-Star Weekend. Longoria was a dutiful working wife, as her groom Tony Parker played on loan from his San Antonio Spurs.

Beyonce’s hubby Jay-Z took a no-doubt male preferred alternative to the tents of Bryant Park, sitting courtside for the game beside Rev. Jesse Jackson and boxing legend Muhamad Ali.

And while Beyonce and Eva made quite the cute posing pair, Eva got herself into quite a different housewife situation. Parker was seated next to former Presidential Candidate John McCain and wife Cindy.

The Friday prior to the big game, Parker and Tony headed to VitaminWater’s bash for the legendary Steve Nash at Scottsdale, AZ’s Mondrian Hotel.

Elsewhere, the Dallas Cowboys’ Terrell Owens sipped Grey Goose La Poire at the Player’s Association Gala back in Phoenix.

While they’ve quietly been erecting their dream home in San Antonio, Texas (home of baller Tony’s San Antonio Spurs), the matter of their first abode is now settled—the couple is selling their starter home, a property of Tony’s since age 19.

Nestled in a gated community, the stucco pad is appointed on .65 acres. Along with five bedrooms, amenities include a pool and half-basketball-court emblazoned with the Spurs and Nike logos.

Parker first purchased the property in 2001 for $782,040, and is currently asking $895,777.

Page Six reports that restaurant owner Longoria co-hosted the first annual Lingerie Miami, a charity event that benefits global microfinance organizations, at Vizcaya Garden in Miami.

The event, which Longoria co-hosted alongside model and former Tim Gunn’s Guide to Style co-host Veronica Webb, benefits global microfinance organizations.

An obviously huge fan of Longoria’s (and hopefully not a stalker) coughed up 35K to sample Eva’s lips.

The recently de-glamorized girl’s husband, NBA player Tony Parker, wasn’t in Miami with her.

If so, things might have gone a little differently.

The Desperate Housewife star and Beso co-owner is as regular as the house guacamole at the celebrity hot spot.

She’s there virtually every night, and last evening was no exception.

Spies tell Celebuzz, however, that Eva enjoyed a late night meal post-Beso at the Bond St. restaurant inside the Thompson hotel.

Longoria looked “happy and flawless” as she sat in the middle of the booth flanked by two male friends and surrounded by a females.

Throughout the night, the group expanded as one pal after another stopped by to say hello and join in the fun.

And if the 33-year-old did indulge in said Beso guacamole, she wasn’t showing any signs of stopping at Bond St.

“She has a healthy appetite for such a small girl,” says another diner, “she was the first one to dig into the edamame and then the first one to pick up her chopsticks when the main courses arrived.”

Further, Longoria “beamed with delight when the waiter went over some of their options.”

Mrs. Tony Parker never lost her proprietary instincts, however.

“Eva looked like a natural hostess,” our onlooker says.

“When the food arrived, she was the one who automatically cleared the table to make some room and then prodded everyone to start eating.”

Her Desperate Housewives gig has been re-upped to run until 2013, so she’s got the money to raise a child in style.
