McDreamy is dipping his toes in the coffee business world.

On Friday, Patrick Dempsey and his company Global Baristas were approved to buy Seattle-based coffee company Tully’s, which filed for bankruptcy in October 2012.

The approval comes just days after Dempsey’s camp won an auction against coffee giant Starbucks and five other bidders. But the original victory had to be reconsidered by a judge after Starbucks’ bidding partner filed an objection, according to the Associated Press.

“I’ve been deeply humbled by the outpouring of support from the city of Seattle and am very proud to be a new business owner in this amazing city,” the Grey’s Anatomy actor said in a statement.

“We have a lot to accomplish over the next few months and years, and I am excited to now call Seattle my second home.”

Dempsey and his company will purchase Tully’s for $9.2 million.

Tully’s, which has been around since 1992, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy some three months ago, leaving the future of more than 500 employees up for grabs.

Dempsey and Global Baristas will now have full control of Tully’s 47 locations in the Seattle area. Incidentally, his hit ABC series is set in the rainy city.

“We won !!! We won !!! Thank you Seattle ! See you soon!” the actor wrote on Twitter following Friday’s victory.

“It’s 2 in the morning just got home, 15 hour work day, what a day ! This one I will never forget ! Good night,” he later added.
