The new father recently gushed about his daughter Locklyn, (who was born December 18) and told ET Canada:

“I’ll tell you … When Kyla and I had the first pediatrician appointment, we gotta get the car seat and put it in the back of the car. Kyla buckled up and I got in the car. And I was like, ‘We’re a family.’ We’re going to an appointment as a family. It’s just a great feeling.”

The couple, who married in January, welcomed little girl Locklyn Kyla in Vince’s hometown of Chicago.

A friend of the couple spoke to People and said:

“Both of them couldn’t be happier to welcome their sweet little girl into their family!”

That fact is alive and well in the Hollywood dating world, as glamorous beauties fall for less-than-groomed rockers and average joes all the time. Take The Big Bang Theory star Kaley Cuoco, who revealed this week that she secretly dated her nerdier cast mate Johnny Galecki. The 40-year-old Wedding Crashers actor and his wife, Kyla Weber, are expecting their first child together. Vaughn and Weber, a Canadian real-estate agent, tied the knot in January, after getting engaged on Valentine’s Day 2009.

While the marriage of the Vaughn-Webber love duo came as no surprise to folks who follow Vince, no mention of any Jennifer Aniston ex hanging his hat in another woman’s kitchen (that makes no sense) would be complete without much haranging about “How Is Jen Taking This?”

Let’s be real. There’s a burden to being Aniston. Brad Pitt kisses Angelina Jolie, everybody asks, “How is Jen Taking This?” Vince Vaughn meets a girl — “How Is Jen Taking This?”. John Mayer tweets about his sex life….okay, nobody cares about John Mayer’s sex life.

Still, imagine being Jennifer Aniston and any time any ex-beau does anything with another woman, the entire world community shows up at your door with baked goods, to pat you on the head and tell you that everything’s going to be alright.

Yep, it’s got to suck.

The Gossip Girl actress was on hand at Mann’s Village Theatre in Westwood, California, on Monday for the premiere of her new comedy Couples Retreat, about four couples who get into zany hijinks while vacationing at a tropical-island resort.

Also in attendance: Bell’s co-stars Jason Bateman, Vince Vaughn and Malin Akerman, and her beau Dax Shepard.

The actor is renting out his four-bedroom, three-and-a-half-bathroom townhouse in the River North section of his hometown of Chicago, People magazine reports.

For $9,500 a month, a lucky renter can reside in Vaughn’s domicile. For additional money, they can rent the place furnished.

Vaughn, who recently got engaged to a real estate agent Kyla Weber, bought the property in 2005 for $1.45 million, and considers it an investment.

We’re guessing that Vaughn’s Four Christmases co-star, Reese Witherspoon, will not be taking Vince up on this offer.

Funnyman Vaughn has reportedly been seeing Weber for several months now, and there are rumors that he might propose to her.

No engagement ring was in sight on the beach, but Weber was reportedly hanging on every word out of Jennifer Aniston‘s ex-boyfriend’s mouth.

This is probably a change for Vaughn.

The last woman he had to hang out with (Four Christmases co-star Reese Witherspoon) reportedly couldn’t get rid of him fast enough.

After the 28-year-old singer performed at the KISS Country Chili Cookoff in Pembroke Pines, Florida, last Sunday, her curvy figure set off a media storm that has caused other celebrities to, er, weigh in on the matter.

It could be argued that male actors Vince Vaughn and Russell Crowe have also packed on the pounds over the years they’ve been in the limelight. But it’s been to little fanfare.

Vaughn, 38, even carried the hit film Four Christmases to a hefty box office take of $120 million over the holidays.

And yet, when pop star Christina Aguilera put on a few pounds during her Stripped tour in 2003, or Britney Spears appeared onstage at the 2007 MTV Video Music Awards not looking like a stick figure, critics took exceptional notice.

As well, when Kate Winslet actually slimmed down and appeared on the cover of Vanity Fair recently, British tabloids claimed the photos had been Photoshopped.

Their flick was #1 this weekend at the box office, and brought in a respectable $46 million.

The tale of a couple who has to fit in visiting the four branches of their extended families in one Christmas knocked the vampire-teens-in-love drama Twilight out of the numero uno position.

Witherspoon has denied that things between her and slouchy funny guy Vince Vaughn were strained on the set.

Whatever was going on between them (Vaughn hasn’t appeared for any promo appearances for the film alongside Witherspoon) has spun into box office gold.  Maybe it’s good they didn’t get along, and hopefully they’ll still be snappy at each other for the sequel, Four More Christmases.

The start of the Holiday season means going back home to be with friends and family—unless you can get out of it! Which is exactly what Reese and Vince would like to do this Christmas. Except, in a sour twist of fate, they get stuck visiting their divorced parents, in four seperate locations!

The event, held at the Hollywood Boulevard Mann’s Chinese Theater, was also attended by Four Christmases co-stars Katy Mixon, Sissy Spacek, Kristin Chenoweth, Mary Steenburgen (who brought along hubby Ted Danson as her date) and Jon Favreau.

New mom Minnie Driver also made an appearance, wearing a white lace-lined dress with see-through sleeves.

Noticeably absent was the male lead in the film, Vince Vaughn.

While initial reports had Reese Witherspoon seeming at odds with the much-taller Vaughn, 38, last night she told USA Today he was the “funniest co-star she’s ever had.”

Vince was said to be in Bora Bora working on another film.

Next up for Reese is the animated 3-D feature Monsters Vs. Aliens, which is set to be released in March 2009.

Reese, 32, won an Oscar for portraying country legend June Carter in 2005′s Walk the Line. She was also on hand as a presenter at last week’s Country Music Awards.

But the actress tells Fox News she likes to belt out Southern jams when she’s on the road, too.

“I pretend that I’m a country music singer in my car, and I’m really good in my car, amazing,” Reese noted. “It’s just when I get out of my car, I’m not very good at all.”

Witherspoon’s latest film, Four Christmases, will be released November 26, the day before Thanksgiving. It’ll go toe-to-toe at the box office with the Nicole Kidman-Hugh Jackman starrer Australia.

As for the height difference between her (5′ 2″) and her 38-year-old co-star Vince Vaughn (6′ 5″), Reese said, “They had to build ramps that were about the same size as where I should be. It was a challenge, especially the kissing scenes… And he had to pick me up for half the dancing. He’s actually holding me in the air so we can stay in the same frame.”

That sounds a bit toned down compared what’s been said about the pair’s rumored dislike for each other while making the romantic comedy.

That workout you’ve been implementing? It’s not really doing the trick, friend.

Oh, well…at least you’re a gentleman, carrying the bags for your girlfriend Kyla Weber,  unlike some people.

And it’s probably good you’re in Los Angeles; the East Coast is really only big enough for one bloated actor.

Vince Vaughn is not one of those small actors.

And now you, too, can gain the impressive body of one of Hollywood’s biggest stars.

Take note, as Vince endures his occasional workout in the hills of Los Angeles.

Most importantly, one must maintain a safe—some would say catatonic—pace, as if one is being careful not to step on any ants in one’s path.

Secondly—and this is crucial—one must stare down at one’s gut and quietly curse at it.

Since this can be grueling, make sure to stop frequently and replenish yourself with a healthy snack.

And go ahead; reward yourself with a smoke. It’s a great appetite suppressant!
