Leighton won approval from our Celebuzz readers when she sported a female version of a classic men’s suit at the 20th Annual Gotham Independent Film Awards on Monday night. Her style secret? Well-tailored pants that end at the ankle and pairing the masculine suit with feminine black pumps.

Meanwhile, Winona sported an all-black suit at the New York premiere of Black Swan in New York City on Tuesday night. The Girl, Interrupted star accessorized her masculine suit with a silver necklace and smokey eye make-up.

Halle showed off the sexy side of menswear when she walked the red carpet at the Frankie and Alice premiere in a gold and black brocade suit. She jumped up the sexiness factor by pairing the suit with a very low cut black blouse.

Billed as a psychological thriller set in the hardcore world of New York City ballet, the film won’t have it’s initial limited release until December 1st, but has already received high praise from the critic’s circle. Kirk Honeycutt of The Hollywood Reporter called the film “an instant guilty pleasure.” Peter Debruge of Variety labeled Black Swan as a “wicked, sexy and ultimately devastating study of a young dancer’s all-consuming ambition.”

Discerning moviegoers with a good memory will note that this film is Aronovsky’s follow-up to his 2008 award winning movie The Wrestler starring Mickey Rourke and Marisa Tomei.

Rourke told MovieHole (via Starpulse) that he had recently worked with an actress that is beloved by the public for her acting talents but is actually a terrified thespian on set. From Rourke:

I worked with an actress recently who, despite having a reputation as a good actress, s**ts herself when that little red light comes on. She’s fooled everyone into thinking she’s a lot better than she is. Working with someone like that is a pain in the a**.

However, don’t think that Rourke is talking about Megan Fox. The actor gushed about her being a fabulous actress to work with who “knows how to do her homework.”

Slash Film reports that Girl, Interrupted actress Winona Ryder has signed on for the supernatural thriller, which begins filming in New York in a few weeks and follows the intrigue of competing dancers in the New York City Ballet.

As dedicated cinema fans already know, the film will also star Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis, who will reportedly engage in an “angry, aggressive” sex scene together.

Will Winona, who’ll reportedly play a dancer who’s “near the end of her career,” get in on the action?

One thing’s for sure; Portman and Kunis should be careful that Ryder doesn’t steal the show. Because word is she has a little bit of experience in that sort of thing…

Variety reports that a remake of the 1989 Winona Ryder/Christian Slater movie Heathers is underway for the small screen.

The original film chronicled the escapades of two high-school outcasts who offed a snotty clique of girls—all named Heather—one by one, masking the murders as suicides.

“We had the title, and talked about doing a film remake at times,” says executive producer Gary Lucchesi. “But doing it for TV seemed like a fresh and original idea.”

Glad they’re coming up with at least one fresh and original idea!

Held at the Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, California, the red carpet was filled with beautiful people, including the film’s hot studs, Zachary Quinto (on the arm of Winona Ryder!!!) and Chris Pine.

Other stars who showed up to see the sexed-up version of the classic film include supermodel Heidi Klum, Eric Bana, Hayden Panettiere, a newly blonde Leighton Meester, Peter Facinelli, Michelle Monaghan, Neil Patrick Harris, Sophia Bush, Amanda Bynes, Nicollette Sheridan, Tori Spelling, Kristin Cavallari and Kendra Wilkinson.

The film, directed by Lost creator J.J. Abrams, stars Chris Pine as Captain Kirk, Heroes‘ Zachary Quinto as Spock, Simon Pegg as Scotty and Winona Ryder as Amanda Grayson.

The 37-year-old actress’s British Airways flight from Los Angeles to London requested priority landing at Heathrow when it was discovered that Ryder “required medical attention.” Ryder was briefly treated at a west London hospital “as a precaution,” according to her publicist, Mara Buxbaum, and is “fine now.”

A statement released by British Airways notes, “Our cabin crew looked after the female passenger [Ryder] as much as they could onboard and our passenger services staff also accompanied her to the local hospital.” The statement added, “We wish her well.”

Buxbaum declined to release the nature of the illness.

In 2001, Ryder was arrested for shoplifting at Saks Fifth Avenue in Beverly Hills and was found to be in possession of numerous prescription pills. Ryder told Vogue magazine in August that she was on the painkiller Oxycodone at the time, and the drug had left her “confused.”

No word on whether Ryder’s personal medication stash was similarly stocked when she took ill today.

Then again, with Ryder’s demanding social schedule, perhaps she was just suffering from exhaustion during the flight.

The three slender show-biz luminaries took front row side-by-side at the DKNY show at Bryant Park in New York yesterday. The show was part of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Spring 2009 festivities.

Though the three would seem to have little in common besides admirably trim figures, they clearly share an enthusiasm for fashion; the three of them sat in rapt attention for much of the show.

The only question is, does Winona have difficulty clapping with those sticky fingers of hers?

The two Gen X icons last starred together in Richard Linklater‘s A Scanner Darkly. They’re also known for their somewhat lackluster performances in Francis Ford Coppola‘s Bram Stoker’s Dracula. Watching Keanu trying to feign a British accent in that flick was like watching Jessica Simpson try to do math.

“They are also always hugging on the set,” says the mag’s source. “The chemistry is really electric.”

Maybe the electricity is stemming from some sort of court-ordered tracking device Winona has to wear? The stealing reportedly didn’t stop after her humiliating 2001 bust for shoplifting at Saks Fifth Avenue in Los Angeles. Ryder reportedly skipped out of a CVS pharmacy back in March 2008 with some makeup she didn’t pay for. Hey, Cover Girl Lash Blast owes her for even being seen with their product!

Perhaps not worried about this because he lives a sparse bohemian lifestyle anyway, Keanu, 43, has had Winona, 36, over to his place in Manhattan during a break in filming. He probably came out of the bathroom to discover her frantically stuffing all of his compact fluorescents into her shoulder bag.

Not sure this hookup has the heat to go the distance, as set romances usually tend to crash and burn. Enjoy the bumpy ride.

UPDATE:  An insider on the set of The Private Lives of Pippa Lee has confirmed to OK! magazine that there is no romance taking place between Keanu and Winona. How can anyone be so sure? Well, according to the spy, the two haven’t ever even been on on-set simultaneously, making the chance that they’re hooking up highly unlikely.
