The Mean Girls star, 25, was seen dining with the Oscar winner, 76, and his wife Soon-Yi Previn at the Phillippe Restaurant on the Upper East Side in New York City over the weekend. Woody and Lindsay exited the restaurant together with Soon-Yi not too far behind.

Lady Gaga, 26, admitted to Ellen DeGeneres this past December that she too wants to get into acting. “I mean, I guess my dream would be to be in a Woody Allen movie or something. That would sort of be my dream,” she revealed.

The singer took it to a whole new level on Friday with an avant-garde performance of “Marry the Night” on Ellen. Gaga channeled her inner girly girl on stage with platform ballet slippers and sparkly brows. Not one to take a tumble on stage, she swapped out her sky-high shoes before dancing her heart out. Gaga even brought out the big guns by rocking out on a custom made pink key-tar!

Of course, this isn’t Lady Gaga’s first avant-garde performance on TV. Gaga went for a creepier routine (complete with a decapitated body) for her rendition of “Marry the Night” on UK’s The X Factor. Check out headless Gaga belt it out in the video below!

Apparently not, because the director has come out to restate his support for director Roman Polanski just days after a British actress came forward with new allegations that Roman raped and sexually abused her when she was 16-years-old.

Woody, who is no stranger to raising eyebrows with his taste for much younger women, told reporters at Cannes that Roman has “paid his dues” for his drugging and raping of a 13-year-old girl in the ’70s.

Roman made a plea bargain with prosecutors in his 1978 case and plead guilty to unlawful sexual intercourse with a 13-year-old girl.

However, before he could be given his sentence, Roman fled the United States and has gone into self-imposed exile. He is currently under house arrest at his estate in Switzerland while he awaits word from the Swiss authorities if they will extradite him to the United States for the crimes he committed.

Meanwhile, Woody says that Roman is “a nice person” and “an artist” (as if his status as an artist should put him above the law) and said that Roman “did something wrong and he paid for it.”

Apparently, Roman’s penance didn’t stick too well since, as the newest victim alleges, he was molesting and sexually abusing girls several years after he fled the United States.

The 24-year-old Indian actress will team up with the 73-year-old auteur on an as-yet-untitled project that will also star Naomi Watts, Josh Brolin and Anthony Hopkins, Variety reports.

The project is being financed by Mediapro, the same Spanish company behind Allen’s recent Vicky Cristina Barcelona, and will be produced by Letty Aronson, Steve Tenenbaum and Jaume Roures.

This will be the first post-Slumdog film for Pinto.

If Allen’s recent track record is any indication, Pinto should start prepping her acceptance speech for next year’s Oscars; Vicky Cristina Barcelona earned Penelope Cruz a statuette in the Actress for a Supporting Role category on Sunday.

The Latina beauty, 34, looks sultry as she shows off the fashion line’s latest threads.

Cruz recently revealed that the interview process for her last job was a little…odd.

Penelope told the Daily Herald that she met with director Woody Allen for less than a minute about her part in the award-nominated Vicky Cristina Barcelona.

“The meeting lasted about 40 seconds,” she said. “We met, he said he was pleased to meet me, and then we were done. It was so brief.”

Woody Allen must have liked what he saw. He cast Penny in the role of Javier Bardem‘s volatile ex who has a sweet make-out scene with Scarlett Johansson.

“Sometimes he takes Polaroids of actors, he told me,” she continued. “Sometimes he doesn’t talk at all. With me, he talked and we laughed together and I think we connected. I guess he is just shy at the beginning. He doesn’t talk much but he was making jokes and really making me laugh. In those 40 seconds I felt that we could understand each other, the humour, and a month later he called me and said that he was almost finished with the script and that he thought I could play the character. He offered me the movie and I was so happy to hear that.”

It was obviously a good decision on Woody’s part. The film was the most well-reviewed offerings from Allen in a long time.

And Mango must be hoping to package their own version of the Cruz magic.

According to Page Six, a “well-placed source” says that producers for the Woody Allen flick Vicky Cristina Barcelona—in which Johansson stars—have branded her difficult to work with.

“Scarlett isn’t the same,” says the source. “She’s turned into the biggest prima donna.”

Allen previously directed the lipstick-loving starlet in Match Point, a film where the source claims “everyone said she was a sweetheart…now they say, ‘Scarlett’s let it get to her head.’”

Geez, this gal just can’t seem to catch a break lately.

Maybe she oughtta rethink that whole stance she has on monogamy. Even if it doesn’t stop tongues wagging about her behavior, it’d probably at least make for more peaceful times at home.

And Woody even brought wife Soon Yi along. Who knows, maybe he wanted her and Jen to re-enact that face-sucking lez scene from his latest flick. When in WeHo, right?

But the real head-turner is the band on Aniston’s engagement ring finger. What kind of voodoo are you trying to pull here, lady?

Didn’t you just go through a breakup a couple weeks back? Is this the reason you were smiling yesterday? Is it all a cruel joke on the paparazzi?

Perhaps only Woody Allen knows. But back to that Soon Yi makeout session…

But all was not sunshine and self-accolades. Johansson told Us Weekly that filming the movie’s much-ballyhooed make-out scene between her and Cruz failed to rev up her libido.

“There were like 60 crewmen eating salami sandwiches!” the alleged Ryan Reynolds fiancée revealed. “It’s really the least sexy thing you can ever imagine!”

Is she kidding? Being surrounded by five dozen beefy unionists sucking down sliced cold cuts, combined with the white-hot eroticism of Woody Allen barking orders at you? And she didn’t get turned-on?

Scarlett Johansson clearly doesn’t know sexy.

Oh, wait; she totally does.
