Get a load of Jennifer Lawrence on the set of X-Men: Days of Future Past.

Director Bryan Singer just tweeted a pic of the star, who is seen posing in her revealing “Mystique” bodysuit and neon orange hair. Singer wrote, “First look: #JenniferLawrence as a vengeful #Mystique. #XMen #DaysOfFuturePast” alongside the sexy shot. J. Law is her reprising her Mystique role in the new X-Men film. She took over for Rebecca Romijn back in 2011 for the last installment, X-Men: First Class.

Lawrence has also been busy making the rounds in Cannes for the much-anticipated flick, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. We’re looking forward to seeing the Hollywood darling do her thing in both of these huge upcoming movies.

One thing’s for sure about Jennifer: she makes a very attractive mutant.

Halle Berry‘s petite baby belly has seemingly disappeared in this behind-the-scenes snapshot on the set of X-Men:Days of Future Past.

The 46-year-old, who is currently in Quebec, Canada filming the X-Men: First Class sequel, slipped into her famous figure-hugging costume Monday on set.

Director Bryan Singer was delighted to have the expectant mom reprising her role of Storm, writing on his Twitter alongside the photo:

Berry announced she was expecting her first child with fiance Olivier Martinez earlier this month.

The Oscar-winning actress and Martinez, 47, began dating in 2010 shortly after she her split from Canadian model Gabriel Aubry, who’s the biological father to her 5-year-old daughter, Nahla.

Slated for release in 2014,  X-Men: Days of Future Past will also star James McAvoy, Anna Paquin, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Hugh Jackman, Ellen Page and Nicholas Hoult.

They may have parted ways before awards season began, but Nicholas Hoult is still happy for ex-girlfriend Jennifer Lawrence, who nabbed the Oscar for Best Actress Sunday night.

“I’m very, very happy for her,” the Warm Bodies actor told E! News. ”I’m thrilled!”

The 23-year-old added that he thought Lawrence’s flick, Silver Linings Playbook, was “was great!”

Lawrence, 22, and Hoult first met on the set of X-Men: First Class in 2010 and have been open about their relationship.

“[My boyfriend] is honestly my best friend, and hopefully I’m his best friend too,” the actress told Elle last December. “He’s my favorite person to be around and he makes me laugh harder than anybody.”

The couple called it quits in January right after Lawrence swept 2013′s People’s Choice Awards.

Though they’re not longer romantically linked, Lawrence and Hoult will reunite on the set of X-Men: Days of Future Past, the next installment in the comic book saga.

“We’ll wait and see how that relationship develops,” Hoult said of their onscreen romance. “They’re going to split between different times a little bit, with the older cast coming back, so we’ll have to wait and see.”

First, Ron Howard announced that he was in talks to adapt Neil Gaiman‘s The Graveyard Book. Now, the director is reportedly circling another novel to turn into a movie: The Heart of the Sea. Howard could start shooting Sea as early as this fall for Warner Bros., re-teaming the director with Chris Hemsworth, the star of Howard’s upcoming Formula-One racing drama, Rush. Sea, set in the 19th Century, tells the story of sailors lost at sea after being attacked by a sperm whale. And yes, this tale went on to inspire the classic Moby Dick. [Vulture]

Chloe Grace Moretz, who recently wrapped work on the remake of Stephen King‘s Carrie, is attached to star next in an adaptation of YA novel If I Stay.

Twilight‘s Dakota Fanning was previously attached to star in the film, which tells the story of Mia, a 17-year-old cellist destined for big things, until a terrible car accident puts her in a coma. The story unfolds from Mia’s “out of body experience” while still in the coma. Nashville‘s RJ Cutler will direct, marking his feature film debut. [Variety]

Fresh off writing The Inevitable Defeat of Mister and Pete, one of the most talked about movies at this year’s Sundance Film Festival, Michael Starrbury has landed a new gig. On Wednesday, it was announced that Starrbury will rewrite the script for Morgan Creek’s untitled  Tupac Shakur biopic. The film will chronicle the rapper’s rise to fame in the 1990s, culminating with his murder in 1996. A director has yet to sign on, but expect one to board the project soon. [Deadline]

The Muppets sequel keeps collecting quite the cast. First Tina Fey and Ricky Gervais, now Ray Liotta. The Goodfellas star has officially signed on to play an undisclosed role in the film, which starts shooting this month. This is not Liotta’s first run-in with the Muppets; he previously played a dim security guard in Muppets From Space. The Muppets sequel, rumored to be titled The Muppets…Again, is set for release on March 21, 2014. It was recently announced that January Jones will return for Mad Men‘s sixth season, but will she reprise her role as the villainous Emma Frost for the X-Men: First Class sequel? “I don’t know that I’m in it, I don’t think Emma’s in this one,” Jones told Collider.com on Thursday. While Jones has yet to hear from X-Men: Days of Future Past director Bryan Singer regarding her character’s return, she does remain slightly optimistic. “I wouldn’t put it past them though. I got the script for the first one on the airplane on the way there.” [Collider]

Coen Brothers fans? We saved the best for last. The first trailer for the Coens’ new movie, Inside Llewyn Davis, is now online. Drive‘s Oscar Isaac plays the titular folk singer, who is struggling to find his way on the music scene in the 1960s. Frequent Coen collaorator John Goodman (The Big Lebowski) also stars. Watch the trailer below.

Is Hugh Jackman signing on for X-Men: Days of Future Past?

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jackman is in talks to play Wolverine in the highly anticipated sequel to X-Men: First Class. Should he ink the deal, he’ll join Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen – who portrayed X-Men founder Professor Charles Xavier and mutant leader Magneto in the original X-Men movies, respectively.

This will also be the seventh time Jackman has portrayed Wolverine on the big screen. Most recently, the actor had a small, yet memorable, cameo in X-Men: First Class, telling off Professor X (James McAvoy) and Magneto (Michael Fassbender).

Days of Future Past director Bryan Singer recently announced First Class actors McAvoy, Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult would all be returning to reprise their roles in the new flick.

Meanwhile, Jackman recently wrapped production on The Wolverine, a sequel to X-Men Origins: Wolverine. 

13Disney dropped the proverbial mic Tuesday, dominating the entertainment news cycle with their purchase of Lucasfilm and plans to release a new Star Wars trilogy.

But that wasn’t the only news to come out of Hollywood yesterday.

1. New Star Wars Movie Set for 2015. Holy Sh!@

George Lucas handed Lucasfilm and the Star Wars franchise over to Disney on Tuesday, along with treatments for Episodes VII, VIII and IX. Nerds everywhere rejoiced with resounding puffs on their inhalers.

2. X-Men: Days of Future Past Finds a Director

Matthew Vaughn is out, Bryan Singer is in.

The director of the first two films in the original X-Men trilogy will step in for Vaughn to helm X-Men: Days of Future Past, Deadline reported on Tuesday.

Vaughn will serve as a producer on the X-Men: First Class sequel, which is on track to hit theatres July 18, 2014.

3. Producer Talks Status of ‘Bond 24’

James Bond producer Gregg Wilson sat down with Swedish film site Moviezine Tuesday to discuss the franchise’s future after Skyfall.

Contrary to internet rumors, Wilson confirmed that Benedict Cumberbatch has not signed on to play the villain in Bond 24. “I can confirm that none other than Daniel Craig has got a role in Bond 24,” Wilson told the site.

The producer also teased that the story for Bond 24, to be written by Skyfall co-author John Logan, will continue to “put Bond in situations that feel interesting” and help engage star Daniel Craig as an actor.

4. The Man With the Iron Fists 2 Could Happen

RZA’s directorial debut, The Man With the Iron Fists, arrives in theatres this weekend, but talk about a sequel has already begun.

Producer and co-writer Eli Roth (Hostel) told WeGotThisCovered.com of his early plans for a sequel.

“RZA and I talked about continuing the story while we were shooting [the first film]. We really wanted to write the foundation of something that could continue if we decided to. It was such a great fun, creative collaboration and obviously it depends on how the public likes it, but it is something we’d love to continue.”

5. Kurt Russell Set to Star in Horror Western Bone Tomahawk

Jack Burton himself, Kurt Russell, will headline an ensemble cast for first-time director S. Craig Zahler’s Bone Tomahawk, Variety.com reported Tuesday.

The story centers on Russell’s character, a sheriff, as he leads a small team to rescue people from “a group of cannibalistic troglodytes.”

Actors Richard Jenkins (The Cabin in the Woods), Peter Sarsgaard (Green Lantern) and Dexter’s Jennifer Carpenter also star.

No word yet on the film’s release date, but we’ll keep you posted.

Hugh Jackman’s The Wolverine reveals when it takes place, and X-Men: Days of Future Past loses its director.

X-Men: First Class director Matthew Vaughn has vacated the director’s chair on the film’s sequel, Days of Future Past. And it looks like Bryan Singer, who directed the first two X-Men movies more than a decade ago, may replace him.

While no reason was given for Vaughn’s departure, Deadline reports that he will still serve as producer on the First Class sequel. (Vaughn also helped write the story treatment with First Class and X3 screenwriter Simon Kinberg.)

Singer tops 20^th Century Fox’s list of replacement directors, as the former X-Men director is currently producing the sequel. (Singer also produced First Class.)

This is not the first time Vaughn exited an X-Men movie mid-stream. He famously departed production on 2006’s X-Men: The Last Stand. Brett Ratner stepped in to helm that sequel.

If Fox wants to keep their July 18, 2014 release date, they will have to find a new director soon. Singer’s affiliation with the production and the overall X-Men film series makes him the most obvious choice. We’ll update you as the story develops…

Empire Magazine debuted a new image from the highly-anticipated The Wolverine, revealing that the popular X-Men character will indeed wield his bone claws.

For the uninitiated: Wolverine is a mutant distinguished by an incredible healing factor and his aforementioned claws. Those claws – along with the rest of his skeleton – were coated in indestructible adamantium in 2009’s X-Men Origins: Wolverine, a prequel that director James Mangold’s film reportedly does not acknowledge. Surprisingly, The Wolverine will however acknowledge the original X-Men trilogy, serving as a distant sequel to those films.

“Where [The Wolverine] sits in the universe of the films is after them all,” Mangold revealed in an interview with Empire. “Jean Grey is gone, most of the X-Men are disbanded or gone, so there’s a tremendous sense of isolation for him.”

Spy photos from the set, involving Wolverine’s travels in Japan and glimpses of a WWII Japanese POW camp, lead to speculation that the movie would indeed be a prequel of sorts. The reveal of the bone claws implies that either flashbacks will be used at some point in the story, or that Wolverine has been stripped of his adamantium.

In any case, Mangold believes it’s essential for his film to exist outside the current continuity:

“That’s something that for me was very important, that I land in a very specific place in his timeline,” says Mangold. “I wanted to be able to tell the story without the burden of handing it off to a film that already exists and having to conform to it.”

“The ideas of immortality reign very heavily in this story and the burden of immortality weighs heavily on Logan. For me that’s such an interesting part of Logan’s character that is nearly impossible to explore if you have a kind of league or team movie.”
