Nicole Kidman Knealt in Tom Cruise’s Shadow

In the latest issue of Glamour, cover girl Nicole Kidman talks about her lack of self-esteem while being married to Tom Cruise for almost a decade.

“I felt I became a star only by association,” says Kidman. “I didn’t think [the early movies] were very good, which is why I would always cower in the background.”

Hey, now! To Die For was pretty decent, Nicole. Although, your co-star in that one seems to be going off the deep end these days.

“I thought, I don’t deserve to be here. We would go to the Oscars and I would think, I’m here to support [Tom]. I felt it was my job to put on a beautiful dress and be seen and not heard.”

Hmmm. This sounds familiar. Except for the beautiful dress part.
