Nicole Kidman: Red Ahead
Nicole Kidman‘s blonde days are over and out.
The Australian actress, 41, posed for a Vogue photo-shoot yesterday in which she walked along the Malbu beach (which is extremely popular locale lately for photo-shoots) in an elegant, plum-colored gown coupled with a shade-providing parasol.
And revealing a new hair color. Kidman is back to her trademark red.
This is a good career move on Nic’s part. Has anyone noticed that all of her critically acclaimed films (To Die For, Moulin Rouge!, The Others, The Hours) were done when she had red hair, or any color besides blonde?
Her blonde phase was marked by some real duds—The Invasion, The Golden Compass and her biggest flop to date, the would-be epic Australia.
Kidman’s upcoming films include the adaption of the musical Nine with Daniel Day-Lewis and a flotilla of other female celebs (including Kate Hudson, Fergie and Sophia Loren). She’ll also be appearing the thriller Need, according to the Daily Mail, playing a therapist who discovers that a suicidal patient (played by Kidman’s best pal Naomi Watts) is having an affair with her husband.
Sounds like a one-two punch that could put the rediscovered redhead back on the top shelf, where she belongs.
