Nicole Richie Has Given Birth!

Yep, that’s right. And it’s a boy!
Nicole Richie gave birth to a healthy baby boy early this morning in Los Angeles!
The name? Get ready for it: Sparrow James Midnight Madden.
This is the second child for Nicole and partner Joel Madden. They have 1-year-old girl, Harlow Winter Kate Madden.
Richie announced on her blog, “He weighs 7lbs 14oz. Nicole, Joel, Harlow and Sparrow are all doing well. Thank you for all of your good wishes.”

That is the most retarded celebrity name to date. If you’re going to bastardize your kid with something ridiculous like a bird name, you should at least pick a more badass bird: Hawk, Condor, Eagle, Oriole, or Hummingbird.
Sparrows are the Toyota Tercel’s of the bird world.

wow you guys! bitter much?! just because you don’t have a great set of parents who are open-minded enough to come up with such interesting names to name you, that doesn’t give you the excuse to blast joel and nicole for being different.
your names are probably way too generic (aka boooring) to be this distraught upon hearing the kid’s name, i suggest you go and get a name change pronto. it shouldn’t be that bad. hating on others is much much worse.

i love Harlow’s name, Harlow Kate Winter Madden and i guess that Sparrow will grow on people! aslong as they like it then its really nobody else’s business!! if they called him Albert they would have got slagged off for chosing such a plain and traditional name!! they cant win!! their son their choice!! I don’t mind the name, but I think Harlow is a lot prettier. Obviously, if the kid doesn’t like it, he will go by James. No big deal.
