Nicole Richie, 27, and her lovely daughter with Joel Madden, Harlow, 1, were sighted leaving a house in West Hollywood after a surely spirited playdate.

Both ladies were bundled up to stave off the LA winter chill. Harlow in an adorable coat with white stocking hat, and Nicole in a black beret with some serious boot action going on.

And Harlow has a toy giraffe to keep her busy.

Nicole is busy these days. Her dalliance with reality TV programming seems to be over for good.

She spends most of her time these days raising her daughter with companion Joel, 29, and running their charitable foundation , the Richie-Madden Children’s Foundation, for young mothers.

And the glittery headband wearer could have more on the way.

People DO evolve and grow, it seems.
