Kanye West hasn't been the only famous victim of bad information this week.

Nicole Richie's baby daddy, Joel Madden, was forced to set the record straight on Wednesday morning after Star Magazine reported that the two had secretly gotten hitched.

According to Star's report, the two tied the knot on the sly on October 14—in a ceremony that was, no less, part of a mass wedding conducted by the Unification Church.

This was apparently news to Madden, who jumped on his band Good Charlotte's Web site to clear the air.

Madden wrote,

"I keep getting emails from old friends and family asking about a wedding. NO we didn't get married."

Do you hear that, Star Magazine?

Hope that clears things up. The rumors that the couple's new arrival Sparrow is absolutely adorable, however? Turns out they're totally true.
