Nikki Reed Comes Out for Team Jacob
No need to wonder which side of the Team Edward-Team Jacob debate Nikki Reed sits on—she’ll come right and tell you.
The Twilight actress, who plays Rosalie Hale in the somewhat popular vampire movie series, recently explained to Rolling Stone‘s Peter Travers why her loyalties belong to Taylor Lautner‘s Jacob Black character.
Says Nikki,
“When I was younger, Edward would have been super appealing. He’s so sexy and mysterious, and he doesn’t give you everything that you want. There’s always something else. He’s keeping you waiting.”
Yes, plus, he’s kind of girly, right, Nikki?
Reed continues,
“Jacob’s just there. For some reason, young girls, they don’t want the guy that’s just there…I’m Team Jacob.”
So Reed’s into guys who are “just there,” huh? Wonder how her current beau, Paris Latsis, feels about that.

I agree totally. Edward is something ‘unattainable’ and thats whats attracts all those girls. Jacob is the kid next door…the one whos there and you know always will be and therefore don’t want him. I’ve definately been Team Jacob ever since reading the books two years ago.

He tricks her in2 kissin him by sayin he’ll kill himself. he forces him self on her and is constantly say “u love me, u love me” kinda despeate (all in eclipse) and in new moon he tries 2 kiss her twice when shes obviously not there 4 that. He doesn’t make her completely ‘whole’ agen becos she jumps of a cliff.

Yes but edward is controlling. By telling her she isn’t allowed to she Jake. I’ve been in that relationship before, its no good. Jake may say choose between us but the way edward goes about it its so wrong.

Bella doesn’t jump off the cliff to kill herself, she is doing it to get the adrenaline rush so she’ll hear Edward’s voice. Bella’s relationship with Edward is so unhealthy. She’s obsessed, not in love.

Personally, I prefer Jacob. Not becuase he’s just there but becuase he’s fun loving and funny. Whereas Edward seems to be a bit over protective for my taste. Call it what you want, but I think that Bellas love for Edward is so strong that she sems to have an obsession with him

I can’t stand her image makeover she’s doing, trying to dress more demure and come off more relatable. This chick just needs to own that she’s sloppy seconds in the twicast department and work that angle-Ashley has no problem playing the ho, she can too!

Dude, she needs to take better care of herself. The rest of the girls in the cast look so young and fresh and Nikki is aging quickly. She looked like she was a 40 year old housewife on a cruise at the NY screening!
Bella didn’t jump off the cliff just to hear his voice-she jumped because she promised edward she’d be safe. He in turn promised to never return if she kept herself safe. By jumping off the cliff, she’s breaking her promise to stay safe—and then in turn he can break his promise to never return.
I think all the people commenting against Nikki are all very young. We’ve all been there, we’ve all been teenagers in love with an ideal, a man/woman we see as perfect (maybe a movie star or that High School guy who seems unattainable) but most of the time if you get to know that person you see that you hyped yourself up for nothing. Either your personalities clash, he’s got no personality or is just plain dull (like Edward’s case!).
I’m not a Twilight fan, I’ve read the books and frankly it irks me that such a mediocre series is so popular. After New Moon Jacob became as emotionally abusive to Bella as Edward has always been. Bella is just a moron for putting up with it.
That being said, I think it shouldn’t matter if a man is gorgeous if he’s a creepy stalker and abuses your emotions, that’s what Edward is… If he was unattractive, all these teenager girls wouldn’t give a damn about the “saga”
People should fall in love with someone who will be there for them, who is a friend, confidante and respects girls for who they are. Not someone who guilt trips you into kissing him or someone who enjoys emotional blackmail and ripping your truck engine so they can control you.
In short, all relationships in Twilight are messed up. I wish teenagers would spend half the time they spend gushing about Edward’s sparkly torso reading some good book (Bronte Sister, Austen, Tolkien, Lovecraft, hell even Rowling and Stephen King are 10 times better!)
But if you have to choose between Edward and Jacob? Jacob by a longshot… New Moon!Jacob that is, not the pod person he was during Eclipse and Breaking Dawn.

I agree with Nikki. Jacob is just more fun. He and Bella actually have fun when they’re together. Edward is too intense and protective for my taste.

In Eclipse afta a while edward changes A BIT and says HIMSELF THAT HE TRUSTS HER ENOUGH SOO SHE CAN GO TO LA PUSH COS HE DOESNT WANT IT TO DRIVE A WEDGE BETWEEN THEM ITS JACOB WHO CARRIES ON TRYIN 2 PUSH HER AND FORCES HIMSELF ON HER AND THREATENS TO KILL HIMSELF IF SHE DOESN’T KISS HIM

Love is an intense emotion, that is what the characters, Edward & Bella have, an intense relationship, complicated, but intense. Remember, Love is not always easy to find, when you find it, hold on to it because it’s really special…….. Team Love, Edward & Bella all the way!
