No Felony Charges for Alleged Miley Cyrus Stalker
The man accused of stalking Miley Cyrus just caught a very lucky break.
E! Online reports that 53-year-old Georgia resident Mark McLeod won't be indicted on felony charges, since prosecutors don't believe they can prove that he maliciously targeted Cyrus.
McLeod was arrested once in June on disorderly conduct charges, for making "inappropriate comments" to young girls near the Tybee Island, Georgia, set of Cyrus' film The Last Song, and once again in August, when he was slapped with an attempted stalking charge. He has claimed that Cyrus has secretly communicated with him through photos and her television show, and allegedly attempted to head-butt a cop during the June incident.
Despite a felony charge being off the table, McLeod still isn't off the hook; prosecutors will be moving the case to state court, where he'll face misdemeanor charges of criminal attempt to commit stalking and disorderly conduct.
