No Quickie Wedding for Uma Thurman After All

Oops! Don’t panic about not hitting up Uma Thurman‘s registry just yet…turns out she and financier fiance Arpad “Arki” Busson were only throwing a formal engagement party at Thurman’s Manhattan apartment Wednesday night, says People, not having a wedding, as was reported elsewhere.
You just knew Uma and ex-husband Ethan Hawke gettng married on the same day was too good to be true. After all, when you’ve snagged a Swiss millionaire, surely you wanna squeeze every penny out of him for a lavish shindig, not exchange vows next to an IKEA coat rack.
Hmmm. Wonder if Uma’s timing her happy day around Ryan Shawhughes‘ impending due date to get out of inviting her baby daddy and backstabbin’ ex nanny to the wedding?
That would have been awesome though!
