Oprah Not Headed to Washington
Apologies to President-Elect Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama.
Oprah Winfrey has no plans on being your neighbor just yet.
The New York Post's Page Six reported this morning that the daytime queen was shopping for a pad in Washington, D.C.
A source for the column said 54-year-old Winfrey was eyeing a nine-bedroom estate in Georgetown with a $50 million price tag.
"This report is absolutely untrue," says Oprah rep Lisa Halliday.
Winfrey instead sits content with her current real estate portfolio, which includes a penthouse in Chicago (where her syndicated talk show tapes), several condominiums on Fisher Island off the coast of Miami and a 42-acre estate named "The Promised Land," in swanky Montecito, California.
