Pam Anderson Scares up Some Fun in Miami

Dec 8, 2008 at 10:39am

Was Pam Anderson really helping the floundering print-media industry when she hosted a party for Ocean Drive Magazine—”the premiere publication for South Florida capturing glamour, fashion and the local social scene”—in Miami on Saturday night?

The animal-rights enthusiast and occasional actress served as mistress of ceremonies for the soiree, held at LIV nightclub at the newly reopened Fontainebleau hotel over the weekend.

The bash was to celebrate the mag’s December issue, which features Anderson prominently.

But the increasingly weathered 41-year-old looked more like she was auditioning to replace Heath Ledger as the Joker in the next Batman flick. Did her grim visage really put anyone in a partying mood?

If Ocean Drive is truly serious about remaining a viable publication, next time they throw a bash they should probably pick a celebrity who really knows how to inspire a festive atmosphere in Florida.
